I needed a code cut key for my car and they were all extremely nice and helpful. They were also the best priced in SGV. I will definitely be recommending them to everyone. read more

Had Good Lock & Key come out to add electronic locks and a few new hardware sets for both interior and exterior doors in our new home. Price was fair and transparent, and they were really friendly and helpful with guiding me with what hardware I needed to order ahead of time. He pointed out some differences when I accidentally bought the wrong style instead of installing it and not saying anything lol. Appreciate the great communication and timely work. Definitely our go-to locksmith. read more

Quick response, clear pricing and prompt service. I needed to get into a locked cabinet and communicated everything through the messenger on yelp. I appreciated that they were transparent and didn't have add on pricing but was clear in what the quote was for helping me unlock the cabinet. I recommend using them if you ever get locked out! read more

I needed to replace deadbolts on a couple of doors and found these guys through yelp. Highly rated and now I see why. They came out after about an hour after my initial inquiry and was finished in about 20 minutes. Service tech was quick, efficient and the price was reasonable. Would definitely recommend this place for all your key needs. read more

This place is a life safer!! I can't express how satisfied I am with there response time, customer service, professionalism and prompt time to get me a new coded key for my 2011 Nissan Sentra. My key was worn out and would not start my car. Mike, came out and took care of my situation in a jiffy. I highly recommend this place for any automotive locksmith you might need for your car. I will definitely be coming back when I'm in need and will recommend to friends and family. Thank you Good Lock & Key and thank you Mike!! read more

My call was picked up promptly and Milad ("Mike") said his technician Javier would be over in 30 minutes. We lucked out that Milad personally came himself to take care of us. We had 4 Kwikset locks replaced as well as a whole bunch of rekeys. Milad was professional and offered great suggestions. Reading on Yelp that Good Lock & Key is family owned and has been in business for over 20 years in Pasadena was a no brainer for me to go with this locksmith. There was a lot of work done on changing the locks for a house and making 8 keys on the spot. The itemized invoice was reasonable for the amount of materials and labor involved. If you need prompt professional service, I would highly recommend Milad and his family's company. read more

I had an amazing experience here. Staffs were nice and service was quick. I needed to make a copy for a remote car key. They gave me a decent deal on it. They do more than just duplicate keys. If you accidentally lock your car or etc..they could help you. They will go to you...if you need them to. I highly recommend this place. read more

Second time around not so great. My bad for not getting the quote reply before booking. Honestly, they did such a good job rekeying my house, it was $65 for the tech to show up, then per door lock key. I needed a deadbolt added and got a reply via Yelp, they would be out the next day. I didn't agree on a price first. Never ever make an assumption. I thought it would be around $150 for a 20 minute job. Nope! $220. The funny thing is I asked the technician the price when he was at his van. His answer was "I'll give you an invoice at the end" That should have been my second red flag. Just because you get a fair price once, doesn't mean it will happen again. (Reminds me of taking my car in for repairs, the first couple times, good deal, then the prices escalate). Do your due diligence. Update: after seeing my review, they offered a $50 rebate for not quoting price before doing the job. read more

Came here to get my mom's new car key cut and programmed for a 2017 Honda hrv. I ordered the key online but needed it to be programmed and cut. I'm so happy I came here. He was very helpful and honest. I drove from montebello and would do it again. The price for the new key was under $100. Definitely recommend this place read more

After reaching out to more than 10 locksmiths, this was the best price I found. They got the job done quickly and perfectly, and the key works great. On top of that, the service was genuinely thoughtful. It was a very hot day, and they offered water to me and my wife, which was a really nice gesture. Fast, affordable, and professional. I would definitely recommend them. read more

Great service! And Quick too! I needed to program a new Key fob, Not a super Emergency, I kinda broke the original trying to change the battery inside. I didnt have a spare so i bought 1 online (amazon) that matched the specs. Almost in a panic because i only had the 1! My neighborhood Locksmith was "too busy" to help me out, Luckily I found Good Lock! They offered immediate help! Javier & crew were very courteous & helpful! Much better than my neighborhood guys, So I drove over & he set it up & even cut a door key for me in under 10 minutes!! I think I found my new Locksmith guy! Mike was kind and quick. He made a new key for my car, programmed it in less than ten minutes. If you need an extra key, I'd go to him.

They were prompt and clear with estimate. They gave a good price, and then came right away and fixed our lock for us. We had a padlock we lost the key to, so they were a big help. read more

The service Mahmoud did was so professional , he did it with precision and fast, for 2 keys cut and programmed, he is so honest and felt at home at once , so i highly recommend this shop and the fee was very reasonable, the lowest in the shops I asked around read more

This was one of the few places that could make copies of your car key. Quality was good and having called earlier for the price, it seemed to be around the same every where. I didn't notice, but they do have parking through a small alley way right by their front door. If you're getting copies of a car key, park in their lot! I gave 4/5 stars only because you have to be careful as the owner's English is not very good and he had misunderstood what I had wanted. What was suppose to be under a $100 trip came out to be over $200 trip, which made it very frustrating and keys can obviously not be refunded. I did get a magnet key holder for free but still did not have a great experience due to the language barrier. read more

I was having troubles with my key for my car and drove past this key spot, I walked in and was greeted by the owner. I let him know about my issues I was having with my car and the key he quickly stepped into action and let me know what I needed He let me know the price and I told him it was fine. He got to work on my car and key. While I were waiting they offered us water, which was so nice but after he was done, he showed me himself what he did and he showed me the difference in my old key and my new key and told me why my car was acting that way. He also gave me a discount for being a first time customer I will definitely be coming back here. They are so nice and so helpful 10 out of 10. read more

"I was shopping around for a good locksmith in my area after someone tried breaking into my car and damaged the lock cylinder. Other places quoted me around $350. Then, I found Good Lock & Key on Yelp. I called them, and was shocked by how much more affordable their price was, so I decided to give them a try. When I arrived at the shop, the gentleman who helped me greeted me right away, asked me to take a seat, and immediately started working on my car. The entire process took less than 30 minutes. When he finished, he let me know the job was done. The lock looks great now, and he even keyed it to fit my original key. I would highly recommend Good Lock & Key to my friends!" read more

Javier did a great job and was very fast! I had a combination padlock that needed to be removed - he used a grinder and it took 1-2 minutes! This saved so much time since I was looking into a bolt cutter rental which would have been a bit of a hassle, I didn't know if it would work, or if I could get it done myself. What I also appreciated is that I preferred an email with a quote, and that's what I got! Some places called with no quote, some were way too high, and some wanted to check it out first - a really simple job and that wasn't necessary. (The grinder is a very cool tool!)., read more

Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience here. I called ahead for pricing on having a key programmed and cut for my vehicle and explained that I already had my own key fob. I was quoted $85. When I arrived, I was told my key was not compatible. He asked how much I paid and I said $20. I asked him if he had one that was compatible with my vehicle. Without discussing pricing or asking for approval he searched and searched for keys and unbeknownst to me proceeded to program it. Afterward, once he was done, he asked if I wanted it cut. Since the key had already been programmed, I agreed, assuming the replacement key would be reasonably priced and close to my $20 aftermarket one. Only after everything was finished did he tell me the total was $195. At no point was I informed beforehand that the replacement key would cost that much. The key was also not original. If there is going to be a major increase in price, customers should absolutely be consulted before work is completed. Customers deserve transparency and clear communication before additional work or charges are added. This situation could have been avoided with a simple conversation upfront. Instead the employee, kept blaming me and yelling at me in front of other customers for not asking how much. He said it was my responsibility as a customer to ask the price instead of the business being transparent upfront. Such a shady business tactic. Whatever happened to integrity? Overall, the experience felt misleading and left a very negative impression. read more

I needed a second key fob for my car and called my go-to locksmith at Pasadena Lock Shop. They recommended Good Lock & Key on Colorado Blvd. I called and spoke with awesome Milad who was out on a service call. He assured me that car fobs were no problem. When I went to the shop, the owner had the fob but not the updated scanner software for my car. Awesome Milad handles those! They arranged for awesome Milad, with the updated scanner, to make a service call to my place to program the fob. Great service, right? He came by within a couple of hours, programmed the car fob and made the alternate key. Milad was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. There was an issue with an error message popping up on my car dash, so he had to check it again, but it quickly resolved itself, which apparently is very common. The car fob works great. Milad did a great job! read more

They sent a tech that said he sub contracts for them. Told me my whole push bar lock mechanism needs to be replaced and it will cost $1699. I wasn't on-site but when I arrived, I saw that he was only replacing the door lock mechanism. Told me the part cost $1200! I googled the part he brought and the most expensive site had it for $150. The tech was very inexperienced and I had to tell him how to install the new lock. Avoid this place at all cost. read more

Very responsive to provide a quote via yelp. Arrived same day, on time. Finished quickly.

Decent service, long wait, scam pricing. A $13 car key you can buy on Amazon, carve at Home Depot and pair yourself becomes a $180 project at this shop. Not worth the money AT ALL. I'll just do it myself next time, thanks. read more
