The food at Bandoleros was so good that I had to come back the very next day just to try their Mr. Smash Burgers -- and they absolutely did not disappoint. Everything I've tried has been fresh, flavorful, and worth raving about. Their weekly specials are incredible too: $20 all-you-can-eat tacos on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, $1 wings on Wednesdays, and $9 burger combos on Thursdays. The guacamole is also a must-try -- seriously delicious. Great food, great atmosphere, and even better customer service. A friend had been to this location recently and enjoyed it. So I wanted to join him to check it out. The restaurant is nice inside. Big bar. Lots of tables. Festive sort of theming. But the restaurant was empty the entire time we were there. Either people don't know it's there, or maybe don't care. The servers were nice and told us about the menu, the specials, and events like karaoke. The menu is weird. It's some Mexican and also a smashburger, and you can order either one. We started with chips and salsa. The chips are made in house, and I think might be flour. Some were fine, some were soggy, and some were oily. It was a weird mix. The salsas were okay. Not particularly interesting. We also got some of the corn ribs - which for some reason were just halved ears of corn. They were good but that was odd. The server said something about running out of the long pieces they would normally use. My friend ordered a burger and said it was okay. The fries looked like just basic frozen fries. Nothing too special. And he said they were different from his previous visit (by the way, fries are even offered with tacos) I saw they had several different kinds of tacos, veggie, vegan, fish, shrimp. I would have liked to have tried a couple of different ones but that's not an option. You get three of the same kind. Full stop. I opted for the mango shrimp tacos and they were average. There are a lot of taco places around and this was in the middle of any I have tried. They were fine. Overall the food was just average. Maybe a little below. I love great tacos... and I cannot lie Hubby and I rolled into Bandoleros on a Friday around lunchtime-ish, and let me just say -- what a vibe. First of all, the decor? SO cute. Colorful, lively, the kind of place that makes you want to redecorate your house and host a taco party immediately. Enter Camilo: waiter, bartender, greeter, vibe curator. He walked us through the menu and house specials like a seasoned pro and made us feel like regulars within five minutes. We ordered the two-for-one giant margaritas -- emphasis on giant. These things could put a dinosaur down. But don't worry, we're professionals. Camilo confidently told us he makes the best margaritas in town, and sir... you were correct. Since it's Lent, we went with the fish tacos. The cod was perfectly battered -- light, crispy, not greasy -- topped with a fresh slaw that had just the right amount of kick. Flavorful without overpowering. Exactly what you want when you're craving tacos done right. The house-made chips and salsa were fresh, addictive, and kept magically refilling. Everything tasted thoughtful and authentic. Camilo kept checking in, joking with us, and making sure the margarita situation stayed strong. The energy was fun without being chaotic -- just the right balance. We may or may not have left slightly "festive" and wandered into Doris's afterward where we purchased things we absolutely did not need. Next time? We're Ubering. Those margaritas are no joke. Beautiful decor. Great prices. Delicious food. Stellar service. We're already planning a Saturday night happy hour return because Camilo says it's jumping -- and after today, I believe everything that man says. Go see Camilo. Tell him I sent you. Went to Bandoleros at their new Sunrise location and overall had a good experience. We ordered the corn ribs, which are always delicious and didn't disappoint. We also got the birria tacos, which were good but noticeably spicier than usual. I don't ever remember them having that much heat before -- and even my friend, who enjoys spicy food, agreed they had a definite kick this time. We chose to sit outside because the ambience is really nice and the weather was perfect, which made for a great vibe at first. Unfortunately, the table next to us was smoking and being loud and obnoxious, which took away from the experience a bit. Service was good, attentive and friendly. The drinks were a little on the light side, but still enjoyable. Overall, I'd definitely come back -- just hoping for a little more consistency with the birria and a calmer neighboring table next time. read more

10/10 one of the best spots for drinks and delicious tacos! I was so happy when I learned they were opening up this location in Sunrise. The restaurant was clean and very spacious. Our group was 10 people, and the staff accommodated us right away and set up few tables outside where we could all sit together comfortably. Ordering was easy, everyone ordered their own drinks and meals, and when it came time to pay, the process was easy. There was no confusion with who got what. First time since they opened and it was a pleasant surprise to see how they changed the space from what it was prior. Definately alot of phot ops with all the neon signs and decor. My first go-to was the house and then spicy margaritas. The taste was good but too much on the sweet side for me atleast..not sure if they were premixed or not. They had a large menu which included a variety of monitors, mules and mixed cocktails. Their food menu was the same but without the specials a bit on the price side. We did see a smash burger menu separately for all you burger lovers out there! The wings were on special the Sunday i stopped in along with the margs but honestly everyday they have something different which I liked. The wings were really crispy and we sampled a few sauces on the side and enjoyed them all. There was also an All-you-can-eat tacos on Tuesdays with tequilla shots and $5 Margs. I asked if there was any entertainment like dj's and they said the other location is opened later which includes this and they have intentions for this location in future after the official opening. Went last night for kareoke. The young man took 20 minutes to bring me water and a menu. The meal was good, but I didn't see him again until he brought me the check. - When I asked him about the 4% gratuity added to the check, he explained it was mandatory. - When I asked to speak with the manager, he informed me the manager was not on property and would not be back tonight. - When I told him the mandatory 4% must come off the the check, he informed me that he did not know how to do that. - When I informed him that I would pay my bill when the 4% came off or when I could speak with someone in management, he came out a few minutes later with the 4% mandatory gratuity charge removed from the check. I was so excited to try this place out because I like their other location, but the sunrise location is so much closer to me so I definitely wanted to go. We came with a pretty large party and they were able to accommodate us right away even set up a table for us so that we can also sit together. The food was very good. I ordered the Al pastor burrito which had a great taste. The rest of our party was happy with their food choices. The outdoor and indoor decor is very nice. Our server was very nice but it did take a while to get our drinks and then for the food to get ordered. Other than that I can't wait to go back. read more

If you are looking for a casual and fun environment in a Mexican Taco/Burger place where the food and service are terrific, this is the place to dine for either lunch or dinner. The restaurant has a fun decor with a few televisions on to popular sporting events both inside and outside. Inside there is also music from the speakers that is both festive and not too loud so this would be a great place for a group of friends to come eat and socialize. There are plenty of tables that can be moved together for larger groups. The menu has a big variety to choose between traditional tacos, AYCE tacos, traditional Mexican burritos/quesadillas and even a menu of gourmet smash burgers. The food was super fresh the portion size was very generous. Since they were advertising a grand opening a few weeks ago, my husband and I signed up for their opening promotion (AYCE Tacos) which gave us a choice of Chicken, Ground Beef, Carnitas (pork) and Veggies. There is also the choice to have them served on flour, soft corn, and hard shell tortillas. My husband and I started with a choice of 2 at a time. I had the veggie which is made up of lettuce, tomato, chopped onion, and a large scoop of guacamole with a drizzle of sour cream on top. The carnitas was juicy with chopped red onion, cilantro, sour cream and a generous portion of pulled pork. The Gringo: ground beef, and the chicken had similar toppings and they were loaded with meat as well. I loved how they toasted the tortillas which made them hold together with all the juicy meat inside. We each ate five tacos in all and totally enjoyed our meal. We even added the Classic Margarita which was well made and very tasty. The service from Cesar and Belen was excellent and sitting at the bar for lunch was fun and we enjoyed looking at all the decor on the bar area. They have daily specials on both food and beverages. Parking was not an issue even with a few other restaurants and shopping stores in the plaza. I really enjoyed my dining experience and can't wait to return to try some of the other menu items which all looked delicious. read more

My boyfriend & I went there on Sunday to eat ! If it wasn't for the food I would have given 2 stars. It was very empty! 2 tables to be exact! And our wait after we got seated was ridiculous! The food was YUMMY! I had the Baja fish taco ( now I know to get buffalo sauce on the side).&!it was yummy , cod fried PERFECTLY!!He had the chicken birria& OMG it was AMAZINGGGG! Excited for a new place in the neighborhood. Located right next to Doris Market in Sunrise, we think we found a winner. We were in the mood for tacos and saw this new spot was opening and wandered in and were greeted by friendly staff. They are in the middle of a "soft" opening so not everything was available but we loved what we tried. Started with the homemade chips and salsa which are dangerously good. Salsa is perfect since I don't like too spicey! We each had a taco platter, I tried the mango shrimp tacos and my partner in crime had the gringo beef. I was hungry and finished every bite on my plate. And the chips. And a beer! Don't judge me. lol we saw many other item we would come back to try and hope to go back and make this a regular in our rotation. ZERO stars. Wow. I've never had such a horrible experience in a restaurant. Not only did my steak tacos have more onions and cilantro than steak... but it was SO SALTY that I couldn't even push through to eat them. I never return food but I just had to.... Super expensive steak tacos for a tortilla full of onions and cilantro. Then I ordered a chicken quesadilla for my kid and they bring a cheese only quesadilla. That was the last straw. The waitress passed by the table next to us a total of 4 times (that I noticed) and didn't even acknowledge our table. The margarita was more sugar and ice than anything else. I've never NOT finished a margarita. And the waitress said it would be a $6 margarita and I got charged $14. Then when I spoke to whomever it was (highly doubt it was a manager) he was completely unprofessional and not at all apologetic. I was so excited about this restaurant. Stopped by on a Sunday late afternoon, there were some customer seated outside however, when I walked in, maybe a total of 4 people. Placing my drink order took about 10 minutes although there was no one else there and even for them to prepare my drink was another 10. I ordered steak tacos and there was more onions and cilantro than steak. The steak was lacking in flavor and came out room temperature. Super happy about this restaurant opening! The food is super fresh, delicious and has lots of options for vegetarians. They are pretty much the only Mexican restaurant that I know who doesn't cook their rice in Chicken Stock. Guacamole and salsa were so good and fresh. Very friendly server, Cesare! Came in as a party of 3 and experienced slow service throughout my time there. We were never checked on regarding how the food was which it was not good. I am not Hispanic and can make better tacos at home. There was nothing authentic about the tacos. the chicken and beef tacos LACKED flavor. Extremely disappointing. Tried to spice it up since we were hungry but even that was a fail. Usually when you go to a restaurant that primarily sells tacos you could receive a red or green salsa to put on top.. we asked for "green sauce" and got cilantro crema which was mostly crema. Okay they don't know what I'm talking about clearly.. how about a spicy sauce? They should know what I mean then right? Wrong.. I received buffalo sauce. What a joke. On tacos?? My friend ordered chips and guac and it was never received. Although it still ended up being on the check and the server tried to argue she had no idea we didn't get it. Why? So Happy to see this spot open a new location in Sunrise. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Pork belly bites are the right mix of crunchy and succulent, especially with the delicious Smokey sauce. The Birria Brisket tacos are mouth watering deliciousness. They are the right mix of spicy & cheese. Normally I ask for sour cream, however the flavor was too delicious to mask. My boyfriend was ecstatic to see a classic California Burrito on the menu. My boyfriend asked the server for a drink twice, which was never brought, and the bill was wrong containing food that we didn't order. The tacos were very very very salty and i ordered a margarita and didn't even get a lime in the drink or tajin around the drink . I order the Birria & Carnitas tacos and they were missing the cheese. I had stale chips and the guacamole looked old. Really didn't eat my food and spent $90.00 there. I saw other customers barely eating their food too. They also add there 18% tip on your check (gratuity). Staff also only checked on us about two times. Asked for water and gave me a dirty cup with warm water. My wife and I found this charming restaurant quite by accident. Or maybe we were guided there by the food gods, either way we are so glad we stopped in. The first impression we got was a warm friendly welcome from a gentleman behind the bar that was genuine. He guided us through the taco/burrito menu, has a large selection of both and various other items, the drink menu: a nice variety of margaritas, beers etc. And they also have a Mr. Smash burger menu. My wife ordered the Gringo Beef Taco. 3 ground beef tacos with the standard cheese and lettuce. But the stars on the plates for the both of us was the absolutely fresh Pico and the amazing sauces. Hers came with a white crema. I had the Trio of Tacos consisting of 1 Gringo Beef w/ white crema, 1 Carnitas Taco, pork so tender it melts in your mouth w/ cilantro garlic sauce and 1 Chicken Taco w/ cilantro garlic sauce. I ordered a side of the jalapeño sauce and as good as it was it almost seemed a sin to add anything to the delicious food. The wife had an original margarita that was smooth and refreshing as was the Modelo White that I had. We will be back again and again. read more
