Hao, and company diagnosed the problems and provided an estimate which equals about three car payments on a new vehicle but a lot cheaper than a dealer would charge. We swallowed hard but decided to move forward with the repair and they completed the work quickly and efficiently. Their positive friendly aporoach to everything was really refreshing! When I went to pick it up, they asked me to come out in the shop to show me the parts that failed and were replaced. This repair shop is amazing because the people are amazing. They are: 1. Honest. I've literally had them charge me nothing because they fixed the problem in minutes. Other times they were a fraction what the dealership wanted. 2. Fast. 3. Nice. It's genuine. These are kind hearted good people. They are not putting on a face for the customer like some dealerships. Im old. I can tell the difference. 4. Excellent mechanics. This is most important of course but they know their business inside out. Im not a good mechanic myself but do enough of my own work to recognize excellence and competence in others. 5. GREAT QUALITY CARE AND SERVICE Based on the number of reviews and a 4.8/5 rating I wanted to give this place a shot for an oil change. Im always skeptical going into a new mechanic but around this area it was the best out of your standard Jiffy Lubes, Valvoline, and Firestones. By the way all in these in the area got poor ratings and reviews. I called the day before wanting to come in the next morning and they told me that they are pretty busy and might not be able to do it right away. So I came in exactly at 830am when it opened hoping they could squeeze me in. I was the first one there and they took me in right away but there were about 6-7 people trickling in around 835am and some people that had been waiting as well. Hieu was the man in the front and seemed very personable. He seemed to have good relationships with some of the people he was helping. Looks like lots of repeat customers. Gives you confidence that people come back for their other needs. He offered all of us, who were waiting, water or soda. Actually his brother was the same way. They have excellent customer service. By the way they use liqui moly oil which is really good oil and they use dealer oil filter. I needed full synthetic. They charged me $80. Jiffy lube was charging $100. Though it is rare to see perfect reviews and ratings, this place is a gem. Be expecting to wait long if you walk in. Be expecting them to take care and time on each car. Yes. 5 stars. Deserve Infinite stars. Hi folks. Do you trust mechanics? Most of us are hit and miss with establishing trust with a mechanic. Let that feeling rest. MP Auto repair is family run. No, not your family, but they easily make you believe they are your own relatives. They truly do deserve a perfect 5 star rating. I have been dealing with them over the last few years for my two G37s. This time, I had an issue with the convertible top on one of them. It was seen as a dealer part so I had to first go to Grubbs Infiniti. They quoted me $2053.00 for the entire assembly, each side. There are two of them. So that is over $4106 in parts alone. They quoted me $811 for labor, and the day I went, the associate quoted me $280 to diagnose the issue. I knew the issue, but they insisted they had to charge me, to tell me what I was telling them was wrong. The day I called back to set up an appt with Grubbs, they quoted me over $800 for the diagnosis, and said the other person was mistaken, but since he was, they would knock it down to $450. Um. No. The parts needed are two tiny gears. The ones I bought off Ebay are carbon Poly reinforced. To buy new complete assemblies made no sense, because they have the faulty gears inside. I had the new gears, told Grubbs to just forget it. Drove to Arlington to see if this was something the guys at MP auto could research and possibly fix. I offered to pay them $2000 since I felt that might peak their interest in going outside their normal area of expertise. They agreed to do research, called me today said they would take the job. I fully disclosed the invoice from Grubbs, so they knew Grubbs was prepared to charge me over $5500. The guys at MP said they are in it to find solutions for customers, without charging them too much. This afternoon I got the call my car was fixed and working perfect. The cost? Not $5500, and not the $2k I offered. $774.00. Yes. did you read that? $774. I was in shock. I offered for them to round it up to a clean $1,000. My offer was declined. $774. I left feeling as if I should have found a way to stand my ground paying more, because I do not want to risk a business like this every going away. You do not find this level of expertise, with this level of integrity. You just don't. My sons G had an exhaust issue. MP doesn't do mufflers, but he gave me the cause and the name of a shop he recommended. I went to them, they found the issue, fixed it within 20 minutes, and $30. I should have bought a lottery ticket today. But this was no luck. This was kindness on behalf of honest businesses. So if you own an import, please, you can't find a better place to get it repaired than MP Auto repair. Take care. Hope you didn't get eye cramps reading. read more

Absolutely the best auto repair shop in the metroplex. I've used them on numerous occasions for my 12-year-old Nissan Juke. They never fail to amaze me about how much they know about cars and how honest they are. I recently had a complete brake job done as well as a major tune up. They also made several recommendations regarding using premium fuel in the automobile. My 12-year-old Nissan now drives better than it did when it was brand new. We inherited my dad's old truck and we wanted to have it checked out to see if it would make it from TX to CA so we decided to take it here to have it checked out. When I called the guy who answered the phone was so nice and he took the time to ask plenty of questions to make sure I had what I needed done. They gave us an appointment for the next day, first thing in the morning. My husband took the car and he said that they were VERY VERY nice and they definitely loved up to their reviews. They didn't a full check of the truck and told him what was needed at no extra charge. They changed the oil and fluids to get the car in good shape for the drive. They even gave my son a toy car to take home. I wish we had time to have the work done at this shop. I did tell my sisters who are local all about them! read more

I don't normally post reviews, but I'm posting this one because MP is exceptionally great. My Ford Mustang was running very roughly. I took it to Ford and paid $200 for them to put a scanner on it. They called and said best case I needed a head gasket replacement. (($5000) or worse case replace the engine. God knows how much that would be. Took it to MP, they told me there was no way it was a head gasket. They replaced a fuel injector, a spark plug coil and the spark plugs at an extremely reasonable price and my car has never run better! These guys are honest, caring and great to work with. So, funny story. I actually been here several times over the year but never gotten any work done by them. I know crazy right! Well, this is what happened. A couple of years ago I needed help with my transmission, came here because I drove by the area and saw it and figure I stop in. Well, they were really nice to me and very professional but unfortunately what I needed help within my car they did not do. Then I went on another occasion for something else (can't remember) but they did not have someone that could help me at that time. In the most recent visit I needed some electrical work done on my car and was told they did not do electrical. The guy that helped me was friendly and professional and was genuinely sorry he could not help me. I asked him if there was another shop he could recommend that did electrical work and he was not able to help me with that. Is not that they did not want to help me is just that the kind of work I needed for my car they did not specialize in . From talking to my friends who had their car worked at here they are happy with the work and customer service. One of these days I will go get somebody's job done or whatever and they will take my money haha. Till then I leave this review as is. read more

I've been bringing my cars here for a decade. It's first come, first serve. They don't take appointments. The last few times I took my vehicle for a repair, I was the first in line. However, they let the people that they know personally, or bring them food or other gifts, jump the line and get priority. I brought my car up to have them look at an issue. After waiting for 40 minutes, the owners son drove my vehicle for a few minutes. He came back and said nothing was wrong. He didnt bother to pull it into the bay and inspect it. M&P is also overcharging for their repairs. Avoid this place. read more

I've been here a few times over the years and I honestly will never go anywhere else for anything to do with my cars! This is the most honest and trustworthy mechanic I've ever seen! They truly care about the quality of work and about the people. I went in recently after a fiasco with a JiffyLube where they broke my oil filter cap and then claimed they could not remove it, I showed up to MP and they had it off within the first few minutes I was there! They brought the broken cap in for me to see and he even sat down and explained how the cap works and why they get stuck sometimes, I've never felt so at ease and comfortable at a mechanic. These guys are amazing. My truck has had problems since December. The first manifestation was no cab heat for about half an hour. I took it to Firestone. They tried to sell me a bunch of stuff I didn't need and still ended up charging me about $300 to replace a thermostat. Then I retired and just didn't drive much. But then it started overheating. I was done with Firestone, so I returned to my sometimes regular Pep Boys. They changed a radiator hose and said I needed a battery. I'm out the door for another $600. I live a mile from Pep Boys. It started overheating on the way home. I turned around and took it back. We were going to Europe, so I let them keep it for over a week. All they said they did was drive it around for a little bit. They said there must have been an air bubble in the system because it was fine. I picked the truck up after we returned home. Once again, it started overheating on the way home. When I called them, they said as long as the gauge wasn't in the red, it was fine. For nine years, the temp has been rock steady in the middle. MP were polite, professional, quick, and probably better priced than they should be. I left my truck at 8:30 and by 9:30 they were calling to let me know what was wrong. They fixed it so quickly, I told them about another problem I had. Frankly, I'm not even sure they charged me for that. They ended replacing the thermostat again AND the water pump. They said the thermostat had been replaced with a junk part. MP only used Ford parts. The total bill was $450, HALF of what I had already paid two other places. These guys have a new fan for life. read more
