One bite into their strawberry filled donut and my wife was in love! I got a variety of donuts for myself and each flavor was fantastic! The eating area was very clean and all the staff were super friendly. Overall, before I even bit into my donuts I was very happy with the level of customer service. Id consider myself a bit of a donut enthusiast and im ashamed I did not come visit sooner. I arrived at the drive-through, waited patiently, eventually made it to the speaker, and then waited another six minutes in complete silence. Six minutes. I could've baked my own donuts. When I finally asked if coming inside would be easier, the employee enthusiastically said yes -- which really begs the question: why is the drive-through open? I went inside. There was a line. And there was the drive-through worker, standing completely still, apparently in a state of deep contemplation. Back to my car. Back through the drive-through. I ordered a large cold brew, a Sausage Kolache, and six cake donuts -- because at that point I was committed. The cold brew arrived in what the rest of the world calls a medium cup. The cake donuts were so small I thought they'd mixed up my order with a toddler's. And the kolache? A hot dog. In bread. That's it. That's the whole experience. Stopped in after taking the kids to school and got lucky scoring 3 Dubai donuts, a mango cheesecake donut and a few icing donuts for the mini. Then for momma ... the Dubai donut cup which was absolutely delicious but a bit too much for me. I prefer the Dubai strawberry cup from another place over the donut cup as I needed a bottle of water after like 4 bites. This was my first time trying Shipley and it was alright. It wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible. I'm indifferent. I got a good variety of donuts, but I wasn't impressed with any of them. To me they were just donuts, now I will say I rarely eat donuts unless they are the mochi kind, but I'm pretty much the type that will pick pies, cakes, cookies over donuts. However, I really wanted to give this place a try since I've never been. It's nice to have something different aside from Dunkin' and this place was very clean. Staff was nice too and they have a great selection of donuts, just nothing that impressed me. I also tried their kolaches and to me it was too much breading and not enough of the sausage inside. However don't let that stop you from trying them out, everyone has different opinions about this place and I think if you really love donuts you might like this place. read more

The last time I ordered a cake w chocolate and sprinkles - received no sprinkles; ordered a S/E/C kolache and there were only two pieces of sausage. Decided to give them another shot 3 days later - they were closed with no comm/notice. Called, emailed, reached out on social media - no response - but eventually they updated that the store would be closed until June 28. Unsure if they've been open the past week, but now they're closed again due to no electricity. At this point, an hour round-trip was wasted twice and won't be done again. ETA: found out, after posting my review, that this sign had been up for a month prior to the day I visited which means that they never opened since they claimed they would be on June 28. All reviews since, of those who actually went to the location recently, have stated the same - of it being closed. I reached out again via IG, and no response. Very weird in the day and age of technology that they don't interact w their customers. It is clear that Shipley had ghosted Orlando, and atp I say "good riddance." I don't like sweets for breakfast, but I didn't know if I would get another chance anytime soon to return, so I opted for a donut. Tried this place the other day and was not disappointed at all. They have unique donuts that are really tasty like the bear claw and their classics hit the spot. Their service was really quick and I like that they have a drive through too! I tried their kolaches and it wasn't my favorite thing per say. To be fair, I've never tried one before so I have nothing else to compare it to and I'm also not a big fan of hot dogs so I am a little biased to say I don't really like them. This was my first time visiting Shipley Do-Nuts and I loved it. They serve doughnuts, kolaches, coffee, and other drinks and they have lots of options to choose from. The cashier was nice and answered all of my questions. They also have a few small tables inside to enjoy your meal. I never had a kolache before and I was pleasantly surprised on how good it was. The breading was light and the sausage with cheese had a good flavor. The pink sprinkle cake doughnut was good too, the frosting was thick and not overly sweet. The cinnamon roll tasted great and had a lot of nuts in it which was a nice little surprise, I just prefer to order the cinnamon roll next time with icing. They also have a rewards program that if you register they will send you a coupon for 2 free glazed doughnuts. I've made a couple of visits to Shipley donuts now, and I would say the donuts are pretty good. On my first visit, I ordered a plain cake donut, and a plain buttermilk cake donut. The plane cake donut was absolutely delicious. However, the buttermilk one was gross, but I'm not going to judge on that because I probably should've expected the buttermilk to have a unique taste. This weekend I made another stop in for a coffee and a dozen assorted donuts. I was very pleased with the assortment to choose from. While the donuts were good this time, I felt like they could've been fresher. I felt that they got stale extremely quickly, but that's not going to stop me from visiting again. I should, of course, point out that on both visits the service and staff were wonderful! Everybody was in a good mood, and very friendly! And FYI - they are a Texas based chain. I stopped quick to get a big cinnamon roll. I was not disappointed. It was very fresh and very good. You can tell it was homemade. The customer service when you walk into the door they were very friendly. The greeted you when you walk in and they told you everything that they had and waited for a few minutes to make your order. This location is on Semoran Blvd. and has seating inside as well at a drive thru. I got a cinnamon roll and a hot coffee and both were so delicious!! There is no photo evidence of the cinnamon roll since I was so excited and ate it so fast. The staff was so friendly and even though it was pretty busy when we went by they moved the line quickly and were helpful with questions and getting the donuts all boxed up for everyone. It's a cute little brick building with a drive thru and the inside and bright with red and white being the main theme. We were greeting with smiles and great service, the cashier explaining a little about the company and the donuts. We ended up trying a half dozen donuts and a hot coffee. In a crowded market like Orlando Shipley's doesn't really do it for me. I liked the apple stuffed and my wife really liked the blueberry cake and coffee but there's a nutty flavor to the glaze that isn't my bag. And there's not any flavor to the dough which made the cinnamon sugar a tough sell. But like everything, donuts really are up to the individual , you might absolutely love it. I've been meaning to stop by Shipley and I finally made it in! It's located on the way to the airport and lets be honest, I think everyone tries to avoid that area unless they have to go over there. I was in the area and had a free birthday donut so I had no reason not to stop in! Both women that were working were extremely friendly, I let them know it was my first time and that I had a free donut. They talked to me about their flavors and while I was choosing one of the ladies gave me a warm glazed donut. It was thick and fluffy and I think we can agree that a warm donut is top tier! i ended up getting a strawberry frosted, the Nutella/Biscoff filled and the cream filled. All three donuts came to almost $12 which I thought was a little expensive but once I opened the box and saw the true size and felt the weight of the donuts I understood their prices. All three donuts were absolutely delicious, the Nutella/Biscoff cookie was filled with what reminded me of chocolate pudding. It was nice because had it been straight Nutella it probably would've been overwhelming. The cream filled was filled with what seemed like a cross between buttercream icing and white donut icing. It was different than any cream filled donut I've had before but I really enjoyed it! Lastly, the strawberry iced it a classic and it satisfied my cravings. When I first looked them up on Maps it looked like they had special hours for the week of the 4th, I thought it was kind of odd to have different hours for the whole week but whatever. I'm looking forward to trying it the next morning so I look at their menu on the app, it says they would be closed until the 28th...kind of weird again because on Maps it said it would be closed until the 29th. Oh well I thought that must just mean they've been reopen longer than I thought. I excitedly drive 25 min just to find it closed with nothing on the door but a sign that said something like "closed for electric issues" and no date or estimation as to when they'll be back open. Would have given zero stars if I could! My son interviewed at this location a couple of weeks ago and was offered a position. He was told onboarding information would be sent to him, but it never arrived. He followed up multiple times with the person who interviewed him, but received no response. Today, he received a message via Indeed stating that the Orlando location is not actively hiring for any roles - with nothing more than a generic apology. This is incredibly frustrating and disappointing, especially since he turned down another job offer that paid a bit more, simply because Shipley's was within walking distance of our home. Given that he no longer has a vehicle, this seemed like the most practical choice. This experience has been deeply disheartening. A job offer should come with clear communication and follow-through - not silence and confusion. The lack of professionalism shown here is beyond unacceptable!! read more

First time going and I am still shocked I paid $17 for a 1/2 dozen. The pictures shown are missing a the 6th my husband ate, a simple chocolate filled donut. Their price board at the store is not specific and their up-charges are confusing. The assorted 1/2 dozen is already about $12 (choose your own) and they upcharged almost $4 more for the bacon donut and also attached a surcharge of $0.30 to the cookies and cream dont ask me why. When I got home I checked the prices online to understand all this varied pricing and surcharges. They should all be about the same size except for those bigger special ones however the two basic glazed donuts we got definitely done match in size. I'm a Texas girl who has had a Shipley's mug in my cabinet for decades, so as soon as I saw the sign go up I was overjoyed! I always loved my quick stops in for a cherry donut back in the day. I didn't remember them having kolaches, but that was a nice bonus here seeing as they aren't easy to find outside of Texas and a place in Utah I know of.
