Outside patio at night.

Tonight, we brought the dogs with us and sat on the patio. It's cold. They do NOT have heaters out there. Don't try it. My mistake. My sister was all about those Birria Tacos. She DEVOURED them! She did say they had a little spiciness to them, but she said that it was good that way. The queso was good and we both added some to our respective tacos as we ate as well. I specifically asked them to bring out our food in To-Go boxes because I wasn't % certain my sister would want to stay and eat. It's the first time we took the dogs out with us and they were chill. People stopped at the curb to do their order-pick-ups and the dogs just looked at them as they walked past. No one was bothered. When the waitress brought out our food (within 5 minutes), she said hello to the pups . It was cold out there, but the food remained hot enough- even the queso remained hot long enough. Carnitas Taco: tender, juicy, sweet (as if the meat were marinated with some kind of fruit - pineapple/mango), and delicious! I tried a bite with each sauce and my favorite combination was the creamy Avocado sauce. Asada Taco: tender, meaty, a little smoky, and yummy! My favorite combination with this one is the hot (chili pepper) sauce. It added a slightly fruity, hot, and spicy kick to the taco. Barbacoa Taco: still fantastic! I still can't decide which sauce is best with this one. I tried it all three ways and just kept alternating. Yum-yum-yum in my tum-tum-tum! Seriously, the meat is so moist and tender and full of flavor! Delicious! I almost forgot I also got a... Pollo Taco: tender, fresh, well-balanced, and great with all the sauces! This one's an all-rounder! If you like a packed taco, grab this one because it has it all! Lettuce, tomato, onion, and a wedge of lime for that extra citrusy punch ! I went ahead and ordered some extra Birria Tacos for tomorrow. Since they just need to be pan-fried to re-heat...easy-peasy! I highly recommend Frida's Taqueria! Go check them out!

They just opened this place up and I'm really disappointed with the outcome. It's surprising to me looking at their Instagram that they seem to be popular and modern, but the result is none other than any Americanized Mexican food place that serves mediocre food. Their system off the bat just does not work. They have you wait in one line to order your food where a menu is far from you if there's a line and there's no smaller menus provided so while you wait in line, you can look at what you want. Once you order your food there you have to go to ANOTHER line to wait for your turn at the window so the cooks can prep the food for you. When I went in, I waited 25 to 30 minutes just to get to the front of the order line and another 45 minutes just to get to the cook to get my food prepped You would think that after waiting so long, they have a sufficient amount of meat, toppings, and tortillas ready to go so you don't have to wait for long but they didn't. I had to wait 10 minutes just for them to cook up some more meat to finish my order. I also had some sides of rice and beans that the cashier didn't tell me that I wasn't going to get it at that cook window. I had to ask one of the girls walking around that I'm waiting for those sides. To my surprise, they said that they ran out of rice and beans. The girl then when into the kitchen to try and muster whatever rice and beans they could because I had ordered it prior to the knowledge. At that point, my daughter had been waiting with me for about an hour and a half and she needed to use the restroom so I had to leave the bag of food in my drink drinks with an employee while I took my toddler daughter to the bathroom. When I came back, I see that they only gave me one rice and one beans when I ordered two rice. I just left at that point because my daughter and I had been waiting in line for over an hour and a half standing. All that just to come home and to try the food for it to be super bland, not full of flavor and overpriced. $73 i paid for this food and even a street vendor is better than this. I understand that this establishment has just opened recently, but everything even from the set up and little anchor holes in the drywall & paint that is not finished & paint that already look faded out, etc. showed me that they were not ready to open up. If you're going to open up a place where you'd have to spend about $100 just for one meal for a family of four, then the quality of the food MUST satisfy, the ordering system must be smooth and effective. If you like your tacos, doused in guacamole with no flavor come here because that's all I tasted in my burrito and in my tacos The quesadilla that I bought was bland and cold . Your cooks need to be faster so that way people are not spending their lunches and over an hour and a half waiting for food standing up. Do better. My opinion go south fresno, more authentic, better quality. Unless ur too scared to go down their bc of your "safety" or its "ghetto"

What a great find! We were in the area and used our trusty Yelp to find a place to eat. Really anything with Frida in the name has some appeal to me. :) But the food was awesome and they also serve Mexican colas too. We tried the empanadas, sopes, torta sandwich with asada meat, elote which is a Mexican street corn. It's great there are small items so you can get an assortment to taste with a family. All was delicious. I look forward to going back when I'm in the area.

Rice had good flavor..:)

The Birria tacos were amazing, the sauce had a kicked to it too, very tasty. We got birria tacos, side beans& side rice. We ordered our food from Uber eats and delivery was smooth. Ordered my Grand-baby the kids chicken quesadilla, nice size & delicious as well I will be trying more items. : )

Elote (Mexican street corn), looks good but the flavor wasn't there for me

So I went back this past weekend and ordered some more birria tacos . This time I added a grilled shrimp taco and their salsa and chips. The shrimp taco was pretty good and the birria tacos were just as good as the first time. The salsa....chileeee it's a no for me. They make it in house so I was excited to try it but it looked like tomato bisque and didn't not taste like salsa. I can't even describe the flavor it just wasn't good Unfortunately that $2.99 was wasted. The chips were nice and crispy though! I'll be back for the tacos! Those are

PHENOMENAL. WOW. I don't even have words! This was my first time here and I am amazed!!! Quick, staff was great, food was even better. Definitely will be back!

Choriqueso is good. Hot sauces are phenomenal. Beers hit the spot, but the modelo was supposed to be negra, not especial.

Frida's is great. Awesome food, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Food comes out pretty quickly. Staff does a good job, and two people came out to bring food on multiple occasions, which was efficient. Well-deserving of a spot at the top of my review are the two bottles of hot sauce that Frida's serves. Whoa! The red one has an amazing, deep smoky chipotle flavor and some medium, subtle heat. The green one is incredibly fresh and bright. You'll want to order something served with chips (Frida's does not provide them complimentary) so you can slather them in these sauces before your entrees arrive. We came in for brunch this past weekend and had: -choriqueso (Good, not overly flavorful, enough for 2 people with a few chips left over.) -3 birria tacos (Everybody raves about these, and they were good. The tortillas are dipped in the meat fat/juice and then lightly fried, and they're served with a side of juice.) -1 pastor taco (We ordered this so we would each have 2 tacos, and wow, the pastor stole the show. It's got great spices but no heat, and has little chunks of pineapple that are a nice touch to really bring in the sweet flavor we all crave...next time we're getting 4 of these) -1 side order of rice (it's white rice) -1 side order of beans (they're black beans) We were bummed that the birria tacos didn't come with rice and beans, but we ordered a side of each, which worked because there was plenty on each plate (it was about $5 for the rice and beans). There are some dishes that do come with rice and beans. Overall, the meal with the two drinks was about $36 after tax. To drink, I had a Victoria, which was amazing as usual, and my wife had a Modelo. On the menu, it said Modelo Negra, but when it arrived it was actually an especial. Still a good brew, but my wife may have ordered something else had she known it would be the lighter version. Overall, great spot, we'll for sure be back. If 3 stars is average, Frida's gains a star for serving birria tacos, the awesome pastor, and the phenomenal hot sauces. Would be five stars if one or both of the following applied: free table chips and salsa or a more affordable option for a side of rice and beans.

Me and my friend really…read moredidn't like the soft served margaritas they tasted terrible and we keep trying them at different restaurants and the. server let us know that's how theirs taste. It was terrible, I don't not recommend the soft serve but the regular margaritas are so good and strong and the food is delicious. They also have really good deals on different days. Me and my friends are going to run it back and see how are next experience will be without the soft serve margaritas and hopefully catch them on the day they are not training anyone because it did take our server a minute to come back and check up on us or give us items needed but still the experience was great it was just that one drink !

Dropped in here Christmas Eve to get a quick bite before heading to my sister's place. This place…read morehas been here for awhile (late 90s) and originally was a Mexican Place, then a Joe's Crab Shack and now a Mexican place again. I was just happy they were open. I walked in ahead of 2 guys and sat at the bar. The 2 guys behind me got served first. I waited for a bit before I even got service and I think the hostess ended up getting my food and drink order. I was super thankful she stepped in to help. I ordered wings and a coronarita. The coronarita tasted off, and I'm positive it was whatever mix they used. Almost a slight chemical taste. My wings were underdone, although presentation was nice on them. Flavor on them was decent, though. I typically don't give bad reviews and being short staffed on Christmas Eve is understandable... however, y'all need to look into whatever you're putting in that Rita mix and address cook times for wings. Unsure if I'll be coming back here again since there are a plethora of Mexican places nearby.
