This place is great. As authentic as it gets. You can see the chef making the pasta, you know like knitting the doe and all that other pasta magical stuff. I like to go there for lunch and seat outside under their canopy which is cooled by fans. They have daily specials which they'll show you a picture so that there is no doubt in your mind and like me you can enjoy with your food. Beware of parking. I just got a 55.00 dollar notice for parking in front of the restaurant. It is appaling to go there and park and no one tells you that you have to pay for the parking. Pasta Market is the type of place you need to slow down look for, and appreciate. I sat outside on a Friday early evening with zero expectation. When the waitress approached I knew I was in for a real treat as she described the specials. The food is made fresh, and the environment reminded me when I visited Rome. The smells coming from the kitchen was outstanding. The service was great. Growing up in NYC, now living in Tampa, FL. I was home sick. My kids took me to Pasta Market in Miami for my Birthday dinner and it was absolutely delicious and a wonderful restaurant. All the pastas are homemade right at the restaurant and you have a choice of sauces that are all spectacular. The appetizers and desserts are delicious. Our appetizers of octopus and another unique favorite, oranginas - rice balls stuffed with meat and cheese, were delicious to be followed by two amazing pasta dishes. If you like your pasta a bit softer, be sure to ask as they prepare truly as pasta should be - al dente! I was reminiscing with the waitress about a certain dish my mom used to prepare for me when I was growing up. Owner was there and we asked him for an appetizer. Brushed us off and didn't place the order. But within all those spots. This charming little Italian restaurant makes some of the best classic pasta dishes outside of Italy. You can see the aunties making the pasta by the window, conversing with each other in Italian to keep each other company and you can hear other patrons speaking Italian and watching football. From that moment on, I knew it was going to be some good eats. Since it's a small mom and pop operation, things are a bit slow to get the staff's attention to order. But once you get your food. It was perfecto. Chef's kiss. The portion might seem small compared to the chains. But it was perfect portion for me. I was satisfied. Fried Zucchini flowers are rarely available at any restaurant but they have them here and they were awesome! Staff is super friendly. Only downside for me would be that they have just a few types of wine and beer and no liquor. But that doesn't take away from this place. We will be back for sure. I had only driven past this place and was always curious to check it out. Finally made my way into their plaza (tight parking in the plaza btw but there is street parking all around), and this place is über cute/homey. I sat inside, but they also have outdoor seating which was packed when I arrived. The staff is small but attentive all around, and the owner is there as well working alongside the team (loved that!). I loved that quite a few of them were speaking Italian amongst themselves and were playing Italian music, which added to the ambiance. Overall, the setting was very cozy, homey, and cool. Now onto the food. I tried the Vitello Tonnatto, pasta Carbonara, and the Pastiera for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious and tasted home made. I can't emphasize that part enough; I felt like I was dining at my nonna's house. I really enjoyed having a Ratatouille moment when eating the pasta. Go try it.
