I called them and explained it stopped working so they told me to bring the car back to get it revised. When I brought it back they explained to me I have a leak that they didn't catch in the diagnostic test ($160) that I paid for. Now they are quoting me $747 to fix the problem. Without any Signs whatsoever-- no Odd Sound or Smell, let alone any Warning Lights on the Dash-- I had to press my Accelerator all the way to the Floor just to get it to go 5-10mph in LA Rush Hour Traffic from Midtown to Van Nuys for an Appointment. It ran just fine getting onto the 101... which I absolutely should not have Gambled, but Gonzo is as Gonzo does. It ran just as Smoothly as Normal later in the Evening with Cooler Temperatures and Clear Roads, so I took it to Autozone immediately after my Appointment to get a Reading. It came up with CODE: P0840 "Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/ Switch "A" Circuit," which came as a complete Relief since I've dealt with Transmission Failures before. Art was the first (by several hours) of 4 Mechanics to Respond to my Yelp Inquiry with a far more Thorough Message than the others. Uniq is located in Glendale, so with Gas Prices being what they are during this Absurd War I had really hoped for anything Closer. But after several Yelp Messages and a Phone Call, Art was already proving to be the Most Professional Mechanic ahead of time. He was as Jovial as he was Informative with his Initial Diagnoses... and given that his Inspection would be Free on top of a completely Expected Estimate and just how clearly he made it that Uniq Motors would get the Job Done right no matter whether the Problem was Fluid, Electrical, or Mechanical, I coordinated with him to bring my Vehicle in that Afternoon. Uniq Motors is located within a 20 minute walk to the Glendale Galleria and Americana where I have AMC A-List, so I was quite pleased with being able to take in a Movie in the Ensuing Hours it would take his Transmission Specialist to Elucidate what was going on and how to fix it. The Kicker? Art had his new Intern, Edgar, drive me to the Theater. It meant so much for this Enthusiastic young man to express his Gratitude for being given Purpose at his new job by giving me an Air Conditioned ride to the Venue. That young man's Pride in working with Uniq spoke so many Volumes of what kind of Ship that Art runs. Several Hours later, I returned to Uniq where this "Home Away from Home" for his Mechanics was filled with the smell of Pizza they had just gotten. Art was somewhat Aghast at how many times he'd had to Flush the Transmission Fluid... 4-5 times, with Fluid so Black and Thick that it had most likely Never been Serviced in the 135K miles it had taken on before I purchased it from a Private Seller in January earlier this year. I made myself Comfortable on his Office Couch while waiting for them to Flush the Transmission completely Clean. They'd had to add enough New Fluid to necessitate going slightly over the original Estimate, which was absolutely Understandable. They also found that the Transmission Casing had a small Leak, so he included that on the Receipt Printout for Future Reference on keeping my Chariot Serviced. I could feel the Improvement in my Car's Performance immediately. I had Zero Doubts whatsoever that I would make it back home in Midtown without a Hitch... and now I'm experiencing a *severely* Improved MPG. My wife and I use to take our Mercedes GLK and Mazda CX-5 to the dealerships for service because we did not know any better. But Will is one independent mechanic I can trust. Will has the expertise and skill to diagnose and repair our 13-year old vehicles. Older vehicle requires more attention and expertise to repair and Will is the right mechanic to handle the job. We had a trip in July to Mammoth Lakes and I had asked Will to thoroughly check out the Mazda prior to the trip. I had performance issues with the Mazda and Will was able to assess that the alternator was bad, the spark plugs were worn and the rear brakes were just about gone. I just got back from the trip and I must say the vehicle accelerated up the mountain peaks so well that I began to wonder what in the world was the dealership service doing to my vehicle all those years? Recommendation: Don't keep calling Will about when your car will be ready or keep calling him to ask how much this or that will cost. Will is very busy working on cars. He will call you when your car is completely ready and he will itemize the repairs and explain all costs in detail. Will will save you money because he gets to the root of the problem and his labor rate is considerable cheaper than any dealership. You will have peace of mind that your car will drive reliably and perform if you let Will repair your car.

I'll educate you on this auto repair shops have a relationship with parts dept/delaerships, they get about an 60% off on parts because of the amount of parts they'll be ordering as a whole, and then course they charge you the part as the normal regular market price. Long story short they have to make a profit and keep all business going. Helping the customer with whatever needs they have is in the past, it just no longer works that way. So if you have parts and you need them install this is not the place for you, if you know nothing about cars and servicing this may be the place for you, little tip before showing up you have to make an appointment with the vehicle doctor.
