Tried changing to a different mechanic,, previous wasn't reaching standard without returning vehicle after repairs and than claiming it was something else! That's where this shop was recommended.....first time repair 1, 300 dollars to be the next day stranded on 820....had to call tow truck to return to this shop....ok.... second time ...for a simple oil change....witch prior my truck never leaked...now after oil change with oil leak ,, now the young kid as I explained to him where I seen a leak after I had engine washed, he said it was the oil pan plug was probably missing the gasket,,, than another tech took truck to inside of mechanic port, now the kiddo comes back telling me it's the upper head gasket....witch I've been monitoring since oil change....I insisted to see upper head gasket leak??? The owner, the mechanic crew gathered around me while teck showed me supposedly a suspected leak from some where else!! What i studied while waiting and watching, theirs one certified mechanic....and alot of inexperienced young kids ...bye the way the young kiddo said to me!! Sammy's is without a doubt the best auto service in our area. They are extremely knowledgeable. They won't rip you off and you can trust them 100%. They have never tried to up sale me. In fact Sammy's and his team have offered solutions to save ME money. I've highly recommended Sammy's to family, friends and strangers. I dont usually do that. I do not like writing reviews but this is how NOT impressed I was this morning. I took my 04 Honda Odyssey for a confirmed bad left and right sway bar links (mind you, this requires a 17mm wrench for two nuts per side only, for a total of four nuts for the job), I told them I am supplying the brand new OEM parts AND, if needed, also the Molly grease for the Zerk grease fittings on the bars, four total. After much thought (got an initial refusal at first), they said ok, it'll be $400!. By the way, the job should take 1 1/2 to 2 hours at most. This is really taking your time. Needless to say, after thanking them for their time, I turned around and left the shop. I took the van 1 block down the street and getting this job done elsewhere, where they are supplying the parts for a lot cheaper out the door price. Job was done in 3 hours (they were super busy) but, got it done. read more

Sammy is absolutely wonderful. I'm a young and single female and I often feel taken advantage of by every single car repair shop I walk into. NOT with Sammy. I used to let Firestone service my car (I have their credit card), and after one too many avoidable mishaps with them, I went to see Sammy. He's fixed their mistakes and corrected their recommendations many times for me. He fixed my brakes for a 1/3 of the price that I was quoted elsewhere. When Firestone failed to put a simple washer back on my car after an oil change which caused a major oil leak, his shop found the issue and fixed it in 20 minutes. When my Mom was told she needed a new engine by the dealership, she went to see Sammy and he fixed the issue for a couple hundred bucks. No new engine needed. Imagine that! My family and I will not take our cars to anyone but Sammy in the future. I truly cannot say enough good things about him. He is fair, kind, and generous. His Staff is kind and competent as well. He cusses like a Sailor, but that's part of his charm and makes me love him even more! He will be 100000% honest with you even if the truth hurts. I've never walked into his shop without him immediately asking me how I'm doing, how my family is doing, and how my job is going. Last time I was there, a few people came through the door and Sammy treated every one of them like family. I even watched him give someone a ride to work since their car wasn't quite ready to be picked up yet. We need more Business Owners like that in the world. Sammy jokes around, sure, but when it comes to your car and the quality of service, it is no nonsense. If you ask Sammy, he will give you his honest and fair opinion. I've been going here for all of my oil changes for about 7 years. Unlike other places, the oil changes here are fast, really fast. I think I usually have to wait about 20min. And inexpensive, about $35 with tax. When I go to other places, it takes an hour and they always come back with a few hundred dollars of other repairs you could make on your car. They make the other repairs sound scary and life threatening and offer to do them on the spot. I hate being pressured and frightened into expensive repairs that I do not need. Sammy never does this. If you're looking for a place that is fast with reasonable prices, I suggest going here. It is a no frills operation - minimal magazines, small waiting room, a television that looks like something my grandmother owns. But really, that's all I want or need. read more

I have used Sammy's for years, but lately their service has gone down hill. The last two times, the mechanic left the oil filler cap off and oil spewed all over the engine and drained down on my garage floor. I called and told Sammy what happened and he assured me it would not happen again. On the very next oil change, the cap was left off again. This time I caught it later in the day and at least did not have my garage floor covered in oil. The last time I went there, they failed to change my oil filer, leaving the old one in. The reason I know this is I took my car to the dealer the time before for some other work to be done, and while I was there, I told them to go ahead and change the oil since it was time. For the following oil change, it went back to Sammy's. When I got home, I looked at the oil filer and it still had the same name brand filter the dealer put on. No more! I am done with Sammy's. To save money, they don't change your oil filter and are doing shoddy work. read more

There aren't many decent mechanics out there. Especially qualified Toyota or Infinity mechanics. He might up charge a bit for service. He might be a bit abrasive at times, but he's reliable and cheaper than the dealerships. Over the years he's saved me a lot of money on repairs. read more

I have been going to Sammy's Auto Service for quite a few years. He has always made sure that the repairs were done correctly. He has always been fair with me, not trying to up charge me for work that did not need to be done. Last week when I had my car in and asked for the breaks to be changed, he let me know that I have at least another 6 months before I need to worry about that. He also checked my engine fan and let me know that was not the problem affecting the vehicle's temperature issue. I have been to other mechanics in the past who would have done the work for both, charged me and pocketed a hefty sum for work that was not needed. I brought my car in because the brakes sounded bad, I even had the brakes to save some money. Sammy told me 45$ first but then changed it to 95$ because they were shoes and not pads. I agreed but later he came in and told me my brakes were actually good and just dirty. It was 35$ or so to clean them and he told me their still good for another year. His honesty left me a bit shocked but I really appreciated that about him. Almost any other mechanic shop would have just taken my money and called it a day. He's a good man, and I will be back for that type of customer service. read more
