Yesterday me and 5 other friends made a visit to Bien Chido to grab some food. We ordered one by one and the cashier asked the first person that ordered if it would be for here or to go and my friend responded for here and unfortunately they still made all of our food to go. We looked around and it looks like everyone else was serviced correctly but us. We sat down and ate out of our to-go boxes and continued to enjoy our time together. Two of my friends decided they wanted to order something additional while we were sitting down and eating but they proceeded to still put the food in to go boxes and wrapped up in a bag after seeing that we were clearly dining in. At the end, my friends and I took a picture together because we were meeting up from out of town and wanted to capture the moment. We made sure that no employees or guests were in the picture but we couldn't help but notice the looks that the kitchen staff and cashier were giving us as we took our group picture. All in all, we just didn't feel welcomed in the environment and left feeling a bit uncomfortable. The food was good but unfortunately there was something missing with the service. read more

Came for the Taco Tuesday special. The place seats about 14 outside and about 28 inside. Most of the chairs are stools. So if you need back support, only one table inside had chairs with backs. The rest were outside. The $7 Tuesday special includes two tacos with a choice of either pork (2 kinds), fish, or chicken, and a fountain beverage. Any other choice is an upcharge. You can choose a flour or corn tortilla. Chips came with our meal along with a smoky not-so-good-tasting salsa. The salsa verde in the bottle on the table was better. We got the carnitas and the al pastor tacos with cooked onions and cilantro. The latter was our favorite. Our bill was about $15 for 2 specials. You easily could double the order to get a heartier meal for only $14 each. For us, it was a late lunch and just right. Service was fast and friendly. read more

I'm going to go ahead and rate this place a five it is excellent quality and today for lunch was just the burrito special but I upgraded to a shrimp burrito and it ended up being very very good. If I had any criticism whatsoever, it would be the price difference between subtracting beans and adding rice that was $1.50 that seemed pretty high to me but the Wednesday nine dollar burrito special cannot be beat overall. Love this place. My husband and I are regulars as we come here about every week for tacos, tostadas, burritos and their horchata. One of the best. The service is quick and you get free chips and salsa if you dine in. It does get busy depending on the time you get there so there may not be a table for you but there's wall seating. This restaurant has good reviews, however, for me it wasn't all there. Located in a shopping plaza, but it has welcoming look. Before entering, right outside on the sidewalk they have few tables where guests can stay and eat, seating is also available inside. I placed at order while inside for the 3 taco special, which comes with a small side of rice and beans, and of course 3 tacos of your choice and optional flower or corn tortillas. I choose el pastor and 2 carne asada, with the corn tortillas. I found the tortillas were very thick, and very chewy. The meats were ok, a bit on dry side. The rice was good, the refried bean, again, dry and very heavy. The meal was served with a few sauces that had good flower, and you can see bits of the charred remains from the peppers and tomatoes through out. The special also comes with a free bottle soda, or fountain drink, I choose the classic glass bottle coke, because it is not often many places offer bottle coke. Staff were friendly. The wait time to get the food is a bit long, for only myself and one other person that was ahead of me, I waited a good 15 min before my order was ready. Interior was kept clean, and organized which I always appreciate. If I ever return, I'll definitely leave an updated review. I wish my experience as my first time here were just as great as most of the other reviews I read about this place. read more

Well, I was in the mood for Mexican food and saw this place last week and decided to try it today. Nice little taco shop with several tables in the outside patio, which was filled with customers eating. The counter employee assisted me with ordering from the inviting menu the Carne Asada (steak) soft taco for $4.50 and included a side of baked chips and salsa. Within three minutes, my taco was brought to my table with the chips. Now, for the price, this was one of the smallest tacos ive ever purchased (pic provided). I litterally opened the taco in front of the server and chuckled. Thankfully the chips and salsa were added. Aside from the issue with the size, the taco was excellent tasting - the steak, onions and cilantro were fresh and the El Yucateco chile habanero hot sauce that I added, was a perfect blend of spice and heat. Wow, finally a decent authentic Mexican spot I've tried so far. I've tried many places from Miami, Homestead, and Broward county. And this was so good. I only had a Gordita, but honestly it was the best so far. It was fresh, the masa was well seasoned, meat was delicious, had the basic toppings in a Gordita which made it even better. I could tell it was crema and not sour cream. I love the idea that they keep it og with ingredients on the tacos (cilantro and onion) and cater to the gringos (lettuce tomato and cheese) which I found hilarious. Chips and salsa to start at no charge, and the bottled salsas were so good. Spicy and tasty. I ordered a michelada with my food which was delicious as well. First, when we arrived durning a non-rush hour I would say - about 2pm - there were a lot of people eating, waiting for their orders, and a lot of to go/food delivery personnel coming in and out. Traffic is hot at this location. I usually go for the non-meat tacos so I got a fish and shrimp taco, Mexican style, on corn tortilla - ordered as individual tacos. I also got to try the hubby's birria tacos, Mexican style, on corn tortilla but no queso and comes with 3 tacos! All tacos amazing. And for price point, worth it. What I love the most, is that the tacos do not break while I am eating them! We also got the chips, salsa, and guacamole and I cannot be too sure that it comes with dine-in. I would need to check on that. They also have a freezer filled with individual Mexican helados for purchase - there's even a Mangonada flavor in there! Really great Mexican restaurant for tacos! There's a good amount of seating for groups of 4-6 with some high tops and regular tables. Their menu had a good variety and even had english translations in case you didn't know what protein was what. I ended up getting the taco combo which comes with three tacos (you can mix and match), rice, refried beans, and a bottle of Jarritos. I wish you could exchange the drink for another but ended up getting the mango Jarritos. For tacos, I got the carne asada, fish, and shrimp. Each were good but my favorite was the carne asada. The tacos come in their classic corn tortillas but you can ask to switch them out for flour tacos. I would come back if I'm in the area and possibly try their burrito next time! read more

Hello Everyone today I'd share my experience at bien chido. This is a authentic Mexican restaurant which offers Tacos Mexicano and "American style" sopes, torras and burritos . I order asada burritos which was about 6 of 10 for the following reasons: 1- beans were a bit salty 2- burrito altogether with as a bit dry 3- Meat seasoning was okay. They use the asada meat for the burritos... if you don't know the difference tacos meat is diced and burritos meat is usually shredded meat... My daughter order asada tacos and guess what they were dry. Portions was good. My wife has sopes which looked very week put together. Sopes taste good ONLY when they're made fresh. Beans and Mexican rice came in a small molcajete recipient. Overall food was a 6 of 10. Not bad. The place is small but they have outside seating which is nice if you visit at night... inside they have high tables and 1 usual high table... they don't have space if you have a big group. They have a variety sort of soft bottle drinks "jarritos" and others as well as beer choices. Nice ambiance. I also ordered a beef quesadilla which was the best thing we had. Very small portion. The meat was tender but it was very basic. I have had a lot of Latin food in my days and I just don't think this place is that good. The service was fast and friendly. The place is no frills but has cute decor. For the two orders of flautas, the quesadilla and some chips and quac I spent $50 which was a little pricey for what I think I got so I wouldn't go back. This is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant so far in Broward. I have found that South Florida is just very lacking in good Mexican food. This isn't my favorite in the world but it's my favorite here. It is genuine Mexican food, I am half Mexican with a Mexican mother so the food definitely can stand up to expectations to those who are Mexican or of Mexican decent. This is not a Chipotle or Moe's style of cuisine. It's not perfect the rice and beans are delicious but if you get side orders they are these very small cups. The house made salsa is so good! The service is great, from ordering to the food runner are all very nice. The ambiance is a very relaxed environment and the place is clean and well managed. I typically order the Fish Taco and the Braised Pork (Carnita) Tacos, Mexican/American style less the cheese on a flour tortilla at my request. There tacos come on a corn tortilla which is amazing but I prefer flour tortillas but you have to request it. The only thing I wish they would change is the fountain drink machine they need a new machine badly.
