I ordered a few rolls here today and was very dissatisfied at the lack of salmon in my Philly rolls. $8 plus tax per roll for mostly cucumber is not acceptable. This happened a couple of times, don't think I will order Philly rolls from here anymore. The spicy salmon is alright. I prefer a bit more rice on my rolls. I only say this because I've had many miso soups at many different restaurants and this one had an off taste and very chewy tofu. I will say the sushi was fantastic. I've been to a good amount of sushi restaurants in the area where the nigiri tastes very fishy . The salmon nigiri that I chose was so clean and tasted perfect . All the other rolls we chose were great too. I did feel a bit rushed at the end when a random lady who was not our server came to our table to ask if we wanted anything else or if we were finished . I went and got take out. Their sushi is always outstanding. They have dine in seating again so it was very busy. I ordered Thai basil chicken and asked for it to be Thai hot. When I picked it up it had Thai hot 3x which the lady pointed out to me but I was actually delighted as I love spicy food. Got it home and it was spicy hot and too hot for my wife but the heat was good for me. Unfortunately other than the heat I can't say there was much basil or flavor. That was a bit disappointing. I expected the menu to be smaller with just sushi options but they had everything including soups, salads, small plates, sashimi, poke, sushi, maki, specialty rolls, hibachi, teriyaki, fried rice, noodles, and curries. Sushi tasted fresh and was rolled tightly which is a huge plus for me! My favorite was the Kani salad. It had spicy crunchy shredded crab meat with cucumbers tossed in a spicy mayo dressing. It's essentially shredded crab salad with a kick. Loved it and will definitely order it for lunch again soon. Their drink menu was huge with a wide range of martinis, cocktails, wine, sake, and beer. I ended up getting the jalapeno margarita with vodka (yes I know, I'm weird) but tequila would put me on the floor. The best part about the drink was the muddled jalapenos. I'm glad the slices were thin as they weren't overpowering the rest of the drink/margarita mix. Yeah, this place is really good if you want rolls (during COVID experience). I did their lunch menu. Three rolls for $14. As an eel addict, I went ahead and got both the eel rolls and spicy crab (this, just to try). Miso soup or salad comes with the lunch menu. I also ordered sushi set 2(?)/B(?) and 2-roll set for my family members. What immediately stuck out to me was the size of the miso soup. You know how... some restaurants cheap out on the miso soup? Yeah, not these folks. They give you more than enough amount of miso soup, so you have enough until you finish your rolls... which is BEST! Then there are the rolls. Not a lot of rice, and plenty of toppings, yet the rolls don't fall apart! That's great construction. Also, the 3-roll set was surprisingly big, as I struggled to finish it. The unagi? Very creamy and soft, without an overwhelming sticky-sweet taste that can sometimes come from unagi sauce. But that didn't mean it wasn't seasoned well. It still was perfectly tasty. The sushi though? Mmmm... that's the reason I'm taking 2 stars out. The fish weren't the freshest. The rice, unseasoned, thereby creates a strong fishy-flavor which normally would be balanced out by well-seasoned rice. Given that the lunch sushi set was the most expensive, I would have expected it to be the most delicious, but that turned out not to be. If you want rolls, go for it. They're very good on that front. During lockdown, our go-to sushi spot was temporarily closed. After a few failed attempts to acquire quality sushi in NOVA, I did a deep dive on Yelp to find sushi that was worthy and finally settled on Passion Fin. I loved how robust their menu was - from the appetizers, combos and special rolls. There was so much to choose from, but I ultimately decided on the Spicy Roll Combo (spicy tuna, spicy salmon and spicy California), a Redskins Roll and a Sunrise Roll. On this Friday night, they were really busy and the wait for a pick up was 45 minutes to an hour, but we were determined. I placed the order at 5:45 PM, and was told to call upon arrival for curbside pick up. My fiance arrived early, and patiently waited for our sushi. It did take a little over an hour from order time, but considering the circumstances I can't complain! My fiance noted that the restaurant had tables set up as a barricade between customers and employees, all employees were wearing masks and gloves, and the pens were even separated by "clean" and "dirty". Fifteen minutes later, he was home and we were ready to dig in! It was love at first bite. Every single piece of sushi I ate was phenomenal - the Redskins roll by far was my absolute favorite, but I would order any of the items again. I love to come here for lunch or dinner. I have never been disappointed either way. The sushi and the hibachi meal has always been fresh and filling. The drinks are also excellent. The only thing I would suggest is the option to choose any options or variety for the hibachi meal. We used to frequent a hibachi restaurant in NY that have us that option. My daughter does not eat sushi but loves to come here with me for the hibachi meal. We both end up having to settle for the limited hibachi choices on the menu.
