pot daddy drinks
Vian N.

we came here after a pottery class at Pot Daddy, and they offer a complimentary drink (alch/mocktail) if you bring the piece you made at Pot Daddy!! the drinks tasted like a sweet orange juice, delicious their garlic bread is heavenly, slightly crispy and coated in oil, parmesan, and garlic!! insanely airy 10/10 love the carbonara was also very good, thick, and cheesy. the salty pancetta added good salty flavor to the dish would come back

I'm actually not sure if Patrizi's got better since I visited years ago from my college days, but I remember always not loving Patrizi's despite how much of a cult favorite and Austin classic they are. I also LOVE Italian food, so it made me sad that I didn't crave Patrizi's as often as I should've. However, my friend who's never visited Texas came to visit recently and of course, I had to show him Patrizi's. We went to their further location where they offer pizza, and we got two pastas and one pizza and everything was so delicious. I actually could see myself ordering from here for takeout orders, and I wish they were closer because you can never go wrong with handmade pasta noodles. I do think the pesto pasta is underwhelming for my personal taste, but I loved their classic tomato with sausage pizza.

Yum! One of my favorite restaurants in Austin. I always get half pastas when I'm here and I also tried Veggie Sott'olio. I wished this dish was warm and not as oily. I think it would be great if they added some Parmesan cheese too.

I had heard so many great things about patrizi's from the atx locals and it's safe to say, I was definitely not disappointed! When we entered, we were welcomed by the inviting staff and walked us through their ordering process and menu. This surely made the process feel less intimidating and I really enjoy that they do a lot for to ensure customer satisfaction. My friend and I had ordered the garlic bread and pesto pasta as well as a PotDaddy Punch (received a complimentary coupon at pot daddy's right before!). This was definitely one of those meals that tastes as good as if looks. The leopald (basil & arugula pesto pasta) was delicious and the flavors between the spice and zest were worth noting. The garlic bread served shortly after and I really loved the flavors, all that was missing for me was some melted mozzarella on it. After devouring that delicious meal, we decided that no Italian meal is complete without tiramisu. The cake was extremely moist and airy which I really enjoyed. It also tasted very rich and espresso-y! The inside was decorated very nicely and they even had a window that you could see the fresh pasta made in house! Super cool dining experience! Already thinking about my next time coming back!

Do you see a fork in here, no? Cause there ain't one.

I ordered to go here so my daughter could eat something before her nap. Guess what they didn't have for pasta?? A plastic freaking fork. So I asked for a metal one because I ordered to go and needed something to feed her with??? Like a spoon and knife ain't gonna cut it for pasta??? And they wouldn't give it to me. Asked for a manager or owner and none to be found. Only giving one extra star because they did offer us coupons to come back, but girly why would I want to come back.

Love Thy Neighbor: Patrizi's absolutely embodies that. After finding out that a dear friend's son, who had recently extinguished all efforts in battling a terminal diagnosis of high grade glioma, only food request was Patrizi's own butter noodles we knew we had to reach out asap. Lyn and the whole team not only came through but they came through BIG. The extra time, the extra servings, were just everything during such a dark time. So just wanted to return the love and say thank you again. Gestures like this give us all hope. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Patrizi's off Cuernavaca is hands down one of the best Italian restaurants in Austin. Tucked away in the gorgeous Westlake area, this place delivers serious Italian comfort food vibes with the kind of fresh-made pasta that completely ruins you for anything out of a box. We went early on a Sunday with a group--no wait, which felt like winning the lottery because every single thing we ordered was incredible. The cacio e pepe was rich and peppery perfection, the chicken parm and meatball sandwiches were cheesy, saucy masterpieces, the lemon thyme pasta was bright and unforgettable, the rainbow salad was crisp and fresh, the garlic bread and bruschetta were total carb heaven, and the tiramisu... honestly, it's so delicious. Between the food, the chill atmosphere, and the beautiful location, this is the kind of spot that makes you want to come back again and again. If you love Italian food, go to Patrizi's.

Patrizi's is one of those rare places that feels like a secret you want to share--but also want to keep all to yourself. What began as an food truck now has a second location with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for bigger parties. This review is for the new location. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - The Cuernavaca location is a beautiful evolution of the Patrizi's experience. Unlike the original food truck setup, this spot offers both indoor and outdoor seating, making it ideal for everything from casual lunches to cozy date nights. Inside, the space is warm and inviting, with rustic wood accents, soft lighting, and a relaxed, modern Italian vibe. Outside, the patio is lush and shaded--perfect for sipping wine and enjoying a long meal under the Texas sky. 1 Star. Service - This location operates as a fast-casual restaurant, and the setup works beautifully. You order at the counter, receive a number, and your food is brought to your table. The staff are friendly, efficient, and happy to answer questions or offer recommendations. 1 Star. Food - Let's talk about the stars of the show. Caprizi Sandwich - Think of it as a Caprese salad turned up to eleven: thick slices of fresh mozzarella, juicy tomatoes, fragrant basil, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze, all nestled between perfectly toasted bread. The bread has just the right crunch on the outside and softness inside, soaking up all the flavors without falling apart. It's fresh, rich, and deeply satisfying. Beet Salad - A beautiful contrast to the sandwich, the beet salad is earthy, sweet, and vibrant. The beets are roasted to perfection, paired with creamy goat cheese, arugula, and a light vinaigrette that ties everything together. It's refreshing and balanced--a great way to start or complement your meal. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. Patrizi's offers some of the best Italian food in the most casual and unpretentious setting. Its laid back heel is pretty amazing considering you're getting high quality Italian fare. 1 Star.

bruschetta and tomato salad
Lola M.

I went to Patrizi's last night, a hidden gem with pasta, salads, amazing starters, and all with some live music. We started out with the bruschetta. Every single bite was bursting with flavor, and the crunchy yet soft bread was the perfect pairing. We got two salads: one with tomatoes, arugula, and farm cheese; the other with mixed greens and garlic confit. The two pastas we ordered were incredible. One was a mix of two pestos (one with lemon and the other with dry roasted tomato), and the other was entirely roasted tomato. We also got a meatball that was incredibly juicy and well-seasoned, covered in red sauce. When you arrive at Patrizi's, you get in line at the pasta bar, where after ordering, you receive a number to put on your table. We got lucky and had a couple of musicians setting up right when we arrived, so we enjoyed live music throughout dinner. There is a little theater inside where you can buy drinks such as wine, beer, or soda. Overall, it was an amazing experience. There is parking outside, but if it's full, it's possible to find street parking as well.

Oh my goodness. I'm still dreaming about their garlic bread. If you are looking for incredible and reasonably priced Italian, this is the place. Everything is made in house. From the bread, to the pasta, to the cheese and when I say it's incredible, I truly mean it. We ordered a few different appetizers to share and different pastas and every single thing was so good. The serving sizes are very generous and we had leftovers and it tasted just as good the following day. The servers were knowledgeable and answered our questions and were so excited to welcome us to their restaurant as first timers. We ate outside on their back patio and it had lots of shade and different areas for seating. They had a dj there who was playing vinyl records and the vibes were so nice. It was like swing mixed with different vintage styles and we loved it. I missed their name, but they were even dressed like a vintage sailor and it was iconic. Can't wait to go back again!!

So glad they serve pasta all day now! Came on a Sunday evening (yes they're open Sundays) , order at counter, grab a cocktail in the bar and grab a seat in or outside on their patio. Pasta is all in house made fettuccine with various sauces. All great portions and flavorful! The Leopold and Pomodoro were amazing! The porch sipper was a very cucumbery refreshing cocktail.

This is a great spot! Live music outside and plenty of seating. The staff is very friendly, greeting you right when you walk in. The pasta is freshly made each day, and they have a really nice $20 meal combo where you get garlic bread, salad, and your choice of pasta. We went on a Saturday night, and the line was not too long so got seated/our food pretty quickly! Pesto was super fresh!

We had a woman in business luncheon at this place while ago, and I got the rainbow salad they have one sandwich option, I think one pizza option, and salad for vegans not a big selection though I would love if they had one pasta option as well. Available to vegan vegetarians without egg or who don't eat egg. The place is very lively, though they have parking next to the restaurant. They have a very nice bar. I got the iced tea which was really good. The ambience would make me want to spend more time here with my friends. The people are really kind. I just wish That they had a bigger selection for vegan vegetarians.

Food was fantastic! Owner met us at the door to welcomed us and show us around. Get the pizza- it's the best I've had in Austin.

I had made a reservation a few weeks prior for our anniversary month. When we sat at our table they had a cute little greeting card from the staff wishing us a happy anniversary. Pro Tip: Just make a reservation way in advance and if you make it you make it. Even if you don't think you will be able to make it. If you can't go just cancel with enough advance. We started with the Meatballs that pair wonderfully with their Italian Bread. Flavorful and plentiful dish and def get the bread! Next came the Bone Marrow & Tuna Crudo. I will say though for some reason after we finished our Meatballs it took them quite a while to bring our dishes after that. Bone Marrow was divine and also paired well with the Italian Bread. Tuna Crudo was not what I expected because it was warm and I was expecting it to be cold. But it was good and I love eggplant. Our main dish was the Agnolotti Alla Piemontese. From the description it seemed to hit all the boxes since we are meat lovers (contains braised beef & pork shoulder) and truffle. I love me some truffle. When we ordered the Agnolotti Alla Piemontese I asked him does it have a lot of truffle flavor because I love truffle. He said oh we can definitely add more truffle if you would like when the dish comes out. When the dish came they had the chef come shave an extra truffle on the dish. I honestly could not taste the difference. Was not enough truffle flavor for me. Note the extra truffle is an added charge. Overall lovely experience. If we return we will need to try some different dishes to give it another try.

Never heard of this place but got a coupon in the mail for a buy one lunch, get a free lunch…read more Decided to try it as I'm always looking for decent Italian food. As it turns out the coupon was only good during the week and it was Saturday. No big deal. I ordered a Meatball Sandwich, my friend an Italian Sandwich (after asking our excellent young waitress about it). She brought out two very tasty types of bread with olive oil for dipping. The sandwiches came with Garlic Fries. The Fries were delicious but unfortunately mine were lukewarm. I certainly could have asked for a fresh portion, but was hungry enough not to bother. That's the reason my rating wasn't 5 Star. Because the restaurant was pretty empty on this Saturday afternoon, I feel the Chef shouldn't have sent out fries that weren't piping hot. The Meatball Sandwich however was marvelous. Freshly made, tasty meatballs with sauce and cheese on their focaccia bread was a real treat. I took half home and ate the rest for dinner. All in all, I'd come back here again as the food was excellent as well as the service.

Must serve tons of spaghetti and meat sauce for the kids. But we're not here for the early bird family special. This is big time birthday celebration for the patriarch of this gang of Bostonians out for some wicked Italian food. We started with the beautiful bread basket nice fresh slices with some soft focaccia. The Calamari was standard some crispy tentacles with tough chewy meat. Meatball appetizers were big and beautifully blended globs of ground beef and sausage served with sauce. Now the it's Primo time. The Molto Grande Patti. Pork Chops with Giardiniera . Somebody forgot to make golden brown cutlets so they served an overcooked slab of pork chop underneath an assortment of pickled vegetables over a bed of pasta in red sauce. The only taste was pickled everything. Back to the kitchen and off the table. Veal Piccata consisted of two slices of meat, non tenderized, non dredged in flour and non pan seared. Served atop linguini swimming in a sea of lemon sauce and capers. What a wonderful disaster this was. Then the Lasagna served in casserole. If the traditional Lasagna is too time consuming to make then don't fake it with a casserole that the old Irish Lady makes. Good lasagna is made with layers of pasta, rich sauce, gooey cheese made with ricotta, mozzarella and parmigiano cheeses and loads of ground beef and sausage. Come on that's too easy to mess up with this awful thing you put in front of me. Ok the Penne was cooked to perfection. The sauce with green floating in it tasted good once I got past the floating algae. Sorry Folks but Cousin Louie's is best left for the kids spaghetti feast. No place for grown ups to dine.
