Peach Cobbler Cinnabom
D Janelle A.

My plate had plenty of flavor, but $31 is a bit much. Idk inflation sucks, I suppose. I was most disappointed in the peach cobbler cinnabom as I was expecting what was pictured on the menu and then upon opening when I get home, it's just a honey bun with 1 little slice of canned peach it seems like. I wouldn't consider that whiting portion to be "2 southern fried whiting fish" as it's just 1 filet cut in half. The greens had a nice spice to it and mac&cheese perfectly cheesy.

Chef Charles took my order and we decided on 2pc wing basket, catfish basket, whiting basket and 4pc tender basket. You can add a 6pc Shrimp to any basket for $5.99. Each basket comes with French Fries and Slaw. The service was great and the food was delicious. The ambience was moderate with people streaming in and out placing lunch orders. I'd definitely recommend this Soul Food Restaurant for lunch or dinner. It was the Fried Shrimp for me.

Just fans blowing which didn't help much. I was greeted when I walked it, which was nice. That made we will welcomed. It's a small place. It's was towards the end of the day so they were out of a few things. I decide to go with the turkey wings dressing, macaroni, and cheese. That also came with rice and a muffin. One thing I want to mention is they had an A rating on the wall. Which is great. The only thing that was tasty was the turkey wings. They were very good and tender. The mac & cheese taste scorched, I noticed some of it was burnt at the bottom. The dressing had a weird taste as well. Not my cup of tea. The only thing I enjoyed was the turkey, rice, muffin and cranberry sauce. I guess if I ever return it will be for the turkey wings.

My first visit was on December 3rd and I had the vegan meatloaf with vegan mac n cheese, cabbage, and peas/ rice ($22.99). I purchased the oxtails for my mom with mac n cheese, cabbage, and peas/ rice ($26.99). My second visit was on Feb. 5th. I ordered the vegan meatloaf plate $22.99 and the vegan fried chicken plate $16.99. Each plate came with peas/ rice and two sides. The vegan fried chicken is fire! It's so crispy and flavorful and the jerk sauce was perfect! Definitely get it an order. Vegan meatloaf brings on childhood memories, and it's such a wholesome flavorful meal. Side are good but I prefer a little spice in my food so it's a little bland for my taste but they are good. It's a family business and service is 5 stars! Very friendly, warm welcome and you can tell they enjoy serving and cooking for the community. Also, the portions are very large. Each plate is enough for 2 days or enough for 2 people. Definitely a must and I will be back.

Very nice, the owner I believe, she sparked up a conversation with me and was not stingy with the food. She packed the plate up. I will continue to support this place off the service alone. Rarely do Jamaican restaurants and good customer service go together. Here, that's not the case. Located in the Texaco parking lot.
