The shame about this place is that they still haven't opened up their dining area for patrons to eat there. That would make me give it 5 stars instead of 4, but the food is good. I like the free food stuff. Spend more than 25 and get egg rolls, soup, or fried rice for free. Take out or delivery only so call ahead and show up earlier than told to. With no wait my food was ready in 10min. Bonus. Ordered the won ton soup, hong kong pan fried noodle house combo, fried rice house combo, and the free egg rolls. Egg rolls. Pretty good for free. Paying for them they are small so don't expect much in size. Won ton soup. Broth was fine after I added a little soy sauce. The won ton is made there. You can't buy won tons like this from a store. Beef, chicken, shrimp. I would eat this again. Hong Kong style house chow mein was pretty dang good. I asked that they separate the gravy and veggies from the pan fried noodles and I'd assemble them at the hotel. That was the perfect way to get this like they would have served it there. Definitely having this item again. House fried rice. So I was going to save it for lunch tomorrow but I had left over won ton soup and nothing is better than fried rice in broth. Yummy. I've eaten here several times over the years and the food's been OK. I've actually been eating here long enough that I used to be able to go and sit down inside now. They only do takeout I went there the other day to get Chinese food and when it comes to chicken, I only like chicken breast. I don't like chicken thigh and the menu does not say if it's chicken breast or chicken thigh and the guy working there didn't even really know so I got frustrated and left. I was gonna spend 80 bucks on food And it just kind of ruined my night. And I'm not gonna waste my damn time going back. So I don't know how many hundreds of dollars that would be in business that they've lost from me because they simply don't tell you on the menu if it's chicken breast or not. read more

We order from them pretty regularly. They deliver quickly - always tell us 45 min to one hour and nearly always show up in 30 minutes with Pipping hot delicious food and a smile. We are only a few blocks away, but they never dissapoint, and they are never bothered by our special needs to remove things like celery, or send us extra soy sauce. Delivery review ...after what must be 10+ deliveries through the years. These folks have always been dependable and consistent. They're not the most traditional-seeming Chinese place around, but they're certainly not the most Americanized, not by a long shot. I think there are a couple battered and fried things on the menu but they're hardly the majority. Food shows up fast and sometimes it's still too hot to take a bite without waiting for the food to cool off. They're only a few miles away but not many places can equal that statement, at least around here. This review includes today's lunch and regular favorites too. BBQ Pork A bit on the sweet side but flavorful and not too dry. Plenty of mustard included. Green Onion Pancake Nicely chewy, mild flavors, perfect for dunking in other stuff on the table. I'm sure that's not the preferred traditional serving/eating technique, but I'm a caveman sometimes I guess. Black Mushroom Bok Choy Tons of fresh veg (this is consistent throughout the menu), lots of dark soy flavor. Very hearty, tons of umami, nicely filling without leaving you feeling completely beached. Hot & Sour Soup A family favorite going back to childhood for my sister, our mom (RIP), and me. Always a part of every family outing for Chinese food when we were kids or visiting mom as adults. This place has probably the second-best, if not sometimes best, H&S around here. I think this was invented for the American market, but I don't care. I love the piles of fresh veg and the rich broth. You can drink this stuff on a rough morning and it stands you up right quick. Dried Cooked Chicken with String Beans Chicken with Hot Garlic Sauce Big flavors, perfectly-cooked chicken, tons of fresh veg, shows up piping hot. The garlic sauce dish shows maybe more soy than garlic but it certainly is delicious. There are probably 15 other dishes in my order history and I'd happily order each of them again. I'm really happy I stumbled across this little gem, we were about to order from another location but the reviews on Yelp for Town Story caught my attention. I ordered via Grubhub on the Yelp app, and our order was ready within 45 minutes. My husbands orange chicken had oranges in it, and his chicken wasn't overly breaded. He really enjoyed his chicken wings also. My lo mein wasn't greasy, ideally seasoned and filled with vegetables. The green onion pancakes were really good! I really appreciate the business offering delivery as it's 25 minutes north of me, and if normal traffic was occurring there's no way I would drive north and then attempt to head back south just to land myself in traffic. I found on yelp and dropped i for dinner after a massage. I checked in and found a free spring roll offer. Which I claimed after ordering abc the waitress brought them out quickly. I got some mustard sauce and was super happy. I ordered vegetable egg foo young and shrimp chop suey spicy. The egg foo young was deep fried and came out quite greasy. The gravy lacked flavor. Could of used more hoisin and cornstarch to thicken. The chop suey had a lot of smaller shrimp and was full of celery and way too much of it. It had a little cabbage too. Not sure how high my bar is when eating Chinese as a Chinese person but here we go. We went with Town Story because of the reviews and their prices were slightly lower than the others. I had the Honey Walnut Prawns which were $13 and some change and it was $15 and some change at another. I think they gave a decent portion but not as much as you get when ordering the General Tso's Chicken. Both tasted pretty decent but I wished they had given a carton of rice for each dish ordered so we didn't have enough rice. The egg rolls said there would be 3 but to my surprise, there were 4. Can't complain about getting an extra. They cost about $3 and some change but were small and hardly any filling. I don't normally use the sweet and sour sauce but I had to with these to get some flavor. I'm craving the larger egg rolls now. I was not a fan of the fried wonton but the boyfriend liked them. I thought they were overcooked and hard to eat. The meat was bland. I wish he had ordered the crab rangoons instead. I don't suggest getting the bubble tea. I got the original thinking it would be regular milk tea but it was white slush and really sweet. I have no idea what the flavor is supposed to be but I suspect it is made with powder. I ordered the Mongolian Chicken (breast) for $10.95. I requested 5* heat level and was absolutely ecstatic to receive 5*. My entree came with a side of white rice. The chicken was tender, flavorful and oh so spicy. The onions were perfectly stir-fried, crisp-tender. I have thought about this dish many times since consuming. Our meals were accompanied with fortune cookies which are always fun. The to-go containers are nice quality. Styrofoam is a big turn-off for me. Overall, I plan to dine-in at some point. I haven't had Chinese food this good in a minute. This is SO GOOD. I got the beef fried rice and the portion is large. The amount of rice, meat, and vegetables is even and works so well.
