Hit up Pastis for Sunday brunch and what a great time we had. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and the vibes were great on both. If it's a hot summer day or a chance of rain, def go for inside seating as the umbrella coverage isn't the best. And be sure to make your reservation on Resy. We ordered an egg breakfast and a burger with fries. Both were fantastic. They make good cocktails so, drink up. Weekend afternoons is prob the best time to come, and I'll for sure be back again.

    Steak tartare and oysters

I haven't written a review in a long time, but our dinner last night was worthy of one. Wow. It was Valentine's Day, and on a Saturday, so I was terrified to eat out because the food and service tends to lack with the overwhelming demand. But.....I was extremely surprised by everything. My martini was perfect, the food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. We started with oysters and steak tartare for appetizers. Both were exceptional, I will crave that tartare for a while. Then we shared the skirt steak frites with a side salad. I can't even tell you what our favorite bite was because every single dish, yes even the side salad, was just perfect. The server was so attendant and kind. I don't think my water glass was ever below halfway. The restaurant is beautiful, dimly lit and decorated gorgeously. I felt like I was back in Paris with just the perfect touch of Miami (hello loud music and conversations). I could not recommend this restaurant more. Expectations were blown out of the water. Will definitely be going back.

We really enjoy Pastis and have been there a couple of times now, and it's always been a big hit. From the drinks all the way to dessert, everything has been consistently excellent, we honestly haven't ordered a single thing we didn't like. The food and drinks feel well thought out and executed, which makes each visit just as enjoyable as the last. The service has always been great as well, no complaints. It's also a great spot for a date night. The atmosphere is lovely, especially in the evening, with beautiful ambient lighting that sets the mood perfectly. The space feels lively and buzzing, yet still cozy and intimate at the same time. Overall, Pastis is a place we're always happy to return to and would highly recommend for a special night out or a relaxed, memorable meal.

Pastis is a love language only few know how to speak, and when I say that I'm talking most specifically about their Spaghetti Limone. I could write poems about this dish. Needless to say, Pastis has such a special place in the hearts of all lucky enough to try it. Extremely versatile, perfectly accommodating any date, family gathering, or even lunch; it truly is a hit in any scenario. Other star plates include their American Burger, remaining on the list of top Burgers in the city despite the burger scene expanding as quickly as it has; as well as their steak tartare, and their brunch menu is also worth noting with their delicious Eggs Benedict & Steak Frites. The ambiance is incredibly photo-worthy and one we will see on your IG feed without a doubt after a visit.

By far, one of my favorite restaurants! I went with my boyfriend for Miami Spice 2025 and we were blown away by such a beautiful restaurant and crazy delicious meals! The escargot stole the show! Buttery and garlicky - even better on top of the sourdough! The lemon pasta is one of the best I've had! Salad was refreshing, burger was juicy, fries were crispy, and desserts were yummy! Service was attentive and quick, despite such a busy night. We will be coming back to try different dishes soon.

My friends and I recently checked out Pastis, a French restaurant in Miami, and honestly, it's a really cute spot--with both indoor and outdoor seating. We dined outside, and the atmosphere is cozy, almost like sitting on a little European terrace. Charming and relaxed. Service was a bit hit-or-miss. The reception was welcoming, but once we were seated, it sometimes felt like we were a bit of a bother. The bread basket took 20 minutes to arrive, and even though we mentioned we were celebrating a birthday, there wasn't much acknowledgement--other tables were sung to, but not us. While I can't say for certain, it did feel like the service we received was different from other tables, and it seemed influenced by the fact that we were the only black people in the restaurant. It's not about the bread or dessert itself, but about consistent, attentive service for all guests. We started with onion soup and burrata. The onion soup was rich, savory, full of flavor, and so comforting--definitely a great way to start the meal. The burrata was fresh and creamy, though we had to ask for baguettes to go with it, and it took a while for them to come, which left us waiting to fully enjoy the dish. I tried the Miami Mango mocktail (passionfruit & mango puree, lemon, grenadine, tonic). It was very tart and leaned more toward passionfruit than mango--not my favorite, but if you like tart drinks, it might be for you. For mains, we had: Gratin au Macaroni with Ham Spaghetti Bolognese Chicken Paillard with Almonds & Picholine Olives Linguine Vongole Boeuf Bourguignon with Frites The Chicken Paillard was seasoned but the combination of the salty olives and the acidity of the lemon made the dish extra salty. The salad was fresh but topped with parmesan which is also salty didn't help balance it. If you order this, go with mashed potatoes for a better balance. The macaroni and ham was creamy with a good texture but also on the salty side. The Bolognese was fresh, but nothing spectacular. The highlight dish was definitely the Boeuf Bourguignon with mashed potatoes-- tender, buttery, and basically melted in my mouth. The mashed potatoes were light, airy, and creamy--truly a perfect combo. If you try one thing, make it this. For dessert, I had the Crème Brûlée, which had a perfect caramelized top and thick, creamy texture. Flavor-wise, it was a little mild--more milky than rich--and could have had more depth. Parking is easy: street parking is available, or valet is $25 if you're not a member. Overall, Pastis has a charming vibe but a few overly salty plates, inconsistent service, and slightly overpriced menu items keep it from being perfect. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again, and I have to note that the way our table was treated felt noticeably different compared to others, which was disappointing.

Escargot, tuna carpaccio, French onion soup, espresso martini
    Subani A.

Drinks Espresso martini to start is a must. Dirty martini is simple and done really well. Le Jardinier and Fleur de Lys are also great. Bartenders don't miss. Food Everything I've tried has been good. Favorites: oysters, escargot, tuna carpaccio, and the French onion soup. Spaghetti limone and salmon are both light and go really well together. Crispy artichoke app is better than the entrée. Profiteroles for dessert are worth it if you have room. Vibe Inside is more lowkey French diner scene, outside in the garden is the best when the weather's nice. Service Always solid. Love sitting at the bar--staff is friendly and attentive.

In summary * make reservations* or try to get a seat at the bar while you're waiting for your table * great vibe * good food * best French onion soup in Miami! We were craving cozy French onion soup on this unusually chilly day in Miami ! It's 44 degrees and windy ! We knew Pastis would deliver, since it's a well known French restaurant from NYC , & it did ! What we weren't expecting , was for it to be so lively and super crowded , with long waits for indoor & even the outdoor seating (on a mid Sunday afternoon)! So, I definitely recommend making reservations! We put our name in for first available , which was going to be an hour , & decided to head inside to the bar , to warm up. I guess half of Miami had the same idea ! The view be was great ! This is obviously the spot to be on Sunday afternoon! We felt like we were in NYC. We waited about 20 minutes and I got a seat at the end of the bar and my hubby comfortably stood next to me. There was actually enough space for another bar stool where he was standing, but none available. We decided to order our French onion soups here and also ended up sharing a cheeseburger .( comes with perfectly cooked, skinny pomme frites ). I'd skip the burger as there are better burgers out there , but the buns were homemade and delicious & the fries were perfect . Our bartender was really great. Hedi friendly & efficient. He told us his name , but i struggled with his accent. In reference, he looks like Mary's husband ( the French guy ) on selling Sunset TV show ! Ok, back to the food ... The French onion soup was phenomenal! The salad with avocado and shrimp looked amazing ( especially the quality of the shrimp) , so I'd probably order that next time. The mussels also looked good and the escargot smelled sooo good next to us. In summary * make reservations* or try to get a seat at the bar while you're waiting for your table * great vibe * good food * best French onion soup in Miami.

    12 piece oysters
    Mia M.

William was our server and we ordered the pancakes which are extremely large and can easily be split between two people. The yogurt berries and granola without granola because we were informed it contained nuts. A cheeseburger, the chicken paillard which is also served with nuts so be sure to mention if you have an allergy. Lastly the 12 piece oyster that were served fresh with dips and lemon but we had to request rock salt and the Le Grand Aioli which was also light yet filling. The Le Grand is served with asparagus, boiled egg, radishes and potatoes all chilled with smoked salmon and shrimp. The smoked salmon didn't have a Smokey flavor to it but it was delicious when dipped in the olive tapenade and other dips served with the platter. The atmosphere is quite nice and the bread is served with pastis whipped butter and/or olive oil upon request. I suggest trying both!

    Spaghetti Limone
    Lauren H.

I have to start with the service because it was exceptional. Our waters were never empty, the suggestions given guided us, spread good energy, and he genuinely cared. I ordered the spaghetti limone and added chicken, my mom got the same thing but added shrimp, and my sister got the salmon entree. All were settling our cravings and we truly enjoyed the food. To end, we ordered the dark chocolate mousse to finish and it was exquisitely good. Rich, yummy, and everything you could want in a sweet treat! Side note: the way this restaurant looks makes you feel like you are in France!

    Moules Frites
    Antonella Y.

The ambience is truly a slice of Paris in Miami. It was like stepping into Chez Janou's long lost cousin. I loved chez janou in Paris and this is as close as Miami will get. The service was great and attentive. My glass of water was never empty! Waitress checked up often and the manager was also on the floor helping out. The food was good. I ordered the Moules Frites, shared some escargot with friends, and topped it off with the dark chocolate mousse. Escargots were some of the best I've had. Mousse was truly decadent. Mussels were good too, mostly because of the rich buttery sauce they came with. Pricing was decent. I recommend!

The escargot was by far sone of the best with the Parmesan they used. Fresh WARM bread is served through out your meal. The main courses were generously sized. There was no clear communication at any point that these items would be charged. Based on how it was presented, it felt like these were gestures from the bar. However, when the bill was presented, those items were included, which created a very uncomfortable and confusing situation. The issue here is not about the amount, but about the lack of transparency. If items are being sent to a table, it should be made explicitly clear whether they are complimentary or will be included on the bill. Without that clarity, it feels misleading. At a restaurant of this caliber, clear communication should be a given, and unfortunately that was not the case here.

We reserved bar sitting and was seated near the end corner of the bar. They have both set menu ($195 for 4 courses) or a la carte. We ordered a few dishes from the a la carte menu to share. We were firstly served with bread and a complimentary fois gras appetizer. Their bread is the best especially the smaller ones! We got refill for the small savory pastry. The free fois gras appetizer was a bit too greasy for me, nothing special. For sharing plates, we ordered fois gras with fig, veal sweetbread and hamachi. The fois gras dish was well-flavoured. The other dishes were ordinary. I was expecting the food to impress my taste buds more from a Michelin 2-star restaurant. For mains, we ordered the bison fillet Wellington, halibut and sole. Both fish dishes were amazing but I didn't like the flavour of the bison dish. This restaurant is clearly much better with seafood dishes than meat dishes. They provide us some dessert for both dine-in and takeout at the end, and they were all tasty. Overall, the service was attentive and the vibe was quiet here. However, for $200-$300 USD per person, the food is not up to standard comparing to other Michelin 2-star restaurant when I expect to be wowed by the cooking. It's not very good value for money.
