I'd actually been to Day 6 Coffee Co. once years ago when I worked downtown, and recently decided to stop back by on a Saturday morning. The line was kind of long, but not unbearably so. Busy enough to expect a wait, but nothing that made me want to leave. I ordered the brisket sammich and a Texas latte. The sandwich came out hot and fresh with a good amount of meat, though it definitely wasn't smoked brisket if that's what you're expecting. The Texas latte was okay. It needed more ice for me, so I asked for extra, which helped. Also could use a touch of sweetener. I waited about 8-10 minutes for my order, and by the time my food came out, a table had opened up, so timing worked out perfectly. The space has a really nice vibe overall and feels like a good place to sit for a bit, catch up with someone, or get some work done. Overall, solid experience. Between the atmosphere and convenient location, I'd definitely venture back again.
Very cute and cozy coffee bar. The prices are very affordable my cup of coffee was 6$. The seating is limited but they also offer a more private room in the back towards the bathroom for those who may need to take calls or meetings.

Once I reached the counter, the gentleman helped me with selecting a coffee and even answered a few clarifying questions I had about ingredients. I got 2 cortados (I drank the first one so fast that I needed another one), a vanilla latte (sweet but balanced), and two croissants (almond and chocolate). My friends got a cheesecake latte (cupcake dominant and didn't have enough cookie butter flavoring), a white mocha hot chocolate (pretty good), and a blueberry muffin (amazingly soft, flavorful, and balanced). All together, I'll be coming back much more often!!!

But if you plan to stay a while definitely pay, or try and find free street parking in the surrounding area. Service- was great, there was only 1 person in line in front of me. The nice gentleman that served me was Abu, I belive he said he was a Manger but not the owner. He answered my questions and helped me determine my order, and was very kind and friendly. I wish I could have stayed to enjoy my cup a while. The place is cutely decorated with some great art pieces. And with tables/chairs to work and vibe. He told me they have more space in the back as well. There were several customers around, it seemed chill. Drink- I got the Chai latte and it was great, not too sweet. I didnt get any sweets, but I see they have lots of options. Love supporting Black owned businesses, and hope to patronize this place again.

I chose the lavender latte and the brisket taco and both were absolutely delish! When we arrived there was line but it moved pretty quickly. I can definitely understand why it's so popular. The shop is located in the heart of downtown, so there's only street parking available for a fee. I think there may have been a nearby parking garage as well. I realized I may want to explore downtown a little more in the future, so it's good to know that I can stop by this gem while in the area. I highly recommend!

Tried the chai latte, and ube latte from here. Both drinks weren't exceptional, but they were both drinkable. The drinks were made super duper hot, so it was kind of hard to enjoy them without burning your mouth. However, the service was good and there was plenty of seating inside. The next time that I come, I'd probably try the matcha latte. PS parking can be a hassle
Decent, well-priced coffee and really delicious muffins. They also have a lot of interesting specialty lattes on their menu. Quick, friendly service and great ambiance to do work or grab coffee and chat. The shop is decorated with artwork done by local Black artists
4.5. The food and drink were great. It's a small coffee shop with varying types of seating. They have unique latte offerings and plenty of bakery options which excited me. Service was great, fast, and friendly. We tried a cheesecake latte, chai latte, an americano, a breakfast taco, jalapeno sausage kolache, and an apple cinnamon muffin. A nice array! We really liked everything but had a few nits. The kolache would've been even better with (more?) cheese and it was slightly overheated so the bread was tough in spots. The sausage was deeeeeliicous. The muffin was great. The taco was very good and would've been better with crispier bacon. Overall, definitely putting it on my coffee shop list and coming back for that cheesecake latte.
Was strolling through the area with my wife and wanted to grab coffee and step out of the rain. Yelp to the rescue. This looked like a cool spot and only a short walk from the underground food hall. Loved the vibe and decor. We both ordered the Texas Latte iced and it was great. Can't go wrong with caramel in coffee. Would definitely stop by again next time I'm in the area.
Very chill spot to hangout or work remote for a few hours. The homeless will come in to cause havoc but an employee stopped her quickly. A few of them tend to hang outside of the cafe. If you're not from Houston, it may scare you away; people are still people. You dont have to be mean to avoid them. I ordered a coffee and muffin and worked for a bit on my computer. There are charging ports underneath the tables. Its cold inside so bring a jacket if you are typically chilly.
Stopped by Day 6 Coffee while visiting Houston on a quick business trip. As you walk in you instantly get hit with a cool industrial meets library vibe. Staff greeted me right away which is always a win. Ordered the Texas latte and it was on point, flavorful without being overly sweet. Also had the breakfast sandwich with sausage and added potatoes because that just felt like the right life decision, and it paid off. Really good food, great service, and a spot I'd definitely come back to when back in Houston.
I stumbled across this coffee shop before going to a baseball game and I am glad I did. I was looking for a matcha and a pastry and they had everything I was looking for. The staff were very friendly and helped me with everything. The shop doesn't have much seating but there is a small lounge towards the back (near the restrooms) that's very quiet and adds additional seating for patrons. The matcha was a tad sweet but overall good. I'll definitely stop by again for another treat. Peace.

Service: Very friendly and welcoming. Food: The iced lavender latte with oat milk was very delicious and refreshing. I ordered the almond croissant and was not impressed. It tasted store bought, and way too sweet for me personally. Ambiance: The cafe is tiny, but it has plenty of seating. There is a sitting area with a handful of more comfy chairs for those that want to stay longer and get comfortable. They also had about 4-5 tables along the wall with about 3-4 chairs each. read more

Shoutout to a Black owned coffee shop! I came through here afterwork for a boost of energy before my workout. This cafe is located downtown so no dedicated lot just the usual paid street parking. This place has a cozy interior with an assortment of reading options to your immediate right. The place is larger than I initially thought upon arriving and I do believe there is an upstairs. I ordered a cinnamon roll latte with oat milk. Very very good and not to sweet! It was the standard issue price of coffee beverages around $7. Overall good service and good coffee with a variety of unique choices on the menu that I'll definitely be back to try. read more

Great coffee- which is what this place is known for. The Texas Latte is amazing. I would stay far away from the matcha. Unless you like drinking straight oat milk. Would also stay away from their sausage kolaches. read more
i am a "coffee drink" girl, and less of a coffee drinker.. if that makes sense. i had a cinnamon toast crunch or something drink.. and a spinach & feta croissant. the service was what you expect at a decent coffee place, standoffish (lol). but kind nonetheless! if day 6 was closer, i would visit it regularly. there is a lot of seating, the bathrooms are clean, and the overall ambiance is warm & inviting. bonne appétit read more
We walked here on a Saturday morning and I am so glad we did! It has such a cool vibe. Artsy, funky, with plants, comfy armchairs, quite enough tables! The employee who took our order was super kind and informative while we decided what to eat. I got a cheesecake iced latte and a breakfast taco. Both were AMAZING!!!!!! How do I go back to normal lattes after this?! My daughter got a delicious chocolate croissant and lemonade. We will definitely come back! read more
While searching for a new coffee spot in downtown I came to Day 6. Walking to the location was a bit sketchy and I couldn't really decipher where I would park if I was driving. Definitely seems like a walkable spot. Swrvice was very casual. The gentleman that helped me was patient with me since it was my first time, he suggested the Texas latte since its a popular drink. I ordered a croissant breakfast sandwich which was HUGE. The environment was overall quiet, a great place to work remotely or study. The art on the walls was very unique and on sale! Shoutout to everyone else that raved about this place! The cafe it self is filled with beautiful art and multiple seating options. Whether you're looking for a place to work or meet an old friend Day 6 is your spot. The espresso it self is very smooth and didn't leave a burnt taste in my mouth. Stopped in on a Saturday morning. It's conveniently located downtown. Staff were very friendly. Took items to go but it looked like a cozy space - people were playing chess, working, etc. Had a cold brew, pumpkin muffin with cream cheese frosting and a breakfast sandwich with brisket. I was visiting Houston and stopped by two days in a row! Everything was that good! Drink: (5/5) I had the Texas Latte & Cheesecake Latte ! The Texas Latte is their signature and baby there is a reason why! So freaking good ! Food/Pastry: (5/5) BEST MUFFINS EVER!!! We had an assortment throughout the weekend. Blueberry, Apple & Cinnamon, and Peach Cobbler! All of them had pieces of fruit in them. They were really nice size , moist, and just you got to get them! We also had the Croissant sandwiches and they were also delicious ! I had the Brisket one and BABYYYYY get you one of them! Environment: (5/5) This place has a good amount of seating, but it was popping both days we went! There was always a line so you know they have the good goods! Their motto "Where coffee meets connection" and that it did. What better way to start this chilly weather week than with a nice Texas Latte?! I've visited before but missed sharing a review, I know shame on me! It's 2025, I'm trying to do better ya'll! From this visit consistent with my previous the service was quick, friendly, warm and welcoming. This time I went during work with friend during work break and while we didn't come for extended stay, we hung out for a little bit and talked to the barista about their commissioned Pulp Fiction art work having Day 6 mugs in it, definitely a real conversation piece. My order was the Texas latte, consisting of caramel and vanilla bean, with oat milk. It was smooth, velvety and not too sweet. Finished that so quick, I wanted more. They have nice areas to either hang out, do some work and offer wifi. Parking is available on the street if you're not downtown. read more
Loved the ambiance of this spot! So many people working from here. The baristas were really nice and fast. I got the coffee of the month which was a cinnamon roll latte and it was amazing. Great Houston coffee spot! When visiting Downtown Houston, I noticed that most coffee shops were either in hotel/business building lobbies or chains. When I found Day 6 Coffee, I was thrilled with their small shop and eclectic vibes. I happened in on a busy morning but staff had the crowd completely under control. A lot of people had ordered food, which looked really good, but I got a Lavender Latte. The drink was ready in minutes. It had a frothy too, drinkable temp, and great flavor! The lavender taste came through the whole time I drank it which is rare. Be sure to give Day 6 Coffee a try; you won't be disappointed! read more

Cute black owned coffee shop in downtown not far from where I'm staying and that strawberries and cream muffin with the cheesecake latte was delightful. They have a great selection of savory and sweet bites but I wanted to try something new. The playlist was a vibe and the service was fast. There were plenty people working on their laptops but also locals who were stopping in for their caffeine fix. Worth visiting if you're in the area. read more

Excellent cortado!! Surprisingly great with oat milk, giving the coffee a flavor boost! Best coffee I've had in Houston so far! Highly recommend, very clean, with plenty of seating, decor is very homey. I'll definitely stop by next time I'm in town. read more
To be perfectly honest, I hardly ever venture into Downtown anymore. Unless there's a Rockets game to attend or I'm checking out Post, I basically avoid Downtown. However, I haven't completely given up on this part of town even though it is long past its heyday and so much of what I liked about the old Downtown no longer exists. I had heard of Day 6 before, but one day I just decided to give it a try. And since I've always loved unique coffeehouses, this place caught my attention. I ordered a cheesecake latte, which was really good. The service was also good, and I complimented the barista on the delicious coffee. The holiday decor was warm and inviting, and other people visiting Day 6 seemed to enjoy their time spent there. I definitely look forward to returning. read more
Visited for the first time. Cozy atmosphere with exposed bricks, woods, and metals. I hade their chicken croissant sandwich and a chai tea - DIVINE! The service was personable and spot on. I went there to work on my novel, though the crowd noise wasn't ideal and the chairs aren't made for long term sitting - I'd still recommend! read more
