a plate of food on a table

Hate to do this, because the food was good....but the customer service is terrible. We purchased a restaurant.com certificate for this place a few months ago, we tried to use it today and they refused to honor it. She just told us they didn't accept it anymore. For those that don't know, you actually have to purchase these restaurant.com certificates and then you get a dollar amount off a minimum purchase. We paid money for it, met all the terms and conditions, spent well over the minimum dollar amount and they refused to honor it. Really bad business practice here. We won't be back.

Stopped in for a quick bite after golf and the tacos were great in flavor and size. I had a chicken and steak supreme and was very happy. Service was also friendly and quick. Will definitely be back! Can't beat this for $7..

another reviewer said she hated giving lower rating due to service, same here. my brother and his wife are regulars here. everything we ordered were tasty and portions huge, so great value for families. But service, man was it slowwwww. Long wait to be seated because open tables weren't cleaned. Everything takes longer than expected. Forget about waitresses coming by to check on you while dining. If you don't mind the service, go for it. If you're type that expects decent service when dining out, think twice. But like I said, good food at reasoble proces.

8 Tacos | Pollo | Asada | Pastor | Carnitas 3 Saaaauces Rice | Beans Large Horchata $17 Total GREAT TACOS! Tacos come with radish, grilled onions, cilantro and don't forget the SAAAAUCE! Coming from California, tacos are a way of life and I've found another little gem that reminds me of home. I first walked in and was very skeptical, the place was empty on a Thursday around 2pm. I scroll to the last page of the menu where I saw that tacos were 1.75 so I decided to splurge. 2 of the top four critical protein must haves, steak, chicken and two types of pork. The young lady on the register was pleasant and easy going, even offered me chips during my 8 minute wait for my food. (Time foreshadow approaching.) During that 8 minutes, the small restaurant filled quickly with families and work crews. I don't care whose dining here, I'll sit next to the boogey man just to indulge in these tacos again. I would consider these to be street tacos, two corn tortillas hugging a fist full of meat. 3-4 bites of divine taco experiences. Fairly priced for the quality and flavor that you get. Best deal compared to the Buckhead | Alpharetta places I frequent.

I love Mi Taco! I've been coming to this spot for so many years and I have never been disappointed a single time! The staff is sweet and friendly and will remember your order after a certain amount of visits! The moment you walk in you're greeted with a warm welcome and they will bring you some of the best chips and salsa ever. For an entree I usually get the fajitas mixtas, which is a mix of steak, chicken and shrimp! It's delicious and comes with a side of rice and beans as well as some tortillas. It's a favorite of mine, but they have a variety of options on their terrific menu. I highly recommend this place and I hope it becomes a favorite to you guys as it is to me!

You can find this location of Mi Taco at 3201 Tucker Norcross Rd, GA 30084 right where Pleasantdale Rd turns into Tucker Norcross Rd, and just before it in turn changes into Chamblee-Tucker Rd (confusing, right?). It's near the eastern end of a shopping center anchored by a Walmart Marketplace (sort of the standalone grocery part of a Super Walmart). Parking is in the fairly large lot out front behind a freestanding Bojangles near the corner of Tucker Norcross and Britt Roads. I've eaten at Mi Taco a few times due to the proximity to my neighborhood (Northcrest occupies the area across the street and just south and west of the restaurant's location). Mi Taco pretty much exemplifies the idea of hole-in-the-wall, perhaps not literally but figuratively. This is a small traditional Mexican restaurant that provides excellent corn-tortilla tacos and dishes you may not be familiar with if you've only been exposed to Tex-Mex. This is the real-deal as evinced by all the Latino families you'll see upon entering. Lucky for us the menu is in English and there are photos for reference - also the staff seems to be fairly tolerant of us gringos and helpful in directing us to good meal choices. When you enter you'll want to walk back to the counter to view the menu, make your selections and pay. From what I recall, at one time you could sit and someone would wait on your table but now they've gone to more of a fast-casual approach. When your items are ready they will be delivered to the table. The menu is fairly large with your typical: Appetizers, Tortas (sandwiches), Fajita Nachos, Fajitas, Huaraches (a bit like an oblong tostada), Quesadillas, Burritos, Mariscos (seafood), Especialidades (special plates), Tacos/Gorditas/Sopes, Postres (desserts), Bebidas and Cerveza (both Mexicana and Americana). There's also a kid's menu. I've had several of the items and there are some real gems here for value, quantity and flavor. The Nachos here are particularly good, plentiful and super cheap during lunch. - Chips and Salsa - these are very authentic fried corn chips and a salsa that is a bit more Latino than what you'll find in a Tex-Mex restaurant. I spice it up a bit with some Chile Habanero El Yucateco which you'll find on the table. I also like the Cholula Chipotle hot sauce. - Queso Fundido con Chorizo - melted Chihuahua cheese with chorizo on top with corn or flour tortillas - this cheese dip with sausage is pretty awesome - Huevos Rancheros - Your basic eggs served with beans and rice. You cannot go wrong with this dish, especially at $6.99. - Carne Asada Quesadilla - your basic steak quesadilla served with rice and beans - excellent. The seafood here is surprisingly good - especially the soups like the Caldo de Mariscos or Caldo de Camarones. I also like the Coctel de Camaron and just the plain fish tacos. - Camarones Chipotle - 18 shrimp slathered in a homemade chipotle sauce with grilled onions, bell peppers and tomatoes. Served with rice and beans. This wasn't quite what I was expecting as the sauce was a bit ketchupy. Interesting to throw into the mix for a change and super affordable at $11.50 - El Molcajete - combo of chicken breask, arrachera steak, sausage, shrimp, cactus and queso chargrilled together. This comes on a fajita plate instead of the traditional pot but is still delicious. Comes with rice, beans and tortillas and can feed two - probably the most expensive thing on the menu at $13.99 but super cheap if split between two people. The service here is always very good though you may need to flag someone down for a water refill. Love this place.

    pollo burrito

Mi Taco is in the Walmart shopping center I'm Tucker. I recently started coming here for my Mexican food needs when I have a craving and I haven't been disappointed yet. I've tried the chicken burrito that comes with rice and beans. No complaints. This dish is more than filling and I never finish it. The shredded chicken is flavored very well and the ingredients go perfectly inside the tortilla. Some time I ask for queso on top (if I don't order a small cup - without jalapeño- on the side). Their queso is regular. Tastes like any other queso I've had. I absolutely love cheese so I get queso whenever I get Mexican food. If you do come here and don't like your queso spicy, make sure to let them know you don't want the peppers in your cheese dip because some time they'll ask and some time they won't.. and if they don't.. your mouth will be on fire!! They also have this cheese dip with shrimp, chicken and steak that is to die for and filling alone. It comes with tortillas and you don't need to order anything else because the meat is plentiful. I love this restaurant.. it's a small hole in the wall, but their food is authentic, fresh and always more than enough!

    Fajita Quesidilla - Steak
    Scott Z.

Went with a co-worker to MI Taco for lunch. I got the Steak Fajitas Quesidilla and he got the Chili Releno. Both were very good. The service was adequate and the server friendly. The prices are competitive with similar establishments but the portion sizes seem larger. Very solid local mexican restaurant. I would go back.

Blending Mexican, regional American, and other Latino cultures as early as the 70s, many of the metro restaurants are some of the first Mexican restaurants to open in their respective ATL bubbles. All restaurants are known for their fajitas, margaritas, and use of fresh ingredients. Over the decades, I have regularly frequented the Tucker location (close to Northlake Mall). It is one of my go-to spots for celebrating, reconnecting, venting, and exhaling. I've laughed, argued, and cried sitting in one of the back right booths. Service is on par for a casual restaurant. If you drink, plan on spending a couple of hours. Their margaritas, sangrias, and sangritas are not for the once-in-a-blue-moon drinker. Over the years, I've developed a sensitivity to triple sec that keeps me from drinking non-craft margaritas. Fortunately, there are other tasty beverages on the menu (i.e., paloma). Monterrey has lunch specials that carry into the weekend. My go-to order is the fajitas. I also enjoy their enchiladas, chicken tacos, and chimichangas. I can eat 2 bowls of chips by myself with their amazing salsa and queso dips (I love mine with jalapeños and chorizo, but my order depends on who I am with).
