Junior was very helpful! I decided to reach out and received response within 20 minutes. I messaged them with the symptoms of my truck and junior explained it could be a few things. He recommended I drop the car off so that he can diagnose my truck. The next day Junior called me and explained the issue. He gave me a few options and what they could do to help. A few days later my truck was ready to go! I did not feel pressured and they didn't make it seem like there was so much work to do like every other mechanic. If you're a potential customer and wondering if you're going to get swindled and charge a lot of money your not. Junior and his team are very honest! And genuinely want to help Thanks junior!

Had a 327 SBC rebuilt. Top end kit was all aftermarket. Car runs like a dream engine, was perfect!!!! Cant wait to have him build my 454. Thanks brother.

It's almost a month since I got my truck back from the shop. Jr. drove the truck 400 miles to test it, I just put 700 more and got an oil change. No check engine lights, I have 6 months warranty... The truck vibrates on idle (never had this problem in the past), i will make an appointment because I also I found an oil leak.

Engine before and after Franco's rebuild.

Jr Thanks for hooking me up. Excellent customer service, I needed help and he took care of me. Brought in a little Chevy 4 banger and Jr made it like new in no time. I came to him with a problem and he was able to help me out, my truck is my everyday beater and I needed to take care of the engine asap. Just hit 5000 miles on this little inline 4. Thanks again JR and will definitely be bringing you all my business and recommending you to family and friends.

Honda D16Y7 surface and rebuild

Jr. Runs a great machine shop. Had to take a Honda D16y7 head in to be surfaced and rebuilt. He found some problem valves and replaced it with stock he had on hand. Needless to say the car with 250K has a new lease on life and runs great.

Head gasket leaking at 15k. Reason they do a 12k warranty.

Not what I expected. Wasn't gonna post but heck,, not everyone is lucky. Had to many issues. Spent over 100 dollars on lyft rides back and forth. First they took 4 months. Which is fine, I'm a patient person, but when I got my car, felt like they rushed it. Had issues from the beginning. First issue,,, oil in spark plugs, motor mount bolt missing. Second time I took it back,, car was not heating up. Turns out they used a thermostat that was always open. Car was not heating up at all. Called and was told he had no room to park my car. So, I had my mechanic change it. Changed it to a dealer bought oem type. Once that happened, decided to look under the cat and do an inspection and noticed missing parts,,, example, intake L-bracket support missing, o2 sensor clip missing, upper radiator hose c-clamp missing,, and thats a few that i remeber. Was charged an extra 45 dollars to change the torque mount because they had to "raise the transmission",, but after checking it,, they changed the driver side,,, no transmission on that side last time I checked. So when I started to check fluids, anti freeze, noticed pressure being build up. That's when the back and forth started. Long story short, they said nothing is wrong then they blamed my mechanic for not installing the thermostat properly. They claimed the engine over heated that's why the head gasket started to leak,,, funny thing though, the heat tab was perfectly fine. Not burnt, not messed with. But why argue,, they changed the head gasket,, and now it's been a while,, just city driving,, and it's leaking,,, at 15k after rebuild. Why would a car leak at 15k after a rebuild? Would expect like at 30k or 40k but 15k?.yeah yeah,,, I know it's a 12k warranty but dam!!. It's been more than a year but still,,, pretty disappointed. Have to deal with smoke from oil burns. I think 3 stars because they fixed the problems,, but not 5 start results. Guess I wasn't that lucky. Oh yeah,,last thing, my car is white,,, got it back pretty dirty. Hand prints on bumper, fenders, hood, my trunk carpet looked like they used it to store parts in it. But hey, you win some, you lose some.

RTMotorworks - Alignment done for this brand new Juniper

I was hoping I just needed brake pads for the front and hopefully not all 4 wheels at the time. They were very responsive and the quote was comparable to other places, if not better. Decided to take it in on a Friday in the morning. Checked my wheels and told me I just needed the front brake pads and rotors replaced. The back was still good. Sigh of relief somewhat. They were able to get the pads and rotors replaced for little under 3 hours. Time went by and they were updating me during the whole time. Great service and team here. Will definitely bring my car back in to get other services done. No issues whatsoever with the new pads and rotors.

PROBLEM: ALIGNMENT ISSUES, CUSTOMER SERVICE, ACCOUNTABILITY…read more When I first tried to leave a review, my account was somehow blocked from posting specifically for RTM, while I could still review other businesses. I contacted Yelp, and by coincidence, the representative I spoke with was also RTM's Yelp rep. He said it was strange that I couldn't post only for RTM. After I explained my situation, he advised me not to leave a review and instead take the matter to small claims court--which I did. During the hearing, the judge seemed to understand my side, but the ruling ultimately favored RTM. Despite being advised not to post this, I'm sharing my experience here because the situation still doesn't sit right with me--especially given Yelp's controversial review practices. On 10/1/25, my rear right adjustable control arm snapped. My car has aftermarket wheels, tires, and suspension components, so a precise alignment is critical to ensure proper fitment without rubbing the fender. I initially went to TM Auto (located across from RTM) for the control arm replacement. After installation, TM took my car to RTM for alignment. I specifically asked them to match the rear right alignment to the rear left, which was set at -2.8 degrees. When I went to pick up my car, I immediately noticed the rear right wheel did not match the rear left. The camber was visibly off. I pointed this out to the technician, but he insisted the alignment was correct and that there were no machine or human errors. After repeated requests, they put the car back on the rack, but instead of rechecking, two additional technicians came out and dismissed my concerns with questionable explanations: "Toyota made the fenders uneven." "Your control arm is made in Taiwan/China--what do you expect?" Despite putting the car back on the rack, they never rechecked the alignment. They simply removed the car and stood by their original claim. With no resolution, I had no choice but to drive the car home. Because the alignment was incorrect, my tires rubbed against the fender the entire way. The next day, I found heat damage, paint cracking, and visible wear on the fender. I came back the next day to talk to Richard (the owner) hoping he would recheck everything, but it was apparent he was "too busy"--despite clearly having time to talk with other customers and then continue working on another car, while ignoring me. I waited outside RTM for over an hour trying to speak with him. When the TM Auto manager asked if he had seen the damage, his response was, "Yeah, so what?"--with no concern at all. After is when I left, and was forced to go to another shop to realign--more driving, more damage done. I used a camber gauge and measured -2.8 degrees on the rear left and -2.0 degrees on the rear right. To confirm, I took the car to my trusted shop, Chewerks in La Habra, where they verified the rear right camber was indeed -2.0 degrees and did not match the left side. Their measurements matched mine exactly. Because RTM refused to recheck or correct their work, this improper alignment caused damage to my car. The rear left side tucks properly, while the rear right sticks out about half an inch, which led directly to the rubbing and damage. I had clear documentation and evidence, but the court still ruled in RTM's favor. I chose not to appeal to avoid spending more time on the matter. A nearby body shop, Cenco Auto Body, quoted over $1,800 to repair the fender (with another shop giving a similar estimate), confirming the extent of the damage. What could have been a simple recheck turned into a costly mistake. Despite everything, RTM did not offer any compensation or attempt to make things right. Seeing RTM's highly rated Yelp profile made their response even more surprising. They're quick to take your money with a smile when things go well, but when issues arise--as in my case--they deny responsibility and make no effort to make things right (In my case, they didn't take money directly, but a receipt was given to TM Auto, and I had to pay TM Auto--which is the same as paying RTM directly). TM Auto went as far as offering RTM to help cover the repair costs, but RTM still refused. TM Auto didn't have to step in for someone else's mistake, yet they still tried--that says everything. Richard (the owner) had my contact information through the small claims process, yet he never made any effort to contact me--even before we went to assigned court date. After what happened, I'm relieved I didn't bring my other cars first--especially since those cars are of higher value. It seems RTM has many satisfied customers, along with a smaller number of unhappy ones. Hopefully, you don't end up in the latter group like me. FWIW: Following the incident, I contacted Hunter to verify when RTM's rack was last calibrated. Abel (rep) advised that its calibration was set to expire later that month. This raises the possibility that their rack may have been out of calibration.

It is SO difficult to find a mechanic you can trust; when you find one, you should never let go…read more The two people I spoke with, David (owner) and Enrique were so transparent and communicative with their services, pricing, and explanations that I quickly felt at ease discussing my car issues. Situation: a few weeks ago, my car broke down in the middle of the freeway. David stayed open an extra 30 minutes after closing so I could tow my car and leave it overnight in his shop. When I arrived, he was warm and welcoming as if I hadn't just delayed his workday by half an hour -- on a SUNDAY no less! I can tell integrity and diligence are very important to him: the next business day after performing diagnostics, he determined my engine had seized. David could've easily made a quick buck by charging me for a total engine replacement, but instead he called me immediately to explain that my repair could be covered under my manufacturer warranty and advised me to try going there first. I was already appreciative by that point -- but what sealed the deal was realizing his whole team shares this integrity and dedication to service. Later that week, I called Expeditious Auto Repair to inquire about other maintenance services. Enrique picked up and was just as kind and patient as David was, explaining which services I requested they do and don't provide. Never once did I feel like they were trying to upsell me OR rush me off the phone. Ironically, this guaranteed that I'll be spending all my money here for car maintenance from now on!
