The food was actually superb. But, I don't like their deceptive pricing. Like would you like this and this. And you can actually get half and half. Then the menu prices become inflated without any notice. But for one of the "upgrades" or whatever the reasoning for the extra charge, it was only shredded lettuce along with a small dollop of sour cream and guacamole. It was rather sad. It's something you'd get standard at a chain restaurant like El Sombrero. Oh. If you get the consome, it will be an extra charge of $2.45. And they won't tell you that. But other than that, the food was good! I really liked how they had a separate birrias menu. Make sure you bring wet wipes because your hands will be oily. The birria sliders were delicious. Our strange total came out to be $16.90. Even with the $2.45 consome factored in, the total isn't $15.40. Since they were sliders, it's rather small. They're the size of the square dinner rolls but packed full of cheese, oil, and half chicken and beef. The beef was slightly more tasty compared to the chicken but both was just soaked with their variety of flavors. The birria quesadillas were $17.40. Even with the extra $2.45 with the consome, their math is not equaling $15.95 -- whacky! As for the taste profile, deliciousness. These three quesadillas were pretty massive. And like my sliders, they were equally oily and messy to consume. The horchata was really tasty. For a large, it was $6.75. It tasted different from other places. There was a nice rice flavor to it and less of the cinnamon flavor. Would I visit again? I think not. Good food. Prices were bleh, especially how it seems like we were charged more than their menu prices.
~$40 for two. I got the Birriaquesadilla with consomme and a wife got Birria sliders. We also had a large horchata. The Birriaquesadilla was delicious and juicy. The birria had the same flavors as the birria sliders but the bread soaks up the extra consomme. We felt pretty full afterwards. The horchata was good with a nice clean rice flavor and less cinnamon. It also wasn't too sweet. They also didn't fill the whole cup with ice which is nice. I was charge $17.40: 13.60 Birriaquesadilla + 2.45 consome. = $16.05. I'm not sure why I was charged more. The wife's $13.60 Birria sliders + 2.45 consume = $16.09 but we were charged $16.90. She might have been charged more because she got 3 chicken and 3 steak instead of sticking to 1 meat but it didn't say that on the receipt. The line got super long and I didn't have the energy to argue my bill I guess I always prefer transparency. I would have given this place five stars if the menu prices matched my receipt. Would I come here again? Yes. The food was that good. The little discrepancy on the bill is not going to prevent me from coming back to try the other stuff on the menu. I saw a ridiculous looking flaming hot cheetos birria ball looking thing that someone ordered and I kind of want to try it.
Everything you've seen on TikTok is true -- and then some. I say this half-jokingly, but I'd honestly be okay sinking my life savings into Rey Taco. When I tell you everything here has FLAVOR -- I mean it. The menu is massive, creative, and full of variety. From authentic Mexican dishes to burgers, wings, ramen, and fusion creations you didn't even know you needed, Rey Taco truly has it all. Let's talk about the star of the show: Hot Cheetos Birria Bomb - $9.35 (1 piece) The hype is real. Spicy, cheesy, crunchy, and stuffed with tender birria -- it's indulgent, bold, and absolutely unforgettable. #11 Birria Ramen - $7.25 Rich birria broth, noodles, and meat that warms your soul. Comfort food meets next-level flavor. This was a close second favorite. Jamaica y Guayaba Horchata - around $4 A sweet-tart drink that blends traditional horchata with hibiscus and guava. Refreshing and so unique -- I could've had two. And that's just scratching the surface. The portions were huge, everything came out piping hot, and the flavors? Explosive. It was honestly overwhelming (in the best way). There's still so much I want to go back and try. A few menu standouts worth noting: Tacos Gobernador + Rice & Beans - $18.06 Surf & Turf Birria Ramen - $16.95 Doritos Mexican Pizza - $29.95 Birria Nachos - $16.70 Smash Burger Taco - $4.68 The employees were friendly and welcoming, which made the food experience even better. Even though the place was packed, they moved fast and kept the energy positive. Only downside? Parking. It's located in a super cramped shopping center. Honestly, Rey Taco deserves a standalone building with a drive-thru and its own lot. It's that serious. Bottom line: An absolute must-try. I'll 1000% be back. Next time? I'm ordering at least two Birria Bombs and bringing a cooler.
The level of flavor in this food is absolutely ridiculous. You can tell there are no shortcuts because there is so much depth you can taste. Whenever my friends and I go out, we always order plenty of things and sit on the table. Today I got the beef soup, Smashburger tacos and fries, hamburgers, and fries and the kids got a couple of the novelty items like hot Cheetos burger and hot Cheetos birria ball. Even the rice was super flavorful. The beef in the soup was tender and tasty. Def a hole in the wall atmosphere and the parking lot is super small but the line stays long because the food is amazing! The people are really nice and quick as well. Can't wait to come back!
So, I saw this place on IG, and Rey Taco definitely has a lot of food that many would like to try at least once. How many places around the area have Hot Cheetos birria balls, machete governador (really long quesadilla(?)), and dubai chocolate strawberries?? I stopped by for lunch and planned to have something sweet here because of that. It is a bit hard to park though, not as bad as Atlanta mind, but it's quite limited and tight. Inside is kind of cramped. When I went for lunch, it was really busy and there was a line that went around the tables and almost out the door. They have an extensive menu too that I had a bit of decision paralysis when choosing what I want for lunch. I came in with the idea of getting the more viral items, and then I talked myself into just getting the quesabirria with consomme (it's an add-on for the consomme) and dubai chocolate strawberries. There's a free salsa bar with a good amount of options. They have a notice to dissuade others from taking more than needed or else they'll have to charge for it. It's kept pretty clean and everything was fresh. The food was good! The quesabirria is really cheesy and the consomme had such a rich flavor. I personally may not order quesabirria again though because I got to try the volcan, and I found that much more up my alley. I guess that'll depend on my mood, but there's so much to try here, so who knows. The dubai chocolate strawberries were nice. The strawberries themselves were fresh. I haven't had dubai chocolate elsewhere, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it was nice.
Food was absolutely delicious everything was on point. The customer service was excellent, and the whole experience felt smooth from start to finish. I'll definitely be back. Highly recommend
I love Mexican food, I finally had the chance to try this place this weekend and let's just say some of the food was amazing. . . The customer service was good nice gentleman at the counter was able to help us out. Now let's get into the food, I had a #5 which had birria beef with a side of rice, cold Mac and some refried beans which was good i give it a 6/10 . My bf ordered the #60 on the menu which consisted of shrimp which was a decent size and good amount that was over a bed of cheesy rice with bell peppers and onions which was really good,both meals came with tortilla to eat with. Last but not least we both had to get a horchata drink which was delicious as well. Now for the hype we had the ball and it didn't pass the whole hype it was not really cheesy and didn't taste like nothing like it was burnt no good 3/10. Maybe it was not fresh but it was definitely burnt i didn't take a picture of mine cause it was dry and didn't own up to pulling it apart and the cheese pulling but the one my bf had did but he still didn't like how it tasted. The place had no real decor but they have indoor seating which it was kinda small , be ready to wait cause it looks like the food is cooked based on order and be ready to spend they are kinda expensive.
One of the best and authentic spots for Mexican food I have been to here in Atlanta. This was formerly El Indio, I've wondered what happened and why they changed their name. Nonetheless, you should definitely consider checking this restaurant out. The food here is great. I've tried the tacos, sopa de asada, birria, and more. Each dish does not disappoint and over the years, they have added way more to the menu. The service is good and the food has been always ready in a timely manner. There is also enough waiting room to sit or eat there if you choose. The parking is on the smaller side. If it's full there are some spaces behind/to the side of the building.
10/10 I do recommend. By far best Mexican food I've had in Georgia . Service was great start to finish with mostly Hispanic staff , they showed cohesive teamwork and the ambiance isn't brag worthy but it gives vibes of a Spanish town with great food . I ordered the Burria Ball with hot Cheetos covering it , Torta and a cup of Burria Ramen . All ripe tier and bring your good debit, credit or cash because it ain't cheap but it's worth it . I can't wait to go again
So this taco spot is in Tucker and it's kind of off the beat path, a hole in the wall. But those be the best ones! This Taco spot is heavily into birria So if you need your fix, this would be a good spot for it. It's a small shot. Maybe less than 20 tables or so. There was a bar top area that you can sit at as well. Just a countertop though. Don't expect it to be a warehouse kind of situation. The parking lot is a shopping mall or a small shopping center so there is only limited space to park in as well but it's free. The service is good. If you are eating there, they will give you a number and bring it to you at the table. If you are picking it up for carry out, they will buzz you when your food is ready. Just a note, you do have to pay for every drink, because there is no drink dispenser. So if you think you are going to be drinking water for free, nope, bottles only. Birria quesa tacos - They were damn good. Came hot and still cheesy. I would definitely recommend. Birria nachos - The nachos were a lot. There wasn't as much meat on them as I thought, but they had a lot of toppings. Well they had melted and shredded cheese and guacamole and onions and cilantro along with the meat. But you definitely got way more nachos and you did anything. Birria ramen - It was basically ramen LOL. Of course you can dip your tacos in them, that's probably what it was for, but it was still good! And if you didn't want to dip the tacos you could eat it as is. Pastor taco - solid taco. You needed to put the onions and cilantro on it to set it off. Chorizo taco - also a solid taco, very salty and savory.
My daughter and her friend saw this place on Tik Tok and wanted to try it. We got there around 2 on a Saturday and it was busy but not super packed. The space is enough to accommodate maybe 40 people if I had to guess. The ordering process is very stressful because they have so many items in the menu lol. But the hot Cheeto Birria balls was what we came to try so we ordered 3 at 22.00 which is a bit expensive. We also got a Birria Torta and a Cheeto hamburger and some chicken Flantas as well. Everything was good. We will probably go again in the future.
I've been going to the spot for a while now I absolutely love the taco Birrias with there consume, they have a large variety of food and the customer service is good shout out Junior and Dexeli for there great service. if you're looking for an authentic Mexican taquería This Is the spot. He visitado Esta taquería en varias ocasiones, y tengo que decir que hacen unos birria tacos, deliciosos y sirven bastante, también tienen un menú grande y variado. The service is always great and there's plenty of options to choose from with different varieties of meats and salsas. I think this is a must try spot to everyone and have been coming here for a while. The asada fries are super good as well as their mango passion fruit drink! It's clean inside and they have restrooms so you can sit down to eat or do take out.

A purposely went to this spot because of all the hype about the Hot Cheetos Birria Bombs! needless to say, I am beyond disappointed and had no taste and also my kids love, hot Cheetos and so do I this is not even lukewarm let alone hot Cheetos totally dishonest advertisement. I figured since I was here and I love Mexican food. I will go with something safe since I drove such a long distance and get a chicken quesadilla. This is bad went to worse in my very first bite. I thought it was like some type of tiny bone of some sort that I bit into, after spitting it into a napkin it turned out to be a freaking staple!!! They have no trash cans in the main area of the store. I expected a little challenge with regards to a language barrier, but this is by far the worst that I've experienced. food is overpriced IMO compared to the Mexican restaurants I frequent. I felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome by the service I received straight faces everywhere. No smiles or nothing. Needless to say, I won't be back, and I just donated $30 to their establishment. Ray taco is very easy to find and it's in the little strip mall nestled between and across from several apartment complexes, which means they have a fantastic customer base. On the one hand, they do not have a lot of parking, but on the other hand, most of their customers were there on foot as Weir most of the customers for the other businesses in the strip. We walked in and were able to order within about two minutes. The menus were easy to understand with pictures for everything and the staff made things easy as well. As we ordered and I asked for the Birria Burrito, they asked which one. I let them know that I had seen a video on TikTok about their Birria burrito, but that I hadn't seen it on their menu and that was what I wanted to order. They said it was the Birria Cali and that it was very popular lately. I mean, yeah- the video made it look phenomenal and the audio with it was funny. I had also, previously, seen a video about their Machete and wanted to order that because it looked awesome as well. They had 2! One Birria (beef) and the other was Governado (shrimp). We went for the Birria- of course. Honestly, the Birria Burrito had plenty of flavor and more variety in flavor due to the various fillings- Mexican crema, lettuce, guacamole, potatoes (surprising, but honestly VERY good), plenty of cheese, and the Birria (and the sauce is poured right in- which I think could be avoided). It was delicious, but it shouldn't have been served on the paper as the paper began to rip when I started cutting up the burrito. I had wanted to eat the burrito like a burrito, but the moment that I picked it up, it became nearly impossible. The burrito completely opened up and all the fillings started pouring out onto the paper. I was able to wrap it up again with about half the fillings, but the burrito tortilla was so wet that it was just a huge mess. I ended up eating half of the burrito with a fork. I don't know why they didn't serve it on a plate. The Birria Machete was super flavorful and simple, just Beria meat and cheese with a cup of their dipping Birria soup. It was also nearly 2 feet long! Very cool. I began to wonder if the corn tortillas for the Birria Machete were made in store. I asked- and they said they do make it themselves! The corn tortillas were the most flavorful corn tortillas I've ever had! They had texture and they were clearly NOT the type of corn tortillas that I get at most places, those premade floppy unflavorful corn tortillas like the ones you get in the pack of 150 at the grocery store. When I find out, I will let you know because the texture and flavor of the corn tortilla on the Machete was phenomenal. The place was packed when we got there. It was packed when we left. Clearly, they get plenty of business. Everyone around us seemed happy and content with their food and so were we. I will definitely be back for another Machete to try some other things as well. We decided to check this place out because we saw it on Instagram reels as a top liked taco joint. It is not far from the Jimmy Carter area and it was honestly very worth it. We got the large birria taco that is over a foot long to share between the two of us and it was very worth it and filling. Alright I saw the hype on IG and came to check out for myself. I went in trying to not order the entire menu. Specious area if you wanted to dine in, this kind of food is def better the sooner you can get to it. Don't know why they got 4/5 stars.. NOT WORTH IT! Everything tasted the same and is extremely overpriced for what they have to offer.. Service could improve, but maybe they were having a bad day.. still, the food?? NO ! Only thing that's good on their menu were the overpriced drinks. read more
A friend saw this pls r on TikTok and set up a day for us to all go. We went on Sunday around 6 pm and this spot is a hidden gem! It is kind of small and it gets pack quick but definitely run to check them out! The food was a perfect 100 and the service was great! We are in and the food came out pretty quickly. They have tables for all size parties, we had 5 in my party but there were parties of 2-6 in there. The birria quesadillas was amazing!!! First time here on 3/7/2025"with my bro and a friend. First order I got the Jamaican Guava Red drink mixed with the Mango and a #49 fries with 6 piece lemon pepper wings which was $24.05 #49 $12.95 $4.50 Agua tax $1.05 tip $5.55 first order. I chose to tip first time here for the customer service because the guy took my order and the lady would bring the food to the table. My food was good. My friend gave me half of his shrimp nachos. The nachos were good. So I got a second order right before I left. 3 churro cheesecakes one for my bro my friend and me at $7.50 each came up to $22.50 + $1.35 tax for a total of $23.85 now on this order I tap to pay on my card which I did now for the option to tip or not which is my choice the male cashier turns the computer screen back around to him as if he gets to decide to get my money without my consent or something I turned the screen back around and hit no tip! I never been to a restaurant in my life where someone tried me like this besides a hibachi place where they automatically charged gratuity and I didn't know. I don't care about how many people follow this restaurant on tictoc,Facebook or Instagram with practices like this you will definitely lose customers. read more
This place has the best the best Birria in Georgia. I absolutely love coming here, personally I try to go for lunch because I heard they are usually super busy at dinner. This place is great to eat in person or to take to go, as everything is ordered at the counter. I have tried many things here, including the ramen, taquitos, Birria quesadillas, and many other items. Having moved to the area from San Diego, and being so close to Mexico, this place is one of the best places to go if you want actually good tacos. It will forever be my favorite. read more

This is my first time coming to this location since it's changed to Rey taco. El Indio used to be the name of this place. When arriving I was thinking maybe they had the same menu but a different name but it was completely different. I actually preferred it when it was El Indio. We ordered the Birria quesadillas, consume is a separate charge. We asked for no cilantro but when we got home there was cilantro on it, so I didn't enjoy it as much as I could have. I would give them another try if I was on that side of town. Over all good, great customer service, and the restaurant was clean! read more

We've been enjoying El Indio's delicious meals for quite a while now (close to 2 yrs) and we leave smiling EVERY time. The lengua tacos are still hands down our favorite item; we never go without ordering at least one for each of us. The service is great and the people are always smiling and laughing. The "toppings" bar has an excellent assortment of all the fresh salsas, veggies, and spicy accoutrements you may want to add. Although you really don't need any of it because the food tastes amazing just as it is. read more
My phone must have heard me and the wife talking about our weekend trip to Atlanta cause Rey Taco popped up on my feed. We instantly knew we had to check it out. We drove about 30 minutes from where we were staying to give it a try and honestly, it was a 13 out of 10. Our son got a kids quesadilla that also came with rice and beans. A ton of food which was not expected for a kids meal. My wife and I both got Birria tacos with ramen consome and a side of street corn. Everything was fantastic. Birria was crispy and delicious and the cheesy ramen was an absolute game changer. The street corn was delicious. Simple but traditional flavors. I need a Rey taco in Tampa cause we're going to be having withdraws. 13 out of 10. Would recommend. read more
