Well my hot wings adventure has come to an end because my doctor told me my cholesterol has gone up since I have been visiting here in Georgia. I was trying lemon pepper flavor at each restaurant until the girl here told me that lemon pepper basically comes out of a Shaker can. So I started evaluating just the chicken itself. I ordered plain wings here with the buffalo sauce on the side. Good wings it seem like they were fresh not frozen . Most places you can tell they were already pre-cooked because they take 5 minutes to get to you after you order them. A1 wings is usually our second choice since it's a little further down from Atlanta's best wings. Location: In a shopping center next door to Pizza Hut on 78E so you can't miss it. Parking is good as well. They offer pickup and delivery options just FYI. Service: Store and service looks up to par for a wing shop. Nothing spectacular but it was clean and cool. The cashiers are always nice And Smile at you. Food: yuck. The whole reason for the 1 star. The wings smelled like dogs and urine. I couldn't believe it. I didn't want to return them because I was afraid a new batch would present the same dilemma. I mean it was awful. I couldn't eat any of it. On Superbowl Sunday, I called in my order and was told it would be ready in 15mins as it is usually but when I arrived 15mins later, my food was not ready ..and the lobby was full of folk waiting. It took exactly 46 mins for my food to come up ..I'm using that time because that's the receipt stamped time of whe I paid. I asked the young lady about the order her suggestion was to ask for a refund or wait until it's ready,before I could say anything, the order was up. I waited all that time just to get home and discover my order was wrong. I order 1/2 Garlic Parmesan the other 1/2 Spicy Lemon Pepper .but what I got was 1/2 Garlic Parmesan with Lemon Pepper sprinkles and 1/2 mild wings. Although they show you your food before you leave, I didn't notice the mistake until I'd returned home. Just make sure what you ordered is what's in your box. My husband decided to pick up some wings here for lunch. I had already ordered from somewhere else, so I didn't get to have a full meal from here. My husband got the medium garlic pepper wings with fried rice combo. When he opened the box, my eyes were delighted! I immediately opened his plastic utensils and tasted the rice. It was perfect! It was so flavorful. It had just the right saltiness, texture, and crunch from the vegetables. I then tried the wings. Yummmm. The medium spice level, was too spicy for me, but the flavor was definitely there. Everything was so fresh. I decided to call the store. I told the man what my husband had ordered. He was listening as if I was going to say something negative about the food. Nope. Sir, you were wrong. I told him that the food was delicious. We stayed on the phone for about two minutes. He said that he hadn't tried the combination that my husband ordered, and he was going to try it, because it looked so good lol. So, the next day, I called and ordered the garlic parmesan wings with the french fries. My daughter got the lemon pepper wings with fries, and the hubby got mild blue cheese wings with fries. The garlic parmesan wings were so delicious! It was covered in parmesan and was piping hot. The lemon pepper wings were awesome. My daughter sucked them up quick. The hubby's blue cheese wings were good. He said the next time, he was going to get tgem medium (more spicy.) Of course the fries were fresh. This wing place, is a mile from where I live. I would say we get wings already 5x a month. Living in Georgia, it really is so convenient and there are SO many places. Now, me and mo frequent Jay's a lot. We're pretty close by and it's delicious. But A1 wings has Jay's beat because they do open late. Sometimes we have a late late late night hankering and just wanna get wings at 1030pm lol. A1 has their formula down, and the flavors are on point (like most places). I also like that the wings aren't skinny either. We usually place our order at home and pick it up when we get here, especially if it's close to closing time. It's usually ready in 10-15 minutes and service has always been really nice. What you need to know: Their spicy lemon pepper wings are flavored very well and a good size, the fried rice is surprisingly good and actually has great flavor, and their crinkle fries are not seasoned. Ordered using DoorDash and came across this spot which has a high rating, and great reviews on Google - despite some very bad ones on here, so I decided to give it a shot. Food: I ordered a 10-piece bone-in wings, crispy, all flats, spicy lemon pepper, with a side of shrimp fried rice, and another side of fries. First, the bad - while the (crinkle) fries were a decent size, I did have one or two out of the bunch that weren't fully cooked (but it happens), and they were on the softer side where I like mine more crispy but that's just a personal preference. The real crime here is there was absolutely 0 seasoning - not even your standard salt, that definitely wasn't a good sign, but as it turns out everything else was seasoned to perfection. Also, as a side note, the celery was useless - the fact that they put it in with the wings just destroyed them, super hot and soggy, not nearly the crunchy coolness you're looking for to accompany your meal (and only two super small pieces at that). Now onto the good - the wings. Oh the wings. Great size, amazing flavor - even though it said spicy lemon pepper, it was basically lemon pepper wet (think the JR Crickets version - which uses buffalo as the "wet", not American Deli, which just uses butter) - if you're not familiar with this term, then you better ask around, it's an Atlanta institution down here. The flavor on these wings was so damn good, each one was coated to perfection - even though the sauce was just a tad too watery, it still stuck to the wings and the lemon pepper was equally present - a great balance of flavor. Only caveat here was that I ordered "crispy" but they weren't all crispy, however I'll attribute that to the 15min drive that my DoorDash drive had to make - next time I'll just order "extra crispy" and I'm sure they'll hold up during delivery - I did appreciate the option to choose crispy or extra crispy though as most spots don't specify that in their delivery app listings. Now the fried rice was probably the best I've had at a non-Chinese-centric restaurant. Great flavor, not super oily (which is usually the case), and had a decent amount of good shrimp in it - a great surprise. Price: I paid around $23 for the meal - which I'd say is normal for a 10-piece, 2 sides, a drink, and taxes + tip (I got lucky as this was a $0 delivery fee day, but that would've only added $3) - also just FYI the shrimp fried rice was $2 extra as a side, and getting all flats was only a $.50 charge. Not bad for the quality, and something I was satisfied with paying. All in all, I'll definitely be ordering from here again, the wings were fantastic, as was the fried rice, but I'll probably be skipping the fries next time. read more

I am very particular when it comes to my wings and nowadays everyone's wings are the baby wings. Not A1! They are the only spot outside of my go to in sandy springs I will eat from. They aren't taxing on the combos, the wings are big and heavily flavored, and you have so many flavors and combinations to choose from. I have ordered from here at least 5 times since they opened and they never disappoint :) I usually order the wing combo meal with vegetable fried rice. We order from A1 at least once a week. I typically get flats, but today I was craving boneless wings badly, so I called and placed an order for pick up. I ordered a 10 piece boneless wing with fries and ordered my husbands meal. My husband went to go pick the order up and my order was not boneless, they had bones, so my husband spoke to them and said my wife ordered boneless wings, this meal is not correct. They started to fight him and told him I did not order boneless nor did I mention boneless, when in fact I did and I know I did because of how badly I was craving them. I worked in multiple fast food places growing up and I was always taught, customer is ALWAYS right. They than proceeded to Say they will not remake the order. If we wanted boneless wings, we would have to pay for them in addition to the incorrect order. My husband is not a confrontational person so he left after he asked them multiple times to remake the order. It took me to call the store multiple times, arguing and threatening to dispute the charge with my bank to have them remake my order the correct way and all of that for nothing because their boneless wings are NASTY.
