Had the tip of the charger break off in the charging port on my laptop and couldn't get it out. Took it to the Geek Squad at Best Buy and they told me they couldn't get it out and it would be $250-$300 to fix and they would have to outsource. Mostly they pushed me to buy a new computer. Took the computer to Jason at Patriot Computer Solutions and he just said "give me a day, $90 for the service and a new charger if I can do it, free if I can't fix it". A couple days later and it was fixed for $90. My wife is thrilled as she loves this laptop. Thank you Jason!! I highly recommend Patriot Computer Solutions for any of your computer needs. read more

I'm a small business supporter and advocate, but this one doesn't get my endorsement. No sign-in sheet, release or receipt, basically no record of leaving my laptop at the shop. Says he'll call later that afternoon. The next day, I had to call HIM. He tells me it needs a new motherboard (exactly what I told him when I dropped it off) and he can't have it done for another 2 weeks. Long story short, I paid $90 for someone to tell me what I already knew. No receipt, no diagnostic report, no formal recommendation, nothing. Just a text confirming the charge... I took my tower to Jason, hoping against hope that he could rescue it. And he did! Quickly, cheerfully and for a very reasonable price. I would never go to any other repair shop after the efficient, friendly and reasonable serivce I received at Patriot. And he has a free bowl of truffles too . . . read more

Jason was great to vent to about my recent external hard drive issues. He seemed very familiar with everything that I was explaining, which was very comforting. We got the ball rolling on some data recovery and I'm glad that we have a reliable contact here in town for all things Computer related. If you're having any technical issues, I would definitely recommend you reach out to Patriot Computer Solutions! read more

Not even open don't waste your time coming . Door is locked but ring the doorbell and wait for 5 minutes and nothing.

TLDR; This guy is either a scammer or a complete idiot that you shouldn't let anywhere near your laptop or computer. Stay FAR away from this store!! I went in because my laptop gpu and cpu were both running high temps at sustained loads. Told him the temps of each and how the laptop was 6 years old and hadn't been maintained. I went in hoping to support local by buying thermal paste and an ifixit kit or similar from them as opposed to Best Buy or other giant retailers. I'm computer savvy enough to already know the solution and how to fix my own problems. I thought it'd be a simple transaction ONLY FOR HIM TO SAY IT NEEDED A NEW SSD AND TRY TO CHARGE ME $400 OUT THE DOOR! Needless to say the dude is either a) a scammer preying upon computer illiterate customers or b) actually an idiot. In either case, THIS STORE SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS! Here's why I say that: Hard Disk Drives (HDD) and Solid State Drives (SSD) are purely for storage. They don't do any processing and the difference between HDD and SSD's are just load times (read/write times). They have nothing to do with gpu and cpu temps running at 100°C under load. You either need to replace the thermal paste on each OR replace the respective components if new thermal paste doesn't remedy the temps. Again... storage is only for storage. So, I ended up going to Best Buy to buy myself some thermal paste and an iFixIt kit and doing the job myself. AND GET THIS - the exact same cheap 1tb SSD that he would've sold me for $400 only cost FIFTY DOLLARS. Not to mention I looked into it myself and as it turns out, immediately after unscrewing the bottom laptop panel off, the slot for the SSD is the first thing you see for most laptops. It's as simple as unplugging a ribbon, taking the old one out, putting the new one in, putting the ribbon back in and voila. So in conclusion, this guy thinks it's a fair proposition to charge $400 for a $50 SSD that'd take no more than 10 minutes to replace - EVEN WHEN that would do absolutely nothing to fix the original problem you came in for! I ended up doing everything myself for $40 AND I actually solved my problem and dropped cpu and gpu temps by 15°C each! !! KEEP YOUR MONEY AND RUN FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS !! read more

Super knowledgeable... my problem was solved in 5 minutes with zero dollars out of pocket. Sweet place

I can't suggest Phil's work more. After days and days of struggling with my custom build I dropped it off and Phil figured it out and fixed it within the hour while competitors were going to take it for WEEKS. I'm so grateful, and it's now up and running so smoothly! Thank you again Phil!! read more

When you have the option to choose a small local business over a big box store you should. And that is even more so when the owner is a veteran who has served out country. When you choose Patriot you will be very happy you did. They took my call in person, took my computer in shortly after and within a day or so had it working again. This was the first time using their service and I will definitely be back. Thanks so much for being a part of our community. Keep up the great work! read more

Jason has helped us several times because I have struggled maintaining a long term relationship with any computer. I always break their hearts...or casing. He helped me find a great refurbished computer and gave me very helpful suggestions for my needs. Plus he fixed my old one so I get to keep my ex around. There wasn't any upselling, just honest and reliable every time. Hopefully I can be more tender to this one. read more

Took my computer in on Monday, I and three other customers waited 15 minutes for them to arrive after the posted 9am opening time. They kept my machine for a full week. Apparently although I was a repeat customer, I was not a priority customer. After daily calls with no progress, three days into the "diagnosis" week I was told I needed a new video card to fix. Picked computer up late Friday after a full week out of service, only to find out when I returned home that "fix" did not work. First resolution was an issue, then computer freezing (my original problem continued). Although new part was installed, same computer freeze continued. So I paid $250 for parts and labor that did not fix my problem. While Jason said I could return my pc for a fix on Friday, after a 30 minute one way drive, I showed up at 12:02 to find the store closed for lunch. So they are late to open, early to close for lunch and never fix my computer issue. My recommendation, go elsewhere!!!!! read more

I've been here five times now, excellent, affordable, knowledgeable. I recommend this place for all home users and small-medium Roseville businesses. I've been in the technology word what seems like 100 years. Great place! read more

i got a new SSD car in my pc and I ask him on the phone how much is will cost and he said he doesn't know what the problem was when I explained I need windows on my PC. then when I drive 40 minutes to his shop, he tells me it's $250 and he know exactly what I need and it would take hours. this guy is the biggest scammer ever. it took me 30 minutes to do it by myself read more

I needed a new CPU, and originally thought I would just go pick something up at Best Buy. Am I ever glad I instead did a little research and found Patriot! I was able to buy a reconditioned desktop computer at a price I could afford, with no hassle, and also support a small local business. When I ran into a snag with installation, Jason was able to coach me through it by phone and hook me up with the cable I needed, so I didn't need to have a tech come out. This is now my go-to place for any computer-related needs. read more

This is the place to go whenever you have a computer problem. Over the years ive blown my computer up a few times where i couldnt identify the problem and took my computer to pcs. My laptop stopped working out of the blue, so I sought out to find a repair shop in the Roseville area. I came upon PCS after a simple google search and decided to take a chance on them, and I am so glad I did! Jason was very friendly and answered all of my questions when I dropped off my laptop late in the day. The next morning, my computer was diagnosed and he shared the bad news with me. He gave me several options on how I can proceed with a repair or a data recovery service. In the past at other repair shops (like down the street), they haven't been as helpful. I would definitely recommend PCS for your computer needs! read more

WOW, these people are GREAT. I had a catastrophic Hard Drive failure and both Phillip and Jason were excellent. They worked quickly and kept me informed the entire time!! What I thought was disastrous, they were able to fix. I was concerned I'd be overcharged, they were reasonable. The first person who looked at my computer said this was above his pay grade but the guys at Professional Computer Services kept reassuring me they could help. I hope I never need them again but if I do, I will only go back to them!! read more

My husband and I have lousy computer skills. So we are grateful to PCS, which has bailed us out of many crises. Our latest 911 call to PCS involved a dead Netflix connection. (NOBODY at Netflix could solve the problem.) Enter Phil Taylor from PCS. I have to admit it took him awhile to untangle this nasty mess. Phil frowns a lot when he's thinking. He went all over the house like Sherlock Holmes solving a murder mystery, checking connections, looking for the culprit. What killed the Netflix?? Phil frowned. Then, Eureka: the app was trying to connect to the wrong cable network. The complexities of this are beyond me, but I can tell you for sure that we are enjoying Netflix again, thanks to Phil. read more

If you can type and do computer research, but all of a sudden your laptop makes a grinding sound like wheels are spinning, but going nowhere, contact Jason. He is my computer guru! In less than 5 minutes, Jason knew what the problem was. It was a refurbished laptop with an old fashioned hard drive that could not be repaired or restored. Bummer! I needed a computer! Not to fear, Jason keeps refurbished laptop and desk top computers on hand for this type of scenario. I left with a very nice refurbished Dell laptop at a reasonable price. I am back typing away. Thanks, Jason. read more
