I've since had my MacBook serviced at another reputable shop in the Arden area. This place is simply amazing! They are honest they are reasonable in price and they don't try to RIP you off. I had the experience of accidentally spilling water on my laptop. I went to Apple in Arden mall. Two techs (one a lead or supervisor) all concurred that my laptop was ruined, and the only thing I could do was to purchase a new laptop. They also informed me that if I wanted to get it fixed like go to a third party it would cost me thousands of dollars and it would not be worth it. I was distraught, because with today's economy finances are tough. I was fortunate enough to hear from one of my clients who referred me to Apple Fix Pro in Roseville. I went there and within one day they fixed my laptop cleaned it up and made it look all new AND the price was so reasonable I couldn't believe it. I was so grateful. Later, I could not get my Microsoft Word to work. I was not sure what happened. I thought it had something to do with it being retrieved and the data was not matching. I was told to go to Apple to get help, even though I was hesitant, I went anyway. I met with the Apple tech, and talking to a tech he did a couple of things on my computer and said "Oh yes you don't have enough storage in your computer so Microsoft will not work. You will need to update your storage, and the cost is about $1000". I said to the tech, that's the cost of a new computer. He said I realized that but that's your best bet. Something gnawed at me and said go back to the company that fixed your computer. I called Apple Fix Pro and Ahmed tried to help me figure out the problem over the phone. He said "if you happen to come by I can try to work with you and help you resolve your Microsoft issue. He also was honest to say Microsoft is nothing I work with but I'm willing to try to see what I can do to help". I drove over there because I was desperate. I needed my Microsoft for work. Within 15 minutes he helped me resolve my issue. The problem, I was signing into the wrong account!. I would have spent $1000.00 with Apple, that I did not have or needed. I don't trust Apple anymore, I am saddened that they tried to take advantage of a senior who is just trying to get their work done. If you really want honest good work and people who really are not trying to gouge you for your money go to Apple Fix Pro's in Roseville. If you need an Apple device repaired, just take it to Apple Fix Pros. I had a MacBook Pro that wasn't working. Called them on a Friday before noon and was told they were closing up at 230. I wouldn't be able to get there until after lunch so decided to take it to another tech repair spot that was open until 630 hoping that would be enough time to figure out what was wrong with it and get it fixed. They could see the laptop was taking a charge but since nothing came up on the screen, thought it might be a motherboard issue but suggested I take it to Apple. Decided to take a chance and bring it to Apple Fix Pros hoping they could do something before they closed. In 5 minutes they determined it was an LCD issue, thankfully had the part available and had it fixed in less than an hour. I was recently in a Zoom meeting and 2 minutes in, my laptop died. Like, it DIED died. Wouldn't charge and wouldn't turn back on, nothing. *STRESSED* The following day, I went on Yelp to search for repair shops and inquired with several regarding my problem. I had been experiencing system lag for several months with my mac. I periodically searched the internet, attempting to resolve the issue myself. I have 2019 iMac that was made late 2019 and had an issue were it wouldn't stay on it would turn off immediately and unfortunately I never got AppleCare because I bought it from Costco and Costco provides like a warranty for it .
