Omg, this was such an incredible meal. The food was absolutely delicious! Everything was an 11/10! You definitely have to use the salt, pepper, and lime either way the shaking beef, it takes it to a whole new level. The service was outstanding! Very helpful and friendly. I need to start coming here more often!
I have been here 3 times and never had a complaint. This is a Michelin Guide restaurant and I want to try all the items. So far I have had the pho twice, the rice cubes, and the shaking beef. Everything tasted great. Big parking lot for free parking. It is amazing how similar my visits have been. Staff was not as attentive as I would have like. My table had everything I needed so my meal was not interrupted. Getting my bill took longer than expected. I think the servers do not want to interrupt your meal but I wish they would come by more often. This place looks a little rough on the outside but it is extremely clean and some what fancy on the inside. The combination Pho has all the different types of meat. I remember the meatballs, flank steak, and tripe. Next time I will get something simpler.
I like Nam Phuong. I don't dislike this place...but I don't get the hype. I've eaten here several times and have covered the spread in terms of what they have to offer. I think their dishes although prepared authentically are underwhelming in terms of the depths in flavor and really the soul of Vietnamese food. I'm not an expert but I've eaten my fair share of Vietnamese food for a standard issue white girl. The pork patty was dry and likely made at the beginning of the week and just reheated as the week went on. It was pretty bland and had this rubbery overly bouncy consistency and literally snapped when I bit into it. It basically got lost amongst all the fresh herbs too. As you can tell from the photo the Bánh bột chiên was burnt and it ended up being burnt on both sides. The squares were cut too thick...and because they were cut too thick they were on the mushy side even after being overly pan fried. All of the veg was fresh and well cleaned, the rice noodles were not overly sticky and clumped together. The pickled carrot/daikon were tasty. The server I had was attentive and polite. The interior was as to be expected and I couldn't care less that it's a little rough around the edges. If the tile isn't cracked, if the booth's vinyl isn't taped up, the utensils aren't mismatched and the tables aren't wobbly then I don't trust the place!! Like I said-I don't dislike it here. I just don't see the hype. Then again I feel like I have to piece together my favorite dishes from several spots between Doraville/Chamblee and Duluth, so maybe it's because I haven't found one place that checks all the boxes and I can get all my favs from one place. I will come again...because I love Bánh hỏi.
Nam Phuong is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in all of Atlanta. You just can not find better. The food is always delicious and the service is friendly and fast. Your food will come fast and hot. My favorite to get is the family dinner for 4. As for the soup, get the shrimp: my opinion it's better than the fist. The shaking beef, catfish casserole are solid choices. The chicken wings are fabulous, the sweet and tangy sauce is perfect. I was in Atlanta for 3 days and ate here 2 times. Just can get enough of the food here, simply the best.
Absolutely delicious! I had family in town for work so we wanted to find something close to his hotel and this place came highly recommended. We decided on spring rolls, shaking beef, and vermicelli noodles. The spring rolls were so fresh with just the perfect amount of herbs to really bring out the flavors. The shaking beef was a recommendation from our server and it did not disappoint. The vermicelli noodles were really good, but we didn't realize it was a cold dish. Watching everyone around us getting pho gave us a bit of fomo, but decided we'll have to come back for it another time. Service is so great. The food comes out quick, everyone is so friendly, the restaurant has such a warm atmosphere and all the guests were visibly enjoying as well. If you're in the area and looking for pho, go give this place a try!
First time at a Michelin restaurant! Food was good but not great. Big servings. Very casual atmosphere. Parking lot is a little small. Service was great!
We came here for some delicious food la on our tour along Beaufort Highway. This was stop number one. I got some spring rolls, rice cubes, crepes and some noodles. Everything we got was fantastic. I never knew places like this could be affiliated with Michelin star, but they were! I'd love to go back to try the Pho!
I love Nam Phuong...but I tried something new that was just okay. I had the bahn xao and was not that impressed. Happier with the make your own spring roles, shaking beef, and pho. Service was good. I'll go back to my good ol' standard dishes next visit!
I've been here a couple of times and always get the chicken pho (which is sooo good); but today I decided to try their vermicelli noodles and I'm so glad I did! I got the BBQ pork and it was delicious, the meet was well seasoned, the portion works great and the whole dish was pretty good. Even when the place was busy, our food came in time. The staff here is always very welcoming and they answer questions about the menu. The restaurant is comfortable, casual and relaxed. If you're in Buford Highway, visit this place for lunch
Came by on a Saturday around 11 and there was no wait. Service is attentive and quick. We ordered the special pho and special vermicelli. The food was fine but we both thought they were too salty - the soup for the pho and the meat toppings with my noodles. After adding fish sauce it helped the noodles be less dry but there wasn't much additional flavor. It could be that they are catering more towards western palates with their Michelin Guide distinction.
First time getting Vietnamese food and it was great. Had the bot chien and the pho with moist brisket. The bot chien was unlike anything I've had before. It is fried rice patty that is cute into cubes. The texture reminded me of fish, very soft gelatinous inside with a fried crunchy outside. The pho was wonderful, very light broth and the brisket was tender. They give you plenty of cilantro, lime, bean sprouts along with some nice sauces to add, like some chili sauce. Service was a little slow along with getting one of our dishes served first for our party of two and the other coming out 5 minutes later. They are very busy so it is understandable that they lose track with everything going on. I would love to come back and try many other things as the menu is full of delicious looking options.
I'm surprised that it took me so long to try this place - it is so good! We came in for dinner and we were promptly seated. A server got us chilled water and handed us menus. Now, the menu is exhaustive - there are SO MANY options. We, eventually, got the summer rolls, shrimp in curry and coconut milk and chicken fried rice. The main courses are generous! The shrimp was so good - that curry tasted delicious. 10/10 recommend.
Some of the best Vietnamese I've ever had (and I used to live in Asia)! Big big fan of the combo options - my vermicelli bowl came with an egg roll, some chicken, a couple shrimp, and sausage. All were delicious. Super filling, big portions. It seems like it's usually pretty busy, but there are plenty of tables and service is speedy. Def recommend and will be back to try more.

loved it! came here on a late saturday morning and we tried the bun bo hue, bun rieu, and iced vietnamese coffee. they did ask if i wanted the pork hocks and pork blood when i ordered the bun bo hue. i thought that was an attentive touch, for those who might not want such an "authentic" touch. for me tho, i wanted everything! the bun bo hue had a great broth, rice noodles were perfectly cooked, and all the toppings were great! i also tried my friend's bun rieu and it was good too! and of course, the iced vietnamese coffee was a great accompaniment to wash down our meals. would love to return when i'm in ATL again! read more

Yeah, so parking here is kind of difficult, and there aren't that many spaces, esp when it's lunch time and it gets busy. Can't say the interior is that much better either, though it does remind me of Vietnam and family gatherings. Service is slow, and some things take longer to come out than others. If you care about starting your meal at the same time, I would recommend ordering things to share since it can take 15 minutes between the first dish and last to come out. The food here is good! I don't typically get Vietnamese because I eat enough of it at home, but there's a good variety here where it's worth coming for. What my family, and my cousin in particular, really like from here is the bò lúc lắc or shaking beef. The spring rolls that you make yourself is also quite nice. read more

Normally, I love Nam Phuong as I go to for a nice bowl of pho. On this visit, I noticed they had new bowls that were very shallow and a lot less content. Very little noodles and meat to match. I can understand the price increase over the years to keep cost constant, but now with these new bowls I feel like a victim of shrink inflation. Not sure if I'll be back. I am truly sad. read more
My favorite place to stop whenever I'm in town! Nam Phuong is a classic Vietnamese place that has amazing food. Food: My all time favorite is the Salt & Pepper fried seafood. It's not too hard nor too salty. My mom got the 4.3 - Bo nuong la lot banh hoi. I recommend the whole menu haha. Service: Service was OK. I understand that they were busy. Atmosphere: Lucky enough, there wasn't much people when we went which was right when they open. However, they are typically very busy. When we left, there was a lot of people waiting. They do try to get you in as fast as possible though! The most we've waited would be 30 min. 9/10! Great food. My mom is a picky eater but she loves Nam Phuong, so that says a lot hahaha. read more
4.5 overall, very nice restaurant compared to other Vietnamese restaurants with solid pho, but I think it is their other dishes that make them stand out! We ordered the build your own pho, shaken beef, and pork and shrimp spring rolls. The spring rolls came first and were very fresh, I really enjoyed these. The pho itself was good but not much better compared to other pho I've had, the broth was decently flavorful and there was a generous portion of rice noodles. If anything, the noodle texture stood out as they remained chewy for a while before getting soggy, which was pleasant. The shaken beef however really stood out! The wok sear on the beef gave it a nice flavor, and surprisingly the fried rice it came with was light but also had an addictive flavor. I really enjoyed this dish! The interior is very spacious and much nicer compared to other Vietnamese restaurants, and the service was good. Overall solid food with their other dishes, like the shaken beef, that really stand out!!! read more

My family and I come here whenever we're craving Vietnamese food! It's a standalone restaurant with a large interior and plenty of seating, so we've never had trouble finding a table. Service is prompt and attentive. The menu is huge, and has a lot of specialty items you may not find elsewhere. Most recently, I ordered their Bo Bun Hue -- it was a large portion, flavorful, the right level of spice, and full of delicious meats. Great for a cold day! It also comes with shredded cabbage, lime, and jalapenos for you to add if you'd like. The three of us also split a Vietnamese coffee to share. The coffee comes with condensed milk, which makes it taste like candy (in the best way). It's so delicious, but very caffeinated, and none of us have the caffeine tolerance for a full serving. Can't wait to be back! read more
Nam Phuong is so good!I love how close it is to my place and is perfect for a quick pick up or a casual dine in. The only thing that sucks is the parking. It's an absolute disaster to park there and the first time we went, we actually couldn't find a spot so we went home lol. Thankfully we lucked into a spot the second time so we were able to go in and eat. I had the shaking beef for my entree while my fiance got the pho. We also had the spring rolls for an app. All three things were delicious!!! I think the shaking beef is the best I've had in Atlanta!! Overall dining in was a little bit chaotic so I'll probably stick to ordering to go, but the food can't be beat! read more
I was visiting Atlanta and my friend mentioned this place was on the Michelin guide for their pho! I came on a rainy Thursday night with my friend after flying into Atlanta. The ambiance is more elevated and upscale with the red tablecloths and wooden chairs compared to a more casual vibe. There is some parking in the lot but it is limited. I ordered the pho with the combination meats. The other pho option was to choose 3 meats from the menu. I also ordered the eggplant sautéed with garlic. The food came out fairly quickly. I was a little bit disappointed when the pho came out as the soup was lukewarm. The broth is a clear and light broth that was flavorful and was comforting on a rainy night. They give you a large amount of noodles but not that much meat in my option compared to other restaurants in California I've visited and it was on the pricier side for $16. When the eggplant dish came out I realized I forgot to order rice but luckily the server brought rice and it came with the dish. The sauce for the eggplant dish was a thick brown sauce and there were large garlic pieces. I didn't taste too much garlic flavor and not sure what kind of sauce it was. Both dishes were a large portion though and I took leftovers for home. The service was good at the beginning when we ordered and the food came out fast but no one checked on us until maybe an hour later and we were just sitting and chatting for longer and no one brought the check. We ended up having to flag down someone to bring us the check and for to go boxes. Overall, the pho broth had good flavor but it was disappointing for a Michelin guide restaurant to have lukewarm broth. I would skip the sautéed eggplant garlic dish next time. Service could also use improvement. read more

This was the best pho I've ever had! The service was quick and the servers were attentive. I was able to add shrimp into my beef pho with no problem. I e also order shrimp spring rolls. The peanut sauce was great. It wasn't too busy inside and we were sat immediately. There was music playing in the background, but overall the restaurant had a chill vibe. read more
When they changed owner like last year they also changed chef because the food is so much better now. So far everything we tried has been well made. We have catered here twice already and they are very accommodating. We also loved the family style dinner that is offered. The prices are reasonable and the food is superb. We have changed from going to the NP in Buford Hwy to here because their quality has declined and their food has been consistently salty. This NP on the other hand has been much better consistently. read more

Nam Phuong is one of our favorite restaurants. Unfortunately, my most recent order for the claypot catfish is very disappointing $20 dollars for this meal is a ripoff for this amount of fish read more
The menu was very extensive. Good ban hoi which is an item we don't see too often. The food quality and the service were good. The place is a little nicer than most Vietnamese restaurants. I would eat here again. read more

Pleasant experience overall. Attentive and kind staff. Pho broth was very light in flavor but enjoyable. Only one size option available. Overall 7/10 Spring rolls had chopped lettuce which was not the most ideal. Small meat portions but suitable enough for the lower price. Large dining room with a variety of seating options. Would return and try it again! read more

My favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the area. I don't come here for the pho specifically, but the kids in our family love it. My go to items here are the NAM PHUONG BA VI and the BOT CHIEN. The staff are really friendly and attentive, which is always nice. I will always return here and will recommend it forever. read more

Vegan fish sauce?
Nam Phuong doesn’t have vegan/vegetarian options for fish sauce but they do have sweet soy sauce that pairs with crispy rice cubes, and goes really well with vegetarian dishes, especially rice vermicelli or crepe
Hi what is the charge for BYOB?
I was not charged. It is wonderful too. The group next to me had about 15 people and they said on of the reasons they fine here was the low charge byob. They had beer and wine. $3-5.
