I can't say enough amazing things about Paseo! The food is truly a hidden gem in Downtown Disney and well worth the price. Would definitely recommend making a reservation, if you know you want to eat here otherwise you should expect to wait! It has an open kitchen and inside over looks Downtown Disney! We got the pulpo (octopus) this time and it was so tender and cooked perfectly. It was paired with a nice punchy veg. We got the short rib and cochinita pibil, which were both very tender. It came with house made corn and flour tortillas. My favorite entree was the short rib! It paired super well with the corn tortilla and the beans, and just had a great overall flavor profile. Would definitely recommend getting the steak tartare with black truffle. It's AMAZING!! The brioche bread is toasted to perfection and the tartare with the sauce... it's so good!

We came on a Friday night and was able to make same day reservation for 8 which was great. Right in the middle of downtown Disney which was nice. Food was delicious (thought a bit pricey): Appetizers - Guac with Panela - Guac with Cripsy Pork Belly ~ loved this one. This made the Guac also tastes smoky which we liked They have unlimited chips but didn't give salsa with it Mains: Camerones Con Pipian (the shrimp was delicious! Wasn't a big fan of the spaghetti squash), smoked salmon pate, cochinta pobhil, chicken mole, lamb barbacoa, enchiladas de pollo All the mains had great quality, beautifully presented and pretty large portions Sides: pinto beans, Brussels sprouts, papas fritas (very garlicy and delicious), esquites They gave us a small scoop of ice cream for celebrating a birthday which was sweet.

A quick update on a recent dining experience. Made reservations for lunch on a Saturday and was seated after a short wait. Our server was kind and helpful. However, we waited a long time to place our entrée orders, and the food took forever to arrive. A couple of tables seated after us finished their meals before we even got our entrées. I'm wondering what went wrong with the efficiency. That said, the food was still delicious. I ordered the carne asada tacos, and they were cooked as requested and flavorful. The hot sauce was a nice addition too. The kids in our party enjoyed their meals, too. The kids' waffle arrived at room temperature, but the little one didn't mind. We also enjoyed the aguachile, Paseo burger, and fruit salad. They have some nice house cocktails that a couple of people in our group enjoyed. We were celebrating a birthday, and our server kindly brought a small scoop of sorbet with a candle and a greeting. No singing staff. Overall, it was an okay experience, but not as amazing as the last couple of times. I'll be hesitant to return soon and will probably only go for a special occasion. Hopefully, the service is more efficient next time.

The service was fantastic -- our server was attentive, friendly, and impressively knowledgeable. And that, ladies and gentlemen, concludes the good part of this review. Please exit through the gift shop. The Wine: A Masterclass in Fuzzy Math. We ordered a glass of Pinot Noir. Our server asked the fateful question: 6oz or 9oz? The 6oz is $14. The 9oz is $24. Now, I didn't bring a calculator to dinner, but 14/6 = x/9 gives you x = $21. So where does the extra $3 come from? Are the last three ounces aged in oak? Hand-delivered by a sommelier on a velvet pillow? Is there a surcharge for the privilege of feeling fancy? Somebody explain the economics here, because my wallet is confused and my liver is offended. The Food: A Journey From "Nope" to "Meh" to "Okay Fine." The bread that came with the steak tartare was so oily I couldn't finish a single slice. One bite in, and I was already planning my escape. The tuna ceviche was... okay. The kind of okay that you forget about before the plate is even cleared. The pork shank, I'll give credit where it's due -- it was actually pretty good, and clearly the crowd favorite, judging by how many tables ordered it. Congratulations to the pork shank. You're the valedictorian of a very mediocre graduating class. The Décor: Beautiful. Suspiciously Beautiful. The place is gorgeously decorated. Of course it is. It's inside Downtown Disney -- the décor is basically contractually obligated to be adorable. Too bad the food didn't get the same memo. The Verdict: Great server, stunning room, and a wine list with its own tax bracket. The whole experience was like a beautifully wrapped gift box with a sock inside. Overrated? Slightly.

We have loved this place in the past however this particular time for dinner the food and service was not quite on par with their 5 star rating. Their Caesar salad is delicious, tasty and fresh. We loved their Ny strip carne asada. It was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. I recommend it. The waiter got one steak wrong and forgot one steak was the ribeye. So one person had to wait 15 minutes as we all ate our steaks first. The chicken mole entree last was great but this time it was small portioned and very dry. There was little mole sauce on the meat. The waiter overcharged me for my drink. I ordered one drink, but was charged for two. At this point, it wasn't worth arguing over a drink, and we wanted to leave so we paid the $800 bill. The outside patio ambiance is amazing but most of the interior is inside the restaurant. We were seated deep inside so it is just ok to be inside with no view of downtown Disney.

Starting off the hostess' were very sweet. Nicole took care of us and she was nice. Came when necessary and made sure we were satisfied. I got the sangria and this was good, but not too strong. I personally felt like I was drinking juice, but it wasn't bad. We got the steak and it was good. Seasoned well, I had asked for it to be cooked to medium but felt like it was cooked at medium rare. A little too much fat for me. They gave a great dipping sauce on the side and their cauliflower appetizer was delicious. The sauce put on the bottom of this was amazing!! Wow. Thank you Paseo!

Background On Chef/Owner: Chef Carlos is the first Mexican-born chef to earn a Michelin star. A 2013 contestant on BRAVO's Top Chef and appearing as a judge on cooking shows in the US and Mexico, he's become a widely recognized ambassador of Mexican cuisine throughout the world. "We show people love through food, and food helps them love my homeland." Background On Paseo Restaurant: Through an unfiltered expression of his native food and culture, Chef Carlos brings a true Mexican dining experience to the Downtown Disney District -- taking guests on a multisensory journey to the heart of his home country. From fresh shrimp ceviche to savory cochinita pibil, each dish is thoughtfully and artfully crafted. Contemporary rich woods, custom leathers, lavish greenery, and native accents celebrate Mexico's warm climate and culture. Reservation: They partnered up with open table. You can reserve through their website or on the phone. Location/Parking: Located where Catal use to be located at. It's also near Céntrico and Tiendita. Parking can be found in the Downtown Disney lot. Ambiance/Decor: Nice ambiance with modern furnishings. Main dining area is on the 2nd floor. You can use the elevator or the beautiful staircase. I also like how there was a enclosed glass kitchen, where you can see the kitchen staffers at work. Service: Service was good. Nicole was friendly, attentive, and offered great suggestions. Food came out at a decent time. Food Of Choice: 1) Steak Tartare ($25): Consists of NY strip tartare, charred onion & black truffle aioli, tangerine purée, chives, and 3 triangle cut brioche toast. Thought the steak Tartare was very good! What made the small plate even better was the use of the toasted brioche bread. Kinda reminded me of the bread used for a grilled cheese sandwich. :) 2) Carne Asada ($66): 12 oz new york steak with hoja santa & quesillo doblada, goat cheese fondue, oven-roasted tomatoes, shishito peppers, and fingerling potatoes. Steak was nicely seasoned and tender. Loved the fingerling potatoes. 3) Cochinita pibil ($42): The Guerrero-style pork shank literally fell off the bone and was quite flavorful. My only complaint was that it didn't coming with enough corn tortillas. It only came with 3. If you wanted more, it would be an extra cost. Paseo For Thought: I wouldn't mind coming back to try more food.

New York steak

First, our server Joel was very attentive and friendly. The food was really good. My sons split the ribeye and they said it was great. I had the New York steak and I really enjoyed it. My only negative criticism is that I should get some free tortillas with a 58 dollar carne asada plate. The ambiance is fun and bright. There are big windows that look out over downtown Disney.

Waited over an hour after being told it would be a 20-30 min wait time.

After a long day at the park with our kids and parents, we ventured for a good restaurant to eat before heading back to watch the fireworks. After looking up places to eat, we decided on Paseo due to the great reviews of the food and service. For context, we didn't make a reservation which was our fault, but understood that there'd likely be a wait due to it being dinner time and a Saturday night. We were told by the hostess up front that the wait time would be around 20-30 minutes and my husband put his phone number down to be texted when our table was ready. 30 minutes pass and we figured they were busy because we didn't hear from them. Waited another 15 min and decided to check on where we were at on the list only to be told that we were the first and that she was just getting through those who made reservations. Fair enough. So we waited a little over an hour now and still no text.. Went up again because at this point we've waited twice as long as they quoted the wait would be. I also got a little snarky attitude from her and her excuse was "well that was the time I was given upstairs. I see your table is being set up. Just waiting on the servers." At this point, we were starving and our kids were growing impatient and hungry too. Not long after I checked we FINALLY got a text back that our table was ready. We checked in and were told to go upstairs. Once we got there we were greeted by a male host and I confirmed our names for our table and he said he'll go ahead and check our table to see if it's ready. During this time, other guests have checked in and were being led to their tables by another female hostess-- our male one was nowhere to be found. I had to check in again with the female hostess and finally she led us to our table. This has now been about another 10 or so minutes of waiting to just get seated to our table. (On our way to our table we saw the original male hostess we talked to just standing around not doing anything) Once we got to our table... The table they were getting ready for over an hour, my husband pulled his seat to sit down and found a straw wrapper and a little bit of food on it. It took another10 minutes to meet our waitress, who was really nice, but definitely not as attentive as other nicer restaurants we've been to. I did not feel the service was up to par from other reviews we read prior to coming. Maybe they were short staff thar day? Who knows but we were definitely gaslit into thinking we were only waiting 20-30 minutes and not one person apologized for the long wait time. Can't say much about the food. I really wanted to like it, but the pork on their popular item the Mama's Cochinits was dry compared to my MIL's who got the same thing. The consistency was just not there that night. Sangria was good but that was about it. I don't write bad reviews often, but when I do, it must have been a really bad experience. We aren't locals so know we won't be back but save yourself and eat somewhere else.

Prob the best dining experience I had visiting Disneyland with the fam. Fantastic dishes all around, we got: queso fundido, pulpo, ceviche, and the carne asada -- every dish was fantastic. Service was attentive and quick. A fly suicided into my wife's drink and they replaced it super quickly. The place had a very clean modern vibe and the decor was beautiful and elegant. I would go to downtown Anaheim again just to eat here, though we come here mainly for our daughter to enjoy Disneyland. This can be the nice bonus for us parents. :)

From the modern and beautifully designed interior to the warm and attentive service, every aspect of our experience was exceptional. The food was absolutely outstanding. Each dish was beautifully presented and felt truly elevated, and the staff provided thoughtful and detailed explanations that made the entire dining experience even more special. They also checked on us throughout the meal to make sure everything was perfect and that we had everything we needed. Even the restroom was beautifully designed, which was a lovely reflection of the attention to detail throughout the entire restaurant. This is definitely going to be my new go-to spot. I'm already looking forward to coming back!

The environment was relaxing and beautiful to take in. The food had so much flavor. The drinks were strong but not to over power the flavors. The staff were all kind and very attentive. Definitely suggest to try a different take on Hispanic/ seafood.

Scotty took what was already a great date night and made it truly memorable. Not only was he the best server we've had since we started dining at Puesto, but I'd go so far as to say he was one of the best servers I've ever had anywhere. Scotty had a calm, understated demeanor that was part of his charm. He was genuine, attentive, extraordinarily kind, and somehow managed to keep my Diet Coke with lime full the entire evening. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and was always there at just the right moment. Best of all, he laughed at my dad jokes. While the food was outstanding, Scotty made the experience even better. His service elevated an already great meal into an exceptional evening. We will absolutely be requesting Scotty's section every time we visit Puesto Anaheim.

My mom had tried their food through her work before and had been raving about it, so she was really excited to finally bring my dad and me. Before heading over, I called to ask if they were busy since my mom had to work later that day. I was told there wasn't and that tables were available, so we decided to stop by. None of us had actually been to the restaurant before, so we weren't familiar with how their dine in process worked. We originally planned to take our food to go, but while I was still at the register finishing our order, we changed our minds. The restaurant was very clean and had a nice ambiance, so we decided we wanted to stay and enjoy our meal there. I immediately let the employee at the register know and she told me that was completely fine, to take a seat and that they would bring our food and check to us. When I walked over to the table, another staff member was already speaking with my mom about us sitting there. We explained that this was our first time and that the employee at the register had just told us to take a seat. She explained that dine in customers are supposed to wait outside to be seated, but the way she spoke to my mom and me was unnecessarily rude. There was an uncomfortable back and forth while we tried to explain that we genuinely didn't know the process and were simply following what we had just been told. She eventually rolled her eyes and walked away. About 10 minutes later, another staff member brought out my mom's food along with chips and salsa, which we hadn't received while we were waiting. We expressed our frustration with the overall communication and service and she apologized, which we appreciated. She also explained the dine in process again and we completely understood. We would have had no problem following it from the beginning had we known. What made it even more frustrating was that while we were eating, we watched other customers walk in and immediately be greeted and given directions about where to sit. That was literally all we needed when we first walked in, especially as first time customers. The restaurant itself was very clean and my mom really enjoyed her food. Unfortunately, I couldn't really enjoy mine after how uncomfortable the experience had already made us feel. My mom had been so excited to bring us here, which made it even more disappointing. The issue wasn't their dine in process, it was the way the situation was handled. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return.

Came in for a little date night on a Saturday evening. The whole staff was friendly and accommodating, always quick to refill drinks or clear empty plates. We started off with some delicious and spicy oysters which were topped with a shrimp! We also had to try the Chori-brussels which are flash fried Brussels sprouts with chorizo, balsamic reduction, and Oaxacan cheese. For drinks we got a Santo Dia, a whiskey based cocktail with watermelon, lime, and fizz served over ice. We also ordered the Spicy margarita which had watermelon habanero, lime, and hibiscus flavors. They were both delicious and refreshing, the spicy marg had a good kick to it. For dinner we got a caesar salad, the ribeye plate, and the Urbana burger. We both loved the dressing on the caesar, it's made in house and it shows. The ribeye was cooked perfectly with a delicious herb butter on top, a really good steak sauce on the side, and thick cut fries. The ribeye wasn't the highest quality but it tasted good, the fries were perfect. My fiancé got the burger which had chorizo, melted queso Oaxaca, and an egg on top. Not gonna lie it was absolutely delish! I want to come back just for the burger. All in all we had a great time and I would definitely come back for some other menu items, especially to try more of their margs and specialty cocktails. Thanks Urbana!
