My dad was in town and he loves Chinese food so Jade Garden it was for our dinner meet. Free street parking can be found. Jade Garden has a lounge but it was dark and disorganized on our visit so we sat in the empty dining room. Large parties can be accommodated. Round dining tables encourage all to participate in conversations. Lunch menu is offered daily, from 11:00am-3:00pm (closed Tuesday's). Jade Garden offers a full bar. While looking over the menu, I sipped on a glass of Chardonnay for $8. We shared an order of BBQ Pork (12pc) for $13.95. My dad ordered the House Special Chow Mein with Shrimp for $22.95. My daughter ordered hot pot Shrimp with Vermicelli & Vegetables for $21. I ordered Kung Pao Prawns for $21. We all shared an order of Sauteed Dried String Beans for $16.95. Portions seemed small, especially the Chow Mein and Green Beans compared to other Chinese restaurants. Food was good. Staff was friendly. I plan on take-out the next time. The entirely empty and quiet restaurant felt extremely awkward and uncomfortable to me. The dark lounge was odd. Been here frequently for years with family. This is the IT SPOT for us and it never fails. We always come here on Sundays and it's always packed and there's always a line. We always get our regular spread. My favorite is definitely the chicken feet and the cow stomach super delicious and I highly recommend checking it out if you want real dim sum. We ordered a delivery on a cold night. We ordered the shu mai, shrimp har gow, and the dinner combo. The dinner combo included almond chicken, chow mein , a beef with veggie stir fry and egg rolls. The shu mai is huge! Worth the price, I'm not sure if they grind their own pork but there were a couple fat pieces in the filing, which we didn't mind. The har gow were also very good. The combo dinner hit the spot. I had been craving noodles and American style Chinese. The almond chicken hit the spot. We enjoyed that the beef veggie stir fry had snap peas and water chestnuts! Despite some of the negative reviews, I still decided to give it a try. They were a little bit backed up (one front of house and one cook), but the food came out at decent times considering we ordered quite a bit. From the time we sat down til the time we left, it was a total of 1 hour and 20 minutes (average dine time). Everything we ordered was delicious! Seafood and tofu soup: 10/10 no additional sauce needed besides chili oil if you want it spicy and black pepper. Phoenix claws: 8/10 A little different from others, but was still good. It's not overly soggy and still had some chewy cartilage texture to it. (Yum) Soup dumplings: 9/10 Delicious and still had soup in it. I wish it was served with black vinegar and ginger, but soy sauce and chili oil will do. Beef and tomato chow mein: 8/10 not your typical chow mein, but more of noodles with tomato and beef gravy. 1/2 roasted duck: 8/10 good, but portion size was small. I feel like the duck that was served was smaller than your average duck. It was the same size as a game hen. Overall, the food was great. We plan on visiting again in the future. I have decided to make this my go-to Chinese restaurant -- why?? because service, hospitality and general ambiance. Every time I dine here, I get it all. There's just something about the overall friendly vibe that makes me feel like I've entered Cheers. I love the dim sum choices, as well as standard Chinese stuff. Their Chow Mein is stellar, as is their sticky rice dim sum item. The sticky rice is so filling, with the wonderful meat that's inside a glorious hug of sticky rice. Had an amazing experience at Jade Garden and the food was on point. I have lived in Everett for quite some time born and raised here in Washington State and never before have I been to this Chinese restaurant and OMG what was I missing overall. The service and food was excellent as I had the Mandarin Chicken and sweet and sour pork dinner combination with BBQ pork fried rice, before the meal came with two lraens and an egg roll with wonton soup. Wow, I had no idea there was a Jade Garden up in Everett, and it did NOT disappoint! I'd heard the food was really good here, and to expect a long wait. So no surprises when I showed up nighttime on Christmas & there were 15 people in front of me! We knew what we would see, and waited. It only took about 20 mins to get seated, in spite of the line. So, we ordered drinks & food at the same time - two of us got combo meals, one of us got dim sum. The dim sum came out relatively fast, and everybody started eating it. Delicious shrimp & chive dumplings, steamed pork buns, stuffed eggplant & Chinese broccoli. Also got some egg rolls. Then we got little cups of delicious wonton soup. About 30 mins later, one combo came out - single dinner #3 - and we started eating that - Mongolian beef, sweet & sour pork, fried prawns & pork fried rice (the egg roll that came with it showed up way earlier). Everything was delicious! Right about here is where we asked for our drinks again! Haha! 25 mins later, second combo - single dinner #1 - that came out & tbh we were too full to even really eat much of it. Sweet & sour pork, almond fried chicken & bbq pork fried rice. We ended up taking home quite a bit of the dim sum, all of the 3rd meal that came out & 1/3 of the 2nd meal that came out. The servers were way overburdened - one said she hadn't taken a break or eaten in like 10 hours I think, and was visibly shaky. I think they needed about 5 more people. But they were all very kind and helpful! The decor is older but comfortable, and in spite of how busy it was, they didn't try to rush us out when the last of our food came. Very good vibes. So keep in mind that there will be a wait, but it's a really good choice if you aren't impatient. Portions are huge & tasty, and for the price it was Seattle fair. lol. We left a big tip & thanked them for the wonderful food. I think we were there for a bout two hours? Maybe two and a half. The photos don't do it justice, so I'm skipping this time. I went here for the first time on Christmas. The hostess told me they only really do reservations on Christmas because they get so busy with DoorDash, but since it was just me and my toddler it would probably be ok so she sat us anyway. The server never even looked at us, and never came over to take a simple drink order. We waited for awhile and when a group came in that had a reservation, the server attended to them immediately. I couldn't believe it. I also noticed that the prices on DoorDash are about $5 higher per dish, so that's probably why they didn't just turn off DoorDash and focus on the people who actually show up. read more

The food is ALWAYS fresh and always tasty! The owner is always friendly and always making sure everything is going well. Don't let the outside appearance of the place fool you! Not the most appealing outside but it's about the food! Inside is always clean and NEVER crowded but do t let that stop you from eating here. Most people do takeout here as you sit and eat, there is a non stop stream of takeout orders that is constant! The Shui Mai is HUGE and comes with 4 pieces rather than 3 like a lot of other Chinese restaurant. Dim Sum is served ALL DAY so it's great to dine here. read more

Visited Jade Garden today because they offer all day dim sum. (Unfortunately, no cart dim sum.) Had a lovely experience! Went around 3:30 and we received the most attentive and helpful service. Our waters and teas were filled regularly without our asking. Our dim sum orders came out hot and fast. Pricing was reasonable and food was delicious. Wished we lived closer to be able to experience it more often, but our party of 5 left completely stuffed and happy. Clean restaurant and clean bathrooms. PS There was another patron dining at the same time. She was very loud and chatty. This is how we learned that her meal came to $27 and she tipped $2. She was still treated with the utmost kindness and given the same attentive service that we were. These are truly the nicest people who work here. read more

Watched several tables come in and get served and leave along with many drivers picking up orders. Asked again at now 2 hours and was told they are very busy it is almost done. At 3 hours I asked for a refund of my $80 order. They refused and said it was almost done. At 3.5 hours of waiting over 4 hours since order I got my food. FYI 2 others were also waiting for 4 hours. Gem hidden in plain sight! OMG the food was incredible. We wandered in to avoid the traffic and ordered the Family dinner (D) for 2. The sizzling rice soup at first looks like warm water with mushrooms, but winds up being this flavor bomb of shrimp, chicken, and the presentation worthy sizzling rice. The dim sum is fresh to order and the quality and portions are good. I think the food is authentic. The menu is traditional. The service is above average for a Chinese restaurant and the servers are attentive. It seems to be a small family owned restaurant with a mom and daughter working. It's always nice to support those. We were craving dim sum but didn't want to make the drive over to Edmonds or down to Seattle, so we decided to give Jade Garden (not associated with Jade Garden in Seattle) a try. Similar to the other Yelp reviews, I'm really not sure why this place has such low ratings but I'm glad we listened to our fellow Yelpers! We've recently moved to Everett and finding a good Asian restaurant that isn't Americanized has been rough to say the least...so this is going to be our new go-to spot!! Although there is a limited variety of dim sum options, everything we ordered was delicious. They're currently not doing dine-in, so you can order online or over the phone and just pick it up; we went inside to place our order and only had to wait about 20 minutes. All the dim sum was fresh, had pretty good portions, and were fairly priced! We ordered enough food for 3-4 people for a little over $50 before tip. Review of the essentials - skin on the Har Gow (listed as steamed jumbo prawns) was a bit thicker than I like but still delicious, the shiumai were huge and had great flavor, and the XLB (juicy dumplings) were actually juicy! My favorite dish has to be the Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings, which were gigantic and so delicious!!! Highly highly recommend this place for dim sum or dinner. Man, I don't know if I can trust you guys anymore. Three stars? Really?!? Just got home from a trip and decided to do take out since I don't have much food in the house. A friend mentioned that she was going to get dim sum tonight, and it got the gears rollin' ... In my area, I only had two places open to pick from when I searched for dumpling. One only had Potstickers, but Jade had all the options. I was reluctant after reading the reviews, but then I read the comments on Jade from the guy who said he's Chinese AND from the San Francisco area, and HE said it was the BEST he's had. So, I went for it. Without exaggeration, the Shui Mai was EASILY the best I've ever had in my life. Probably my favorite of everything I got. The pan fried potstickers are unforgettable. The only place I've ever had any even comparable was at Journey's East up in Tulalip. The pork and peanut dumplings had me a little suspicious at first, but one bite of the perfect filling was all I needed to be convinced. The bok choy buns were fantastic, doughy, not at all greasy, and like little pillows of Heaven on Earth. You all are going to have to trust me and San Fran Man on this one. My husband and I ordered take out here and we were starving after a long cold day. The waitress was very sweet and did a great job answering our questions and we actually felt kind of bad for her because the people dining in were being super rude to her. Half way through our dinner in the hotel room I saw something really weird in my triple mushroom beef dish. At first I thought it might have been a weird mushroom piece, but it was a small, dead, ROACH!!! I saw its antennas and realized it was bug after seeing a leg. I immediately felt sick to my stomach, and was nauseous all night. I read other reviews, and there is another person who found a larger roach as well. The kitchen must be dirty. My husband was sick until the next morning from his friend rice. We didn't say anything because we had felt so bad for her, but at the end of the day having dead roaches in your food is absolutely unacceptable. Please don't eat here, I'm terrified what the kitchen looks like. read more

So not sure why this restaurant isn't more like 4-5 stars. I've lived in the PNW for 7 years and I'm Chinese. I'm originally from San Francisco where they have EXTREMELY good Chinese food, probably the best in the nation which easily compares and could easily rival Vancouver, Canada. Not going to lie here, but I did have to come twice before making judgement. Their first time shocked me cause I thought I just got in on a lucky day where the chef decided to make it really good. But now that I got my second time in, this restaurant is AWESOME and other than Seattle Chinatown, this is the BEST Chinese food anywhere north. Anyways, I ordered a "wet style beef chow fun". I don't even know if it's on the menu or not, but when I ordered it, they said sure they can make it. First off, chow fun is more of a Cantonese dish. Very filling because of the wide noodles, and most restaurants will pan fry it. I've had some places try to recreate the "wet style (gravy)" chow fun around here, but most places don't do it or it just was so depressing. The way they made it was absolutely SPOT ON. I also have had dim sum here. Their siu mai and ha gow is my usual staples, and they made it AMAZINGLY good both times. Again, other than Chinatown, this place has the BEST dim sum. Their variety is a little lacking but I guess you can only ask for so much considering it's located in Everett. Overall, the restaurant itself is not fancy or anything like that. It's literally just an old school Americanized Chinese restaurant. Or at least it looks like it. So far everything I've had here has been extremely good and I can easily say it's the best Chinese restaurant north of Shoreline, and maybe even north of Seattle in general. It's Chinese home style cooking, done by a great cook that I can easily see work at one of the higher end Chinese restaurants. read more

Went here on a Sunday evening for a date. It was pleasantly quiet and for staff it was the owner and an associate. And yes, they are now open for dining in. Good food, and absolutely wonderful service. A large menu with lots of options. The ownership is making efforts to continuously improve. They were discussing adding a tiramisu to the dessert menu and offered samples. It was delicious! Not super oversweet like store-bought tiramisu, and the price was very fair. I'm jumping on the bandwagon to say - I have NO IDEA why this place is rated so badly!!! Simply put, it was so damn good. Jade Garden is within walking distance from my boyfriends apartment and I was really craving Chinese food. Only problem is, i'm SUPER picky when it comes to Chinese food, if it's not authentic, I don't want it. I decided to take a leap of faith and put in an order for take out. We ordered the chicken fried rice, Garlic fried chicken wings, and pork dumplings. I have to say I was a bit skeptical considering the reviews were all over the place. I'm telling you, the SECOND my boyfriend walked through our front door with our food, the apartment smelt like HEAVEN!!! The fried rice had all the flavor it needed - usually I'd have to add soy sauce for alittle extra something, didn't need to do that. Don't even get me started on the garlic fried chicken wings!! These are a new favorite and i'll be coming back for more... and considering this place is right across the street... i'm in trouble lol. They were so juicy yet crispy on the outside.
