(gotta climb in the Wayback Machine for that gem!) I loved that I saw at least six versions of my childhood dining room table, which felt so nostalgically comfortable that I wanted to crawl under one with my coloring books and my chocolate milk. But I digress -- you're supposed to be reading my review. I decided that I was in the mood for grilled cheese and tomato soup, so that's what I ordered. The tomato soup is really amazing -- so fresh tasting and delicious. But the sandwich was next level nom-ness. I opted to get it on sourdough because it's the best for dunking into the soup. Totes 'lish (I just thought I would type like one of the cool kids!! In conclusion, I want to talk about the service -- ordering was fairly simple, and the varied menu made it exciting to know there are so many choices. You order in line and the incredible wait staff brings the food quite quickly. With the vibe, the service and all the things, I am definitely coming back.

It definitely worked on me - usually specials are relegated to a small corner of the menu, but here they are front and center. I couldn't resist and so I got the Pot Roast Dip. It's a sandwich that has a good amount of pot roast, some bacon jam that's glued together with provolone and Swiss cheese all on a Giuseppe roll (From Macrina Bakery? It's a crust roll). The bacon jam and sandwich dressing makes the sandwich really sweet, but the Angus sauce is very salty, and so when the sandwich is dipped it all balances out interestingly enough. It was good to try, but I think I'll order something else next time. I also got a Mocha latte- very smooth and delicious. I would get this again! Their bathrooms are shared with the rest of the building - the code is at the cashiers. The wifi password is right next to it too. You grab a menu, wait in line to order, and then they bring your food to you. Bus your own table when you're done. Solid spot.

Our dining experience began with cold appetizers, including a mixed black fungus dish with a satisfying crunch and tangy vinegar flavor, alongside pickled lotus root vegetables with a garlicky and subtly spicy taste. For our main courses, we opted for the Deep Fried Fish Szechuan Style, which was filled with cod fish, had a lighter batter coating, and a pleasing crunch, but beware of its savory and fiery flavor, which intensifies after several bites. We also selected the Szechuan Hometown Tofu, which offered our taste buds a savory flavor, enhanced by chili sauce, a crunchy exterior, and a soft, silky interior. On the side, we ordered a bowl of steamed purple rice and white rice. This exceptional culinary experience combines the perfect balance of crunchiness, chili spice, garlicky freshness, and sweetness, rich flavors of Szechuan cuisine. I highly recommend this restaurant for an authentic Szechuan-style dining experience.

It is a huge portion but it is completely devoid of any flavor whatsoever. Usually onions add something but that did not help. I don't know how you can mess up noodles but no one in my family would eat them and there is one person in my family that will manage to eat almost anything and they refused. The sweet and sour chicken was drowning in sauce even though we asked more than once for the sauce to be on the side. We liked the bell peppers and onions in the sauce. The chicken pieces were of decent size. I did not care for the sauce. The white rice was well made and fluffy. The rice was probably the best part of the dish. About an hour later, we ended up throwing up the food. A complete waste of $31 dollars (which is pricey for what was supposed to be a lunch special). Also, vegetable chow mein and chicken chow mein is the same price which we found out after we had paid. Lunch is pictured and mention to include soup BUT you only get soup if you dine in. The place looked clean the the people seemed friendly. We may give them one more chance bc of the friendly service.

I am so happy they stuck to bistro quality food. We ordered salmon and steak and both were cooked perfect. The chimi cajun sauce on my salmon was great. The service was amazing considering they had just lost a few staff and only two gals served the whole full restaurant including the bar drinks. No one felt they got inferior service and our service was great. Buck's has a really nice lodge bar/bistro ambience. They have good music on Thursday nights.

The poor server was solo and slammed, but she did get some help partway through. They've got a good selection of beer on tap, but I thought the cocktails were overpriced--nothing really stood out. I'd rather spend $16 on a craft cocktail at Colby Club. The food wasn't great. We got the calamari and it was bad--cold and honestly just bland. We also ordered the beer-battered halibut. It was okay, but a bit overcooked, and it came with fries... maybe 25 total for a 3-piece fish plate. Our bill was around $65 for two beers (with the $2 off Thursday special), the calamari, and the 3-piece halibut. Just overpriced for what it was. The place itself is cute, and they had acoustic music going, which was nice. The staff was friendly and really hustling with how busy it was. Overall, though, I didn't feel like it was worth it and probably wouldn't go back. I wish we could do .5 stars. I struggled between 2 & 3. I ended with 3 for the venue, live music (she was really good) and the awesome staff.

The food just wasn't what it should've been or what it was the last time I was there a year ago. We ordered pad Thai and drunken noodles and the almost always delicious mango and sticky rice. The noodles in the pad Thai were very rubbery and very difficult to cut with a fork. And equally difficult to chew because they were so rubbery, the flavor of the dish was pleasant, although it was a little tangy/tart. The mango and sticky rice was the big disappointment because it's a $12 dessert. The mango was rockhard and very very sour. The mango was too hard to cut with a fork, in fact we didn't even eat it. We left most of it on the plate and just nibbled at the rice w sauce. Our server was very pleasant and sweet, but he did not speak much English and I didn't feel like I could communicate my disappointment on the mango and sticky rice, at least to him, and have him understand what I was saying so I didn't say anything. This visit probably was just a fluke, (but an expensive one, when the tip and tax were calculated) it was quite a disappointment given how good our prior visit was.
