It truly upsets me to have to leave a review like this. I've been ordering from this restaurant for close to 10 years, and it has always been my family's "go-to." Unfortunately, after my experience this past Tuesday, I'm not sure I want to continue giving them my business. I always tip--usually above the suggested percentage or by selecting the preset option. This time, however, I had cash on me and planned to give the driver a cash tip. There has never been a time where I did not tip. When I placed my order, the confirmation stated that delivery would take about 45 minutes. Instead, the order arrived 40 minutes earlier than quoted--well before I was home. I would have been there within the promised timeframe, but because it was so early, my daughter accepted the order. I also always select "contactless--leave at door." The delivery driver, who has brought food to us before, knocked very hard on the door and then asked my daughter if we planned to tip. That was completely uncalled for. My daughter had no idea that I had ordered food, let alone that I intended to tip in cash. When she told the driver I wasn't home, the driver actually responded, "Oh, because you didn't tip," and then left. I was shocked. Had the order arrived at the quoted time, I would have been home to give the tip as planned. Instead, the driver ignored delivery instructions and embarrassed my daughter by demanding a tip. If management is reading this, I strongly urge you to remind your staff to follow delivery instructions and not pressure or question customers about tips--especially when the order is set to be contactless. A cash tip was ready, had it not been delivered well before the delivery time. For anyone planning to order and tip in cash: beware. read more

Unbelievably good Chinese food is served here !!! I had passed this restaurant many times and decided to try it. My sister and I viewed the menu online and called in an order on a Friday night, hoping that it would not be a long wait on such a popular night. We ordered combo dinners, extra dishes, appetizers and sesame balls for dessert. Waaaay too much, but it was a celebration night. The food arrived in record time, hot and ready for us to dive in! I honestly cannot rember eating such fabulous Chinese food! EVERYTHING was SO good from pot stickers and pork slices w/ musyard to garlic fried chicken, almond chicken, sweet n sour prawns, the best vegetable platter I've ever had ( snow peas, mushrooms, water chestnuts, and baby corns, if im remembering correctly. I have been going to Beijing garden for about 15 years and have always been impressed with the service, ambiance, and food. My favorite is Crispy Garlic Chicken Wings. I moved south about 10 years ago, so it is not convenient to go regularly, but when in the area, I will not miss it. It is so hard to find good Chinese food, and , especially in Everett, Washington. We thought we'd chance Beijing Gardens on Rucker Avenue in Everett. They charged $20 an entrée. We ordered sweet and sour chicken and honey walnut chicken. They close at 9 PM, and we ordered our food at 6:30 PM. The chicken in both entrées was so hard and stringy that it was hard to eat. The sweet and sour sauce was bland . We took a chance and again we were greatly disappointed. It was $40 wasted. I would not recommend Beijing Gardens in Everett Washington for dinner. We ordered takeout, so I can't tell you about the service. Do you know those places that you pass a million times traveling to and from your home? The ones that you never think to frequent or go inside? This is one of those places. While I waited, I noted the huge fish in the aquarium, the bustle of dinner conversations, and the phone calls for people ordering to-go. The restaurant's interior seems a bit small, but homey. I originally ordered online, not knowing that I would be picking up at this particular restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised to see that our huge order for a family of four was well wrapped and inside of a box top for easy carrying. The pre-planned dinners for two, three, or four are a great deal. Is this place going to win any awards? No. But was it busy with what looked like regular diners and food delivery orders? Heck yes. Everything we had was great from the sizzling rice soup to the almond chicken. Flavorful, large portions, and kept well for leftovers the next day. The only complaint I have is that the bbq pork appetizer that came with the dinner was bland and not the best quality. However, we did receive hot mustard, packets of soy sauce, and sesame seeds with it, along with egg rolls. A big plus is that we didn't have to order rice separately. I suggest entering the parking lot off of 38th because traffic on Rucker can be crazy and the turn comes up fast. Solid Chinese-American joint that caters to the locals. It's economical and not a bad value if you don't get your hopes up too high. Don't look for anything fancy here! General Tso's chicken lunch was decent but nothing to make a special trip for. Their lunch specials are awesome. Service is ok, not great but meh could be worse. It is located on Rucker parking could be better but for the location it's ok. Now after all that the food is excellent. Chow Mein noodles- everytime I order its never dry. Their green tea is by far the best I've had , according to my mom. Like I said lunch time is the best time and they have reasonably priced lunch specials. Otherwise it will cost $$$. read more

Well so far I've got food Togo here 2 times and first off I'll say like Chinese food it seems expensive to me. I will also say that both times I've ordered here everything has been very good and I'm impressed. The food taste good and is hot and ready when I pick it up or almost ready I have had to wait a few minutes before for my order which is a good thing I know their making it fresh. They are friendly and kind and I would suggest to anyone to give it a try I think you'll be happy and enjoy your meal. I love supporting local businesses and giving good reviews the places that deserve it and I fully believe this little place should be supported. I've tried a few different dishes here and i apologize about not being more specific about what I've ordered but in my opinion it's only my taste you'll order what you like anyway and like I said it's all been delicious so go give it a try for yourself! Ok please let me tell you this place is legit! I am super picky about Chinese, I come from San Francisco and they do it right! It's a no fuss restaurant. The food is what it is all about. They aren't gonna offer amazing service but the food will be hot, quick, super flavorful and hit the spot!! They do a lot of delivery and pick up. Their egg drop soup is to die for! The egg foo young is wok pan fried! The gravy is perfect! I look forward to trying other things but I keep ordering those two. ( as we binged watched "The thing about Pam" and drank Prosecco while our husbands were away ) My guy and I just picked up take out from there and holy cow ,it was awesome! The chow mein reminded me of what you would get at safeway and didn't seem as authentic to me. To note: I don't mind the Safeway Chinese food. It also came with egg flower soup which was nice and hot and very good flavor. The price was very reasonable for the kind of food and the amount that you get (meal was under $15). This is the best Chinese-American food I have ever had. The ginger beef is redolent with the signature ingredient, tender beef intermingling with a variety of fresh vegetables. The orange beef is fragrant and gorgeous. Their General Tso's blows all the General Tso's I've had in my life out of the water. The noodles have a delightful texture. I have been ordering food from them for over two years and I am never disappointed. Then why take a star off? Their fish tank is one of the worst I've ever seen. A friend introduced me to this place recently and I have managed to make it back a few times since then. I drove by it for years and never considered stopping. It does not have the best look from the outside and a very small parking lot, making other places seem more desirable. Inside is quite spacious though, nicely decorated and has a beautiful fish tank with lots of colorful fish. I enjoy the hot tea while dining here. My favorite dish is the sizzling bean curd. I have never had a Chinese dish come served similarly to fajitas at a Mexican restaurant. Its quite tasty and I now get it on every visit. I have sampled a few other things but this is the dish that stands out to me. I have brought a few friends to sample the food and they enjoyed their meals as well. I recently discovered how convenient it is to get take out from here. The customer service does leave a little bit to be desired, but I come for the food not the friendly interaction. I arrived five minutes before they said it would be ready, and it was already boxed up and ready to go. Everything was still hot when I got home. Not sure why this place doesn't have a better rating because it was recommended to me by a friend and I turn recommend it to everyone I know and they in turn have made it their go-to. My minimum criteria for adding a Chinese food restaurant to my list is if they have Broccoli Chicken and it will become my favorite if they have Sizzling Rice soup. It will stay my favorite if the quality and flavor stays consistent across time. Here we are 2 years later, still stopping by for a sit-in at lunch where they accommodate a swap or two, or a pick up for dinner. The owner is very nice and laughs when she sees I don't have rice. Since moving from Kent, I've been searching for a Chinese restaurant that has quality Mongolian beef. I tried a few local places and the flavors were lacking. The Mongolian beef here is nothing short of delicious. The flavors are spot on, its the perfect level of spicy, and the portions are enormous. For $13 I definitely feel like I got my monies worth. I'm really not picky when it comes to how I like my food to be done when I go out to eat but I know good food when I find it. It's tiny and a little difficult to see if you aren't looking for it. When you get inside it's pretty standard, nothing really amazing when it comes to decor. But I would take that and good food over a beautiful dining room and sub par food.
