I have tried a few locations in the Everett area and Pasteur's is by far superior to others in terms of taste and offerings. I had the Chao Long, a specialty rice porridge with innards and a Chinese donut (they call them baked bread sticks here). Very satisfying meal however I feel that it can be made even better with an addition of ginger and more (or larger) pork blood cubes. $8.95 Another thing I really enjoyed here: The appetizer grilled pork (sausage style) spring rolls. The pair of these babies are the so yummy! The rice paper is warm and chewy with an interesting mix of a crunchy thin egg roll stick, lettuce, and the lightly browned, pink pork sausage. If you are to order anything, get this! $3.95 On my second visit, I ordered their supreme baked fish special (3S on the menu called Whole Baked Catfish). This order requires at least a 2 hour prep time so I had to call in advance. Just imagine a prepared roast pork and its crispy skin but instead with a fish. I couldn't believe when the fish came out, so soft, tender and with the thin, crunchy skin just melts and cracks in your mouth. This huge fish portion is accompanied by rice paper and a host of veggies for you to wrap up and dip in the shrimp paste sauce. The fish was large and can feed about 3 people. **$50 for this special, be prepared for a varied price based on the size of the fish. A few things to note: they have a sticking front door that is hard to open and should be fixed. Also, a door chime should be installed so that the wait staff can be alerted when customers enter as the fish tank blocks the view of the entrance. When I am up north, I am sure to stop by this place again for an Asian fix. read more

Eat here two or three times a week everything we've tried on the menu is excellent. You know when your Vietnamese friend you work with wants to go eat here all the time that it's good . It's a family owned Vietnamese restaurant that's located in sort of a sketchy strip mall near a pawnshop and the bus line But don't let that fool you the food is worth every penny you pay. The veggie pho is the best by far! So many fresh veggies with the option of 4 broth choices: veggie, pork, beef, or chicken. Loaded with broccoli, tofu, carrots, bok choy, mushrooms and cilantro. It takes a lot for me to bother writing a review. The food has to either be so bad it's noteworthy, or so good I'd take time to give them a shout out. Pasteur Noodle has the best Banh mi I've ever had. The bread wasn't dry, the meat was perfectly cooked and was perfectly seasoned, and the veggie:meat ratio was spot on. On top of that, I didn't even eat it fresh. I ordered take out, had to drive out to get it, and by the time I made it home, the banh mi had probably been sitting for close to 30-45 minutes, and still was incredible. I got mine with pork and a fried egg. Would give more stars if that was an option. Give this place your business, it's worth it, even if it's a bit of a drive. read more

Wow, I'm floored by the only 3.5* average ratings! Just tried them my first time. Ordered delivery, 15 mins away. The food was ready faster than anticipated. Broth was totally clear, flavorful, fragrant - lots of fresh crisp basil and veg sent with it - and the meatballs were some of the best I've had! I'm not easy to please when it comes to pho broth, and I am so so excited to have found this spot. Looking forward to eating here again soon, heard the bahn mis are great. This place is close to work and my Vietnamese co-worker recommended. I wish I had the same enthusiasm for this place as she does. I ordered my standard pho. I'm not particularly impressed. The broth was a bit better than ok, but not notable. However, the meat? Yuck. Flavorless, tough, boring. The noodles were sticky. I hate using disposable wooden chopsticks. I stopped in for a sandwich with my daughter. It was pretty busy for a random Monday dinner. I order the spring rolls to start. They were yummy! Their sauce had more of a soy sauce base than the usual peanut. It was a nice change. The pork Banh Mi was really good. I felt like it could have used more sauce but I enjoyed it. I ordered my daughter the children's pho. It was a very large serving and came with option of a glass of milk or soda. Total our bill was $19. Totally worth it! We got to try a little bit of everything off the menu. Next time I want to try the chicken fried rice. read more

I've ordered from here several times and been pleased with the chicken Pho, but tonight's order was less than. I ordered to go, and live about 5 minutes away. I went to put the dish together, and it was all cold!!! Every other time the soup has been steaming hot. Having to put in the microwave for 3+ minutes was irritating. Pasteurs is still one of the best, if not the best VN restaurants around for many years now. Tracy and Tom keep it real. They're good chefs and businesspeople. They have all the regular traditional stuff; large selection of pho, rice dishes, noodle dishes - like that. They also have a good selection of specialty items. One real treat is that they make their own VNs red savory, slightly sweet, pork sausage from scratch and it shows. It's a bit like Philippine Longanisa sausage, except tastier, and not as sweet. Anyway you can enjoy the sausage in one of their Bahn Mi sandwiches, or in a rice paper wrap appetizer. Both the sandwich and appetizer are great, but the appetizer really hits it. It has all the multi textures that can characterize VN food - the smooth rice paper, the thick course sausage, the crisp fresh lettuce, julienne carrots, bell pepper spears, and crunchy center of a thin tight roll of fried rice paper in the center. Another great one is their Hue style beef and pork soup, Bun Bo Hue. Some specialty items have dropped off in the past year or so, but there's a good selection. read more

This is a great find for soup in the north end. Their pho broth is excellent and they have oxtail soup too, and at a decent price. They're dishes are pretty authentic. The Vietnamese style crepes are one of my favorites around, not greasy like some other places and you get a ton of veggies to wrap them in as well. Everyone working there is super nice and hospitable, check them out. The only downside is the location, lots of transient activity in the area. The pho machine never stops. And by that I mean that Pasteur's is a finely-tuned machine of Vietnamese noodle soup. This place cranks out the good stuff. They're not messing around. They have a pretty good location--busy streets for visibility, plenty of parking, easy to find. It's not such a great location in terms of the setting; there's a lot of dragginess to many of the neighborhood businesses, but Pasteur's is nice inside. Clean, well-run, with a very pleasant staff. Today it was particularly busy. The cashier said there was some Boeing family something-or-other that brought in a ton of people. You could hear the clatter of bustubs, dishwashers, ladles, cash registers, and hustling feet fairly well continually during the 30 or so minutes I was here. They handled the crush very well, and it makes me want to come back when they're not so busy--if they're this nice, this organized, and turning out food this good when they're overwhelmed, then they must be pretty spectacular when things are slow. They had all kinds of people in here today; multi-generational families who clearly eat pho all the time and come here regularly, along with curiosity-seekers who just found themselves swept in with the current exiting the Boeing thing. Everybody seemed to be enjoying their meals. You can just kind of tell that people like eating here, even before you start thinking about what it might be that gave you that impression--the menu is well put-together, and the photo cards with different dishes all convey a positive impact. You can tell they're confident in their banh mi; they've paid for professional signs and done lots of stuff with photos around the restaurant to remind you that you like sandwiches, and just because you can't pronounce "banh mi" yet doesn't mean you're not gonna flip out and love these sandwiches as soon as you finally try them. I personally still haven't had Pasteur's banh mi, but I love that they're out here proselytizing. The fresh rolls had tons of good flavor, weren't ridiculously large, and had awesome texture. The hot milk coffee comes out in a dignified-looking shallow ceramic cup with straight sides, rather than in a water glass with a rinky-dink little tin press on top. Very nice change of pace. Great flavor and creaminess to the coffee. The pho was nice. Very dark broth, but clear. A little on the salty side, but pleasantly pungent and a bit earthy. Heaps and heaps of vermicelli. Nice flank and brisket. Not a lot of vegetables in the bowl, but the condiments were all fresh and flavorful, especially the mammoth sprig of basil. I'm still full an hour and a half later. Technically, this one's a little far from my house to warrant multiple repeat visits, but it's certainly good enough to justify coming back again and again when I am in the area. read more

I used to go to Pasteur's when I was little every now and than, which means they've been around forever! It's a decent Vietnamese restaurant, it's no Tamarind Tree but they have some pretty good food here. The Banh Mi is good and so are the hot noodle dishes (pho, bun, etc..) I really like the bun combo bowls, especially the house special bun combo. The meat is just perfectly grilled and it's quite refreshing with all the greens. The nuoc mam is a bit sweet for my liking but its not bad. The egg rolls are okay nothing special and the spring rolls have too much vermicelli. I swear once you've had a spring roll from Tamarind Tree nothing compares. The Che Ba Mau (Vietnamese Bean Dessert) here sucks but it's kinda hard to find a good one. Overall decent food for the North end. The service is okay, nothing special. I'm sure ill be back when the occasion calls but I don't crave it like I do other Vietnamese places in Seattle. read more

This place must do something right because it's always packed. I've been coming here for about 7-8 years now and it's still packed. I think they recognize me because any issues I had with service seemed to have disappeared. After being greeted by the ginormous fish in the aquarium by the door, I was quickly seated...even though they had to clean a table for me. My steaming bowl of pho came quickly to the table, accompanied by fresh sprouts, basil and a few slices of jalapeno. A couple squirts of rooster and I was hooving. I started the day with a small bowl of pho, I believe it was a #7? or #7a? Anyways, on top of that bowl my husband and I shared a Vietnamese Sandwich. Ending my meal feeling full and very impressed on how the broth tastes. The buns they use for their banh mi were soft yet crunchy, it wasn't hard to chew at all! Terrible service. Its a shame that the food is good because the fat guy that was serving us has the worst attitude i have ever seen. He even charged $1 extra for more bean sprouts, which has never happened before in my numerous visits there. Dont waste your time eating decent pho and go somewhere else. OMG!!!! They do not sanitize at all! I was there today with my kids. My kids loves their food but we just find out. They used a plastic covered menu over and over and do not clean it after use and even the lady worker was not wearing a mask. They don't wear groves. I'm not a huge Pho fan, but I was taken here by a friend of Vietnamese nationality who loved the place. I wasn't blown away by any means, but the Pho was tasty and the broth had very nice flavor. I had the Banh Mi and the beef was really tender and "meaty" tasting. I know that is a strange way to describe beef, but it had a very robust flavor. Service was decent but not anything special. Food was little more expensive then what I was used to for Pho, but the additional price was worth it for the quality of the food. read more

This is probably my favorite pho place in the Lynnwood/Everett area. I don't think there are many good ones around here (I prefer Seattle). My mom brings home pho from here to go often, and man it tastes pretty good! The broth is tasty and the meat is nice and tender. I have also eaten here three times at the restaurant. The Bun Bo Hue was pretty good, nothing to complain about, but not the best. It's nice that they have that option though as some pho places don't. I also feel like the pho tastes better when brought home to go rather than at the restaurant, not sure why, but it is something I've personally noticed.
