Bagatelle Miami River truly impressed me. The space feels like a vibrant art gallery, from the Chupa Chups sculptures to the Chanel-inspired pieces, everything adds so much character and charm. The dishes were fresh and beautifully presented. The colorful salad, delicate scallop carpaccio, warm cornbread, and perfectly cooked lamb chops all stood out. Every plate felt thoughtful and full of flavor. Service was warm, attentive, and effortless, making the whole evening feel special. A beautiful mix of great food, inspiring ambiance, and genuine hospitality.

We had dinner at Bagatelle on 03/28/26, with friends to continue celebrating my daughter's birthday. The ambiance was upscale, nice decor, a nicely dressed crowd, good loud music, dining by the river, and good but not exactly the best restaurant food in Miami. The vibe is high energy with guests standing on benches and chairs at their tables being loud. It's mostly dates and older couples enjoying themselves. 3.5 rounded up to 4 stars. The prices are on the very high side for what you get. For example, a half filled bowl of mashed potatoes that had butter added was $42. The La Viande, which is a whole chicken in tarragon salt crust sauce, is $125. You couldn't order parts of a chicken. One of our friends there who only eats chicken was upset because she couldn't afford it. You have to figure spending at least $100 a piece here for dinner. We ordered the Black Sirloin steak, the mashed potatoes with truffle, 2 drinks, and my daughter's birthday cake. Normally, a fine dining restaurant serves a complimentary birthday dessert to the birthday guest but this place charges you for it. We were surprised. Service was lacking in attentiveness and timeliness but that happens sometimes. The server's name is on our bill for reference. They do have a strict dress code and you must have a reservation. Parking is a challenge in Miami. Valet parking is approximately $30. In addition to valet, the venue features a 192-foot private dock for guests arriving by boat. Street parking is also available nearby. We took Uber.

I just came here for my reservation at 11 PM All the way from California very excited to come. I've been to the one in Cabo Mexico had the best time of my life. I was hyping this place up to my family that I brought with me for my husband's birthday. When I first came to the front where you check in the Guy looked at me and asked me where's my reservation. I showed him my confirmation number. He acted like he couldn't find my reservation and he went in the back. When he came back to the front to talk to us, he said he had to cancel the reservation because there was an incident at the place. Then he switched it to. He recognizes us and he won't let us in and he has to cancel the reservation my husband asked him how can you recognize us when we are from California and never been here before He said he don't need to tell us how he recognizes us so I asked to speak to the manager I believe his name is Vigo The manager was very nice and professional. He was letting us in. But I didn't wanna come anymore because the guy at the front is a big racist against Gypsy's So it went from he can't find my reservation To he can't let us in because there was an incident Then he said that he recognizes us from last time, but I'm from California and never have been here before Do not come here if you are a gypsy or a person of color I wanna mention again it was not the manager. He was very nice and accommodating, but the people at the front desk need to go. I will be attaching a picture of the guy.

I had the most amazing amazing time here.. the most fun I've had in a little while. It's crazy because it honestly surprised me since I've been to their location in Tulum and I remember just thinking it was OK so I didn't really have high expectations for this one, but with Miami being the way it is I guess it shouldn't be surprising that it was literally amazing. The vibes were so good in here. It really just felt like everybody was there to genuinely have a good time and enjoy themselves. Not just a place to stand around and be seen. People docked their boats right in front of the patio and were part of the vibes as well lmao The service was good and everyone was so nice even the man that kind of helped us to get in was really nice and accommodating as well. I had no complaints and would come back here again and again and would definitely recommend it. This place is so much fun!

I'm not really sure how Bagatelle on the River qualifies as French or Mediterranean cuisine. The menu leans more toward seafood, steaks and pastas than anything traditionally from those regions. That said, we did enjoy the live music and the riverside view and dining right by the water was definitely a highlight. However, the service felt a bit rushed, almost like they wanted us to order everything at once and wrap things up quickly. We were in and out in just about an hour, which is pretty unusual for a dinner experience. Overall, nice ambiance but the pacing took away from what could've been a more relaxed evening.

Bagatelle offers a great ambiance with a lively, upscale vibe and excellent drinks. The food was just as impressive, the truffle ravioli was absolutely amazing, rich and flavorful, and the meats were cooked to perfection. A fantastic spot for a fun night out with great food, drinks, and energy. Service was excellent, great experience overall.

From the service to the food our experience was by far the worst dining experience in Miami.

The portion sizes are generous as they let you know its family size. They have fresh tomatoes and a lemon with a knife at every table. Cut some tomatoes add some salt pepper a little olive oil w some balsamic and you have yourself a fantastic delight for the table. The escargot was by far sone of the best with the Parmesan they used. Fresh WARM bread is served through out your meal. The main courses were generously sized. The Star of the meal is by far the vanilla cheesecake. It's very light contrary to what you'd expect when you think cheesecake. It's so smooth on the palate w an amazing burst of vanilla. It's a MUST have when you eat here!

There was no clear communication at any point that these items would be charged. Based on how it was presented, it felt like these were gestures from the bar. However, when the bill was presented, those items were included, which created a very uncomfortable and confusing situation. The issue here is not about the amount, but about the lack of transparency. If items are being sent to a table, it should be made explicitly clear whether they are complimentary or will be included on the bill. Without that clarity, it feels misleading. At a restaurant of this caliber, clear communication should be a given, and unfortunately that was not the case here.

This Miami location is a 2-star restaurant which I personally think is overrated compared to the Tokyo location. It's not very hard to get a spot if you reserve ahead of time. It's located in design district of Miami. There's another Michelin 1-star restaurant located on first floor and Joel Robuchon is located on the second floor of the same building. We reserved bar sitting and was seated near the end corner of the bar. They have both set menu ($195 for 4 courses) or a la carte. We ordered a few dishes from the a la carte menu to share. We were firstly served with bread and a complimentary fois gras appetizer. Their bread is the best especially the smaller ones! We got refill for the small savory pastry. The free fois gras appetizer was a bit too greasy for me, nothing special. For sharing plates, we ordered fois gras with fig, veal sweetbread and hamachi. The fois gras dish was well-flavoured. The other dishes were ordinary. I was expecting the food to impress my taste buds more from a Michelin 2-star restaurant. For mains, we ordered the bison fillet Wellington, halibut and sole. Both fish dishes were amazing but I didn't like the flavour of the bison dish. This restaurant is clearly much better with seafood dishes than meat dishes. They provide us some dessert for both dine-in and takeout at the end, and they were all tasty. Overall, the service was attentive and the vibe was quiet here. However, for $200-$300 USD per person, the food is not up to standard comparing to other Michelin 2-star restaurant when I expect to be wowed by the cooking. It's not very good value for money.

I also had the French onion soup 5/5, probably the best ive ever had! incredible flavor profile perfectly balanced and salted. For entrees, my husband went with a oxtail with mash dish they had on special that day 1000/5, too bad eating with your hands and licking your plate is frowned upon lol - it deserved that! I had the Pan seared branzino 2/5 - now hear me out - it was five out of five in texture, soft and buttery, and presentation BUT it was cook with SO MUCH BUTTER, that the roof of my mouth & tongue were coated in it and I couldnt tastes anything else! It was so much butter that I felt my lips, tongue and throat irritated. Additionally, im not sure why they didn't pair this dish with a mash or a roasted potatoes, instead of only cooked down spinach. THE SERVICE: Reservations are strongly encouraged - so I made mine with Resy. Through Resy, I confirmed my reservation and had it all in text & email. Upon arrival, their system didnt pull it up. However, the manager (?) was kind, gentle and gracious, sat us at a table. Our waiter was fantastic! So charismatic, and was well versed on all the dishes and how they were made. I believe she said she's been with the team a few years now. From what I understand, a sister restaurant was just opened in Miami Beach, so I hope to be able to give that one a try aswell - maybe for my birthday in two weeks?
