This coffee spot on 210 has been here for about 4 years and I'm surprised this was my first time visiting. My brother-in-law live down the road and it's been a while since my last visit. They use Kookaburra Coffee (which I have had plenty of times) out of St. Augustine and I love it. The barista made my usual breve with heavy cream perfectly and it was definitely delicious and rich. My BIL got his usual brewed cup of Joe black and said it was great. The service is fast and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And the place is immaculate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's got a very chill atmosphere with a comfy couch and chairs where you can sit and enjoy your coffee and scroll on your phone to research the origins of the business.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] At least that's what I usually do...I'm endlessly curious and interested. I thought PMCH might have been a franchise like so many other businesses popping up in the area. I was wrong. To my surprise and pleasure, Pour Mike's Coffee House is locally owned (St. Augustine residents) and that particular day, Mike and his wife (the owners) were actually there amongst their customers. Mike asked us how we liked the coffee. And we let him know we definitely enjoyed it. It's nice to see business owners interacting with their customers. I love seeing that and really appreciate it. They have plenty of Pour Mike's Coffee House merchandise for sale, Mayday Icecream available for purchase and they seem to offer a mix of local goodies to help and support other area businesses. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars because the staff was that good. From the second I walked in, everyone was genuinely friendly and made me feel right at home. The coffee was really good too, and I loved how creative the menu was. They definitely have some fun drinks you don't see everywhere. The food, though... it was just okay. Not bad by any means, but it didn't really match how much I enjoyed everything else. I had a muffin that looked amazing but tasted a little underwhelming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is a vibe. Was down touring a venue and we needed some good coffee, so why not try a new place? On the way to BJ's to get some gas I happened to look up and see Pour Mike's so instead of coming back and going to Starbies we came here instead. I chose the Honey Lavender Latte with Oatmilk, 24oz while my fiancé got a Happy Camper (vanilla, cinnamon, honey) with Almond Milk, 24oz. For food we got the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese on a Ciabatta Roll and a Ham and Cheese on a Ciabatta Roll. We were impressed by both sandos as they were really filling and very tasty. The lattes are very bold tasting and definitely needed to be stirred because after that first sip I got a mouthful of syrup. This coffee shop is such a gem! We originally stopped in because of their fun "Name Day" promotion (if they post your name on Instagram, you get a free coffee). Such a creative idea--and it's how we discovered the place for a free coffee! From the moment we walked in, the barista made us feel welcome. She was not only incredibly friendly but also shared personal stories while taking our order, which made the experience feel warm and genuine. The menu has so much variety--everything from coffee drinks to fresh bakery treats and hot sandwiches. Stopped in to grab a quick coffee this morning. Got the Happy Camper - honey, cinnamon, vanilla latte. It was delicious! It was pretty busy but they got my coffee out to me quickly. Pretty impressive given the Saturday morning crowd! Every employee there was super nice and since it was my first time, they were happy to guide my drink selection. Speaking of - it was a lovely place and lots of good seating both indoor and outdoor. They also had some games it looked like. Seems like a great place to come chill out. Maybe work for a bit. The pastries also looked so yummy. I will definitely be picking out one of those cinnamon rolls on my next trip. I have thoroughly enjoyed Pour Mike's for the past year or so. I have always ordered my chai with no ice as I am a nurse and I never know when I will actually get to drink my tea. Recently, they have only been giving my 7/8's of my cup full stating, "just cause you order no ice, doesn't mean you'll get more." If I order the same 16 oz hot though it will come full. It's just frustrating and really turning me off from this establishment. I guess this is more of a just do better as an establishment review. read more

Ahhh. Saint Johns County finally gets another coffee shop on CR210 that's not named Dunkin or Starbucks, even though both of them are also on that road. This coffee shop offers a cool, chill vibe to it. It is mainly run by who I jokingly call, A-A-Ron and Dee-Nice (long story to explain). The actual tandem team that runs this shop is the man himself, Mike and his sister, Cindy. Laura is there as well (Mike's wife) which makes a trifecta of teamwork. They just make you feel welcome. Below are just some of the coffees I have tried thus far, and highly recommend them... - The Social - Happy Camper - Road Trip They also have plant based drinks that won't send you and heart racing for the moon compared to most energy drinks. I've visited twice so far when I was in the area and enjoyed my lattes on both visits. The first was a seasonal hot white chocolate & pistachio latte. I love pistachio but I don't enjoy white chocolate, but I actually really loved this drink! I also prefer iced lattes over hot, so for me to enjoy this drink says something. My second visit I had the Happy Camper (honey, cinnamon, and vanilla) and again, this was delicious as well. I also had a sausage, egg, and cheese on ciabatta roll to-go - I hate to say this but it left something to be desired. Seemed like it was pre-made and reheated (which nothing wrong with that) but for me, it didn't reheat well and it was bland even with the sweet datil pepper sauce that came with it (otherwise this would have been a 5 star rating from me). I will also say that I had almost a 20 min drive that could also have played a part texture-wise, chillin in its own steam and what not. But besides that, would this stop me from going back? New coffee shop alert in St. Johns County. To say I was stoked to see a sign for a new coffee shop in my neck of the woods is an understatement. Along 210 in an unsuspecting stripmall I drove past and noticed a new sign for Pour Mike's Coffee House. What is this I thought? How did I never notice this? Anyway, I headed over there this morning and was so surprised (in a good way). I pulled into the parking lot and notice a temporary sign above Pour Mike's. Prior to walking into the shop, I noticed a few bistro tables, a topiary wall. I walked inside and this coffee shop had all the coziness and warmness one could want. They have a booth available for a party of four, a bar with outlets (both USB and power outlets for those that want to work....and WIFI), a few tables of four, and some couch and lounge seating. The paint is dark, but makes you feel warm and cozy. I checked out their menu and spoke to Pour Mike himself! I went with their "The Social" which is their latte made with chocolate and coconut (lattes are available in 10, 12, and 14 oz). They serve The Kookaburra Coffee that is locally roasted in St. Augustine. They also offer local food items from other St. Augustine businesses like Creme de la Cocoa, Alma Fare, and more. They've only been open for three weeks, and already have regulars! I witnessed (while in line) multiple people who said they've been here before. You really get the hometown feel, which is just lovely. Anyway, my coffee was superb! The chocolate paired nicely with the coconut and the coffee was robust and creamy. Mike even walked it over to my table himself! They also offer a drink I've never heard of the Lotus, which is a plant energy drink, that you can order with flat or sparkling water and you can order the drink skinny which includes only 5 calories. They have flavors like pink berry bliss, blue lagoon, and pineapple. I'm not a super fruity drink person, but can definitely see this being refreshing on a hot day here in Florida. BEST LATTE I HAVE *EVER* HAD! (And I have had many) First, their simple menu, delicious desserts, and fresh espresso create the perfect atmosphere for any occasion. The lady who took my order (perhaps a manager or owner) was super patient and friendly as I struggled to make an uncaffeinated decision which led me to pick "The Social" - a delicate blend of chocolate and coconut with smooth, freshly brewed espresso over ice with a splash of oat milk. If this were in my neighborhood, I would probably just live in their well designed seating area. I cannot wait to go back to try all of their signature lattes and freshly baked desserts. Been coming here for awhile and for how good the coffee and products are it's quite disappointing that it's starting to become very much like Starbucks. Now I understand PRICES are determined by inflation and possibly overhead cost but for what you're paying they could improve on NOT having LOUD MUSIC at an unreasonable level, it ruins the ambiance and disturbs customers who want to relax. Second, the shop is pretty MESSY/DIRTY, crumbs everywhere and sticky tables and not to mention BATHROOM was cleaned with half or little effort. Moping floors isn't cleaning it. Now don't get me wrong always love the service and understand it's a young staff mostly students but instead of them constant on their phones or sitting with a friends goofing off while customers are present, their time could be applied better to doing their responsibilities. I hope some improvements come cause I know what this place could be and was. Now the positive is that great variety of drinks and snacks, plus other products to buy. Every time my partner and I visit his relatives in the area, we always want to go to the Kookaburra because we love their coffee so much. The last few times we've visited, we learned about this local spot, which serves Kookaburra's coffee. When we finally went to try it the first time, we were so surprised at just how on par their coffee was to the Kookaburra! Pour Mike's coffee is prepared/brewed just as well and fresh as their supplier. We're so thankful it opened up because the Kookaburra was in a busy location a little bit out of the way from where we usually stay, and this place is much closer. My favorite drinks to get are the Happy Camper and the Roadtrip. This time I tried their one of their Chocolate Creme Pie cookies as well, and it was absolutely delicious! I also love the atmosphere here because it feels more homey to me. Especially because they have big couches in the middle of the room, and it has a wooden interior look. Despite looking small on the outside, when you step inside there's a ton of space. Not only that, but if you know your dog is well behaved, then you can have them come inside! (Though, I know my dog barked at a stranger once - sorry about that ) Lastly, the service here has been consistently great. My husband in love with this place just 2 minutes from our home. He goes on and on so much that if we had an RV it would be in the parking lot. I don't drink coffee and had my tea the last time we went. He is a corporate chef and very picky. The milk has cream of top and is pasteurized. It is from the Wainright Dairy in Florida.
