When I first looked them up on Maps it looked like they had special hours for the week of the 4th, I thought it was kind of odd to have different hours for the whole week but whatever. I'm looking forward to trying it the next morning so I look at their menu on the app, it says they would be closed until the 28th...kind of weird again because on Maps it said it would be closed until the 29th. Oh well I thought that must just mean they've been reopen longer than I thought. I excitedly drive 25 min just to find it closed with nothing on the door but a sign that said something like "closed for electric issues" and no date or estimation as to when they'll be back open. While I was there I spoke to other customers trying to order that said the same thing, they already updated their hours in Maps at least once why not update it accurately ?? Anyway. Tried calling this morning and not only did I get no answer, but their message inbox was full as well. Welp. Shipley sank. read more

Would have given zero stars if I could! My son interviewed at this location a couple of weeks ago and was offered a position. He was told onboarding information would be sent to him, but it never arrived. He followed up multiple times with the person who interviewed him, but received no response. Today, he received a message via Indeed stating that the Orlando location is not actively hiring for any roles - with nothing more than a generic apology. This is incredibly frustrating and disappointing, especially since he turned down another job offer that paid a bit more, simply because Shipley's was within walking distance of our home. Given that he no longer has a vehicle, this seemed like the most practical choice. This experience has been deeply disheartening. A job offer should come with clear communication and follow-through - not silence and confusion. The lack of professionalism shown here is beyond unacceptable!! read more

I will start off with I've been doing a little research and found out most of these reviews are fake!! This business can get into a lot of trouble for writing FAKE REVIEWS. They claim they have certain items to do their marketing and when customers call or even drive miles to buy it they state they just sold out of them. The donuts are stale. First time going and I am still shocked I paid $17 for a 1/2 dozen. The pictures shown are missing a the 6th my husband ate, a simple chocolate filled donut. Their price board at the store is not specific and their up-charges are confusing. The assorted 1/2 dozen is already about $12 (choose your own) and they upcharged almost $4 more for the bacon donut and also attached a surcharge of $0.30 to the cookies and cream dont ask me why. When I got home I checked the prices online to understand all this varied pricing and surcharges. They should all be about the same size except for those bigger special ones however the two basic glazed donuts we got definitely done match in size. You can see how uneven the sizes are in my pictures. Wont be returning because I think they're just too overpriced for what we got. read more

I am always driving down SR 436 aka Semoran Blvd in Orlando for work and one day I cam across Shipley Do-Nuts a donut store I have never heard of before, so I decided to do some research on Shipley Do-Nuts I asked my son's girlfriend if she had heard of Shipley and she said yes and that they were to die for one of the best Donut Shops she has ever been to before. So with the recommendation from her I finally checked out Shipley Do-Nuts for myself. So what I did was I signed up for Shipley Do-Nuts rewards on their app which gave me two free glazed do-nuts to try, and they were two of the tastiest glazed donuts I have had in awhile and I have eaten dozens on dozens of donuts through my life so its safe to say that I am a donut expert. The donuts were very fluffy, sweet, and had a great tasting glaze on them top shelf donuts. They also provide a big selection of all different kinds of donut flavors you can choose from plus they have this signature pastry called a Kolache, which is a savory beef/pork and cheddar sausage surrounded by fluffy bread dough and baked until browned. The decor of the shop was very nice I loved the red & white color scheme, red & white are always two colors that go well together. The customer service was top notch their cashier was lovely her name was Olivia and she said the best time to try the glazed donuts is when they come out hot & fresh. I also thought is was cool how Shipley Do-Nuts also sell their own merchandise like t-shirts, snapback hats, mugs/cups which is a cool in my opinion. So in closing if you are driving down SR 436 aka Semoran Blvd in Orlando, FL you must stop into Shipley Do-Nuts and try their donuts and their other offerings, the next time I go there I will be trying their famous Koleche. read more

This was my first time at Shipley's after hearing my partner talk about this place for years (he used to go when living in Houston). We arrived in the early afternoon and by that time, some of the donut flavors had sold out (so get there early!). We had the kolaches (sausage and cheese) which were so good, and got some donuts to go. They were so good, and it was very affordable. I'm a Texas girl who has had a Shipley's mug in my cabinet for decades, so as soon as I saw the sign go up I was overjoyed! I always loved my quick stops in for a cherry donut back in the day. I didn't remember them having kolaches, but that was a nice bonus here seeing as they aren't easy to find outside of Texas and a place in Utah I know of. Service has been good and the food has been tasty at this location. Gives me a sweet little taste of Austin every time I visit. read more

This used to be where I got my eyes checked out for a new prescription. But when I saw that they were rebuilding a new donut shop here. I definitely wanted to check it out coming to the place. It was definitely welcoming where the selections of donuts and other desserts were there so it was easy to make a selection. The customer service was absolutely amazing, kind and welcoming and making sure I was welcome to ask questions. I asked what was the most popular thing there and the lovely lady told me it was the glazed donuts that they sell them at batches there. I decided to get a variety of different flavors to share with the family, and Myself tried the glazed donut and the apple filled cinnamon sugar doughnut. Me personally wasn't a huge fan of the Glaze. There was a hint of a weird aftertaste however, the Apple donut reminded me the apple pie from McDonald's but in donut form nonetheless this seems like a great place to grab some donuts that is different from Dunkin' Donuts and Krispy Kreme. The pricing was a bit high, but I think as I continue coming here and try other flavors I will grow to love this place more, I would say to come and try this place as it is new and there is a lot to choose from. read more

Where I come from, kolaches are like Polish empanadas, full of exciting flavors cooked in a fresh pocket of fluffy bread. We stopped by for the first time yesterday. When we placed our order we got the donut with lots of sugar on it. The donuts were placed in a bag instead of a box and all the sugar ended up in the bottom of the bag. All together we got half a dozen donuts and were charged individual prices. Is this the custom or is the a price for a half dozen as well as a dozen donuts. The young lady that waited on us was very nice, but did not seem to be very knowledgeable to the product. A little worse than Meh! I had heard about them but thought they may be like Du*k*n. Instead they were more like Donut K*ng, just not as good. There was a variety of donuts but they were each priced differently. Upon trying they were heavy and kind of greasy. They were overly sweet and the filled donuts had very little filling. The price we paid after getting a few special donuts was $24; Yikes! We left some for the next day and they had absorbed all the coating. If you get one here, eat them right away. Checked it out yesterday mid afternoon. The associates were friendly and quick to help me. Got a couple of donuts and a small coffee for under $6. What a bargain. I got a cake donut with vanilla icing and a coconut donut. The donuts were fresh and quite yummy. The coffee was pretty decent too. It's not a fancy, or hip joint and unique flavors like Salty donut ($4-$5 for one donut). The price, taste, cleanliness & friendly service is definitely worth the trip. read more
