YES! LATE NIGHT PASTA! Just having a late night place open, that's not a bar or cuisine centered around drinking (think some Korean restaurants, skewers, etc.), is a rarity and greatly appreciated. Pastaphony is a new franchise where you can build your own pasta or order the presets combinations that they already have. This location is open until midnight/1 AM on most nights (aside from Sunday), which is a GOD SEND. There's outdoor seating and indoor seating. I believe they share a space with another restaurant, since the restroom is in between to the right side if need be. All of the drinks are canned/bottled in the small fridge that they have and you can see that they're trying to make it into a hang out spot as they have board games and such here too and it's quite close to Fullerton College. The owner, I believe, Aybek (sorry, if I spelled wrong!) was super friendly and welcoming, shook both of our hands and introduced us and welcomed us into the restaurant. Super courteous and friendly and explained the entire menu to us. Food came out decently quickly and was delicious as well, can't go wrong with some pasta, garlic bread, and carbs. He was nice enough to throw in some complimentary Nutella bomb desserts as well. He also mentioned that his wife made all of the sauces. It's neat that there's a mom and pop shop vibe even for a franchise. For our late night visit, we got the: 1) Build Your Own (BYO) Pasta: -For BYO, you get a pasta and sauce of your choice, unlimited toppings, and you just pay a small extra fee for any premium toppings (the proteins). -We got the penne pasta with pink sauce (mix of the red sauce and Alfredo sauce), garlic, parsley, and basil. For the premium toppings, we got grilled chicken. -Comes out piping hot, very creamy and a generous portion as well. We had to take it to go since it was more than enough for 2 hungry adults in the dead of the mornight. -Grilled chicken was interspersed throughout and the flavoring from our toppings choice tied everything deliciously together. There's also parmesan and crushed red pepper packets if you need to add in more seasoning, but it was perfect the way that we had it. 2) Garlic Breadsticks: -This comes with 4 pieces and served with marinara sauce. -Super garlicky and fragrant. Delicious and a staple you can't do without. Fine on it's own and with the marinara sauce, but super addicting and delicious dipped into our pasta sauce. 3) Nutella Bomb: -Super cute that the owner drew 2 Nutella chocolate hearts on the pastries. It's bomboloni (fried Italian donuts) filled with Nutella. Soft and completely filled to the brim with Nutella. Best eaten fresh as the warmth makes the filling more gooey. Definitely will visit again in the future. If you're hankering for some late night eats and to carb maxxx, this is the place to go!

The moment you walk in, you are greeted with a smile from the owners! You can tell that the passion for PASTA & Italian cooking runs through their veins with the best ingredients that you can literally taste! You can build your own pasta bowl starting at $14.99 or go with any of their signature pasta choices! You pick from 5 different types of pasta, 8 different types of sauces, pick as many FREE veggie toppings and an optional premium toppings such as meatballs, grilled chicken, shrimp, bacon. If pasta is not your thing? They got salads that hit the spot, very cheesy garlic bread and indulgent Italian desserts! What did I eat? - Spaghetti Chicken Parmesan w/ Basil - Fettuccine Truffle Mushroom Chicken w/ Spinach - Cheese Garlic Bread - Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad Portions a large! I really appreciate the freshness. With every single bite, you can't help but say this is GOOOOOOOOOOD! Whether you share pasta or take leftovers home, you will love what you order. I did! There is an outdoor patio and small dining area. Support this small family business and give these new pasta experts a chance.

This place is so new and has a great outdoor seating and play area! The staff is so friendly and was very helpful. I placed an online order and it sends updates as they finish. The meal is bagged very well, with utensils, extra cheese, and pepper. They offer build your own bowls with certain mix ins for free, and others at an additional charge. I ordered Penne Alfredo and added Chicken, spinach, extra garlic, basil, and chili flakes. It tastes amazing and the flavors are great! $20 is not a bad price and they provide a decent portion. I will definitely come again.

Phastarony absolutely surprised me in the best way. The fettuccine chicken alfredo was a 10/10. The sauce was rich, smooth, and easily one of the best I've had... and that's coming from someone who normally isn't even a fan of fettuccine alfredo. The garlic bread was perfectly toasted and packed with flavor, and the side sauce it came with was just as good. Another 10/10. We also tried the spaghetti chicken parmesan, and yeah... 10/10 again. Flavor was on point, and everything tasted fresh and well made. You can tell they actually care about quality here. Every dish hit. I'm honestly excited to come back and try more of the menu.

I was looking through new restaurants in the area this past Monday and found Pastaphony. There's an Italian spot nearby named Mamma Mia that I love but had to try this place out because they offer a Build-Your-Own (BYO) model of ordering that's very affordable! Here's what we ordered: **Penne with Butter Sauce: For my free toppings, I added basil, black olives, cherry tomatoes, garlic, spinach, and roasted peppers. For my protein, I opted out for their shrimp which costed an extra $5. Amazing. No further words needed. (5/5) **Fettuccine with Alfredo Sauce: For my free toppings, I added basil, cherry tomatoes, garlic, onions, parsley, and roasted peppers. For my protein, I opted out for their grilled chicken which costed an extra $4. Amazing. No further words needed. (5/5) **Cheesy Garlic Bread Sticks: YUMMY! The main thing restaurant lack is good bread but this place nailed it. There was a generous portion of cheese and garlic for this delicious, gooey treat. We had some hot and fresh which was delicious. We also had a piece later that evening when it was colder but it was still moist and so delicious! (5/5) WOW! Amazing food across the board. It was the first time we had pasta this good in a very long time. Not too salty at all and every single ingredient was so fresh. The shrimp was great but the chicken was cooked to perfection - so tender and moist even when cold! For the base price of $15 for a BYO minus the protein, the portions were MASSIVE. I had ordered online through their website via Apple Pay for an estimated pick-up time of 11:55 AM. When I arrived, the man working the shop gave me an ETA of 5 more minutes because they were busy for the lunch rush which was a-okay. The man offered me coffee on the house but I declined only because I had coffee waiting for me in the car already. 5 minutes go by and an additional 5 extra minutes but I was in no rush. Everything was freshly made to order and it was nice seeing him prepare my food right in front of my eyes. There is nothing more to say other than that this is a flawless and spectacular new pasta spot that I'd feel guilty to gatekeep. There are tables in side and a few outside but I think this spot is more designed for takeout orders. I will be returning again in the near future to try out more of their menu. Thank you for the great hospitality. Thank you for the flawless, affordable food. This will be my new go-to for Italian in the area. See you again soon, Pastaphony!

This is a new build-your-own pasta concept that just opened in Downtown Fullerton. You can DIY your own pasta by choosing the type of noodle, sauces like pink sauce or truffle cream, then any complimentary toppings--yes, you can get all of them if you want. I highly recommend adding on some premium protein, like the breaded chicken they can make into a chicken parm. But if you're indecisive like me, you can't go wrong with their signature pastas like the fettuccine truffle mushroom and spicy penne arrabiata. You can tell all the ingredients they use are so fresh and all their pasta sauces are handmade by the owners themselves. And their cheesy garlic bread goes SO hard. Thanks for reading! ^-^

This is the first time I went to Pastaphony, and we were greeted so warmly by the staff. We ordered for pickup, and they offered us tea and coffee while we waited for our food to be finished, which was so nice! The food portions are great for the price, and the pasta was so good and cooked well. I would definitely come back! Great that they're open late too!

Writing this having now gone for the second time in a week! My gf and I had been looking for a good pasta place since moving to a nearby neighborhood and tried our luck here. All I have to say is WOW. It was decently priced for the high quality and large portions of food we received. The ingredients were fresh, food was flavored so well, and just really scratched the "Italian comfort food" itch without breaking the bank. It's a small, cute little corner spot with indoor/ outdoor seating in the heart of downtown Fullerton. The gentleman who greeted us both times was so incredibly sweet, shook our hands, and welcomed us back. It just felt warm, and like they take pride in making delicious meals. This is officially our new favorite go-to spot for amazing pasta! Will be back again and again, highly recommend!

Stop in for a quick bite. The service was amazing. We were greeted right away and everyone in the small restaurant was so friendly. They even gave us a complimentary dessert at the end of our meal. The pasta was a nicely flavor and very filling. The cheesy bread is the same breadsticks they use at Olive Garden or at least very similar to it. A nice little place to grab a quick pasta to go or they have a few tables available to dine in.

A new pasta place if you want to get your fix without breaking the bank. The owners were working and were SO attentive, kind, and gave gracious portions. The pasta with the pink sauce was great and apparently they make their own Alfredo sauce. This place was great for vegetarians too and I would love to come again and support this lovely couple! How to order: Pick your own pasta. Pick your sauce of choice. Then pick your toppings (no limit). Then adding your own protein (costs more). Parking: Can park on the street, building structure across the street, or the same side with another parking lot.

I brought my infant daughter here, to have lunch with my team from work, and we had a wonderful experience. The food is fresh, flavorful, piping hot, and everything is made from scratch. The owners make everything in house, and all of the dishes are customizable. there are plenty of options for meat eaters, and vegetarians alike. I had a penne dish with pink sauce, all the available vegetables possible, and meatballs. My team had other options, including spaghetti with truffle sauce, and someone ordered something with seafood. They even surprised me with a birthday piece of tiramisu. We sat on the patio, enjoying the beautiful cross breeze This is a nice option for a casual, delicious Italian lunch or dinner, and the food is absolutely fit for a five star establishment. Portions are generous. Prices are reasonable. We love that the food comes already presented in takeout boxes, because each of us will be eating our leftovers for the next two meals. The owner was extremely welcoming to us. We will be back. Fantastic!

I love the idea of building your own bowl and creating so many types of combinations! Also I was in heaven with my bowl. It tasted so amazing!! Like I was blown away I had to drag my bff here. Also I think the owner. He is so nice and so kind! He even gave me a nice lil dessert for free this place is small but so cozy. Def recommend trying it if you love pasta!

I visited around 11pm at night and was happy they were still open! The owners were so nice, they greeted me as soon as I walked in, explained the menu in detail, and even told me all the sauces were made by the wife from scratch. I waited about 10 minutes for the food and they gave me a complimentary hot tea to drink. I got the pasta to-go and it was still so delicious by the time I got home! My boyfriend and I shared it, but portion was so huge that both of us couldn't even finish it. This place is definitely on our revisit list, and even better that they're open late! Customer service 10/10, thank you for the great experience!

Located in the middle of downtown Fullerton, it's a charming and cozy space that's perfect for a date night or celebration. Come early, or plan to walk around a bit because they are walk up only, and your wait could be a while depending on where you want to be sat. Still, it's worth it for the great atmosphere and delicious pasta. Certain days of the week have different specials. For example, Thursdays they have discounted martinis (they have some GREAT drinks), and Wednesdays discounted wine bottles (and no corkage fees if your whole party orders an entree) so definitely make sure to check out if they're offering anything the day you come in. They have a pretty large menu of pasta dishes, and other entrees. Everything I've had off the menu has been delicious, including the special pasta of the day I ordered on my last visit. Plates range from $20 and up if you add proteins, but the portions are large and you definitely won't leave hungry. The service is very solid, but our last server Jessica really wowed us! She was personable, and had many great recommendations about the menu. Aside from checking in on us frequently and making sure our wine glasses were never empty, she really made our recent visit a standout one. The food was pretty close to the old location, but the menu was not so extensive which is not unusual for small place. We miss Dominick who used to walk around with his wine glass ,half loaded and yelling . The waitress at the new place took our order and really showed no personality. She is an inland if I understand correctly. It's a shame if you want to remember the vibe of the old place, but the food helped to make up for her lack.

The one waitress was on her phone when we walked in and seemed kind of bothered that we were interrupting. The location is kind of small so parties of 4+ might have an issue with seating. They didn't have a sampler "TOUR" like other restaurants, and I decided to go with the Fettucine Alfredo with Chicken, Side Meatballs and side salad. This is when the restaurant started getting busy. The salad arrived was less than to be desired and there was barely any dressing. She then dropped off the Meatballs that were cold and I asked to please send them back. Needless to say I was becoming slightly agitated due to being hungry. Then my main dish ordered was not Chicken Alfredo. The other people at my table said that their dishes were amazing. I was like, ill believe it when it comes. I am happy to say that when the dish arrived it was everything that I wanted, and she brought back the meatballs that were warm and her attitude seemed to improve as things got busier and the experience finished very well. Skip the salad and go straight for the main entree and you will not lose.

My son and I both ordered seafood pastas. He and I both ordered the clams with linguine. He got the parma rosa sauce will I got the traditional wine sauce. The meal also came with a soup or salad. Since it was a hot day, we both picked salad. One of our favorite parts of the meal was the bread. Not sure if it was on purposes but the bread basket came with both thin slices and thick slices. And don't forget the garlic infused butter. So yumm! As for parking, the restaurant is in a small strip center and only a few stores were open when we arrived so there was plenty of parking.

The bread was not heavy as typical bread seemed as if it was the flour but lighter than normal. We ordered brushetta. The topping was a fair amount but the balsamic was a bit too sweet for me. We ordered chicken piccata came with angel hair pasta and good amount of capers with a lemon wedge. The pasta and chicken complimented each other well. The sauce seemed a light lemon flavor the fresh squeezed elevated the flavor. Great dish to order. It also came with soup or salad I chose minestrone but not to my liking way too much tomato taste for My taste buds. We also had a pizza it was mozzarella and basil, tomatoes (Margarite) good pizza the crust was hand tossed. Nice place to enjoy a meal not too loud but it was Monday.

The dishes were rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with fresh ingredients. From the perfectly cooked pasta to the well-balanced sauces, every bite felt authentic and thoughtfully prepared. What truly elevated the evening, however, was the exceptional service. Our waiter, Caesar, was kind, attentive, and highly professional throughout the meal. He made excellent recommendations, checked in at just the right moments, and created a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere without ever feeling intrusive. Overall, this was a memorable dining experience. Between the delicious Italian food and Caesar's outstanding service, I would happily return and highly recommend this restaurant to others.

This review of Vinny's Italian Restaurant is long overdue. I've eating there about twice a week…read morefor the last 7 months and I've never been disappointed. The food is consistently tasty and plentiful. I've tried the pastas but my go to meal is a big bowl of Minestrone soup, salad with Italian dressing and to die for garlic bread. I try to eat more plant based, and the soup is chock full of delicious vegetables - I think Vinny said eighteen different kinds - and just enough ditalini pasta to satisfy my pasta craving without blowing my diet. There's a hint of hotness to it, just enough to set it apart from the chain restaurants. I don't like vegetables very much, but I know they are really good for me, so Vinny's Minestrone was a terrific find. For my cheat day, about once a month I splurge on Patsy's Tiramisu. I think she said the recipe came from Vinny's Mom. It is worth every decadent calorie. The fluffy whipped cream is light yet rich, sweet but not too sweet, just the perfect amount of wonderfulness that dessert should be, and sadly, often isn't. Finally, I have to mention the people that work there. I don't know exactly what goes on in the kitchen, but my food is always fast, abundant, and hot - unless it's supposed to be cold. I'll repeat the word delicious here, because it is. So Vinny and his kitchen team are A+. The servers are great. Leti and Laurie greet me by name, with big smiles. They remember my preferences. They are never too busy to call out thank-you and have a great day when I leave. Patsy, the owner, is often on the floor serving, too, and she has gone out of her way to check-in with me and ask after my well-being. I appreciate their kindness, which is ever-present during slow, and busy times of the day. Vinny's is not fancy, but it's warm and homey, and yes, here's that word again: delicious. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
