I was told to eat here for a true Korean experience and they were not kidding. I just got back from the South Korea a d I can share that this was very traditional and I felt like I still back there. I had Bibimbap and it was delicious with the hot stone and the every stays hot. You can add the level of spicy or hotness that you want. The kimchi was great and all the sides made the experience even better. The service was good and the ladies were very attentive. The restaurant was great and the ambiance did not disappoint. If you are in the mood for some true Korean food, this is your place. You are welcome!

One of Atlanta's best family-owned restaurants. Been coming here for over ten years -- since the days when Grandma would come out from the kitchen to make sure we liked her cooking - and the food is consistently fresh, homemade, flavorful and affordable. Love the hot barley tea, tofu soup, and mushroom bibimbap. The banchan are all delicious, our favorite of any we've tried.

Been here twice and enjoyed both visits. Def recommend coming for lunch because their deals are pretty great and food comes out fast. Prob going to be a new go-to spot for us! We started with the seafood pancake - massive and loaded with squid, clams, etc. Came with a dipping sauce that helped balance the flavors for those who don't love seafood as much as I do. For our mains, we each got a bimbimbap. I got the spicy squid and thought it was super tender and had a nice kick - bonus points for the bowl being loaded with veggies. The side dishes are always one of my fav parts of Korean restaurants and this place doesn't miss!

I had medium expectations for coming here since Atl (and Buford Hwy) have SUCH good Korean food options, and Stone Bowl House only had a solid 4-stars on Yelp! I'm soooo happy I went, however, so I can contribute towards getting Stone Bowl House closer to the 5-star review that they SOO deserve! Everything was delicious. All three of my guests (2 Koreans) and I were obsessed. We all remarked that we EASILY could have scarfed down two Stone Bowls each-- because they were so delicious not bc they were too small. We're all SO happy we tried it and totally plan to go back. We tried 5 or so different dishes between all of us and enjoyed them all. The ambiance is also nice and quiet, but still lively-- good for conversations!

Love this place! They have delicious homemade Korean. Kimbap is amazing and so are the stone bowls. The crispy rice will have you dreaming about it!

I loved everything. Prices are good for lunch, got the bulgolgi bibimbap Dolsot. Nice portion size. All banchan is so good and the bowl stays nice and hot the entire meal. Parking is plenty but in a small shopping center. Easy to get to. Service is quick but they don't check on you too often which is ok. I'll come back !

Great place! We got the beef and chicken Bulgogi and the pan seared dumplings. Everything was excellent. The meat was very tender. The dumplings were a favorite! The staff was very nice and our food came out quickly. I loved the intimate booth setting. It was nice to sit and catch up with family. We will definitely be back. I want to try one of the stone bowls next.

Well worth the drive!! We vote this place as best bibimbap in Atlanta!! We tried the bulgogi hot stone bowl bibimbap, the squid, and the eel. They were all delicious!! And the various kimchi little accompaniments that kept getting refilled were so refreshing and yummy. The cucumber spicy one was a hit and the cucumber melon (or at least it tasted like it apple or melon coleslaw was sooooo good!!), the fish, the potatoes, etc. they were all good!! We got to sit in a traditional private booth. Great ambiance for a family or group of friends or co-workers. It's always a hit, when we bring in friends who have not been or have never tried an authentic Korean restaurant.

The environment is very cute, there are a lot of private booths. The banchan here is very unique. They're all very good packed with alot of flavor, the seafood pancake here is good. Not oily, comes with an addicting sauce. The bibimbap is good but the most unique one is the eel bibimbap. The rice that comes with it is not the typical red bibimbap sauce but it reminds me of a mushroom risotto. The service is very good, it was my first time so I know it was a little slow but that is okay!

This place was recommended by a friend. I was looking forward to a meal shared between 9 of us. We had reservations so were seated right away on Friday night. They have separated room spaces perfect for big groups. A lot of us ordered bibibimbop and we unanimously felt thr meat quantity was too little for an 18$ plus dish. The brisket bulgogi dish was good but maybe too sweet and also pricey at 40$ plus. The vegetarian dumplings and pork dumplings were both great. Overall spent a about 60$ per person for food and beer and tthought was a big overpriced for thr overall quality. Ps Banchan refills are charged after the first round. heads up I really wanted to love this spot but I think I'll hv to keep looking for my favorite Korean spot in atl

Seafood pancake was excellent and had good seafood. Yukgaejang was flavorful and big in portion, but it was less spicy than I had expected. The side dishes were great.

Very good Korean food! Cozy homey atmosphere. Service was slim, but they did their best ensure we received our food in appropriate times. The potato banchan was an underrated side dish! The portions for the soups were also huge!

We've moved OTP for work, but make the drive down for some Stone Bowl Bibimap! Everything we remember when we started going 13 years ago, my gosh it has been a long time! Food excelled! Service excellent! Booths to give intimacy, and a great over all vibe. Word of caution, although seating is ample you may to have to wait, but it's worth it! Plaza parking.

    Is there vegetarian food here?

A lot of korean dishes use fish sauce in them even when you ain't realize. But yeah I'd say bibimbap is your best bet. Just don't get the egg but the egg it what makes it!

Despite this, the restaurant was vibrant on a rainy midweek day... Almost full to capacity with patrons. Happy my partner recommended this restaurant! I sat at the bar to place my to go order and was greeted promptly by the bartender. He brought me water and provided the QR code to order. The gentleman next to me was enjoying the Bimibap which looked very enticing, but due to the cold weather, I wanted something warm. Soup was not an option and was directed to the glass noodle dish. The glass noodles were of a sweet potato consistency and included several vegetables. I did not know that the bone marrow mentioned in the description would be an actual marrow, quite large that was discovered once I dug into my dish at home. The flavors exuded were right on point! The portion was also ample for a second meal. Will definitely return to sample the Bimibap on a warmer day and possibly some of the drinks offered. I truly enjoyed the waiting period at the bar, striking up conversation and viewing Misery which was being projected on the wall... A true horror classic. I enjoyed the atmosphere and menu offerings.

The vibe is super cool -- eccentric in the best way, intimate but still lively. They had a movie playing on a projector, which gave the space a whole artsy, underground feel. Now, the menu isn't exactly pescatarian‑friendly, so I couldn't go too crazy, but what I *did* try was solid. The Kimchi Fried Rice was a little on the bland side for me -- I expected more punch since it's kimchi, but the portion was perfect. Most people pair it with their signature chicken dishes anyway, which makes total sense. The Kimchi Crab Cake, though? Absolutely delicious. Packed with savory lump crab, crispy panko coating, and a little lemony finish. YUM. My boyfriend got the Gaja‑style chicken and was obsessed -- crispy, crunchy, tossed in their famous sauce, topped with tofu ranch. He cleaned that plate. Now let's talk drinks. I ordered the Sledge‑o‑matic Lover, and this is the perfect spring/summer drink. Cucumber jalapeño tequila, house‑made watermelon syrup, a splash of lime, a hint of lemon... perfection. It's listed as spicy, but it's really not -- and I'm not a spicy‑drink girlie. This one is fantastic. The service was great too -- warm, attentive, and quick. The food came out faster than expected, everything was hot, and every dish looked beautiful. Gaja really surprised me in the best way.

Service? Excellent. Ambiance? Relaxed and enjoyable. Food? Oh...MAN. Wow…read more.. I came here about 8 years ago with the same family members +1 family friend and we enjoyed dinner then, but it truly didn't compare to this visit. Previously, I had Kang Nam slated as an overpriced, but decent sushi place that serves meals on a more robust scale if you're dining with a party. However, the sushi back then was somewhat underwhelming. Last night, we had a phenomenal set. Hamachi, Otoro, Unagi, Ebi, and more! Every piece was delicately balanced and beautifully arranged. Honestly, I wasn't really expecting too much going in- and I'd only chosen Kang Nam as a place where I could get some decent sushi while my family got something else entirely. My mom had Don Katsu (served with a small dish of Japanese style curry sauce). My uncle got the Tempura Udon, of which they served the tempura shrimp on the side in a bed of tempura flakes. This is kind of genius, because you can make the decision on when you want to dip in your tempura instead of them bringing it and you have to down the tempura fast in order to still have it be crunchy... NOT HERE! It stays crunchy since they serve it separately. Love that. We had refillable banchan: kimchi, king oyster mushrooms, and glass noodles- all of which were delicious. We all received bowls of deliciously simple miso soup and we ordered a set of fried dumplings. Everything was great! That is...until the sushi came out. Wow. Presentation: 10/10. Flavor? 10/10. Portion-size: TEN OUT OF TEN, Y'ALL. The sushi rice was fantastic and they didn't use too much like a lot of places do with their nigiri. The toppings were functionally decorative. The sweet shrimp was especially pretty with two different colors of roe on top. The yellowtail didn't need the toppings it had- green onion and fish/squid flakes(?)- in my opinion, but they added a dimension of texture to the initial bite and a hint of flavor to the finish. The fish was perfect in every way: not too thick, no too thin, overlapping the rice by double to allow for perfect soy sauce dips without soaking the rice, and I just CAN NOT EXPLAIN how good each piece was... The sushi rolls were so delicious and every bite had wonderful textures and flavors, but my absolute favorite roll was the one with the smoked tuna on top- WOW! Absolutely stunned. Never - EVER - have I actually tasted the smoke flavor so clearly and completely. I am a HUGE fan of that one and I can't even remember the name of it...it's in the picture on the plate behind the sweet shrimp. The eel nigiri was also a highlight for me- as it's one of my favorite pieces of sushi, I always order several pieces. I was happily surprised to see they were nearly twice the size I get at other restaurants. Hands-down, the best otoro (fatty tuna) I've had in Atlanta. The sushi chef here also believes in giving special service by preparing some extra pieces for the customers as well. I only ordered one set of otoro, but next time....oh my...my bill is gonna hurt next time. Each 2-piece set of otoro is set at $17, so...yeah... It's going to be SO WORTH IT though. I will 10000% be back- soon. I might just get some Otoro, Hamachi, and one of those smoked tuna rolls...man. SO. RIDICULOUSLY. GOOD. Get in there if you haven't been in a while. Trust me!
