Chris, being so knowledgeable, actually made an expensive part/solution/workaround, HIMSELF, and saved us a good deal of money. That's how good, understanding, and mechanically-minded he is. The DUDE, and his hires, know cars, and PEOPLE. A "kind" business. Can't recommend more, and a rarity in today's day and age. Thanks Chris and team. Colin Fleming- Carrollton, TX

Hands down the best place! For all you new folks looking for a new Tech. I'm not a Texas native, as…read moreI assume one of the biggest worries moving to a new area is having to find a new Doctor and Mechanic in your new area you can trust and won't bullshit you. Where I came from I had every person you needed, a phone call away. Never had a worry about anything. Well after searching for 2 weeks, I came across Japanese Auto Works. I spoke to Chris, and with my lack of knowledge and more so horrible explanation of an issue I had with my sons 2003 Infinity, that no one could figure out what was wrong, let alone how to fix this dam thing. Chris, not only knew what I was talking about, he said he knew how to get it going. He didn't promise anything, but he did say if it can be fixed, I'll get it as good as I can considering how bad my situation was. ( it was bad) After some time, I finally got the message my son's Beater of a car was good to go. Chris, saved my butt! I had put so much money in getting this thing fixed for my son to have something his first year in the Army, that I put myself in a pinch. Nevertheless Chris, came through, and because he did my son will have something while he going through Army SF selection process. Thank you Chris.. When you take your vehicle, be patient people..!!!!

I came in for a simple left-rear vibration and asked for the wheel bearings to be checked. They…read moreignored that, misdiagnosed it as a differential issue based on normal paste (no flakes), and tried to up- sell me $5,500 in unnecessary repairs. If the vibration disappears on right turns, it's the wheel bearing - not the differential. When I questioned their diagnosis, the staff became aggressive. One mechanic got inches from my face like he wanted to fight, another threw my keys across the counter, and I was cursed at as I left. Totally unsafe, unprofessional, and hostile. Avoid this shop at all costs.

Let me start by saying, I like to do the vast majority of work on my own vehicles, but this timing…read morecover reseal job that needed to be done is not in my wheelhouse, so after doing a lot of research into Toyota / Lexus shops in the DFW area I kept coming back to TLS Auto Specialist. My 4Runner is our traveling vehicle that I have invested a lot of time and money into getting it the way i want it, so having others work on it yet alone not having it in my own garage is quite worrisome to me. I brought in the 4Runner that was needing a timing cover reseal and a water pump. If you don't know, the timing cover reseal is a very involved job that requires a lot of time and labor not to be trusted to just any yahoo. To do it correctly, in my opinion, the engine needs to be removed (which is how the job was performed). While doing their inspection they observed a few other things that needed to be tended to and offered some preventative maintenance things (timing chain replacement and drive belt) that could be taken care of since they were already going to be in there doing the timing cover reseal. We all know we have been to some shops that make you feel like they cannot believe your car even made it to the location. TLS did not do this in any way shape or form. Long story short, everything was taken care of in a timely fashion with no real surprises. Their pricing was fair (I don't mind paying a bit more for quality work). Casey did the work on the 4Runner and did a great job. Everyone at the shop was a pleasure to deal with, and they kept me up to date with everything that was going on. I would highly recommend this place if your Toyota or Lexus needs anything from a large job like mine to just routine maintenance.

With absolute sincerity, Justin and his team were very professional and diligent with solving my…read morecars problem. My 2009 Kia Optima would stall in the middle of driving or when attempting to drive for the day. The lights would flash, dashboard would light up but the car never turned over. Finally after multiple mechanics, I decided to take it to Parra for a full diagnosis. Justin had a few hunches what may have been the issue but they did not resolve the problem. It became difficult to troubleshoot since the car had to be inoperable when I brought it to him. Unfortunately the car would eventually start without a resolution. So Justin stuck it out with me and tried one last ditch effort. My car had a key fob but it broke years ago and was never replaced. Justin recommended buying a new key fob since the issue imitated an alarm being activated. While this seemed far fetched, it ended up being the resolution. This incident occurred three months ago and I haven't had an issue since. The car would stall once a week, run for three weeks and stall again. So with the diligent and persistent work ethic from the Sherlock Holmes of Parra Car in Euless, the case was solved! Thank you so much!

They don't mention this upfront when you call to schedule, so make sure to ask about it before bringing your vehicle in.
