Very comfortable atmosphere and delicious bakery

Atmosphere is comfortable . Stuff is really friendly and nice. Dessert is also very delicious

Chocolate croissant, Black Forest tart, lemon strawberry tart

This fairly new addition to the neighborhood cannot be more welcomed! I first found out about them when one of my friends brought their savory tomato Provençal tart and Choc Berry Berry (a chocolate raspberry Swiss roll cake) to a bridal shower. The staff told my friend that the roll was a new item - so new that they didn't even know what price they should sell it for! Both items, but especially the Choc Berry Berry, were crazy delicious, and I couldn't get it out of my mind the following days. So yes, I paid this place a visit on a weekday evening hoping to get my hands on that roll. I was blown away by how beautiful the interior was. Cute tables by the front, gorgeous wallpaper that would make for a great photo op, and glass displays of the treats! There weren't much options left by the time I went and I found out that they don't sell the roll anymore. I was of course pretty disappointed, but I still bought two sweet tarts since I was already there. The flavors were lemon strawberry and Black Forest. They were $6 each and quite worth it for how much detail is put into them. I absolutely loved how the lemon strawberry wasn't too sour and the touch of torched meringue. But I enjoyed the Black Forest tart more and found the chocolate crunch toppings to be a nice addition. I chatted with the staff member a bit about the Choc Berry Berry hoping that she'd somehow be able to bring it back. She was so friendly and even gave me two chocolate croissants, a pecan cranberry sourdough, and another bread on the house. I'm definitely going to return again! After I went home and did some digging, I realized they have a few more locations in NJ, UWS, etc

Dessert options - so good!

I've tried a few things from them already - two pastry cakes - their hot chocolate - iced cappuccino - pastrami lox on sourdough And my oh my everything was been great so far! What a great option here on Ave M

a plate of food with a sandwich and a dipping sauce

This place was dog shit I had some weirdo take my order, I got a water bottle and a tomato mozzarella panini. there was moisturizer or Vaseline on my water bottle and im not tryna touch that shit and then the mozzarella panini was the biggest piece of dogshit u'll ever try. I'll post a pic of the sandwich and also there was a shit ton of flies in the restaurant one of them landed on me. I'm never going to that shithole again In my life and you shouldn't either!!!

Just opened, half empty Creamy Mushroom Soup.

I love patis. I really do, the food is absolutely delicious. Overpriced, but delicious. But for some reason the last week or two of going there have been issues with the food. Last week there was a bone in my lox so they remade it for me which was good. But today I spend $6 on a small size soup and I open it up to see it half filled? I didn't even taste it yet and half of the cup is empty! Just seems like a rip off to get a soup that amount and size only for it to be half full? I really do love the food here, I just wish they would give the quantity they charge for.

Bagel with Roasted Garlic Cream Cheese with lox and arugula and pickled red onion!

I really enjoyed my bagel sandwich. It was crispy which isn't something I've experienced before but I liked it and bought some for my mom!

Food: Smash burger are great, they are not the best but I would rank it as top 5 in the city. I was pretty surprised how they charge for cheese (the place is mostly Kosher, and the Cheese of I remember is vegan) which contradict the concept of smash burgers. The fries were overly cooked if not almost burned, so I couldnt eat half of the basket. Service: ordering regular fries and getting trufle fries just to charge me extra is not a nice move. But having those popcorn and water cup made up for it little bit. If I knew I would be charged that much (burger + fries) I would have chosen from the lunch special menu

Wanted to like this place more but it missed the mark. This is really a 3.5 star review…read more I went on a weekday around 12:30 and it was completely empty. I was told to take a menu from the counter and that I could have a seat. Tried to order a mint lemonade but they didn't have any mint. OK so I ordered a strawberry basil iced tea, which was refreshing, but didn't really have much flavor in my opinion. When I looked at the menu, they had a lot of different burger options but I settled for a Smashburger that was shown on a summer menu. However, I then watched the waiter offer two groups who came after me a lunch special menu that was not offered or mentioned to me. Had I known there were lunch specials, I would've checked them out to see if I wanted to order. So I was a little upset that these were offered to everyone except me. In terms of the actual burger, I found the patties to be way too thin, even for a smash burger. To me it left the burger, feeling kind of skimp and not fulfilling at all. I also ordered fries which were honestly the star of the show. Lastly, I didn't feel like the service was up to par. There was a large table in front of a door and the waiter kept yelling to people to not sit at the table because he needed to access the door. My question is, why place a table in a spot that you know you need to be able to go in and out of? And then on top of that when he gave me the bill, it said one price, however, after I paid and a receipt was brought to me to sign it, had a different price. What I think happened is he did not add the drink the first time and I didn't notice, but I feel like when this happened you should just say to the customer that you forgot to add something and here's a new receipt. There was also an automatic 15% gratuity, which I wasn't fond of. I spent $40 for a lunch that I barely liked. Way too overpriced and not worth the visit imo.

If that's not the most Brooklyn thing ever, I don't know what is. Same sandwiches, different blessing. Everybody says order the pastrami, so I listened like a grown man should. Pastrami on rye with spicy mustard absolutely slapped. Smoky, juicy, perfectly stacked, and messy enough to ruin your shirt with honor. Then came the beef brisket on rye with a cup of au jus for dipping... and brother, that dip should be studied by scientists. Pure perfection. Washed everything down with a Dr. Brown's root beer like it was 1957. No fake trendy nonsense. No deconstructed sandwiches. Just old-school deli greatness that punches you directly in the soul. Great food doesn't care where you come from -- it just brings everybody to the same table. That's New York. That's Brooklyn.

Their signature burger is ultra juicy bf flavorful, even if you must get it well done ;), the Duck pastrami was really tender and had all the flavors of what a traditional pastrami would have. Their charcuterie board was phenomenal and chef said he'd be updating it from time to time with new additions as well. And I'm physical obsessed with their pickled veggies jar!! Loved their olive oil cake served with an in season persimmon and kumquat coulis, almost like a short cake and the sweet and tart of the fruit coulis complimented really well. Oh and they will hold your table 20 min past your reservation time, DO NOT BE LATER THAN THAT because there is a ton of walk ins and they will give your table up to one of the many hungry patrons waiting. Which I do very much appreciate that they stick to that rule.
