Located inside the Gale Hotel and Residences, this is a very nice looking restaurant. It has indoor and outdoor seating. While I did not dine in, I sat at the bar several times and visited the attached cafe. The drinks were good and service was friendly. Coffee was hit or miss at the cafe, but still nice for grabbing a snack when in need.

Casa Gianna is located in the heart of Miami Worldcenter right next to the train tracks and by the "Welcome to Miami Worldcenter" art mural. The restaurant is inside the Gale Miami Hotel & Residence. We entered through the patio area so we didn't walk through the hotel. The ambiance on the outdoor patio is gorgeous with a spacious area filled with plenty of patio seating magical lighting, floral wall decor, heat lamps and huge umbrellas. Magical space. When you walk inside, it's filled with warm lighting, booths & tables, tall ceilings, open kitchen concept and a nice open area. We were sat in a beautiful half round booth with plenty of space to seat 4-6 guests easy. Our server was Jason who was very chill, composed, attentive and professional. EVERYTHING WE ORDERED: * Espresso Martini Italiano $20 * Giardino Fresco (cucumber cocktail) $18 * Polipo (grilled octopus) $29 * Fagotelli (short rib filled pasta) $36 * Branzino Alla Puttanesca $46 * Roasted Orange Glaze Carrots $12 * Panna Cotta $14 * Lemon Pistachio $14 We originally ordered the Pistachio Crusted Colorado Lamb Chops but they ran out. We opted for the Pappardelle Alla Rosa De Ricotta which sounded delicious with a white truffle cream and lemon pistachio ricotta. Jason eventually came back to the table with a menu to let us know they unfortunately ran out of the Pappardelle as well. So comical at this point. Ended up getting the Fagotelli which was a super fancy pasta with a short rib filling. Crossed our fingers they wouldn't run out of this too. Our drinks were beautifully crafted and on point. Espresso Martini foam was incredibly fluffy, drink was smooth. The Giardino Fresco cucumber cocktail was refreshing. The Polipo grilled octopus was so dang good with a nice citrus vinaigrette, loved the shaved fennel texture. The Fagotelli short rib filled pasta was rich and smooth, one was enough for me. The shaved truffle was a nice touch. Truffle anything is always a good idea. Branzino could have been better. Did not love the confit pomodoro sauce, didn't compliment the branzino. Wish it had a light citrus sauce instead, the citrus vinaigrette from the grilled octopus dish would have been perfect for the branzino. Fish was also a bit dry, wish it was juicier and not as overcooked. For dessert, we opted for the Panna Cotta and considered the Lemon Pistachio too. Jason brought out the Panna Cotta with a candle and happy birthday chocolate sign. He also brought us the Lemon Pistachio as a complimentary extra dessert since we were eyeing this anyway. Very nice gesture. Funny enough, I really loved the flavors and textures of the Lemon Pistachio more so than the Panna Cotta. The Panna Cotta was too firm and just meh in comparison. All in all, we had a lovely dinner experience and it was a wonderful way to celebrate my birthday. Hubby did good. Loved the ambiance, service was wonderful and food & drinks were fabulous! Nice authentic Italian spot in Downtown Miami. Casa Gianna has a Happy Hour at the bar seating area only on Mon-Thu @ 4-7pm and Fri @ 4-6pm. The HH includes small bites for $9-15 and beer, wine & cocktails for $5-10.

The place is super cute and all the food looks beautiful, but it's not good. The service was terrible. The waiters were kind but it felt like they forgot about us a lot and literally the restaurant was far from busy. The salmon crudo was terrible. I was expecting sushi grade salmon but instead it was smoked salmon, which is fine, however nowhere on the menu does it address the type of salmon they use so I think they should include that part. Secondly, the dish was way too salty and none of the flavors meshed well together. The sauce was way too thick and the orange pieces were not enough, it was the only lightness in the dish. Do not recommended. The beet salad was the only good dish, but that's a stretch. My friend and I shared the salad and the beets were cut up way too small so it was hard to eat with a fork. Also the feta foam on top did not mesh well with the flavor of the beets. Lastly I was so excited for the spicy rigatoni vodka pasta, but it wasn't great. I got mine with chicken and I swear the chicken was FAKE!! It was so rubbery and just looked fake. The pasta sauce also tasted super off. Overall the food tasted fake and I was very unhappy.

It's a very nice Italian restaurant in the heart of Downtown Miami. The food was good, also the atmosphere was good; very calm, no loud music and the service was good as well; the waitress had a lot of knowledge of the menu and recommended some dishes. The cocktails were good. There's outdoors area in this restaurant. The parking might be difficult.

I have been excited to try this place since its new to the downtown neighborhood. It has a charming patio with a lot of seating, an outdoor bar, and inside seating. We chose outside because of the cool weather. We started off with the meatballs, which were dry. I wish we would've done a salad instead. We also didn't get any bread until we asked for it (I feel like you should just bring it out). Our waiter/bartender was super nice and created a mocktail for me despite none on the menu. I'm very thankful they did as we're participating in dry January. As for the spicy rigatoni, it was the second best part of our meal. The flavor and portions are great! I have to say the best part was the tiramisu. Wow! It was perfectly made and had a beautiful presentation. I will definitely come back for these two items!

I came to Casa Gianna for a birthday dinner and we were a large party (20 ppl) so I really kept my expectations fairly low because I know large parties tend to always get the short end of the stick when it comes to service and food quality. And though I am pleased to say that the service was great, kudos to Mary because she did a phenomenal job handling such a large group; the food left a lot to be desired. Just about everyone in my party was disappointed with their food. We all agreed that the food lacked flavor, complexity, and seasoning. I felt like I was eating pasta at Olive Garden and not an upscale restaurant. Additionally, we did not find out until we arrived at the restaurant that there was a $5 per person cake cutting fee, so my friend did not even get to cut her cake because it would have been $100 to do so, which is outrageous, considering how much money we spent on the lackluster food. Overall, I was not impressed with this restaurant and definitely would not return.

I would give it a 3.5. It is nice and clean. A nice bar area that is inside and outside. The staff was friendly and helpful. The meatball was good but there are other places that have better meatballs. Spicy rigatoni is good as well but leaves more to be desired, other places are better. Chicken parm was good but it took a really time to come out. I finished my pasta and everyone else finished their plate and it still hadn't arrived. Desserts took long too. I would eat here again but wouldn't be my first choice. Would like to try other dishes to see how they fair.

Conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Miami, Casa Gianna is definitely shaping up to be one of my new go-to spots. I stopped by for a quick lunch just to try it out, and it did not disappoint. The service was warm and attentive, and the ambiance was fabulous--stylish without feeling overdone, with just the right energy for a casual yet elevated meal. The menu looks promising, and I'm already looking forward to coming back to try more dishes. A solid addition to the downtown dining scene. If you're in the area, I'd absolutely recommend giving it a try!

I'm always happy to see and eager to try new restaurants, coffeeshops and bars opening in the neighborhood. A few days ago while wandering around the neighborhood, I noticed Casa Gianna had open a take out cafe next door to their restaurant, called Cafe Gianna, and I couldn't resist to try their coffee. It was a warm afternoon so I went for an iced americano. When I got the receipt, I saw an automatic 15% service charge. While I was not ok with it, just paid and moved on. It's now the time to taste the coffee. It tasted like when you have iced coffee and all the ice melts down, that taste of water-down coffee. At this point, I had to say something, frustration was building up. The server didn't offer resistance when I approached her, which I appreciated, and she quickly added another shot of coffee. After rectifying it, it tasted good. Once I fast-forward reviewed what it happened, I noticed they didn't add ice but cold water, so it is technically like all the ice melted down, that's the reason it tasted like water down, or when you have iced coffee and all the ice has melted down. If you are serving an americano with cold water instead of water and ice cubes, you need to use a smaller cup so you add smaller amount of water, or simply do a 3 shots of coffee instead of 2. I'm not sure how they don't know this. I would like to return, but with the couple of things that went wrong with a simple Americano, I'm not so sure, I would.

So I went to Casa Gianna this past Friday, July 18, and honestly? I didn't expect to walk out raving about it--but here we are. First of all, shoutout to the waiter, who was an absolute gem. From the moment we sat down, he made us feel welcome, gave great recommendations, and had that rare combo of being attentive without hovering. Major bonus points for that. I ordered a Hugo Spritz for the first time ever, and I was a little unsure if I'd like it (I mean, elderflower? Come on). But he told me, "If you don't like it, I'll switch it for something else--no problem." Like--what?? Service like that is almost extinct these days. Now let's talk about the food: legit delicious. Everything we ordered hit the mark. But the biggest surprise? The pizza. Usually, when a restaurant tries to do it all, the pizza's the first thing to suffer. Not here. The crust was thin and crispy, the ingredients were fresh, and the flavor? Chef's kiss. It didn't taste like it was trying too hard--it was just good. Overall, Casa Gianna gave cozy vibes with quality food and five-star service. I came in just looking to have a decent dinner, and left thinking, "Okay, I'd totally come back." Highly recommend if you're in the mood for something comforting but elevated.

The restaurant is located inside the hotel. If you are staying at the hotel and you get breakfast included, you only have one item to choose for for free. The only item to choose from them is the platter. Otherwise, you have to pay. When I had the young lady for service as a waitress, she was phenomenal. But I noticed that when I had her, I always got two pieces of pork sausage. When I had one gentleman, a tall male, it only came with one sausage. When I asked him, he got an attitude. He left my water empty for more than 10 minutes. He kept walking past me. The next day when I went to be seated for my breakfast that included with my room. I told the ladies upfront that I did not want that gentleman. The ladies who walk you to your table are very kind. I did speak to the manager in regards to the gentleman who was very rude as a waiter. They must have different chefs on different days because I like my eggs over easy and two out of the four days that I had the platter there was never enough potatoes for my eggs over easy. It's a nice place inside of the hotel. The bar looks nice also. They have different times on different days for happy hour.

It was a bakery for many, many years, even after I left Miami Beach, when I'd come visit, I made sure to get a pastelito de carne with an orange juice and then one day; the bakery was gone and Pane e Vino was here in its place. As illogical as it may be, I held resentment towards Pane e Vino because of this. I'd grumble and scowl when I'd walk by until one day I saw a man making fresh pasta at the window. Yes, this piqued my interest. I then looked at the menu, and I saw a lot of wonderful variety, but mostly that their pasta is made fresh so it occurred to me that in this instance perhaps one legendary establishment can become another one in this place, and I decided I needed to give this restaurant a chance. I have some friends who join me often when I go to Miami Beach and so we ordered a bunch of dishes to share. I'm really glad we had our waitress Pilar steer us in the right direction. I love truffle anything and she highly recommended the truffle arancini. I'm soooo glad we got it, and that was probably one of my favorite things to eat ever. I have never had such creamy polenta in my life. the truffle and cheese in this was enough to almost bring me to tears. This is how great food is done. Even the salad and the simple dressing was amazing, really fresh and delicious. We tried three different pasta dishes, but my favorite without a doubt was the lamb ragu. This dish was everything. The lamb was so tender and flavorful. You know that lamb will sometimes have a gamey flavor? Not this dish. My second favorite pasta dish was the truffle ravioli. It's not like a truffle infused oil or salt they used, its actual shaved truffle, so delicious. The bread, the good quality olive oil, everything was fantastic. Even though my beloved bakery belongs to the past; in its place is now another magnificent establishment that I will look forward to visiting whenever I'm in Miami Beach.

You never want to feel bloated in Miami. We ate until we were full and were still able to wander around. The highlights of our meal were the ravioli, the carpaccios and the tiramisu. 10/10 presentation on the tiramisu. The service was impeccable! If I go back to Miami, I will absolutely be back!

THE FOOD The food itself wasn't the problem- the value was. Charging nearly $200 for a 2.5-pound lobster and serving what appeared to be no more than 10 ounces of meat is unacceptable. I've ordered lobster countless times, and this was nowhere close to what should come from a lobster of that size. It honestly felt like a bait-and-switch. At Carbone's prices and reputation, I expected transparency and quality, not to leave wondering if I had just paid hundreds of dollars for an empty shell. It completely overshadowed the rest of the meal and left a terrible impression. THE SERVICE Our wait staff was excellent- friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the evening. When I raised my concern about the lobster, however, there wasn't a meaningful solution offered. The manager did bring out complimentary meatballs and two slices of cake, which was appreciated, but it didn't address the actual issue. I requested the veal entrée (about $125) as a gesture of goodwill, but that request was denied. I left feeling that my concerns were acknowledged but not truly resolved. THE VIBE The ambiance is everything you'd expect from Carbone- stylish, energetic, and full of old-school charm. It's a beautiful restaurant with a lively atmosphere, making it a great place for a special occasion. Ultimately, the atmosphere and attentive wait staff weren't enough to make up for what felt like poor value and an unsatisfactory resolution to a legitimate concern. At this level of dining, guests should leave feeling impressed--not questioning whether they received what they paid for. Our total bill was close to $1000. UNACCEPTABLE.
