I can't say how much I appreciate their honesty, integrity and knowledge! Parra Car Care could have easily used my car to make a ton of money. When I brought it in one Friday afternoon after it had just shut off on the road. The first place I took my car to told me I needed a new engine and it would cost me at least $6,000 after 20 Minutes of looking at my car. When I left in tears I took my car to Parra Car Care where they actually did the research took my whole engine apart to try to diagnose the issue and actually did the research to find out that my car had an engine recall in which case all of the repairs would be covered by the dealer! It's places like this that I'm so glad to have close to home. Anytime I have issues in the future I'll be sure to bring it to Parra. Thank you Nate and Doug for all of your patience and hard work. We went in with an old car for an oil change. They informed us that the car had major issues that would be more than the car's value to replace. On 24 July 2018 I dropped my car off with Parra Care due to the slow start of the engine. I also needed my brakes to be taken care of as well. Julie Kinney was on duty and took notes of what services I needed and made sure to note them in the vehicle write up to the mechanic(s) who were going to work on my vehicle. A few hours later she called and told me I needed a new ignition switch and the rear brakes needed to be replaced. All the work was completed by the next day. Julie also suggested that I get my headlamps replaced due to the moisture build up over the years. I would not be able to get the vehicle in until 30 July 2018, so I paid for the service in advance on 24 July 2018. On 30 July, Julie was not in the office at that time, but one of the managers took my information and noted what service I had come in for because Julie left good notes in the computer for the next person to read. My vehicle was ready later in the day and I am extremely satisfied with both the service and great work from Parra Car Care. The folks here are down to Earth and will work with you to take care of all your car needs. I am so glad that the construction work on Airport Freeway in Euless has not slowed their business down. I highly recommend taking your vehicle into Parra Car Care and meet the wonderful Julie Kinney; It will be one of the best choices you will ever make!!!! read more

I called to get a quote for labor to replace a fuel pump. The lady that answered the phone asked me some of the strangest questions I've ever been asked about car repair like how do I know how to use a fuel pressure gauge? She said she would have to talk to Bob (the owner) and would call back with a price. Never heard from her again. I would never take my car to this shop. read more

I've always had a great experience bringing my car to parra, however my last visit wasn't great. Doug said they couldn't really find anything wrong pertaining to the issues I was having but he would call me back in the morning with a quote for some work that needed to be done. He called with almost 5k in repairs!!! I'm aware that my high mileage vehicle definitely needed some work, but the fact that I came in with one specific issue that was apparently non existent yet he was willing to sell me on 5k of other issues just left me feeling less than confident with my trust in this shop. read more

This business is owned and operated by unapologetic, openly racist individuals, and they even have a sticker in their front window that declares it loud and proud. If you are a person of color, if you have friends who are people of color, or if you simply have a sense of basic human decency, you should never give this place one single cent of your money. In addition to being openly racist, the work they did on my car can only be described as subpar at best. You would think after $1000+ of work, they would've made sure that the car was actually running well before giving it back. Not so. Overcharging for low quality work is the name of their game here. The bottom line is that this business is openly hostile to non-white individuals, and in the year 2017 I find this simply unacceptable. I advise you to take your business elsewhere if considering having repairs done at Parra. read more

Luckily I have an auto friend that told me not to get work done there. Took it to Ross Auto & Tire in Dallas and had a much better experience there. Don't overpay. read more

Randy and Nate are outstanding. I am so thoroughly impressed with this company that I want to tell all my friends and family to take their cars here (which I do!). These guys are phenomenal. Randy's front desk personality is so confident, congenial and witty that one's anxiety over car issues melts away. You end up smiling as you drop off your keys because you know that your car is in excellent hands. Nate is diligent and focused and makes you feel that sense of a personal touch for a company that really cares about its customers and knows how to effectively remedy car challenges. In addition to firmly earning my trust with regards to the excellent work they do on my car, their customer service is completely impressive. Additionally, they communicate highly effectively when explaining what is going on with my car. If I want to take care of some issues presently and then delay some service until a month or so down the road, they are flexible and respectful to me, following through considerately on my directives. They are courteous, consistent, always polite, and on time. Wherever you are located in the Metroplex, I highly recommend taking your cars to this fantastic car care establishment. I first heard about them on GRN (Guadalupe Radio Network) when we moved to Dallas in 2016. I decided to have them look at my vehicle when I started having issues. After a diagnosis I was told that I needed a new transmission. After they gave me a quote which I knew was high but I decided to leave it at Parra Car Care as the logistics to have it towed to another shop and be without a vehicle for a few more days was not worth it. We had the transmission replaced and they replaced the water pump at that time. After receiving our vehicle we had issues with shifting and Randy was very unhelpful. He told us that they had no issues when they took the vehicle for a test drive. After several days of this I brought it back to the shop and they reluctantly looked at the issue. Randy kept telling us that there was nothing wrong with the transmission. Finally they adjusted the linkage cable and the problem was fixed. Fast forward to 06/20/17. We were having a small coolant leak so we had another shop do a pressure test. Found out that it was the water pump. This was still under warranty from work done last year. Called Parra Car Care and explained the situation. Again reluctant to be helpful and questioned the work of the other shop. They finally agreed to see my vehicle and I took my vehicle to them and after keeping it for a day Shannon told me what Belmont Garage already said the problem was. Their attitude about having to replace a part under warranty was plain negative and they seemed annoyed that they had to do warranty work. Shannon even told my wife that they do not like doing warranty work because they work for free. While replacing my water pump Nate called me and told me that my belt tensioner was bad and more than likely caused the water pump to fail. He told me that before they could put in the new water pump they would have to replace the tensioner. They charged me $100 dollars for a tensioner, a part that is about $30 - $40 bucks. This did not include labor as the work was done under the warranty work. I asked for the old part and it looked like a pit bull chewed on it. I recently replaced both belts (May 2017) so there is no way the main belt would have stayed on for more than a day the way that tensioner looked. In short I will never return to this shop and I will contact GRN and let them know that they should look into who gives them money especially from this company as they are not honest and over charge for their sub-par work. I would think this is against the Christian principles that GRN stands for. read more
