We ended the night at a hip, diverse DJ-led hot spot, and we never moved! Dinner was very special, from the experience of someone hand cutting fresh herbs at the table to enjoy with our bread, to the pretty sorbet display for our birthday girl, this was one of our best dining experiences in South Florida over the last several years. My first Branzino Carpaccio experience won me over! Absolutely divine! I also appreciated the Tuna Crudo via the Seafood Tower served on top of a layer of avocado. Details matter. The Branzino entrée was also memorable -- crispy, and accompanied by a capers, tomato and garlic relish. I would also never skip the Fig Cheesecake. Pricey and worth it. Dinner for four was $1,200. I am deeply disappointed to write this review, especially as a returning customer who previously had a fantastic experience here with a large party. Based on that past visit, I confidently reserved a table two weeks in advance for a party of eight to celebrate my birthday. Unfortunately, the evening was an absolute logistical failure from start to finish.The breakdown began with seating. Despite our advanced reservation, the restaurant failed to accommodate us inside the main dining room. Instead, we were relegated to a high-traffic bar area, leaving our guests constantly jostled and bumped by other patrons for the latter half of the evening. The service from our waitress, Coralie, was practically nonexistent. The pacing of the evening was agonizingly slow; we were seated around 8:15 PM and not able to leave until around 11:15 ish.The delays were so severe that I was forced to physically go to the bar myself just to order a beverage. Furthermore, a friend had dropped off a birthday cake prior to the reservation, yet there was a complete lack of internal communication. When we questioned Coralie about the cake, she was entirely unhelpful, dismissive, and seemed completely unaware of its existence. While a manager did eventually step in to waive the cake fee and comp a round of drinks, these minor financial adjustments cannot undo the sour note left by a night of mismanagement. An establishment of this caliber should possess the basic communication and organizational skills to execute a standard group reservation. It is incredibly unfortunate that poor execution completely ruined my birthday celebration. I will not be returning. P.S The one positive was that the salmon was delicious. read more

My little sister wanted to go try some of Miami Spice menus of restaurants in Miami. After debating, we decided to go try Claudie restaurant. The interior of the restaurant is beautifully decorated, with the fountain in the restaurant. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. This seemed like an upscale restaurant so regardless of where you sit, you will be accommodated. We ordered some fresh oysters and three different selections for three people off the Miami Spice menu. Some were flat fee per person but most of the listed menu had additional charges. Some of the items were worth it while some can be found at other local spots where we dont have to try an hour down to Miami. The server was okay. The service was not up to restaurant's standard. One of the west coast oysters tasted brine-y and smelly. The east coast ones tasted okay. To me, they tasted about 2-3 days old kept inside fridge and freshly shucked when the order came in. They have extensive wine list and menu. If you are a fan of great wine and don't mind spending hundreds to thousands, this is the spot for you. We visited Claudie for their Mother's Day brunch, which was a prepaid fixed-menu event at $75 per person. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing from start to finish. When making our reservation, we specifically noted that although the reservation was for two adults and our toddler, we wanted a larger table and requested a high chair ahead of time. Our daughter is one year old, actively eating meals, and toddlers obviously need a bit more space -- especially in a tighter restaurant setting. When we arrived, they attempted to seat us at a very small table that clearly was not suitable for two adults, a toddler, and a high chair. We explained again that we had requested a larger table during the reservation process, so we ended up waiting another 20 minutes despite having a reservation. Then we were told there were no high chairs available. I honestly found that unacceptable for a Mother's Day brunch service at a restaurant welcoming families and accepting reservations with children. We explained that without a high chair, there was really no realistic way for us to enjoy a long brunch with a one-year-old comfortably. At that point, I politely asked if they could simply refund us and cover valet so we could leave, because staying no longer made sense. Initially, they refused, but after several conversations with staff and finally speaking with a manager, a high chair suddenly appeared a few minutes later -- which made the situation even more frustrating because clearly one was available. Once we finally sat down, the experience did not improve much. The service was extremely slow, and the entire brunch took about two and a half hours. The restaurant also felt hot and muggy the whole time. As for the food: it was okay, but definitely not worth the price point or the hype. The cocktails were underwhelming as well. For a $75 fixed Mother's Day menu, it would have been a nice touch to at least include a complimentary glass of champagne or a mimosa to make the experience feel more special. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and poorly managed. The food was mediocre, the service was frustratingly slow, and the lack of accommodation despite clear requests made ahead of time left a really bad impression. My husband chose Claudie to celebrate my birthday, and unfortunately it turned into one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. The only bright spot of the evening was our server, Violet, who was kind, professional, and attentive. She did her best in a very difficult situation. Everything else was disappointing. Most concerning was how my elderly mother-in-law, who has Parkinson's disease, was treated. She requires a medically necessary caregiver, who was on duty and accompanied her wearing her caregiver uniform. Management made the decision to send her caregiver away simply because of the uniform and made exceptions for others in the restaurant to not follow their dress code. My mother-in-law also uses a walker, and they would not allow her to bring her walker into the restaurant. The way the situation was handled by entire front staff and GM was humiliating, frustrating, and deeply upsetting. Turning away a medically necessary caregiver for a person with a disability raises serious concerns about accessibility and the rights of disabled patrons under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and applicable Florida disability protections. The food was equally disappointing. One steak was so tough it was difficult to chew, which took an unreasonably long time to cook. I ordered the gazpacho and only managed two bites before leaving the rest. The burrata salad consisted of just chopped tomatoes, and we barely touched it. The music was so loud you could barely hear yourself talking. Definitely not a family friendly place especially if you have children. To make matters worse, the female general manager was visibly talking down to staff throughout the evening and had an unpleasant attitude toward both employees and guests, including our table. She was also the person who made the decision regarding my mother-in-law's caregiver, which left us feeling unwelcome, disappointed, and embarrassed during what should have been a special family celebration. This was an incredibly disappointing birthday dinner. Between the poor management, subpar food, and what we experienced as insensitive treatment toward a disabled guest and her medically necessary caregiver, we will not be returning and cannot recommend this restaurant. Having dined at the other Rivera Dining groups (Casa Neos, Mila), I fully expected an amazing night with incredible cuisines. It is French-based and full of an incredible array of decorations and fine details to its restaurant inside. I mean, there's a freaking water fountain once you walk through the gates for Pete's sake! I can't get over how well everything was designed and pout together. The tables and chairs are all organized and stable. My only complaint would be that the tables are placed quite close to one another, and it is hard to chat and catchup without feeling like the patrons one table over are a part of the conversation. The food was delicious when we came through. The bread that is automatically served comes with fresh olive oil and sliced rosemary cut tableside for our indulgence. The lobster spaghetti was the same as the sister restaurants and nicely presented within a lobster sliced down the middle. The truffle risotto was scrumptious and prepared correctly. It was not too saucy and not too dry. The truffles were obviously a beautiful flavor to add to the dish. The mousse was a bit overpriced for what we received as it just tasted like melted chocolate with some chocolate sticks, however. The tuna tartare appetizer was good, yet we felt it was a bit small even for a starter. My rating also gets points added for the service. Our server Enrique rocked and I would definitely request him again. I really liked it! It was a vibe and reminded me of st tropez!!! it was everything I hoped for him more. I did hear some mixed reviews, but I figured with steak and potatoes you can't go wrong and I was right we had that Wagyu strip steak it's the truffle mashes potatoes are divine. The broccolini was yummy and the fries are perfectly skinny. It was just enough food for us two girls. I cannot forget to mention the Niciose salad. It was perfect crispy. Just the right amount of toppings and the dressing was light and flavorful. I was really blown away by it. The cocktails were next level. I visited Claudie twice in a span of a week, so I feel I can now write a fair review. The first time was on a Saturday night and we had a 9:30 PM reservation. When we arrived, were told to sit at the bar until our table was ready. The restaurant was clearly very busy and we did arrive a few minutes late. However, we waited at the bar for our table for over an hour which seemed excessive. The staff could clearly tell that we were displeased by the wait, but the hostesses weren't overly apologetic or accommodating. Thankfully, a manager noticed the situation and explained the cause of the delay. He was very apologetic and gave us a better table, gave me another glass of wine and sent an appetizer and dessert, both on the house. The appetizer he sent over was the YELLOWFIN TUNA TARTARE (I think), which was tasty but quite small. On second thought, it may have been an amuse-bouche and not an actual appetizer. We then shared the SPINACH & RICOTTA RAVIOLI, the ROASTED CHICKEN SUPREME, the TRUFFLE POMME PURÉE, and the ROASTED BRUSSELS SPROUTS. The food was just okay, but the brussels sprouts deserve an honorable mention. The dessert though...wow. It was spectacular. We had the FIG CHEESECAKE which is shaped like an actual fig. I thought the presentation was so special but the flavor was just as good. Claudie clearly knows what they're doing when it comes to dessert (more on that later). That first night, the service (aside from the hostesses) was good by Miami standards. Both our server and the manager made an effort to make up for the wait and it was appreciated. My second visit to Claudie was just a few days later on a Thursday night. That night my friends and I shared the BRANZINO CARPACCIO, the SALADE NIÇOISE, and the DOVER SOLE. Again, the food okay. But, this time for dessert we had both the GUANAJA 70% CHOCOLATE MOUSSE and the SICILIAN PISTACHIO ICE CREAM. Both were exceptional. Honestly, the dessert at Claudie is so good that it's worth going just for that. Yes, seriously. At first, I was a little concerned we wouldn't be able to see the band, but our server assured me that they move throughout the restaurant and she was right! We ended up enjoying the performance up close. The drinks were great, we ordered a bottle of wine, prosecco, and lychee martinis. Warm bread and olive oil were served after our drinks, which was a nice touch. The food was phenomenal! We ordered the loup de mer, lobster spaghetti, and skirt steak with pomme purée on the side. The lobster spaghetti was absolutely divine, rich, flavorful, and drenched in lobster bisque. For dessert, we had the crème brûlée, which was the perfect finish to our meal. Claudie in Brickell completely surprised me...in the best way possible. After seeing tons of hype and photos online, I honestly expected it to be one of those bougie Miami spots that's more about the scene than the food. But I was completely wrong. The food, vibe, and service were all on point and truly delivered. They make things convenient right from the start with valet parking right out front for $25, which is nice because parking around Brickell can be tough. Once inside, the space feels chic yet approachable, with a French-Mediterranean flair that comes through not only in the décor but in every detail of the menu. We started with a dish I thought was an Instagram cocktail but turned out to be a chilled tomato based soup..it was light, flavorful, and really refreshing. For my actual drink, I went with the Eau de Coco, a vodka based cocktail with coconut, passion fruit, and lavender. The tableside presentation adds to the experience, as they finish it off with a spray from an elegant fragrance bottle as a nod to Coco Chanel's legacy. Such a fun, unique touch, and you can eat the little circles that come on the glass of the drink kind of tasted a little like fruit roll up to me. They are strawberry flavor. For starters we went with the branzino carpaccio which blew me away..super fresh, with hint of lemon. For entree, we shared the black angus tenderloin, which was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the spinach and ricotta ravioli, which was also delicious and a perfect balance. For dessert we had the classic creme brûlée , which was perfectly done, alongside the tropézienne tart which was served with a bourbon vanilla cream filling on brioche, with a soft hint of orange that tied it all together beautifully. Claudie is more than just a pretty restaurant..it's a full dining experience with thoughtful details, excellent service, and seriously delicious food. Even the small details stand out here like the bathroom alone is worth a visit, beautifully designed and on theme with the rest of the restaurant. Not to mention the live music, and i was cold so they offered me a cute little scarf to keep me warm with the name Claudie sewed on it , ot was a great little souvenir and an unforgettable date night. On a Saturday night, I kept expecting the music to evolve or for live entertainment to begin, but it never did. The music made it difficult to enjoy the otherwise attractive setting. The food was equally disappointing. Nothing we ordered stood out or felt memorable, and the menu itself was surprisingly basic and limited. At this price point, I expected far more creativity than spinach and ricotta ravioli. The escargot was good, but I've had much better at numerous French restaurants. Since the pasta options didn't appeal to me, I ordered the $85 branzino. It was almost completely flavorless and was served without any sides. For an $85 entrée, I expected something exceptional, not a dish that was so underwhelming. In fact, there wasn't a single item we ordered that I would consider great, which is unacceptable given the premium pricing. The service was also disappointing. Our server essentially acted as an order taker who dropped off our food. She never checked on us after the meals arrived, and the level of service simply did not reflect the caliber or cost of the restaurant. Overall, I won't be returning. There are far better restaurants in this price range offering superior food, service, and atmosphere. The space is beautiful and the "outside" area is cute with the roof open. We tried oysters, escargot (delicious), a crudo, the fried artichoke, and a steak with fries (well prepared). The prices were high but that's to be expected. What annoyed me when we paid is the server tried to get additional fulltip over the 20% that's automatically included at miami restaurants - we know how the system works, don't try to trick us. Beautiful night at Claudie for Valentine's Day. Lia was very attentive and helpful with the service. Melody, our sommelier, was very friendly and helpful as well. The whole menu was very thoughtfully put together and had just the perfect amount of delicious food, with the lobster pasta being the standout. It was a nice touch to give roses to guests for the holiday. I will say one thing that was a little annoying and also just made a less good first impression was that they sent us to the bar to wait when we first arrived, even though we had a reservation. We weren't seated until 30 minutes after our reservation and that was maybe even only because we checked in with them more than once for an update. I could see how this could be a fun little start to the evening to take in the ambiance with a drink and the bartenders are fun and I loved the cocktails. But it was a little tight with the bar being right behind other tables and there were no chairs so I didn't love standing in my heels for that long. Also, based on reading other reviews flagging this practice, this just made me think they were trying to get us to buy more drinks. If you're a tourist coming here for Miami vibes and want a night out to see and be seen, this might be your spot. On the other hand, if you're looking for a great meal, there are other places around that might offer better. We ordered a salmon, steak tartare a burrata salad and a Boston Lettuce Heart salad. The burrata salad was solid. It was fresh and enough to share between 2-3 people. The guests eating salmon liked it, but the other meals weren't as good. The Boston Lettuce Heart I was told had no flavor. We sat outside and they had live music, it was a great vibe but it was hot without much breeze. We were being eaten alive by mosquitos under the table. The bar looked nice if you wanted to stop here for a quick drink or two, though. One thing to note, they removed our dinner plates as we finished our food. So the fast eaters had no plates while the slow ones were still eating. It's poor etiquette to be removing plates before all the diners are completed with their meals, so another star deducted for them seemingly not knowing that. read more

I recently visited with a few friends before heading over to Kaseya center for a concert. They had a live band/singer that night who went around the restaurant which was nice, but I do agree with other reviews that it is quite loud in here. We all ordered apps/entrees to share and everything tasted pretty good. The pricing compared to the portion sizes did still leave a lot to be desired. On Thursday night got a reservation for 7 to celebrate a Birthday. The location of the first table was under the A/C vent and it was dripping water due to condensation as doors to the terrace were open. They moved us outside, ok. The service was veery slow, the group spent 4 hrs on a dinner. We were doing the pre set summer menu which is honestly a good deal, food is tasty, well cooked and presented, the portions are enough for 1 person and some could be shared. Drinks were ok but feel them overpriced. Of course outside under warmer conditions a drink will melt faster and dilute flavors/presentation, but still nothing special. Service was nothing exceptional just ok. There were two people with food allergies (lactose, gluten and white fish) but noticed a lack of staff's knowledge on the menu ingredients to better guide us. Came here back in September for my birthday dinner and to enjoy Miami spice. Overall the food was very good, beautiful ambiance and the servers were mostly attentive. They could improve a little on checking back at the table to make sure we didn't need anything as if they had checked on us we probably would have ordered more wine and some additional items. Menu is a little pricey for the overall portions and quality but not too bad. The best part of my meal was the gazpacho. The only thing that we were a little surprised by was the price of their feature dessert (at the time) the pistachio ice cream which was hyped up to my friends and ended up coming out to over $50 (again portion wasn't amazing) but price also wasn't shared and we were a little confused. Had to experience this place as one of the Riviera Dining Group locations, and it didn't disappoint. The vibe was very Miami--beautiful crowd, loud music, and familiar food choices. Not a bad thing, just no major wow factor on the menu. If you've been to Casa Neos, you'll notice the similarities in dishes. Of all their spots, AVA remains my favorite. The live performance was great and kept the energy high. It was super crowded, and with the bar in the middle of the dining area, everyone felt it--they should definitely separate that space. Food was solid. Great atmosphere for a night out with friends, but I wouldn't pick it for a quiet romantic dinner. Bathroom selfie is a must, and if you want a bit more peace while waiting, head inside. read more

Location and food were great. We did have a large group and with a reservation and we were sat outside on a very hot night. They did provide fans which helped but I asked for inside and they would not accommodate. Suggest going on a cooler night since there are no guarantees on where you will be seated. read more
