First time to this Jamaican restaurant here in the Atlanta metro area. The ambiance was wonderful and semi romantic and worth the trip to have that experience of authentic Jamaican cuisine. The food was delicious and plenty. I had to take the rest of my portion home as the servings were more than I had expected. Our hostess was very pleasant and our server "AJ" had a meal suggestions and his description fits the dishes to a tee. I will add that the bread that was served was to die for. It was one of the most tasteful and butter moist I have ever tasted. Or server kept it coming as my group requested more. The jerk egg rolls were something different but also delicious with the sweet and sour sauce. Overall this was a great dining experience and I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are ever in the Atlanta metro area. Dropped in for evening dinner with friends. The ambiance was nice. They had a Dj playing a mix of everything . The music was a little loud but the selection was on point. The waitress was attentive. The star for the night was the cauliflower and the rum punch. The cauliflower was crispy seasoned and coated with a sauce. The rum punch was delicious and strong. The red snapper was good I ordered the small size which was a mistake I would get the large the next time. There is a $5 difference between the 2 so it makes sense to get the large. Whenever I'm in Atlanta, my sister always takes me here, maybe because she knows I'm a vegetarian and knows that they have one or two meals here that I would like. One of those meals is fried tofu sweet & sour. The sweet and sour sauce complements and adds flavor to the tofu. The meal comes with plantains, carrots, broccoli, peas, and rice. The tofu with the sauce is star though. I haven't tried anything else there, but this is the one I always get. I did have the tofu on the grill one time; other than that, I'm not too impressed with the drinks. The dish was incredibly oily and had more of a sweet flavor. Yelp photos showed this dish with shrimp, so I asked for that. I was told they would come on the side. When I received the bill, I noticed "on the side" meant a separate charge of $10 for 5 grilled shrimp. I feel the server could have specified this when I asked about the dish. If I didn't really enjoy the vibe and music, I might have been a lot more annoyed than I was. The Egg Rolls were delicious. Hot, crisp and flavorful. They were filled with chicken and served with a spicy jerk dipping sauce. Yum. For my meal, I got the snapper. It came out hot and perfectly tangy from the escovitch sauce and veggies it was topped with. It was really, really good. So good that I ate the whole fish. My hubby had the island pasta, and while tasty, I preferred my dish. Overall, would I go back, yes, because I really liked the food and the vibe. I had a disappointing experience here. I came in hoping to be served by my friend, who works at the restaurant. When I asked the manager Dejah, the response I got felt unprofessional and dismissive. The portions were large and the ambiance was beautiful and the service was great. We went on a Saturday afternoon and only waited 10 minutes to be seated inside with a party of 8. I really loved this place! The food was great, the service was fantastic, all the employees were so nice and they were even willing to make the signature pasta a vegetarian dish. There was plenty of parking outside and there was not a wait for anything from being seated to waiting for the food on a Saturday night on Halloween weekend. Just an FYI there is a automatically added 20% gratuity fee for parties that are 4 and greater. We started off the meals with complimentary bread, which they were pretty generous with if you want more than one piece of bread. I got to try all the dishes that were ordered at my table and I loved everything. The curried goat was amazing! The oxtail was great too but maybe not something to try in front of someone you're not comfortable eating in front of because there's a lot of bones. The goat was still honey but not nearly as bony as the oxtail. The jerk chicken was great too and you can ask for red meat and white meat pieces mixed, just completely white meat, or completely red meat which is cool. The signature pasta was delicious, but personally too oily for me, although I would still try it with the meats. For drinks we got the mango margarita and the bob Marley which were both really good! The bob Marley definitely had a strong taste of liquor if you are into that and the mango margarita was pretty good too but less of a strong taste of alcohol. We sat inside but the outside seemed comfortable as well with the heaters. The music was kind of loud inside but not unbearable.
