Came in for a holiday happy hour. I left not to impressed. The restaurant is not fancy. It is very casual. The service was ok, it was a large group and I came late so it took a while for the waiter to notice me and I could get his attention for me to order something. I ordered an appetizer which was the chicken taquitos. I thought it was going to be a small plate, but it was huge. The tacquitos were not bad, it was just very generic and traditional American style Mexican food. I wasn't too crazy about this plate. I could not finish the plate and I got very full. I also ordered the tasty mango, which was a very strong drink. It brought me back to drinks they served at clubs back in the day. Lots of liquor and a splash of mix. I only had a quarter of the drink and I did not want to drink it anymore. The restaurant is not my type of restaurant. Came here for dinner on our way to the nearby Seminole Hard Rock as we were craving Mexican and there's no such offering at that casino. When we first arrived about an hour before closing, the staff were somewhat unresponsive. An alarm beeped each time someone enters and there's a sign telling patrons to see the hostess to be seated, but after waiting for a while and seeing no one, we seated ourselves at the bar. Once there, the bar server was going through all her checks from her shift and paid no attention to us or any other customers for several minutes. Luckily once she realized we were there, everything was great with the service moving forward. We were given complimentary chips, salsa and refried beans and we both ordered a margarita which, though it appears the sour mix came from the soda gun behind the bar, were really good. I ordered the carne asada y mas, while my husband ordered the plato Mexicano. As others have stated, the meals here are large, so bring your appetite. Our food was very good and came to us in an acceptable time after ordering. Staff were friendly and outgoing, and the prices more than reasonable, with each of us paying a bit more than $20 for our entree platters. Certain parts of this restaurant could maybe use a deep clean and a decor update, but overall a good meal and attentive service (after a few initial hiccups) at a reasonable price. read more

I had a Margarita but there was not much ice and he forgot to add the salt. The décor and ambiance is typical as well but nicely done. The chicken tortilla soup didn't have much in it, mostly broth. Taco Tuesday at Patron Azteca is a hidden gem in Hollywood. $6.50 for all you can eat chicken, beef or ground beef tacos + chips and salsa with the purchase of a drink. (It use to be $5 before the pandemic). I haven't gotten the ground beef but the beef and chicken are shredded and so flavorful. Also comes with bean dip that is really good as well. We usually sit at the bar and the servers are quick and tentative. As soon as your order comes you can put in an order for another round. These were good and hot with plenty of cheese and toppings (I added shredded chicken) My daughter had the fajitas. She was very pleased. Very well seasoned and also hot enough stay hot throughout the meal. The portions were huge so we had leftovers for the next day. Service was friendly and quick. This place was terrible. Overpriced below average Mexican food. Arroz Con Pollo is $18 when it is normally $11-$12 maybe $15 at a nicer place. Server was rude, after receiving our queso no one came back to check on us for 30 minutes except to run by and throw napkins on our table that we didn't ask for. Ended up being there for 2 hours and only got 1 refill which was at the very end after an empty glass for about 45-60 minutes. Best of all my chicken came out stone cold.
