I got locked out. Again. Steve showed up on time and got the door open within minutes and even made me a set of two new keys and replaced the lever. Very reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone. read more

Quick service..... Made it to my house within the hour of phone call to take out a broken key stuck inside the lock. Steve was very efficient. He even fixed another lock while he was here free of charge. Will definitely use them again. read more

I used yelp quotes and got a response on a Sunday and they were here the next day to set up my new home with new locks. Great service, nice guys, couldn't be happier. read more

I needed to change two locks and have copies of keys made. It was easy and quick to set up an appointment and everything went smoothly and promptly. read more

Steve was the best. Clear and fair, quickly setup an appointment and was done rekeying 2 locks in 20 mins. Definitely recommend them!

Fantastic locksmiths: talented and professional! Nick came promptly after I called to have our locks changed. He was courteous and detail-oriented. A couple of our locks are old and complicated, but Nick had absolutely no trouble taking the doorknob and lock completely apart and re-assembling it. About 6 months later, I needed help with a broken lock and met Steve. He, too, went above and beyond my expectations, going the extra mile to make sure the lock was working perfectly before leaving. Both such pleasant encounters! Will definitely call on them again for any related issues. Highly recommend! read more

Great service and nice people. They have all the stuff I need for my 1920's house door locks etc

Steve was super helpful. He was able to find a handle for an older sliding door. We can't imaging using any other service.

Came in to get a new key made and it took less than a minute and cost only $2.45! Great!

Very professional, fast, and affordable service. They were able to get here in 20 minutes due to a cancelled appointment, and took the time to explain how my lock works and exactly what was wrong with it. read more

This place is amazing. They totally saved me. I was locked out of my bathroom and they came after hours. Steve the owner is helpful and thoughtful. Andre who is often at the counter when I need new keys always remembers my name. I wouldn't use another locksmith. Been using these guys for Years. read more

Earlier today I had broke my Key off in my car door. Like an idiot I had let my AAA membership expire. Instead of dealing with them and fixing that I found Pasadena Lock Shop. At the time I was in Altadena and decided to give them a call. One of their locksmith was out on a call not far from me and swear he was there within 10 minutes. My stress went away. It was not expensive and Steve the lock guy was super cool. I highly recommend them. read more

Quick and cheap. I needed copies of my 78 Datsun that the larger hardware store wouldn't touch and the smaller hardware store didn't have in stock. They replaced my cracked and twisted key with copies superior to the original. read more

I called regarding a Medeco issue that I inherited from the previous owner of my house. Seems there are many keyways from different lock shops, and Pasadena Lock gave me several options to consider and to call back once I decided including contacting other lockshops. Medico is expensive, and after some research, I had Pasadena Lock come out and solved the issue with one key, and I might add $158.00 less than my other quotes. And the individuals keys were less too; and the employees were polite and knew their stuff. I shall put them in my home list to call in the future. Thank you. Russell read more

Solid. Excellent customer service from when I first called until the job was done. Nick came out and fixed our locks and gave me some tips on how to maintain. Highly recommend this locksmith. read more

I have been dealing with so many people who promise one thing and do another. They either charge more than they promise, show up hours late, do a crappy job, or all three. Steve was a total breath of fresh air. Punctual, efficient, kind, and affordable, I'm happier just knowing he exists. I wholeheartedly recommend him! read more

Andre took our broken 101 year old front door antique lock and was able to re-fabricate the set up using a variety of improvised hand-tooled parts. He fixed the tumblers, rekeyed it and made the entire unit function better than before. He stayed after hours to make sure we had our front door functioning before nightfall. THAT is good ol American service at its best. We drove 9 miles to get to this shop, and will continue to use Pasadena Lock Shop in the future for sure. Thanks Andre! read more

What a neat, friendly lock shop. Andrea was so helpful and wonderful. Thank you for the great service!

What a disaster! I have been a faithful Yelp user for a couple of years now, and until this experience I have always found I could trust the ratings...until now. All I can think is that this business must have changed owners, employees, and management since the last Yelp review, because they had 4 stars and this company was a nightmare to work with. Without boring you with every detail of the last WEEK of trying to get someone to return a call and/or come out; here's the break down. I spoke to 3 different men at the company (I will not give names) who all gave me different stories on what the job would cost, and what the job would involve. It took six days for someone to finally show up, then they didn't show up prepared. They were not friendly, talked over me, and were just plain inconsiderate. I felt like I was the outsider to this "good ole boys club". When I did work up the courage to speak regarding the quote/quotes given, and the service, they abruptly addressed SOME of the issues, and acted like they were doing me a favor. It sickens me to say this, but buyer beware. These people live in their own little world, and if you are "lucky enough" to be graced by their locksmith services, you may just find yourself thinking....did that just really happen? read more

Just moved to Pasadena and got locked out of my apartment at night. I gave Pasadena Lock Shop a call and Steve, the owner, picked up and came out in 15 minutes and got me into my apartment. This place is efficient, inexpensive, and has great customer service. I recommend this shop to anyone. Steve is a great guy! read more

Excellent, fast, reasonably priced service. I needed a duplicate Honda key and the dealer not only could not do it but wanted to charge labor hours to dismantle my lock mechanism. Pasadena lock shop got me a perfect duplicate key in less than two minutes! read more

This is and update to my review from a year ago. As you will see below. I decided to rekey my door and ask for Stwve the owner whoni received great service from in the past and unfortunately he was not available and got the store manager. I made an appointment for after work at 7pm and then recieved a text at 7pm to say he would be 45min late to the appointment. I explained how this would be an inconvenience to me and asked if there way anyway for someone to get to me close to my appointment time. I was advised no and that was the only thing that could be and to take it or leave it. I then ask would I receive some kind of discount for the disservice and was told no other company would do it for the price they quoted me and that was it. The store manager had a bad attitude over the phone and I guess didn't feel as if customer serviced applied after 7pm at night. I then hung up the phone and contacted another company I found on yelp with great review and not only did they say they could get to me soon but would do the work for a lower price. Shame on Pasadena Lock Shop for you lack of service and respect for your customers time. Old review from a year ago Pasadena Lock Shop is the best. Steve Came out after hours to replace a lock on my door which stop working so We could not use the back door. I was late for my appointment due to the rain and extra traffic and Steve Waited and hour to make sure I could use my door. He even fit the bottom lock because it was fully working properly. Thanks for all your help Steve and my dog thanks you too. Great Customer Service. I would use Steve anytime. read more

Great people, great service. I was having problems with a deadbolt. They came out same day, showed up on time, fixed the existing lock (instead of trying to sell me a new one), and gave me tips on maintaining my old locks. Exceptional professionalism. read more

Easy in, easy out! fast and prompt service. Got 2 sets of keys made in record time. Well priced too! Thanks!

The bottom lock on my front door broke and I was unable to open the door. Nick came right on time and fixed the problem right away. He installed a new lock. He was very professional and gave helpful hints as to what I can do to repair an issue with the door that was causing it to rub. Price was more than fair. I highly recoomend this company and Nick! read more

Super nice and accommodating! FYI there's only about 2 parking spots and there's a minimum purchase required for credit card.

I will be coming here for all my future lock and key needs. Brought a door lock into the store to have it re-keyed. Fast and friendly service! Duplicate keys are only $2 each. Good work at an affordable price, and it feels good to support a local business. Highly recommend Pasadena Lock Shop! read more

Steve was friendly, professional, responsive, on time, and very mindful of our budget. He went the extra mile and gave us some knobs/locks for free (that he had in his truck). when he heard that we were going to replace them anyway down the line. Highly recommend this business. read more

Let me start off by saying, Steve provided prompt and courteous service. I was in desperate need of a lock smith since my 2 year old nieces locked themselves in a bedroom. Steve was able to get to my house in less than 15 minutes. Needless to say I was pretty frantic, but luckily he was there lickety split and charged a fair price. Thank you Steve. read more

We called the company on a Sunday night and were directly helped by the owner, Steve. He gave us a quote over the phone and we had an appointment set a few minutes after the call. Steve arrived on time and discovered that we had additional locks that we hadn't accounted for and only charged us $10 more than the original quote. I know he must have eaten some costs to make us happy. Steve was friendly, efficient and got the job done quickly. I really appreciated his personal touch and highly recommend him and his company. read more

Steve was awesome! I locked myself out of my condo at around 8pm so I called Pasadena Lock Shop. I was worried that I would have to wait out in the cold for awhile but he showed up in 10 mins. and got me in my unit within minutes. Thank you! read more

Andre was super helpful and got a guy out to my house within an hour when I told him it was my front door I couldn't leave till it was fixed. The guys who came were great. The young guy very kind and helpful. The old guy did most of the work. He was as you imagine an old lock smith -- kind of crotchety, told me how cheap my door hardware is (it is!) and how he hates that brand. But he did the job and all is well read more

I called Pasadena Lock Shop to get some advice on how to deal with a key that was sticking in the lock of my front door. The company rep, Nick, patiently talked me through a game plan for checking the lock and key, and seeing if I could get it to work myself before having to bring the lock in for repairs. It was clear that he was more interested in solving the problem than making a quick buck. Very helpful and great customer service. I'll definitely choose them the next time I need a lock service. Thanks! read more

As efficient as can be!! Keys worked well too!!! If you need a key done, go to a pro!!!

I've used the services of Steve and his crew since I moved to LA for emergencies and for re-keying a new property. Always accurate, always service oriented. My most recent experience was while I was on business travel, my pet sitter was unable to get into the house. Steve had given me the code for replacement keys. I gave that to the pet sitting service; she texted Steve and he not only made a replacement key for her after hours, but asked her to let him know if the key worked. Of course it did. Who thinks about having the right locksmith in your life? I do. I was able to manage the entire incident from 2,000 miles away with confidence. Even I didn't expect him to make the key after hours, but we all slept well that night knowing that the animals were tended to and the house was secure. I'm very grateful. You will be, too, if you call Steve when you need a master locksmith. read more

Lock on my front door broke. They provided quick service. Replaced my lock. and were resonably priced. I would recommend them to anyone.

Awesome service! Called because the keys were locked in the house. Was desperately trying around to see if any locksmiths were available around 10:30PM, and while everyone advertises 24/7 availability, only these guys answered! Steve was prompt, courteous, and super professional! Reasonable price, fast, and overall great experience. I wouldn't hesitate to rely on these guys. Thanks again, Steve! read more
