I saw a review posted by another Yelp elite friend, and he mentioned cronuts, which caught my eye since I've been in search of a good one in Houston. Also, I had a friend who already tried a couple flavors and recommended one to me. First off, this location replaced La Vibra tacos. It shares parking with Be More Pacific, Hotworx, and a boba and poke place. The inside space is nice and open with a few seating options. The flooring print is so pretty. The menu is a bit difficult to read with the lighting in the way, but you can look at their window display and admire all the flavor options. There's also a printed copy at the register. I bought 2 flavors - French toast and turtle cheesecake. French toast was good and tasted much like the cereal. The turtle cheesecake had the traditional toppings, and the cheesecake part actually tasted like cream cheese. I also tried some of the coconut icing off of the coconut cream filled one. I think I like that and the French toast of the three I tasted. If it looks like they ran out of a flavor, just ask. They've got more in the back. I personally don't agree that it's a cronut since it's not shaped like a donut like Five Daughters Bakery in Nashville which has also expanded to Atlanta. It's shaped like a donut with the 100 flaky layers and has a light icing or topping. This is more like a large, flavored croissant with different toppings or fillings. Not new, but new to Houston...these are not donuts, and this is not a small artisan spot. You read that right, they're a decorated cronutesque dessert, called a layered donut, and this is a franchise. Layered, flaky, not overly sweet (although the frosting can be super sweet- burbon caramel flavor, I'm talking to you) , these little bad boys are certainly an experience. Of the 6 I tried: Strawberry shortcake- was the most balanced Burbon caramel- was the sweetest Churro and Lemon bar/sicle/ade- were fine Turtle (they were out of turtle cheesecake)- I'd prob get the turtle cheesecake instead. Campfire- I personally prefer the sponginess of a traditional donut for this flavor combo. Based on the service I received, which was pretty poor (I was not acknowledged for atleast 5 minutes. Once acknowledged I was not made to feel welcome...but maybe it was a bad day), I'd say 3 stars...likely won't be returning, but in sharing the 6 donuts I purchased, 3/4 folks loved them, so I'd likely return with them. Such a cute place and ambience!! I came here with my friend for a lil Bible study and definitely made it one of our best ones yet. The service was amicable and the baristas were super friendly and genuinely seemed they enjoyed their job. So. Much. Options. To choose from. I eventually went with their Maple Bacon donut (trying to upp my protein, duh! lol) and my friend tasted their honey one. Both outstanding! I especially loved the inside gooey part of mineeee. My friend is typically not a super sweets person but she finished hers because it was just THAT darn gooood. My partner and I went here for a coffee date. It was mid-morning, and the place was not packed at all. The place is super cute on the inside with a few tables and chairs for you to sit. I sat and worked while we waited for our coffee and food. The service was fantastic, it was our 1st time there and there were so many options that looked delicious. We ended up getting an iced white chocolate blondie and it was sooo good! I had one with oat milk and no whipped cream and my partner had it as is and both were delicious. They weren't too sweet, it was a perfect mix. We also got the avocado toast which was delicious!! They sprinkle a little tajin on top of the egg and avocado, chefs kiss! The decor is a clean, rustic aesthetic which white subway tile and wood throughout. I decided to try two, the French toast which was labeled as a favorite, and the raspberry pistachio. I ate the latter first and the French toast the next day. The layered donuts remind me of a brioche more than a croissant. Light and fluffy with a buttery flavor. The raspberry glaze wasn't too sweet and the crushed pistachio complemented it well. The French toast the next day was great for breakfast and definitely sweeter. Yum! Personally, I loved these doughnuts. The texture was somewhere in between a regular donut and a cronut. Flaky dough but not overly dry. They have lots of flavors to choose from, including a few seasonal. They also have vegan and "keto friendly" options (not really sure what that means in terms of sweetener exactly, you'd have to ask). I think my favorites were the honey lavender (seasonal), raspberry pistachio, and the dreamsicle (orange). I brought a dozen to a party and they were a huge hit. No idea what their inventory is like if you just walk in. I think the doughnuts can be made to order if you're willing to wait? Really enjoyed my first time trying Parlor Doughnuts! Came in on a Sunday around 11am and it was very crowded (not to an unpleasant extent though) and the line was to the back of the store. However, service was pretty quick and we were able to order after ~10 minutes of waiting. The donuts and drinks came out soon after. Overall, impressed with the quality and speed of service, even during peak hours! As for the doughnuts themselves, I thought they were delicious. The croissant-like dough was so soft and pulled apart so satisfyingly. We ordered the strawberry shortcake and bourbon caramel flavors and they were both very good. They were a little too sweet for my taste, but still good as long as I'm not having more than 1 or 2. The prices are also amazing, considering that the doughnuts are huge. A friendly lady informed me it would take about 6 minutes for another batch to be ready, so I decided to wait. I also picked up a cookies and cream donut and a dog treat. The dog treat was a hit with my pup. After giving it to him, he tagged along with me all day, hoping for more treats! The minis were delicious, though unfortunately, they were out of the raspberry flavor. I could only try the cinnamon and sugar and the coconut. They packed both into one box, and at first glance, you could distinguish between them. However, in our experience, some had filling, while a few (around 3-4) didn't. TLDR: Amazing Doughnuts, Mid Coffee, beware of dozens and persistent lack of flavors. I discovered Parlor Doughnuts about 2 month ago and have been back several times because they truly have amazing donuts and I have been trying to try all the flavors. However, I would note that during both weekends and weekdays they seem to be out of and running low on many flavors. Today, I ordered a fan favorites half dozen online and did not receive 4 out of the 6 flavors that were advertised, they also gave me 2 of the same flavor. There was no mention of this at the time of pickup in store, so beware that if they are out, they will just give you random flavors that you did not order, nor will they consult you about what substitutions you may or may not like, be allergic to, etc. In my multiple trips, I have found that during the weekday mornings they are significantly less busy than the weekends, so I haven't had to wait many times or for too long, and enjoy it for a quick breakfast grab. On weekends you can wait for about 15 minutes before getting to the counter. Additionally, I found their coffee to be okay. Certainly drinkable and when I go, I typically grab an iced latte so I can have my morning caffeine, but I wouldn't rave about it or go just for that. The donuts are definitely the star here. The staff has ranged from kind and patient to seemingly judgmental and inpatient when I had a question, etc. Like any restaurant, you will have differences in personnel, and overall I feel that i have had a good experience, but felt I should note it so if someone in mgmt reads this, they can try to make an improvement here. All in all I will come back and continue to enjoy their donuts, but be straying away from dozens and hoping they have the flavors in stock I still need to try. read more

The bag ripped in my car and left an oil spot on my seats. My original wants was the mini's that were offered, something quick and easy to eat for family. I chose the honey glazed flavor because it looked the most tempting as it was covered with sugar, dipped in glaze and drizzled with honey. The donut had a thin crispy shell with fluffy and thick yeasty layers. Surprisingly, I didn't feel weighed down by eating it. If the front parking fills up with quick, there's plenty of parking on the side of the building. One of the guys let me have the donut in the front of the tray, which was nice.
