I've had my car for over five years and have only ever taken it to the dealership, because it was under warranty. Of course, the warranty expired a few months ago and my mom recommended Roy. Working with Roy was the same kind of honest, fast communication I got from my step-dad when he ran a shop. He worked overtime to replace my busted water pump, never left me without an update, and was upfront about all the pricing. He also has factory oil and filters, which was really important to me since I also needed an oil change. I have been without air conditioning in my car for three years. During those three years I have taken my car to three mechanics in Oklahoma. All ending in a couple days of cool air followed by hot! A three hour road trip (one way), parts to order, and labor later and I am happy to say I have air conditioning! I found out about Heaths Automotive from Facebook. I found Roy Heath a coupe of years ago reading reviews on Next-door. I had been a long-term customer of the Ford dealership in Grapevine. My vehicle, a 2010 Explorer, had about 80k miles at the time and was making a lot of racket when I accelerated. I had a bad cooling fan that I didn't get a proper diagnosis of from the dealer. I thought it was my transmission. Anyhow, Roy fixed it and has maintained it for me since. I couldn't be happier. The dealership had grown too large. I had no go to person to deal with under the drive up, first available service advisor model they now used. I can't say enough good things about the guy. Excellent Service - both in quality and in efficiency. We have had two cars repaired at Heath's Automotive and each time Roy walked me through the process and even took pictures and videos of the repair areas and went over them with me. A certain 3 letter battery and tire shop wanted to charge me for repairs that Heath's found to be completely unnecessary. It's hard to find an honest mechanic, but Heath's Automotive is one for sure. I took my truck to another shop to get a quote for replacing what I believed to be leaking coolant hoses. The other shop gave me a quote and told me to "keep a jug of coolant with you and bring it in ASAP to have it fixed". I then stopped by Heath's for a second opinion and Roy Heath himself crawled under my truck in the parking lot to diagnose the problem. He figured out it was a leaking oil cooler, and that there was nothing wrong with any of the coolant hoses! Needless to say, Roy earned my business. The other 5 star reviews are spot on, Roy is honest, upfront about cost, and gets the work done when he says he will. I'd recommend him to anyone. read more
