This doughnut shop has indoor seating only with some creative doughnuts. We got the Vietnamese coffee doughnut and the French toast doughnut. It was $8.56 for the two. The girl behind the counter was kind of weird when we said we wanted two (one for each person), which seems like a very normal number. We liked the French toast more, although both were good. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this shop over any other doughnut shop, but it was worth a try. We saw a sign for savoury doughnuts that you can request to be made. They looked pretty good.
I'm so glad that parlor donuts has made its way to Houston! I have a gluten allergy and their keto donuts were yummy and gave me no issues at all. My three kids ordered different gourmet donuts, and loved every single one of them. The inside of the shop was very clean and the service was great. We will definitely stop by again when we are in the Heights.
What a great experience this morning! I was thinking about these doughnuts since last night haha! And I got up super early just to make in. Theres a good bit of parking so I don't see it getting crowded unless hot wox or the other place are all opened all at the same time. I wish they had a drive thru, but it would probably be out to the street lol. Anyway! The ladies at the front were all smiles and they talked so softly which was nice because it was like 7a. Nobody wants to hear people yelling or having an attitude early in the morning. Let's get down to the business of how the doughnuts taste. They are fluffy and flaky. I wish they made the dough with the same ingredients (EX: The cookies N cream was baked inside of the dough) they weren't bad, they were regular / normal. I was looking for the hype people talked about. Each doughnut was 3.95 basically 4 dollars... and my small matcha was 5.70 but it was good! It basically stole the show. The rating is for the service, the ease of ordering, the parking and matcha Overall I'd go back to try what I see on TT, which are the pizza doughnuts. And if that doesn't do it for me.. then at least I tried lol
I love donuts so much so when I stumbled upon this gem, I had to give a try. They have a variety of donuts that I wish I can try, but that would unfortunately lead to several cavities. Anyways, I had to try at least one donut and it was the cinnamon strudel donut which was delicious and fluffy. It felt like a churro and a Cinnabon had a baby and it made this deliciousness. The ambience was very cute and quaint. I appreciate the staff for helping me narrow down my choices. I can't go back again and try the other fun flavors!
Had a really good first impression at their Greenway location with the very upscale interior and clean environment. Their Heights location is on Yale in a small shopping plaza and tucked away in the corner. The interior felt a bit messy and it was also kind of warm for some reason; there's a lot of sunlight and glare inside that makes it unenjoyable to dine in. We came in the afternoon so there were no ready made donuts on the racks; we actually thought that the freshly made / made to order donuts would be a plus. Personally, I think their donuts taste better cold/ room temperature rather than hot out of the fryer. Overall, the experience felt a bit more amateurish and that, along with the hot donuts tasting good, but not great, detracted a bit from the snack. At $3.95/ donut, it better taste fantastic, and I think the donuts here just did not taste as good as their other location.
C revisited today. Afrind. Today. I had chocolate vegan. It was cake doughnut and had good texture and flavourful. my flexitarian friend had the pizza doughnut which she said was good. The service was prompt, but cashier seem to not to know what was vegan- Ample parking
Gluten free donuts were sad for me . More of a flourless chocolate cake rather than a donut . The regular donuts were good though ! If you like sweet air fluffy croissant style donut i'd say give it a shot! I tried the Vietnamese coffee doughnut and the French toast doughnut. I really liked the coffee donut not super sweet but crispy. Belly won't be happy since i'm gluten free but may be worth the pain. Also donuts range from .75 cents for the tiny to $4.50 for gluten free but you really don't need more than one!Parking wasn't bad either and no line at 10am!
Mornings are the best to get your choice of all they offer. They open 6:30am, I have usually been served by "Julissa" who has such a sweet disposition. She guides you and answers any questions you have. Returning here, all the employees are great, today, it was "Ashley" and she was so accomodating. I probably went up 2-3 times, changed my drink from small to large and later upon leaving, I asked for a cup with ice, to switch my drink from a hot Latte, to an iced drink because once you step outside into Houston weather, it's HUMID!!!! This Cafe is a personal favorite and my go to spot once a week in the mornings. There's an array of deliciously curated croissant like donuts here; you can't go wrong choosing any of them. My favs are their Rasberry Pistachio which had 1 left by 9am. Our children love them all though, from the strawberry, lemon to the coconut. Music plays softly, as you eat in cafe style vibes. The location is in a nice area on Yale and 5th street off of Washington Street off the Waugh exit. Drinks served? We grab their warm Matcha with Vanilla Syrup and I, their Coffee with Lavender Syrup, small size with 2 donuts you can enjoy for $20.49 Come by!!! Spacious parking, safe neighborhood. Interior is modern and clean. They accept CASH and credit, no payment discrimination, all paying customers welcome. These donuts are different because they are made from Croissants with the donut dressings on top! I don't like sugary or heavy, for some reason I am addicted to these. And, I have never liked donuts. These are light and pair well with something warm. Come come and keep this business going because it's these distinct differences we need more of. Each donut is about $3.65 but if you purchase a dozen, each is $2.65. Is it worth it? Absolutely!!! And they serve various other foods such as Avocado Toast, Acai Bowls, Breakfast Tacos and many more. You'll get hooked!
Wowwwww! This place definitely met the expectations of the way it has been hyped up on social media. I feel like that's hard to find in Houston. I went around 2 and was sad to see a nearly empty display case but I figured it was because of the time I visited but they made my day when I was told any of their doughnuts can be made fresh based on their menu. I went specially for the cafe sua da (Vietnamese coffee) doughnut and saw their seasonal blueberry lemon doughnut. Their doughnuts aren't traditional yeast doughnuts. They are more like a cronut (cross between a donut and croissant) but I'm not complaining at all. The cafe sua da doughnut tasted like I was drinking a traditional cup of Vietnamese coffee. I highly recommend it! The blueberry lemon was great too but would have been perfect with either a strong lemon flavor or fresh lemon zest on top. I also ordered a plain cold brew that was over the top bold in a good way. I'm glad this is on the other side of town for me because I would visit often. Give it a try. You can't be disappointed with their variety of doughnuts.
One of the best desserts place to go to after lunch! These doughnuts are very unique; they're crispy layered doughnuts that resembles a French toast in my opinion. I grabbed the flavors blueberry and cookies n cream, and surprisingly I enjoyed the blueberry a lot more. The cookies n cream was on the sweeter end. Every bite though was delicious! I highly recommend. The service was okay. There were tons of flies flying around, probably due to the overfilling trash can. It was a little odd as to why the trash wasn't taken out and customers were throwing trash on the floor at that point.
Parlor Doughnuts was great! Definitely a spot I'd recommend. The doughnuts were soft, fluffy, and fresh. I had the OG Pepperoni along with the cinnamon sugar minis, and both were really good. I also tried the mango passion coconut milk refresher, which was sweet, refreshing, and packed with flavor.
Donut sleep on this place. This doughnut place nestled in the Heights area in Houston Texas should be added to your go to list. This is not your average doughnut place. These layered doughnut are made fresh and delicious. I recommend that you try the maples bacon one it's to drool over. They also have coffees, juices and teas. I will be back as I didn't try out their breakfast items as I was mainly there for their fluffy doughnuts. Not only did I get one to eat there I took home a full box of their different flavors. Each one was very tasty and fluffy.
Love that Parlor Doughnuts offers gluten-free and vegan donut options, along with a keto donut and dog donuts! However... this donut chain is so damn popular, you better go early or else it'll be slim pickin's. Good news is you can special order donuts, but it'll take a while. So sit back and enjoy a latte while you await. They also have savory bites, like tacos, egg and sausage biscruit, spinach and pesto breakfast sandwich, avo toast, acai bowl, etc.

Not new, but new to Houston...these are not donuts, and this is not a small artisan spot. You read that right, they're a decorated cronutesque dessert, called a layered donut, and this is a franchise. Layered, flaky, not overly sweet (although the frosting can be super sweet- burbon caramel flavor, I'm talking to you) , these little bad boys are certainly an experience. Of the 6 I tried: Strawberry shortcake- was the most balanced Burbon caramel- was the sweetest Churro and Lemon bar/sicle/ade- were fine Turtle (they were out of turtle cheesecake)- I'd prob get the turtle cheesecake instead. Campfire- I personally prefer the sponginess of a traditional donut for this flavor combo. Based on the service I received, which was pretty poor (I was not acknowledged for atleast 5 minutes. Once acknowledged I was not made to feel welcome...but maybe it was a bad day), I'd say 3 stars...likely won't be returning, but in sharing the 6 donuts I purchased, 3/4 folks loved them, so I'd likely return with them. Hopefully, they're still learning and the service will improve. Nothing beats eating fresh baked donuts at golden hour in their parloresque shop. It's the stuff movies are made of! Best of luck to them! read more

Such a cute place and ambience!! I came here with my friend for a lil Bible study and definitely made it one of our best ones yet. The service was amicable and the baristas were super friendly and genuinely seemed they enjoyed their job. So. Much. Options. To choose from. I eventually went with their Maple Bacon donut (trying to upp my protein, duh! lol) and my friend tasted their honey one. Both outstanding! I especially loved the inside gooey part of mineeee. My friend is typically not a super sweets person but she finished hers because it was just THAT darn gooood. I really also wanted to try their smores but moderation is something I've been working at... plus there's always next time ;) Overall, adorable spot for a book club or to get some work done! Super clean and well-kept! I hope they maintain their excellent 5 stars!! P.S. I didn't take a picture of hers because well she wanted to eat it so bad (next time I'll pull a Yelpie m o o d because phone gotta eat first!) read more

I ordered an iced Americano with an extra shot and two mini donuts (raspberry filled and cinnamon sugar). Service was fine. Ambiance was loud and I sat at the barstools. It was tasty and I'd go back. read more

Love! Love! Love! I will never not love parlor donuts. They are my go to cheat meal. They're my go to sweet treat. They are my go to coffee shop. They are my go to breakfast bite shop. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming no matter what time of day it is and I will never get over how delicious and fluffy these donuts are. They just melt in your mouth and their light and you really feel like you can eat a whole box by yourself. read more

Really delicious - happy to have them in the neighborhood! I really enjoyed their variety of flavors and will certainly have something new to try with their rotating seasonal options. The donuts are fritter-like in texture and consistency and big to boot! Easily shareable, but I don't blame you if you keep one (or more!) all to yourself. Outstanding selection of coffee drinks as well. I got their sprinkle (it had a cuter name that I cannot remember currently) and an assortment of others like honey, cinnamon, strawberry, and all were excellent and things I would get again. Their cold brew was nicely balanced. Parking: on site in a private lot. read more
Easiest 5 star I've handed out in a while. If you're a fan of the cronut style donut this is an absolute winner!! BIG layered croissant style donuts with plenty of chocolatey or fruity style toppings to pick from. My favorite was the raspberry pistachio, since the tartness helped cut through the sweetness of the heavy donuts I was trying. From the look of the menu, vegan/keto and other donuts are a available to customize if you choose to. Coffees are available to order as well, with some standard coffee flavors on menu. Love the throwback look of the early 1900's American Parlor room. Nice antiques furniture pieces scattered around, and the speaker for the music is in an old radio. Tables are small, so might not be able to come and sit for a while to eat with the kiddos, but there's plenty of parking to come and go as needed. read more

I really don't like donuts but I could possibly get addicted to these! I stopped in on a weekday afternoon. It wasn't crowded and there were still a few varied flavors left. The decor is a clean, rustic aesthetic which white subway tile and wood throughout. I decided to try two, the French toast which was labeled as a favorite, and the raspberry pistachio. I ate the latter first and the French toast the next day. The layered donuts remind me of a brioche more than a croissant. Light and fluffy with a buttery flavor. The raspberry glaze wasn't too sweet and the crushed pistachio complemented it well. The French toast the next day was great for breakfast and definitely sweeter. The maple glaze was delicious and I probably could have eaten another. I didn't get any drinks but my friend got an iced latte and liked it. I'm excited to try more of the flavors and the spinach pesto breakfast sandwich looked pretty good. I'm guessing parking can be a bit of an issue during peak times so plan accordingly! read more
Ordered an assortment of doughnuts and they were all HUGEEEE Got the s'mores, Oreo, strawberry shortcake, berry, churro and cinnamon flavored donuts. It deff taste better warm/reheated. It's a bit too sweet, just cause there's already sprinkled sugar on all of the donuts + the added cream/icing of whatever flavor the donut is, makes it extra extra sweet. These aren't your regular doughnuts either! They're more like a croissant texture with layers which was buttery. Almost like A Cronut. They have mini donuts as well with filling. Got the one that had eggnog filling and it was great. Also got the lavender iced latte and you can taste the lavender which was yummy. Service was not the best. We placed an additional order for one of the biscuits and confirmed it at the register and we waited almost 30 minutes for it and said it was "backed up" in the kitchen. Turned out the cashier never rang it up. So we just dismissed it. Parking - plenty within the plaza read more

Parlor Doughnuts made it into the Houston scene almost a year ago and in usual Justin fashion, I let the hype die down and came and checked it out recently. We left breakfast nearby still kind of hungry and decided to get something sweet to take home. Parlor Doughnuts is in a shopping strip with other businesses. Be careful where you park because some spots are specific to certain businesses. I like the look of the place with tile all over the place. The space itself is large, but the restaurant work space takes up most of the main dining room, along with a kitchen in the back. Seating is limited, so be ready to pounce on a seat when they open up. Customer service was cool, not much interaction with the friendly folks behind the counter. Service was slow from the time of ordering to the time to get what we ordered. I found that kind of odd considering the cases were full of donuts. They do make small batches throughout the day. You are not getting your typical yeast or cake donuts here. What you get here is layered donuts. It's different. The debate is if it's a cronut or not. I've had cronuts and I would say the consistency of the donuts are pretty similar. I think they were a little more airy to me than a cronut. There were so many good looking donuts to choose from. They have their mainstays, but they also have seasonal items. The ones that caught my attention immediately was the Sandy Beach and Cookies 'n' Cream. The Sandy Beach had "tastes like a cinnamon roll" under the name and I knew that was the one for me. I'm a sucker for a cinnamon roll and to get it in donut form seemed like a great idea. This donut was absolutely delicious. The donuts are huge. Upon first bite you get a slightly crisp exterior but inside it's super light and airy. I can see the cinnamon roll flavor comparison to be accurate. I wish it had just a tad bit more of a cinnamon punch to it. The Cookies 'n' Cream was tasty too. I like that both donuts weren't overly sweet. It paired well with my iced vanilla latte that I got. Parlor is definitely up there as one of the better donut options in the city. They just opened one up in the Clear Lake area which is close to home. I will definitely be back! read more

Great doughnuts! My family and I stopped in for their grand opening, and we're glad we did! The shop is so cute and they do have a parking lot out front. We ordered a variety of doughnuts and I also got a house coffee. My favorite flavor was their raspberry pistachio. The texture was soft and pillowy on the inside, and the sweet/salty combo was perfection. They also offer keto doughnuts and breakfast sandwiches available. This made for a Saturday breakfast treat! read more

These donuts are simply delicious! They are not only aesthetically appealing but they also taste really really good. I had the Cookies & Cream, Sandy Beach, Campfire, and the Churro doughnuts. They all are 10/10. You have to check them out! The atmosphere is like a Parisian coffee shop. The service was ok...I felt like I was being rushed a little bit and I was the only person in line. read more
NOT TOO SWEET That's how you know a dessert is good. These doughnuts are so unique IMO and bring something new to the Houston doughnut game. Rounding up the strip center off Yale that includes Be More Pacific, and Teahouse - Can only speak on the 4 doughnuts we got but wow. Flakey croissant like layers, fillings and toppings. Variety of flavors. When we walked in we assumed they were sold out because the display case was empty around 2pm on a Sunday. We were assured they had all the flavors, just in the back. Everyone else coming in said the same thing and tbh it almost deterred people from staying. They should make it clearer that they make fresh doughnuts all day long. Their hours are pretty intense, good on them. 6:30am - 6:30pm Asian owned franchise, I'm excited to see what's to come read more
Cute spot! They have a lot of options. I got a box of 4 for about almost $19. These are layered donuts so I guess kind of like a cronut?! lol. They tasted more doughy but less dry than normal donuts. More juicy but also more doughy lol kinda hard to describe. But they are decent. They're pretty sweet but not tooooo sweeeet. I think it's a good price and good options. They are good but didn't blow me away! read more

Donut spot where all the cool kids hang out at & I agree with them! Since I got there around 4:15 on a Sunday, they did not have that much of a variety but I was happy with what I got. Their triple chocolate donut wasn't that sweet and I loved how it was the perfect amount of chocolate. The top was chocolaty and the base was like a croissant. Normal donuts give you a sugar rush but this one wasn't like the normal donuts. Definitely will be back to try the other donuts. read more
Simply put: AMAZING!! These donuts are huge, sooo fresh and fluffy, and such a good variety of flavors! It was hard to choose. There's a parking lot and street parking, so you shouldn't have an issue. I got the cinnamon roll and the pb cup. Both were equally amazing. Like I mentioned, they're large!! So great price for what you get. They're also so fluffy and crisp. I loved it!! read more
A diff take on cronuts as they say. Diff flavors . It's ok for the price . Just ok at 4$ each with tax. A typical cafe setup . Quick service , modern contemporary decor. Hoping it can withstand competition in the area . Was first time trying the place, may go back to try other flavors and coffe I was recommended the French toast by the barista and I also got the churro flavored one. Pretty good but have had better . read more
There's a variety of donuts to choose from. I can't remember everything that we ordered but we tried the raspberry pistachio, bourbon caramel, churro, turtle cheesecake, cafe sua da, and a couple others. The raspberry pistachio was our favorite. Everything else, flavor wise was light or was alright. What I love about Parlor Doughnuts is the texture. It has a flakey outter layer, similar to a croissant. But it's soft and chewy on the inside, almost a mochi-like texture. I love the play on texture and I can see why others enjoy it. We ordered coffee too. I had the iced caramel latte, which was decent. My bf got the cold brew and he said it was okay. I wouldn't recommend the drinks here but the donuts are delicious! read more

One of the most yummy niche style croissant donuts. They had all of the flavors that I wanted to try when I visited and the lattes were very tasty! read more
Parlor Doughnuts has come to the Heights and I have a feeling they'll be changing the Houston doughnut scene for the better. What they call "layered doughnuts" is really like a cronut (croissant donut), made famous originally by Dominique Ansel in NYC. These big doughnuts are huge, over on top, and even bigger in flavor. Walking in, the shop is charming. I love the big windows letting in lots of natural lighting. You instantly smell fresh roasted coffee to pair with their doughnuts. Flavor wise, our favorites were the maple bacon, raspberry pistachio, and turtle cheesecake. No matter what flavor you get though, the texture of the doughnut is really what makes these doughnuts. The flaky, croissant-like doughnuts are big, fluffy, with still a good chew to them. Parlor Doughnuts is now a Houston favorite for years to come. These would honestly be a hit if you brought them to a party for a fun dessert. I can't wait to come back to try the rest of the flavors, or they even have savory things in the kitchen like breakfast tacos or breakfast sandwiches. Enjoy! read more
Really enjoyed my first time trying Parlor Doughnuts! Came in on a Sunday around 11am and it was very crowded (not to an unpleasant extent though) and the line was to the back of the store. However, service was pretty quick and we were able to order after ~10 minutes of waiting. The donuts and drinks came out soon after. Overall, impressed with the quality and speed of service, even during peak hours! As for the doughnuts themselves, I thought they were delicious. The croissant-like dough was so soft and pulled apart so satisfyingly. We ordered the strawberry shortcake and bourbon caramel flavors and they were both very good. They were a little too sweet for my taste, but still good as long as I'm not having more than 1 or 2. The prices are also amazing, considering that the doughnuts are huge. The main reason I took off one star was for the coffee. I ordered a lavender iced latte, and it was just fine--nothing special. The lavender syrup taste was subtle and the coffee felt a bit watered down. Not bad, though. Overall, definitely recommend stopping by! read more

This store is SUPER UNDERSTAFFED! The donuts are amazing but we were limited to how many we could buy because they only had 12 donuts! There were only two employees working. The cashier was doing what she could but poor girl was stressed. This business is so successful and has enough resources to pay employees what they deserve and have a full staff! This was my first time in store, I've only ordered uber before. It was disappointing. read more

I stopped by this place after grabbing my coffee nearby. It's situated in a small plaza alongside other shops and a drink store. The parking area is decent, although some spots are reserved for specific shops. Upon entering the donut shop, the display case showcased a variety of donuts. If you don't find the one you're looking for, just ask; they might have some in the back or in the process of making more. I was after the minis, but they were temporarily unavailable. A friendly lady informed me it would take about 6 minutes for another batch to be ready, so I decided to wait. I also picked up a cookies and cream donut and a dog treat. The dog treat was a hit with my pup. After giving it to him, he tagged along with me all day, hoping for more treats! The minis were delicious, though unfortunately, they were out of the raspberry flavor. I could only try the cinnamon and sugar and the coconut. They packed both into one box, and at first glance, you could distinguish between them. However, in our experience, some had filling, while a few (around 3-4) didn't. So, I'm unsure if the lack of filling was intentional or not. Nevertheless, the cookies and cream donut was fantastic. I loved the flakiness and the layers in the donut. read more

Known for their "Layered" Doughnuts, something along the lines of a Fritter made of Brioche, Parlor Doughnuts has rapidly expanded via a franchising from Evansville Indiana where the original opened in February 2019. A concept from Darrick Hayden and Josh Tudela, the Heights location debuted late-2023, it is inside a room bathed by natural light that guests will discover fair prices and friendly service atop a menu able to accommodate most dietary restrictions or preferences. Neither yeast nor cake, the pull-apart Dough more akin to a Croissant, each Parlor Doughnut is a lumpy mound topped by flavors running the gamut from bittersweet Vietnamese Coffee or fragrant Raspberry to sweeter Churros or best-selling French Toast. read more

Whenever I'm craving something sweet, this is my go-to spot! The croissant donuts are always fresh, flaky, and bursting with flavor. My absolute favorite is the French toast donut rich, and just the right amount of sweetness. That said, you really can't go wrong with any of their flavors. Everything I've tried has been consistently delicious. Highly recommend this place to anyone with a sweet tooth you won't be disappointed! read more

We were quietly greeted by the girl in the front. There was a large variety of flavors to choose from, though most seemed to be variations of each other. I chose the honey glazed flavor because it looked the most tempting as it was covered with sugar, dipped in glaze and drizzled with honey. The donut had a thin crispy shell with fluffy and thick yeasty layers. Surprisingly, I didn't feel weighed down by eating it. If the front parking fills up with quick, there's plenty of parking on the side of the building. One of the guys let me have the donut in the front of the tray, which was nice. It was the most fluffy to me. The ambiance is more modern with traditional mixed in. Part of the staff have drink duty, so they don't appear to interact with customers. read more

My usually breakfast spot wasn't open and I was on a time constraint so I decided to stop by. Had high hopes based on the reviews. Really great renovation on the taco restaurant that was there. The display case filled with sweet temptations was amazing. I know this is a doughnut spot, but I didn't want a diabetes breakfast. Went with the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on sourdough. Not great. Their coffee machine was down, but they could do cappuccino or americano. Not sure how the regular coffee was down with those options, but ordered a cappuccino. It was just a few degrees above room temperature. Decent flavor, just not even close to hot. I'll give it another shot if I'm wanting a donut, but otherwise note sure if I'm going back. read more
