I had an amazing experience with Dan's Computer Repair. He was very quick to respond, and asked me a lot of good questions to get clarity on the issue I had reached out to him about initially-my laptop wasn't charging properly. He came and picked up the laptop so he could try to diagnose the issue. Well, after testing it and looking at it, he said there was nothing wrong. And the darn thing was charging for him! Doh! He promptly dropped my laptop back the next day and wasn't going to bill me because there was no issue to repair. But, given the efforts he had put in and the driving back and forth, it didn't feel right so I gave him something to say thanks because he absolutely deserved it. AND....not sure if he gave the thing a pep talk but my laptop has been working perfectly since then. Dan is professional, communicative and timely. All things I really appreciate in anyone, especially a vendor. His initial quote on the repair costs was also very reasonable and I appreciated that he said he would let me know if it would cost more than the quote and that he would get my approval before doing any repairs. I have four different jobs and three of those jobs require a lot of work remotely on my laptop. I accidentally dropped my laptop face down on my hardwood floor and smashed my screen. I called around and talked to Apple and a few other repair places before finding Dan through Yelp. I'm so happy that I went with him instead of one of these other overpriced places. Dan did a great job getting my desktop computer up and running. It had stopped working and I couldn't even tell him what was wrong. Dan went in blind, somehow got my computer going and gave me a backup drive to use if my desktop crashes. He charged by the hour and the cost of the hardware. I thought his hourly rate was reasonable. That's cool. Another service Dan provides is a delivery. He picked up my computer and dropped it off a few days later. I have used him 3 times on computers here, every time he is great to work with, gives good straight advice and options on fixing or upgrading your computer. Dan is prompt, professional, and very kind. My laptop had suddenly blue-screened on me and refused to come back to life. After putting out estimate requests, Dan was one of the first people to respond. He asked clarifying questions and even had some suggestions for me to try on my end, as well as quoting me a reasonable price for the diagnostic.
