I order online. No human interaction. The computer asks if I want to tip. NO. I'm getting in my car where I pay $4/gallon of gas and driving to pickup a takeout order. So far I have had ZERO human interaction... why would I tip? BTW they charged me a $0.99 service charge for ordering online. I arrive at the restaurant and literally had TEN SECONDS of interaction with the staff as they just gave me my order. All the extras are in boxes and you just take what you want. And they asked ME for a tip. Tip W.H.O. Why do I order sweet and sour chicken and they don't give me the sweet and sour sauce? Literally dry chicken nuggets with no sauce. Basic neighborhood counter service grab your food and bounce spot. I called in an order. There were lots of options, the food was hot and to be expected from a neighborhood china house. I would eat from them again if I'm craving Chinese. I took a star off bc the store was a lil sus when I walked in. I was a tad bit worried about the quality of food bc it was kinda dirty. Now, in there defense, it was pretty late and a guy was out in the front mopping. The saving grace: iMO was when I noticed the the cashier was the cook who happened to be a lone older Asian guy. Main Moon, you are a shining star. The only decent Chinese food I have found since moving here 20 yrs ago. Great crab rangoon, nice portions, always friendly and quick. I appreciate them so much, one of the only places I think really deserve full tipping. The one day I called and they didn't pick up, I knew something must be wrong. Health Score 96 = A on 1/23/26 Tonight I selected two Large Shrimps Fried Rice and the 10 piece Braised Chicken Wings. I've been eating here for several years and I still encounter great customer service and great food. I always call my order in to avoid the long wait and get ahead of the crowd. The ambiance is busy with customers coming in and going out and you can watch the Flat Screen TV while you wait. It's always the shrimp fried rice for me. Enjoy!!! read more

Not bad at all. Pretty darned good, as a matter of fact. And FAST. Holy moly. They said my order would be ready in 10 minutes and they did not lie. I had to race to get there and keep my order from getting cold. Look, yelp wants me to write a lot about the places I visit. In this case, all you need to know is that for a Chinese takeout joint, you are going to find things that you like here, and they're going to serve it up hot and fresh and with a smile. There are a few tables on the inside, but I suspect 95% of their business is take-out. The place was clean. The kitchen seemed clean from what I could tell, and my Mongolian Beef really did hit the spot. I'll definitely patronize them again. read more

The search continues for a go-to neighborhood Chinese place. Although I did like the sweet and sour chicken, everything else was pretty sub-par. Most people would enjoy that there's lots of peas and carrots in the fried rice, but that is a negative for me, as was the piece of hair I found in it. There's no pork egg rolls on the menu so I opted for shrimp, but it all tasted kind of strange. My bf said the spring rolls were inedible. read more

Had the Main Moon special. Nice portion size and flavor. Lots of veggies and meats. However, all pieces were cut rather large esp the broccoli. Hard to eat without a knife. Also no unsweetened iced tea. And, if you eat there, the eating utensils are plastic. Otherwise, good and quick service. read more

so disappointed to the point i have to write a review. my bf and i just got into atl after 6 hrs on the road and saw this place was close to our hotel. reviews were solid so we ordered out. i LOVE lo mein- its something i always order and theirs was bland and i love egg foo young but they didnt put the sauce/gravy with it. i tried it anyways and it was solid but the sauce is what really pulls it together. my bf was pretty disappointed w his food as well. the only thing he liked was his one egg roll at least. just bummed over $50 and not satisfied at all :/ read more

We were in the area for a wedding at the Stone Mountain Resort and we wanted a good NY style Chinese restaurant. We came across this restaurant and we were highly impressed. The food is authentic and the closest in flavor as what you would find in China town. First off the service, then servicing size, rice flavor, soup and even down to the egg roll! This is my favorite Chinese food place locally. They are really quick and decently priced. They have a lunch special which is what I get most often. It comes with a rlsoup or egg roll and fried rice plus your protein. It's a regular dine in Chinese restaurant... no thrills. A few booths for those who want to dine in after they order. Their shrimp egg rolls are my favorite. They are as nice as it can be. But their food is delish and always hot and doesn't taste as greasy as most places. read more

They were quick and affordable. I ordered two meals: shrimp egg foo young & beef mongolia. It came with a massive egg roll and egg drop soup. I enjoyed all of it. The place is super clean and has a high inspection rating. My only complaint is that the food was a bit under seasoned or bland. I added a little more soy sauce and salt than I normally would with Chinese food. Otherwise great spot & I will be back. read more

We enjoy our experience every time we go to Main Moon, and the lady that takes your order is so courteous and helpful. The fried dumplings - pan fried, not deep fried, are handmade and DELICIOUS! They are steamed and then pan fried on one side - we prefer them fried on both sides so we are going to try to request that next time. The spicy garlic sauce is yummy, whether it is the Beef, Chicken, or Broccoli dish. So glad we found this gem so close to our house. read more

This place seemed to be our local Tucker Americanized Chinese food haunt. Hubby and I placed a to go order when I was having a craving for hot and sour soup. We each got an entree, soup, egg rolls, and I also got some lo mein. First of all, this is some seriously greasy Chinese food. I'm of the opinion that Chinese take out should be greasy, but this was a bit much. The noodles and hot and sour soup were both good, but I was less than impressed with my garlic sauce entree. I didn't like the taste of the sauce, but admit that it could be a personal preference. The portions were large so you get a lot for your money. I used a coupon that got us free spring rolls online. I was also happy with the amount of shrimp that I received in each of my dishes. In all, this is a serviceable American Chinese food place, but I was hoping for more. read more

First time going here (went based off reviews on Yelp) and I wouldn't recommend this place as far as the food goes. Service was pleasant but I would rather my chicken be cooked well done and cut properly. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing but I hate wasting money. I wasn't going to risk getting sick by eating this, so in the trash it went. Didn't have time to go back to request a refund because it was during my lunch break. I used to come here YEARSSSS ago, when I worked at the Best Buy up there. I couldn't remember the name and finally stumbled across it and remembered the delicious dumplings and amazing general Tso's chicken....I knew I had to place an order. Gave a call, placed my order within minutes! When I got there, they were packed!!! That was such a good sign for me...means the dumplings are still delicious. We paid, got home and the food was piping hot, even a 30-minute trip away! We ordered the fried dumplings, crab Rangoon, general Tso's chicken, sesame chicken and house fried rice. The dumplings were DIVINE. Juicy and full of flavor. The dipping sauce was a great mix of sweet with the beautiful hint of vinegar. The general Tso's chicken was pleasantly spicy and full of flavor. Not that gelatinous typical fast Chinese spot flavor either...tasted the spice, and the lovely hints of ginger! I always said the key to a great Chinese place, is to try their sesame chicken. And MAN!! The sauce was delicious. Very nice sweet sesame flavor with tons of broccoli mixed in. The rice...the rice!!!!! OMG!!! When I saw the diced pieces of red pork, I already know it was going to be fire. Just the right amount of salt, tons of meat! Tons of shrimp too!!! Crab rangoons, wings and egg rolls here are good. Sesame chicken and some of their other chicken dishes use imitation meat or very poor quality meat so I would not recommend those dishes. read more

Food quality has definitely took a hit after their very unfortunate accident. When they reopened, the prices have increased significantly and the containers have been changed to smaller ones. Portion sizes have been reduced. I have tried to give them chances but the old Main Moon is gone. The last straw for me was how they cook their fried rice now. Before they would make each order fresh using white rice and the ingredients. Now they have resorted to having a big pot of pre cooked bland fried rice that they dip some out and just add your chosen meat to it while heating it up. Not cool considering the new price.
