My new favorite Korean spot! After all these years I finally tried them & absolutely love this hidden gem! If you want some authentic Korean soup, stew, or k bbq...then look no further. This restaurant has been here for over 20 years so that should tell you something right there. The inside is outdated, but do not let that deter you from the awesome service and food they provide.

Overall ok place that's open late. If it's 11:30pm, I'd honestly would go to thrill kbbq in Sandy springs instead next time and wait until their midnight special if it's a Friday/Saturday bc it's $28/AYCE per person. This place was $32 for maybe 5 oz of meat per portion of brisket or bulgogi. $42 if you want to get a portion of kalbi. I'd return if it's the only place open and get maybe their tofu soups instead for $14. Service: Greeted immediately upon entry. Our server was really friendly but clearly overworked and voiced it loudly. I do like that they cook the meats there for you. On a late Saturday around 11pm, I saw about 4 employees. Food: Good flavor and taste on the meats and banchans but I cannot justify the price. The meats are grilled on charcoal so it does have a great smoky flavor but that's it. The kimchi is really good here though. Price: $32 for bulgogi and $32 for brisket EACH PLATE. Pictures attached. Pretty good and tasty quality brisket but dang, put a lil more than just 10 thin slices! Not sure how the owner sleeps at night knowing how small their meat portions are. Bulgogi was a little more acceptable size compared to brisket but still ridiculous. Ambiance: 90s vibe for sure- hasn't been updated since 2000 probably. Old school. 2000s music videos playing (Britney spears).

The inside is pretty no frills - no gaudy decorations or loud music. It's a simple spot with good authentic Korean food. Didn't try the barbecue and prices overall weren't an amazing deal but the sides were good enough and the entrees were definitely authentic. Would highly recommend the pancakes, they were made really well and all of the soups seemed really tasty. Service was really quick and I'd definitely be back to try their take on other dishes.

Easy to find, parking is plenty, decor is older. The service was good, prompt and just enough attention. The food: Banchan was solid, side dishes were seasoned deliciously. Kimchi pancake was delicious! Crispy with the perfect amount of savory salty and sour from the kimchi. Sauce wasn't even really needed to go along with it. Galbi was solid but for the price you can get better elsewhere. Plus the portion was smaller. Bibimbap was below average, the veggies were seasoned well but barely any meat and lots of lettuce which felt like a filler. Overall I'd come for snacks but for Buford highway eats and nearby Duluth I'd go for Korean bbq elsewhere for quality of meat and price. The whole meal ended up being close to 70$?! For that price I was expecting more.

A great experience. The restaurant is very true to the owner, and speaks volumes about her dedication to cuisine. It is a true home-cooked meal that tastes great and soulful. The kimchi is hands down the best kimchi I've ever had, it is so fresh with a delicious bite and depth of flavor. I had the silken tofu stew, piping hot and a perfect portion. Really down to earth place with a very cozy aesthetic. Feels authentic, and tastes that way too!

Annoyed this place has such a mediocre Yelp rating because this place was legit. Open super late, banchan was authentic and delicious, food was solid, and the service was wonderful- even super late night! The place is charming- no frills, some might call it outdated but all I saw was a place that was established. Can't believe I was almost deterred by their current star rating ‍‍

3.5 stars is exactly right for this place - high end decent food. I'm rounding up because I was able to get a hot meal at 11:30 PM. I just asked what was good/popular, and got Yuk Gae Jong, but asked for the spice to be medium. Kind of a tofu and beef and noodle and mushroom and whatever soup. It was the right level of spice per my request - note the menu says "very spicy" so I appreciate that. It came with a nice bowl of rice and some bonchon. I would've probably preferred to do Korean barbecue but they require two people to order that, so I kind of got stuck in the kiddie pool (one of the tables without BBQ hardware). Anyways, this was fine for a time of day when I didn't have options. I'd say 3 stars during the day, 4 stars after 11 PM.

This place is simply amazing! Best korean bbq in Atlanta and maybe on the east coast! The kalbi on the real wood charcoal is the best!

The skin is perfectly soft with just the right chew, and everything tastes fresh and made to order. What makes it even better? XL dumplings starting at just $7. For the portion and quality, that's an insane deal. Plus, they even serve complimentary hot tea, which makes the whole experience feel even more authentic. The vibe is casual and no-frills, but that's how you know the food is legit. It's definitely a local favorite for a reason. If you're craving big, juicy dumplings in ATL, this spot is a MUST. When we arrived, I realized the location used to be the old Hong Kong Supermarket -- only longtime locals would probably remember that. The layout inside was pretty interesting. There was a Te'amos milk tea shop in the middle, Lao Szechuan on the right, and the hot pot & BBQ restaurant on the left. The staff greeted us warmly and quickly helped us get seated. One thing that pleasantly surprised me was that they offered freshly made milk teas and fruit teas instead of bottled drinks. The drinks were decent and refreshing, especially for balancing out the richness of the meal. Each person gets their own mini hot pot, which I really liked because everyone could customize their own soup base and ingredients. We chose a variety of broths including mushroom, spicy mala, tomato, and herbal soup. Using the iPad ordering system, we basically ordered one of everything from both the hot pot and BBQ menus. The food came out surprisingly fast, and they even used robots to deliver dishes to the table, which was smooth and efficient. For hot pot, my personal favorites were the fatty beef slices, lamb, beef tripe, black tripe, tofu skin rolls, squid flowers, enoki mushrooms, corn, lotus root slices, kelp knots, fish balls, and beef tendon balls. Everything tasted great with the broth and my favorite sesame dipping sauce. On the BBQ side, the standout items for me were the cumin lamb, beef tongue, chicken cartilage, short ribs, and squid. We weren't exactly BBQ experts, so some meats weren't cooked perfectly, but the flavor was still really enjoyable -- and the best part was that you could keep ordering as much as you wanted. Honestly, for around $40 per person, it felt like a very good value. My parents both thought it was worth the price. We left full and satisfied, and the service was always attentive whenever we needed something. Overall, it was a really enjoyable Mother's Day meal, and I'd definitely come back again with friends next time.

Food: 3.5/5 there is a Kanpai near my hometown that was more 4/5, so I thought I would get a similar experience here, but their hot food bar had barely warm food and not as many options. Tables have spots for individual pots, and the BBQ grill is shared. The Tom Yum broth itself was good. Meat quality was up to par. Vegetables could have been fresher. For anyone with allergies: the sauce bar had a thoroughly written out allergy table and was clean, which was a plus. Drinks: Mai Tai was actually pretty good, and this is coming from someone that typically sticks with a beer. Sapporo is available on draft! Service/cleanliness: 3/5 the host sat us, a party of 3, down at a table meant for 6, which was interesting. We were quite literally one of 2 parties there, and only one other couple showed up while we dined. Our table was also the only table that had a grill with browned oil that came from who knows where. We had it changed to a clean one, but when we were handed the tablet to order, this was also covered in grease/oil. The bathrooms and sauce bar were clean, but at the table I was not satisfied. The server herself was very nice and explained the AYCE experience well. Ambiance: quiet music in the background, plenty of tables that could sit 4, 6, and 8.
