OH MY FUGGGGG. To start, this place has a really cool retro feel from the moment you see the place, which I love. But the doughnuts?!!!! There's no words. The flaky soft layers, and the flavors?! Solid new location in the College Park area! We went in recently to try out this new donut shop as we were already in the area. The parking lot is very small and can be rather difficult to get out of if you cannot find a spot, so I would recommend trying to find street parking and just walking over. Inside has a blue and white aesthetic with tile floors and fun theming throughout. To your right is the donut case, menu for hot food orders, and the line queue entry. We headed into the line, and it wasn't a long wait for donuts, but we did overhear that there was a 45-minute wait for any hot food orders, so we opted not to do that portion. The servers were moving everyone through pretty quickly and our donuts were out fast in a cute box. Seating was limited, so we went with bar style seating facing out of the front window. There is a wide variety of flavor options and you can also get additional food and drink options. I got the Strawberry Shortcake doughnut and I am still thinking about it. It was delicious and I was so impressed. However, I prefer lighter and less sweet doughnuts. These are not cake donuts and if you prefer the denser donuts, you may not like these. The staff are very efficient, although when we were there only one person was preparing the drinks so it took a bit of time. You can get your doughnuts right away, but you will need to wait for drinks or other food. I got the Chai Latte and it was just okay. I prefer spicier Chais and this one was very milk forward. After much hype on socials about this spot, I have had it on my list to try. My coworkers and I had lunch around the corner and visited here for a mid-day sweet treat. I was able to grab a parking spot on the street in front. The decor inside the establishment is very grand. It was very clean and easily accessible. It took me a while to decide on a donut, but I settled on the Sandy Beach and a dog Donut for my pup. We sat inside to eat and all my coworkers enjoyed their choices. Mine was tasty, however very hollow for the price. The dog Donut was fairly small, but my doggie loved it due to it containing bacon grease. There is a nice set-up inside the location to purchase merchandise and bottled beverages. I would recommend that the staff speak up more and assist us like "is this your first time in?", "what flavors do you normally like?" I've been so excited to check out Parlor Doughnuts in College Park, and they definitely lived up to the hype! First of all, I love what they did with the space (which was previously Cafe Linger) and the exterior looked great, too. Seems like some of the initial opening hype has died down and we were relieved to see there was no line when we arrived around 11am on a Wednesday. The menu features a variety of large, croissant style doughnuts, specialty coffee drinks, and other breakfast options like avocado toast and breakfast tacos which are served all day. When you go through the ordering queue, all the doughnut flavors they have available are on display. They all looked/sounded amazing, but we decided to order a 4-pack and went with the raspberry pistachio, coconut cream filled, French toast (most popular), and the seasonal blueberry crumble. I was originally wanting to try the strawberry shortcake, but that one was already sold out for the day... next time! Once we got home, I dug right on in and WOW -- I'm super impressed with how light & fluffy they are. I don't like donuts that are too dense and leave you feeling bleh in a food coma afterwards. Just opened and what a fabulously adorable doughnut shop in College Park! They have all sorts of morning fare besides their gourmet doughnuts! Parlor doughnut was very unique. These are more like cronuts than actual doughnuts which I didn't mind since I had no expectations. I picked up some minis as well as a half dozen. I will admit I prefer just the minis because they all had a different taste to them like one even had jelly inside! The half dozen was good as well, however, I felt like each donut had very similar taste. Service was okay. They seem to be a bit understaff and I had a hiccup with wanting to switch my payment but the manager just expected me to leave my information. I went on opening day and it sure was busy! The shop layout is open and you get to see the doughnuts and coffee section as you walk in. Staff is friendly and nice and they took care of everyone pretty quick. I got the blueberry doughnut and 2 breakfast tacos (with chorizo). The doughnut was airy, fluffy, had a great bite to it and the blueberry flavor was nice and not overpowering. Great new donut spot in college park! We went on a Saturday during their grand opening week to find a line out the door - I guess everyone else was as excited about this place opening as I was! Luckily, it was worth the wait. They were sold out of a number of donuts when I arrived due to the demand, but luckily still had plenty to choose from due to how many options they have available. We went with the honey glazed, turtle, blueberry, and French toast flavors - all were delicious! I think the French toast was my favorite. The donuts are what I would call cronut-style, being a bit doughy in the middle and made up of lots of flakey layers. The branding and interior design stands out due to it being classic Americana - feels like it stepped right out of an America themed shop at Epcot. The staff was kind despite how busy they were, and were doing a good job of keeping the line moving. They have both interior and outdoor seating options which was appreciated on such a beautiful day. At a friend's recommendation, I suggested Parlor Doughnuts as a location for an off-site team meeting. There was a good amount of seating, wifi, and lots of drinks and donuts flavors to choose from so everyone found something. I was most excited to try the donuts, but since we were meeting for a bit, tried a savory item as well. The pesto egg sandwich was fine- good flavors but the contents were small in relation to the ciabatta, so felt like it was mostly bread (though the bread was good, may have been a better ratio with a smaller bread option). The donut was amazing, though! I got a seasonal berry cheesecake donut and it was great- light, fluffy texture on the inside, but a nice crunch on the outside, and flavors well balanced and not overly sweet. The barista/cashier was so gentle, patient and kind while my Grandmother was getting her money together. I noticed my Aunt helping her and decided to intervene when it was taking longer than expected. I apologized to the barista/cashier and thanked her endlessly. The joint is located in Winter Park. The interior is small, as it's more of a pick up and go. The staff has been friendly on my two visits.
