This place was really hard to find in a small plaza but once you find it's a hidden gem. We had the birria and carne asada nachos and a kids grilled chicken meal with rice and beans and everything was delicious. They also give you complimentary chips which were good. The service was great and really nice. I would definitely recommend this hidden gem just the food itself was really good. Will definitely come for their weekly specials.

Love this place!!, no complaints at all. Food is always super flavorful and the restaurant serves the food fairly quickly.

What a hidden gem hidden in a strip mall facing 441. Cute decorations and we were greeted and sat immediately. Within minutes we were welcomed with a warm basket of homemade tortilla chips and salsa. Delish! We both ordered a can of Tecaté (a steal at $3.50!), a side of guacamole and three tacos each. Still thirsty I decided on a Michelada. Completely did not expect the HUGE mug that arrived. Along with a tajin rim came a candied tamarind stirrer.

From top to bottom - pork, steak, and 2 chicken tacos

We have ordered take-out from this restaurant several times. Chicken tacos are not your usual Mexican tacos as they include lettuce, cheese, and sour cream but they're delicious! The steak taco is prepared more traditionally with onion and cilantro and the pork is like a mojo pork topped with tomatoes - very good. The food is almost always good but there are some inconsistencies - sometimes hard rice (iin the burritos), sometimes chewy/overcooked or fatty pieces of pork or steak. Take-out service is fast and convenient.

Chilangos is the Taco Tuesday spot in Plantation! Came here to celebrate National Taco Day, on the most ideal day of the week to celebrate- Taco Tuesday! I haven't been here before but after a quick search on Yelp, I heard about their iconic deals so we had to come. Although they don't have $1.50 tacos anymore, the 40% off tacos all day is still a great deal. Upon walking in, it was already crowded so we opted to order to-go. After sitting at the bar area, we decided to dine-in there and they were super accommodating. After seeing them make a frozen margarita, we asked to get one while waiting and it was delicious! For our order, we got three birria tacos, two al pastor, and two carne asada, plus an elote. The food was so good, and even if it took a bit to come out, the was worth the wait. The interior is so cute and you feel like you're transported to Mexico. There's color banners all across the inside and loteria art throughout the space. An ideal spot for Taco Tuesdays!

Hidden gem! Parked in the back and walked through the back door which led to this amazing taco place. This is hands down my favorite taco place. Taco Tuesdays they give you 40% off each tacos! My top tacos to get are the quesabirria that is served with the yummy consomme soup! Ahhh it's so good I'm drooling thinking about it. Can't go wrong with their steak tacos! I love the fish taco, one bite of that is like heaven. There's so much flavoring in this juicy taco! Lastly I get the suadero, this one is so good! Every taco is so fulfilling, and the servers are always so nice! There's parking in the back of the restaurant!!

My husband and I were craving something to eat when he came across this place on Yelp. We stopped by and parked in the back. There's parking in the front but it's pretty limited so I suggest parking in the back where there's plenty of parking spots. We walked in and were greeted quickly after we sat down and given tortilla chips with salsa verde. The chips were thick with a nice crunch to them, and the salsa was delicious. I had to stop myself from eating all the chips. My husband ordered a michalada. For $9, I think it's pretty fair pricing given the amount they give you and the sheer size of the cup! Which was adorned with a tamarind straw and a lime. We both decided to get some tacos. You can order them a la carte, and honestly, that was great because I just wanted a couple. I ordered the picadillo taco and a carnitas taco. My husband ordered a chorizo, cabeza, and a lengua taco. The tacos came out after a bit and were nice and warm. The meat was seasoned perfectly and was tender while the corn tortillas complimented each bite. The tacos definitely hit the spot. I really enjoyed the carnitas. The toppings tasted fresh and didn't overwhelm the amount of meat. We enjoyed eating in here as there were a few people in here eating, but it was pleasant and quiet during lunchtime. I can imagine things get busy at night! It's definitely worth stopping by.

Chilangos is always a great choice when you are in this area. The restaurant is charming and welcoming. Very unpretentious but with great quality food. The michelada is huge and very flavorful. Orchata and agua de Jamaica are always available, and the kids love them. I always think that their tacos are the best choice when coming here but have to say that the burritos are also very good. The service is fast and friendly. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food. If you haven't been here... give them a try.

Hole in the wall but they delivered on food. When we walked in no one was there to greet us so we just grabbed an empty table and sat down. After a couple of minutes someone came out and gave us menus and took our drinks order. Chips and salsa were brought out- definitely had better and they were not fresh but still good. We ordered 6 tacos but 2 are missing in the picture. The best ones to get is carne asada, the piccadillo and the birria. Super flavorful, and while the tacos look like its a small portion it fills you up pretty quickly. The restaurant needs to do better about cleaning because while there was not many people there the floors and bathroom were dirty.

40% off tacos on Taco Tuesday as of November 2023

I found my favorite tacos spot!!! Not only because it truly feels like a hole in the wall being in a sketchy plaza, very limited parking, and ornate Mexican decor hiding how old the building really is, but because the tacos are legit the best I've ever had! Got the Quesobirria, Carne Asada, Pescado (Fish), and Lengua (my all time favorite!!) and they were all very delicious. Upon first bite of every taco, I just kept saying this will be my favorite Taco Tuesday joint because it's THAT good. So why minus a star? Welp, it may not have been as packed as I thought (perhaps because of the cold front) but it was still busy, as in every table was taken. The waitress, sweet and all, gave us the wrong drinks and was very busy. She only came to take our order and then to pick up our food. We wanted more tacos, which was quite the wait (understandably on a Taco Tuesday) but with the lack of attentiveness, we lost the appetite to order more after waiting. But that serves an important lesson... Don't buy just 4 tacos. Buy more and all in one go! Haha. I'll still come again because I'm not kidding when I said the tacos are that that good! Heck, I'd come back even without the 40% off Tacos deal on Taco Tuesday -- the menu looks yummy and authentic!

The food is very yummy with lots of options. As someone married to a Mexican I'm well versed in their cuisine and was impressed by the options they had. I wouldn't say it's the best Mexican in the area but will satisfy most taco needs I went during lunch and it was not busy and service was friendly and attentive but I have also been during busy hours such as taco Tuesday and the service could have used some work. The ambiance feels very Mexican which to me is always a plus as some Mexican spots just feel Latin but not Mexican if that makes sense? But overall good experience and will be back

    The guys!

This month our group of friends decided to go to Chilangos Mexican restaurant. It's a hole in the wall gem like there are a lot in Greece and Italy. The food is authentic and delicious, we had without a doubt the best tacos in South Florida and fajitas. The decor is like a movie set of a Mexican action thriller!!! Ambiance is relaxed. Our server Veronica, was friendly, very efficient, and professional. We all enjoyed our dinners!! It's 300 meters South of the Wawa on the 441. Not easy to find at first.

We ordered steak tacos (listed as one of the favorites), quesabirria, spicy margarita and the limonada de mango biche. The drinks were good but the food was okay. The quesabirria was better than the tacos, but the birria sauce just looked and tasted like oily water. The steak tacos are a favorite, but was unfortunately not mine. The steak was chewy and you weren't able to taste the truffle chimichurri. The tacos were also filled with oil. We gave it the benefit of the doubt and thought it may be some sort of sauce but confirmed that it was indeed oil when it started dripping out of the taco. We placed paper napkins on the tray and it absorbed the oil but there was still a lot in the tacos. I didn't notice it at first when I took the picture, but you are able to see the oil in the tacos and the tray...there was a lot! They brought the complementary chips and salsa (which some places now have the nerve to charge for), it's a tasty salsa. Ordered some "fresh made" guac (it better be!) which was made better with a few squeezes of lime juice. We decided to try the combo platters since the kitchen was new and it's a good test. My dining companion opted for shredded beef burrito and a ground beef chili relleno. I went with a ground beef tostada and shredded chicken enchilada. With the requisite beans and rice. Look, it was good food, not knock your socks off cuisine. I mean we consciously chose Mex-American so that's on us. The menu offers some other interesting options that I'd order next time. My only gripe is a dry enchilada. I like them swimming in red sauce and cheese which this was not. Otherwise, as I stated, nothing to complain about. The price point is decent for dinner in Fort Lauderdale. Btw I love a good tostada and mine was pretty darn yummy.
