When I walked in, I was impressed to see a Michelin-recommended sign posted at the entrance, which definitely made me curious to try something they were recognized for. I tried the vegetarian chive and egg bun appetizer, which was light and delicious if you are a fan of chives. Our table also ordered the fried potsticker dumplings--gets good and a must-try. The noodles were so fresh, and I loved that you can actually customize and pick your noodle size. It was also really cool that you can watch them make the noodles right through the window! The restaurant was clean, and we were able to be seated right away. There was a steady flow of people to include take out but it didn't feel overwhelmingly busy. The waitstaff was excellent and made sure we fully understood how the menu worked. Our food was delivered promptly and all at one time. While everything tasted great, I would have preferred the appetizers to come out first, as delivering it all together put a lot on the table at once. Overall, it's a frilly good , clean spot with great service, and I'd definitely recommend it!

On the one hand, they do not have a lot of parking, but on the other hand, most of their customers were there on foot as Weir most of the customers for the other businesses in the strip. We walked in and were able to order within about two minutes. The menus were easy to understand with pictures for everything and the staff made things easy as well. As we ordered and I asked for the Birria Burrito, they asked which one. I let them know that I had seen a video on TikTok about their Birria burrito, but that I hadn't seen it on their menu and that was what I wanted to order. They said it was the Birria Cali and that it was very popular lately. I mean, yeah- the video made it look phenomenal and the audio with it was funny. I had also, previously, seen a video about their Machete and wanted to order that because it looked awesome as well. They had 2! One Birria (beef) and the other was Governado (shrimp). We went for the Birria- of course. Honestly, the Birria Burrito had plenty of flavor and more variety in flavor due to the various fillings- Mexican crema, lettuce, guacamole, potatoes (surprising, but honestly VERY good), plenty of cheese, and the Birria (and the sauce is poured right in- which I think could be avoided). It was delicious, but it shouldn't have been served on the paper as the paper began to rip when I started cutting up the burrito. I had wanted to eat the burrito like a burrito, but the moment that I picked it up, it became nearly impossible. The burrito completely opened up and all the fillings started pouring out onto the paper. I was able to wrap it up again with about half the fillings, but the burrito tortilla was so wet that it was just a huge mess. I ended up eating half of the burrito with a fork. I don't know why they didn't serve it on a plate. The Birria Machete was super flavorful and simple, just Beria meat and cheese with a cup of their dipping Birria soup. It was also nearly 2 feet long! Very cool. I began to wonder if the corn tortillas for the Birria Machete were made in store. I asked- and they said they do make it themselves! The corn tortillas were the most flavorful corn tortillas I've ever had! They had texture and they were clearly NOT the type of corn tortillas that I get at most places, those premade floppy unflavorful corn tortillas like the ones you get in the pack of 150 at the grocery store. When I find out, I will let you know because the texture and flavor of the corn tortilla on the Machete was phenomenal. The place was packed when we got there. It was packed when we left. Clearly, they get plenty of business. Everyone around us seemed happy and content with their food and so were we. I will definitely be back for another Machete to try some other things as well. Give them a shot if you haven't been.

Then the menu prices become inflated without any notice. But for one of the "upgrades" or whatever the reasoning for the extra charge, it was only shredded lettuce along with a small dollop of sour cream and guacamole. It was rather sad. It's something you'd get standard at a chain restaurant like El Sombrero. Oh. If you get the consome, it will be an extra charge of $2.45. And they won't tell you that. But other than that, the food was good! I really liked how they had a separate birrias menu. Make sure you bring wet wipes because your hands will be oily. The birria sliders were delicious. Our strange total came out to be $16.90. Even with the $2.45 consome factored in, the total isn't $15.40. Since they were sliders, it's rather small. They're the size of the square dinner rolls but packed full of cheese, oil, and half chicken and beef. The beef was slightly more tasty compared to the chicken but both was just soaked with their variety of flavors. The birria quesadillas were $17.40. Even with the extra $2.45 with the consome, their math is not equaling $15.95 -- whacky! As for the taste profile, deliciousness. These three quesadillas were pretty massive. And like my sliders, they were equally oily and messy to consume. The horchata was really tasty. For a large, it was $6.75. It tasted different from other places. There was a nice rice flavor to it and less of the cinnamon flavor. Would I visit again? I think not. Good food. Prices were bleh, especially how it seems like we were charged more than their menu prices.

The only minor issue we encountered…read morewas that the lady taking our order seemed a little impatient while we were deciding what to order. We only spent about five minutes or less looking through the menu, but it felt as though she wasn't too appreciative of us taking our time. However, this did not significantly impact our experience. There were also a few mix-ups with our names. My name is Vu, but it was pronounced as "V.U.," and my friend's name, Alen, was called "Aden." These were small mistakes and certainly not something that affected our overall impression of the restaurant. On the positive side, the food came out surprisingly fast, which we really appreciated. I ordered the A1 Steakhouse Burger, and it tasted even better than I expected. The fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned with just the right amount of salt. Although the burger was noticeably smaller than what was shown in the promotional picture, the flavor definitely made up for it. I even added a little ketchup, which enhanced the taste even more. Despite the few minor imperfections in service, they do not affect my rating of this restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was quick, and I would still highly recommend giving this amazing burger a try.

It was only for their "classic" burgers--which I didn't find out until I showed up. The place already had a 90 health score, which made me hesitant. Seeing a visible, overflowing trash can under the sink to the right of the kitchen didn't exactly inspire confidence either. On the positive side, the woman at the counter was friendly. She asked for my name so they could call it when my order was ready. After 15 minutes (for just two burgers, in a not-busy restaurant), I finally had to ask about my food. The cook seemed confused, asked my name again, then looked around before finally finding my order. They never actually called my name, even though that's how the process was explained. The food itself was the biggest disappointment: I paid extra for bacon, but it wasn't added. The burger patty was pink, even though I asked for well done. The lettuce looked ancient, like it had been sitting out overnight. The burger was bland with no flavor whatsoever. The only redeeming quality was the mustard bourbon sauce, which paired decently with the paper-thin slice of pepper jack cheese (on my burger), though my fiancée's burger had the cheese completely forgotten. At the heart of every guy, there are four foods we know at our core--pizza, fries, chicken nuggets, and burgers. And this burger? Easily one of the most basic, uninspired ones I've ever had. The one thing I might go back for is the milkshakes--a few flavors caught my eye. But outside of that, I don't plan to return anytime soon. Even at the promo price, I left disappointed. If I had paid the full $22 (before tax), I would've been even more upset. For now, this is a 2-star experience at best.
