My only complaint would be that there isn't enough seating, but I guess not too many people want to get their doughnuts and sit down to eat them in the restaurant. It's good but not great. First time visitor here after having a brief 30 minutes before a meeting at the church next-door. I would say the donuts are more like overdone croissants "airy with a lot of ingredients on top". I guess you could say a lighter version of Duck Donuts. With the line wrapping around from the front door to the counter I quickly made my way up to the counter and had a glazed croissant with a cappuccino. it was just meh, wasn't the greatest. I've had better tasting coffee at other local coffee shops so I guess I would just stick with the donuts at this place instead. Perhaps next time I will return and have some thing else other than a croissant with glaze. My wife and children love the mini donuts from this place so perhaps my experience was an "off" day. **Overall I can't wait to come back and try them out again for a different donut this time and I'll leave the coffee to somebody else. Today I ordered 3 vegan doughnuts for my husband, and 2 regular doughnuts for 3 year old. The regular doughnuts were some of the best I have ever tasted. I ordered the strawberry shortcake and something with colorful sprinkles. They were absolutely incredible! They blew away all of my expectations. The reason this review is not 5 stars though, is because I ordered 3 vegan doughnuts and they were totally abominable. The friendly staff behind the counter told me that they could make any of the doughnuts I saw except for 2 in vegan form. I thought that sounded great and I was so excited!! There were no vegan doughnuts on display and now I know why. They were super tiny. They were not "just like" the regular ones. They were bland, horrible mushy texture, it was like they combined flour with coconut oil and sugar. My husband couldn't eat even one. I tried and gagged. We were so sad about it because we had our hopes up! I think I paid about $3-4 a vegan doughnut too but I can't find a menu anywhere to confirm. It's just such a deception. read more

Nummy Nummy Nummy!!! These croissant like doughnuts are about the size of my entire hand so people complaining about the price($3) in the other reviews is absurd! I would pay $5 for one! We had the spinach pesto egg breakfast sandwich and assortment of the layered doughnuts. They love the puppers too and have real doughnuts for them as well as you will see pictured below. Tried this place as it's fairly close to home and was happy we did. Large selection of donuts (which was all we tried at this point) and has sandwiches and other offerings as well. The donuts were large, fresh & tasty, they didn't have 2 of the donuts we wanted but we were told to give them a few minutes & 5 minutes later we had all of our order. Had some leftover and they were still soft & delicious the second day. Will most definitely recommend Parlor Donuts to anyone that happens to be in the Mandarin/Fruit Cove area, you won't be disappointed!! read more

Have not had the pleasure of walking into this doughnut shop yet, but one of our close friends made a special delivery right to our doorstep. We were treated to the cookies n cream, blueberry hill, raspberry pistachio, and the strawberry shortcake. We live far from the shop but they still arrived fresh and my family really enjoyed them. I'm not a big sweets person but I did try a piece of the raspberry pistachio (because pistachio lol) and it was delicious. So happy this place opened near me but also very worried for my waistline as the doughnuts are so good! I was looking for a breakfast place a few Saturdays ago and Parlor Doughnuts popped up on Yelp so I hopped in the car and took off. I got there around 8:00 am and there were about 5 people already there and it only got busier. There are soo many doughnuts I was overwhelmed however the staff was so friendly and helpful. The people behind the doughnut counter were so helpful in fact I just asked them to pick me out six doughnuts. I highly recommend doing this if you aren't sure what you want because who knows more about what is good and what is popular than the people working there. They did not steer me wrong, I got six of the most uniquely delicious doughnuts I've had. The doughnuts are strange in that I think the dough might be layered to make them, this gives them a fluffy texture. I also ordered an iced coffee which was good and paired perfectly with the doughnuts. I can't wait to go back and this time I am going to pay better attention to which doughnuts I am getting so in my next review I will break each one down individually! read more

I absolutely loved my experience here! This location used to be Twisted Compass Coffee and the owners rebranded to Parlor Doughnuts. The staff is so friendly and kind and willing to answer any questions about the flavors or the process of making any flavor once they get closer to closing time if it's not on display. They offer a rewards system and tea for anyone looking for that option instead of coffee. There are gluten free options, dog doughnuts, as well as breakfast options. Can't say anything bad about this place! It's cute, clean, and everything is fresh and tasty! It's also a plus that they have food items in addition to donuts and drinks! We stopped in for breakfast and we tried the tacos, açaí bowl, avocado toast, and the spinach pesto sandwich. It was all so good! Especially the açaí bowl, it was the perfect smoothie bowl. The donuts are amazing! They're like a mix of donut/croissant, so you get a nice crunch on the outside with a moist interior, without feeling like it's been fried. We tried the maple bacon, churro, Reese's, sandy beach, and honey vanilla. They were all flavorful, fresh, and tasty, but our favorite was the honey vanilla! You could really taste the fresh honey and it wasn't overly sugar sweet. Another DELICIOUS treat was the mango, coconut, chili refresher. It was so so tasty! We will definitely come back and we highly recommend you stop in for a visit. The store was clean and the staff was friendly and professional which was nice. $3 for a donut is pretty extreme but I had to try them. I purchased the Reeces flavor and the Cookies and Cream because it looked like cookie monster. They both tasted the same and were sickeningly sweet. Too sweet. And the very middle of both donuts was doughy and moist. It appears the donuts are covered in a glaze/sugar before the frosting is put on and they were sticky and messy to eat. I tried using a knife and fork but that did not work so I had to pick them up with my hands. I could only eat half of each donut and threw the rest away because they were so sweet I didn't want the rest. About 30 minutes after eating all that sugar I got a stomach ache. The complex had a sign inviting residents to a Saturday morning social with Parlor Donuts; the young lady I was touring the complex with just rolled her eyes in delight when I asked about the donuts. of course, curiosity got me and BOY AM I GLAD IT DID!! I brought 6 home to my 83 year old, self-proclaimed sweet aficionado, who came to me and said "those were the best donuts I have ever had!" which is an enormously huge compliment from her.
