It was so excited when we moved here from Texas that there was a emoji at super close by. We moved from an area that had two of them within 30 minutes so this one within 15 was amazing. Unfortunately, that's the last time I'm gonna use that word in this review . The shop it's itself pretty small. Not an outright problem, but it does limit a few things. Sadly anybody that's got a wide set of hips or a larger backside is not gonna be comfortable in any of the chairs that they have at this location. That's fine if you're not trying to entice customers to sit and enjoy their food there, but it was unfortunate to find myself in a situation where my hips did not fit and its unlike the chairs at other locations. I ordered six donuts , sadly, the very first one and the second one that I ate out of that grouping, I could tell have been sitting out for a while. I don't know if they had been made that day or potentially the day before, but the donuts themselves were hard and not the smooth texture that they're supposed to be. Were they inedible? No but I was disappointed because I was excited to share this with a friend and found that this was a letdown. I just had a mochinut this morning from a different flavor, but the same place and I could tell that that one was much fresher. I would strongly suggest there be a timer or there be a limitation to how many or which kinds of donuts are left out. Or you could take a leaf from some of the other mochi nuts and have a few that are on display for the different flavors that you offer and then make each of the Mochinuts, fresh to order. I recognized that may be more complicated, leaving fryers on and things like that but if you have a good product, that's not gonna matter long-term because your sales will offset that and have a consistent basis for what your food and products are supposed to taste like will make a difference. I also found it really interesting that you had different flavors for your Boba teas. I asked specifically if you had Ube and the girl at the register had no idea what I was talking about which is fine. But upon looking at the menu of a further after sitting down, you do list, purple, sweet potato as a flavor. And while there are some nuance differences between purple, sweet potatoes and Ube because technically Ube is a yam and not a sweet potato. Most people don't look at that nuance and believe that they are the same. So I will have to try that the next time I'm in although I don't know when that will be because I don't wanna have to drive out to Beach Boulevard to go to kung fu tea every time I want a Boba. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice but again the issue with the chairs and people with hips. I give this place a three out of five for now. We'll see if a new visit gets me a different opinion. read more

The Mochinut is a brilliant idea. They are definitely more filling than your classic donuts made with a glutenous rice flour used along with wheat flour to create these deliciously embellished flower-shaped donuts. I love that there's an option for ordering at the kiosk located inside the store where you can browse everything they offer, make your selections and pay right there. There's also the option to order and pay right at the register, too. The place is very casual, so clean and beyond adorable! There are a few tables where you can wait for your order and eat in if you're so inclined. I took my Mochinuts to go and enjoyed the Ube flavor and the Nutella flavors the best. The texture is chewier than a conventional donut and I really enjoyed the entire experience overall. I look forward to trying other menu items next time especially the more savory offerings I saw others eating. read more

I read about this place and wondered what a Mochinut was. First, it's difficult to find, the name is the same color as the background so I had to really search. The inside is kind of plain in my opinion. Mostly blank walls and a towel or something pinned up to the door going to the back room. The girl behind the counter ignored me pretty much, nor smiled, so I didn't even know I had a choice to order at the counter. I guess she wanted me to use the kiosk so she didn't have to wait on me so walked behind the towel. I also didn't know what a rice hotdog was and when I clicked on the screen it did not describe what it is, it just put it on the order. It was hard to remove, the "back" button was greyed out so I had to cancel to order and start over. I was going to get 6, but here were only 7 flavors around 3pm on a Saturday and I didn't like more than 2 of them. I'm glad I only got 3. One was made in the back, the cheesecake one. Warm was SO very much better. The Coffee and funnel cake had been sitting out awhile. They are a little chewier than donuts and also less filling - overall smaller in volume. Definitely not cheap at $11 for 3. The girl at the counter didn't even say thank you or have a nice day after giving me my order; not a friendly place. I definitely won't be back. I was in the area and in desperate need of a sweet treat. I looked up their website to get an idea of what I may want to order. This facility is SUPER cute with the decor and orange seating area. They do provide the option to place online orders, I choose order inside, there is a kiosk where orders can also be placed. However I wanted to pay in cash so I needed to wait for the server. I ordered a grapefruit and orange tea without boba and three donuts: churro, raspberry funnel cake, and Nutella. The order came out quickly. The tea came in a very cute plastic bottle with an aluminum pop top like on a soda can. The flavor of the tea was refreshing and reminds me more of a blood orange flavor than grapefruit. I enjoyed it, actually more than the donuts. The donuts are a cute flower shaped and very nicely displayed. The donuts are thick and chewy. They were a bit colder than what I was expecting. Out of the three I tried I would say Nutella was the best then churro and raspberry funnel cake last. I definitely come back, I would like to try their food options and the different teas. read more

Went to soft opening. Place is clean and customer service is excellent. The mochi donuts are chewy and soft. They are not too sweet. The milk tea is amazing. The boba is soft and has good texture to it. Will definitely go back and looking forward to the grand opening for more mochi donut flavors. read more

My friends really wanted a mochi, and found this place. But as we found out, it's not even a bit about ice cream, ooops. Only donuts, bubble tea, rice hot dog. Cute little place that is opened up to the Ramen Restaurant next door! You can actually order appetizers from a menu chalkboard and sit in the Mochinut and eat dinner AND dessert! We went to a movie at Tinseltown , walked to the Ramen restaurant and then met our teen and her bf at Mochinut for dessert! We ordered 6 donuts and they were pretty good. They have a little bit of that mochi consistency and have all different topping. The Nutella was the best. Cute, cozy atmosphere- one employee working but we didn't have to wait in line so that was nice! If you like mochi, you'll love these donuts. Don't expect "Krispy Kreme sweet" because they are not like that. Give it a try! read more

I'm not sure if it's a chain thing or a company thing but they don't offer a sauce with your corndog. What they do offer is ketchup mustard sweet chili and another sweet spicy sauce. Maybe mayo? Not bad options. I like that this location isn't super busy though. Would recommend avoiding the matcha. Not good if you're a matcha fan. But the donuts and flavors are great! Went here Tuesday evening and what an experience. Firstly let me say I'd never had a Korean Corn Dog until I had an abysmal experience last weekend in Orlando. My girlfriend talked me into mochinut and I said I'd give Korean corn dogs another shot, and I am so glad I did. We ordered a potato corn dog, and the elote corn dog as well as six mochi donuts. Apprehensive walking in, walking out I was a BELIEVER. The elote corn dog was unbelievable, as were the donuts. While appearing dry from the surface, once you bite into them they are mushy, and the flavor is just *chefs kiss*. I took a bite of my girlfriend's potato corn dog and it was crispy from the exterior, the cheese pull alone was enough to motivate this review, and was served blistering hot but edible? Mochinut has got this down to a science and it's enough for not only a 5 star review, but also repeat business. Will definitely be coming back. read more

I'm excited to have a mochi donut establishment much closer to home. I do agree that mochi donuts are definitely not cheap and not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm a huge fan of them. The quality and selection of donuts are there, comparable to established places in Orlando. The donuts were fresh, appealing, and has their signature chew, which is one of the biggest factors that make mochi donuts stand out from traditional American donuts. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have Korean corndogs, but they are still undergoing a soft opening, so a few weeks to settle in would be needed. I will definitely be coming back every now and then for a treat, and maybe try out some of their drinks. read more

Went there twice and have tried the matcha, pineapple, coffee, strawberry, and s'mores donut. All are amazing but matcha is by far my favorite!! Amazing fluffy soft texture!! Their lemonades are nice and refreshing and serve them in cute bear cups but when they run out, they turn to these clear soda can themed ones which are still cute !! Reason for 4 stars tho is we had to wait 10 minutes for our donuts, when I finally came to ask what's up, turns out they forgot. Really nice employees though :) read more

AVOID THIS PLACE!!!! Came here last night with a friend and it was a terrible experience to say the least. First, when I ordered 2 bubble teas they said they ran out of their regular tapioca balls and only had popping boba, then proceeded to charge me $1.50 extra for each tea. Secondly, once we got the bubble teas the flavor was very bland and didn't taste right with fruity popping boba, also the can of boba was filled to the brim with ice and was almost completely done after 2-3 sips. Lastly, it is very much not cheap, as it was about $25 for 2 bubble teas and a rice hot dog, while also taking 30 MINUTES to come out. Donuts were really good, but the "boba" if you could call that was not good at all. We ordered a Oreo latte, and purple sweet potato latte boba but for some reason they were all sour and almost rancid. We asked if we could have a different drink so we got a milk tea since it's a very easy and basic drink, but again for some reason the milk tea boba was sour!
